This is one of those places that you don't expect to be as good as it was. As others have said, it is in a strip mall so that usually never means "good food". However, Bouder Creek (And their sister location, Charbono's) is rather good. Although I think their steak prices are a bit high for the area. I've gone here with other adults for dinner and also with family (and kids). Every time I've been the food and service have been above average. They have a wide variety of options on their menu. From steak to salad, chicken and fish. And if you like to try bread with some unique olive oil dip, try theirs! It is very good and not like any I've had elsewhere. I stopped by Charbono's (Avon) one evening with my daughters and didn't realize that they were basically the same as Boulder Creek. However, once we got the bread we realized this and the waitress confirmed. So, try Charbono's as well although don't expect any other variety. read more

Went here last night for Valentine's dinner. Good atmosphere and service was great. I had the chicken parm and she had the Horeradish Dijon steak. Ordered medium well, came out more rare. But they more than made good on it by fixing correctly and not only bring the steak back but a whole new plate of food. So remember they do cook to the rare side on the steak. Stopped in for lunch and was seated immediately as the place was not very busy. The interior of the place is very nice and the servers were friendly. I ordered an appetizer, a sandwich, and a side which the total was almost 60 dollars for me and my wife who ordered a chicken salad. The sandwich was decent and so was the appetizer but nothing special, but the side of lobster mac and cheese was just awful and lacked any flavor at all and at an additional 3 dollars it was way overpriced as well as watery and could not even be eaten. The wait for our food was over an hour and the staff seemed very inattentive despite there only being a few people in there. In summary the food was definitely overpriced and nothing special, and wait times were horrendous for a sandwich and salad at lunch. read more

Service perfection! Excellent, flavorful food. The half rack ribs were yummy as was the Parmesan risotto. Grilled asparagus were great. Mom had the scallops which are her favorite and she enjoyed them. The 'side salad' was really yummy - I recommend it over the Caesar salad (which is boring). Wine - meh. The noise level is excruciatingly loud. Could not hear the person seated 2 ft away across our table! Like trying to eat on an airport runway! DO something about the noise, please!!! Next time we'll see if there's such a thing as a quiet table for our party of 12. Passing thru Indiana and stayed at the Comfort Suites Hotel in Brownsburg. Ken at the from desk recommended Boulder Creek Dining. Good recommendation. We both got the soup of the day, like a chicken pot pie soup. Delicious. I got chicken and black bean quesadillas which were very tasty. My husband got the black and bleu salad. Decided to give Boulder Creek a try as we were passing thru and after reading positive reviews. Really enjoyed the spicy garlic shrimp which was recommended by our friendly waitress. For the main course the camp fire pasta (also recommended by the waitress) that my husband had was terrific. I had the slow roasted steak sandwich which was good (a little soggy) although the waffle fries with the jalapeño cheese sauce was delicious. Excellent food and great service! We were in town for MotoGP races and ate dinner at Boulder Creek twice in 2 days (first meal was so good we just couldn't resist coming back the next day). They have a very diverse menu, yet everything our group of four ordered was superb--quite tasty with excellent presentation. Casual, relaxed atmosphere with a good bar and adequate wine list. Our entire meal, from appetizers to desserts, was great on both visits. We will definitely eat at Boulder Creek next time we are in the area and I highly recommend this unpretentious restaurant to anybody who is looking for an excellent meal at a fair price. read more

Boulder Creek is our go to when friends or family come to town. They offer a varied menu, so whether we want a steak and a glass of wine or a sandwich, we know it will be good and everyone will find something they like. My personal favorites are the fried tenderloin sandwich(if you aren't from Indiana, just try it!), the margarita pizza, seven field greens salad with chicken, and the steaks, depending what I am hungry for. They bring yummy bread and dipping oil before the meal and they keep your drinks full. The pizzas are wood fired and excellent for one or get a house salad and share one. It is also a great place to sit outside in summer. read more

This was our first time there but we had been to Stone Creek and Charbonnos, owned by the same group several times and they had always been good so we decided to try it. While there, I started with the French Onion Soup followed by the Seafood Broiler platter that included Mahi Mahi, shrimp, scallops and a crab cake. This was very good. My wife and I have been meaning to try this restaurant since we moved to Brownsburg about a year ago. We were promptly seated on the patio. We sat looking at the menu for 10 minutes before the waitress greeted us. We ordered drinks and continued to wait. After another 10 minutes, and no sign of the waitress, we left this establishment. I was not at all impressed with the food nor the service. Especially for the bill we received. The food had the potential to be great but it came out cold. Our server took forever for drinks and we never did get any more bread while waiting for our food. I was excited to try a few of the martini's but it took so long to get the first one that I was afraid to order another in fear we would be waiting until after dinner to receive it. Atmosphere is rustic-ranch. Greeters smile & are welcoming. Warm, soft bread with olive oil for dipping is served after being seated. Often order the Angel Hair Pasta & Shrimp along with a House Salad. Their Mediterranean Vinaigrette Dressing is best I've tasted & goat cheese they add to dressing is perfect. As an appetizer, I cannot pass up the Shrimp Cocktail and it's perfectly-hot cocktail sauce. Our children like the Chicken Tenders but the Filet Mignon is our all-time favorite. Food is served hot and in a timely manner. Steaks consistently have excellent flavor: meats are not overly salted as experienced at other places. Vegetables are not mushy; their grilling makes them quite tasty. Have friends who rave about the oven-fired Pizzas. We've also ordered B-B-Q Ribs w/extra sauce that were good. If you're lucky enough to have Amy G. as your Server, dinner will be extra special. She seems to know what you need before even asking. Service was good but when they bought out my girlfriends crab cake they should have given her a straw to eat it with. Severly undercooked and runny. I ordered the scallops and they were overcooked. Me and my husband visited Boulder creek for the first time this past weekend we met up with my son and his wife and I was not sure what to expect but I can easily say it is now an instant favorite. We walked in and loved the atmosphere. We came in on Sunday and saw they had a brunch menu with a lot of breakfast items but the dinner menu was very elaborate and we decided to go with a little from each. Derek was our waiter and WOW we where amazed we couldn't have asked for anybody better he was very upbeat and his knowledge of the menu was great. He answered every question we had, he even let us sample the soup of the day which was a red pepper soup and it was really good. His coustmer service skills where unparalleled he really made an effort to make sure we had a great experience and we would go back just to see him. He also gave us a Rewards card and informed us that it was a chain and that our card would work at any of the restaurants and that we can use it to get points to get a $100 gift card so we where very excited about that, so we are excited to see what else these restaurants have in store. I got the chicken scaloppine that Derek said was one of his favorite dishes and he wasn't wrong it was a great dish and the blue cheese mashed potatoes where great. My husband loved his steak and eggs. All across the board it was a great experience thank you Derek and the whole Cunningham group we can't wait to come back. read more
