We stayed here for a weekend, and as big Marriott visitors, this one met our expectations! We were welcomed when we first came in and check in went quick and smoothly. We had to interact with the front desk a few different things, and Blake was who helped us and he alone deserves a 5 star review! We had our room upgraded for free by him, as well as he helped us with getting some documents we needed printed. He did this without hesitation and was truly there for helping the guests. Our room, and the hotel as a whole, was clean and comfortable with a great view of the mountains! It also has underground parking for guests which we were able to utilize! The elevators only go to guest floors with a room key which is a unique but comforting feature as a guest, knowing not just anyone can come up to the guest floors. The hotel was quiet and we couldn't hear any other people in the hallway while we were in our room. The hotel itself has lots of things within walking distance and an easy drive to more restaurants. Boulder Mountain park is also a short drive away and provides for great views from the hotel itself as well! There's also a nice outdoor seating and fire tables at night which is a fun hangout spot for guests. If I had to give something to improve, our shower in our room was a little leaky and dripped while it was off. It wasn't a major issue but just something I noticed right away! The chairs in the Canyon Lounge are also were very uncomfortable to sit in while having a few drinks. Overall, I could see myself staying here on my next trip to Boulder! read more

Near to the check in desk is an array of drinks and snacks (even some new bottled Starbucks refreshers!). This conveniently located hotel offers a lovely restaurant, bar, pool and rooftop space. Just steps from the 29th st mall, sprouts for specialty food/supplements and a short walk to downtown Boulder. Really nice hotel in a great area with views. Very close to a lot of things. I was in town for work and this was a very pleasant stay. The WeWork was conveniently located right across the street. There's also a Sprouts supermarket and a lot of good options around the way. This was a nice hotel in Boulder. I do recommend it especially if you are a business traveler.

Was in town for a wedding reception. Most of the wedding guests were staying at the HGI across the street, but I had a better deal here. Both these hotels were billed by the groom as within walking distance to the places we were going to - but those places were by the Pearl St mall, about a mile away. Close to the hotel, but not really walkable if one plans on dinner and a drink - and heading back some 5-6 hours later. It was an easy drive though and parking was pretty cheap. The best part of the hotel was the staff - pleasant and helpful. I had a beer at the bar my first day there and spoke with Roger, who I believe was the F&B manager. Nice guy to talk with - pretty friendly. Desk staff was good as well - always had a good answer to any questions I had. The room was generall pretty good, clean and minimal wear. The only issue I had was that I set the thermostat for 70 degrees and the unit/fan would turn on about every 10 minutes - seemed pretty excessive. Parking was $20 per night - garage below the hotel. Good experience overall - would stay again if in Boulder. read more

I had to go to Boulder for a family emergency. Staying here was my respite from what was happening. Everyone was so nice, they are practicing very good Covid precautions, my room was spacious and clean. I asked for a room with a view and she gave me one. I was able to use the pool all to myself by reserving it. It just could not have been better. read more

Parking is $18 a night. Updated, trendy, and a cozy lounge area. The bar is a great place to hang out as there is a fire place, couches, and a pool table. They have a pool and fitness center, and it is pretty conveniently located for a short Uber ride to pearl st bars. Rooms were very comfortable and modern. Would stay here again! read more

Stayed here recently for work. From the outside, the hotel looks a little dated, but once inside it is clear it underwent a great remodel to make it more modern. The new rooms are nice. I loved that the glass doors towards the outdoors opened to get fresh air. The showers are great. The lobby bar was ok. Nothing special, but an open welcoming space with a pool table and several TVs. The club room was nice and large. Plenty of places to hang out and work while enjoying the free beverages and breakfast. It is centrally locates. Strangely located in the parking lot of a grocery store and some other shopping that has clearly grown up around it, but a short drive or bike ride to Pearl Street, CU and several local breweries. read more

The property itself seemed recently redone and was pretty nice. The DETAILS, however, left a lot to be desired. The front desk people wore casual out to dinner clothes (while everyone else was full Marriott attired). There was a pile of puke in the garage for at least 24 hours (and mandated $20 garage parking even with the restaurants closed and all the ground level spots were open). Stains on furniture and garbage in the halls that never moved. Could be a star, but needs some serious polishing. read more

I didn't get a chance to stay here, but came here for a conference. They were nothing but great! Starting from walking into the door, the concierge desk was courteous and helpful right away. The lobby has two fruit-infused waters that became my weekend addiction (you guys gotta try it)! The restrooms were clean and we each stall had a private sinks in them. The bar and restaurant were very friendly and served us free coffee until 10am everyday. The lounge area in the lobby was relaxing and inviting. The service and amenities here piqued my interest in staying here in the future. read more

Probably one of the worst rooms I've had in quite some time. Like many of the other complaints the rooms are gross. Maybe it's because it's only $100 a night for the most basic room and I guess you get what you pay for, but I feel like a hotel should feel like a hotel not a motel! The shower curtain was disgusting, the sink didn't drain, hair and fuzzies on bed sheet, stains on floor, cracks in the ceiling, and the outer side of the toilet looked to have dried up urine next to the bolts of the toilet. I can't express how unhappy I was! We were only staying a night so we made it work, but I will never go back. I highly recommend you look elsewhere. read more

Serves basic breakfast. Couldn't try dinner due to weekend stay. Room is cozy and depending on the side your room is, you can get a view of the nearby mountain. I spent two nights at the Marriott Boulder this past weekend for my friend's wedding. We stayed in a room with a king-size bed and overall it was a nice experience. A few things to note: - If you're enrolled in Marriott rewards, wifi is free. If not, it's $12.95 a day. - They say you have to pay for parking, but it was never tracked nor charged to our room... I wouldn't come expecting that, however. - The hotel is conveniently located next to Boulder hotspots. Everyone seemed to love The Buff for meals and we were a short ride away from Pearl Street and the CU campus. - The lounge area for higher up guests has free snacks, drinks and coffee machine! It was really nice, especially for breakfast time. Besides that, the bed was really comfy, the showers had very high pressure, there were complimentary water bottles provided, and we ran into no real problems. On the day of my friend's wedding, I spent most of the morning in her big suite on the fifth floor with a gorgeous view of the Flatirons. It wasn't anything fancy, but fit the bill and a group of about 9 of us could hang out there comfortably. All in all, would recommend if you're looking for a safe bet in this area! read more

This hotel is sooooooo old, ugly and small. The suite is not actually a suite but a little bigger room. (Been stayed at room 422 and 522 most of the times) Thermostat is Honeywell from the 70's.....and air conditioning makes a lot of noise....I bet motel 6 doesn't even use them anymore. Tiny refrigerator was all beat up and missing a leg so I had to put something that it won't wobble. They know this is the main big hotel in a nice small town, so they could over charge us, in the mean time don't have to maintain it so well. Considering they charge twice more than the best western boulder(which is recently remodeled and neat). I am very disappointed in this Marriott. Only gives 2 stars cause the staff were still very nice and friendly and at least they changed the lobby to look much better. Oh, btw don't go their SPA either, the facial was so simple and nothing and the deep tissue massage was so crappy that I could tell the masseuse was not pay attention on her job at all. My stay at this Marriott was enjoyable. It was truly a 3.5, but the reason that it gets three stars instead of four is that it darn well should be enjoyable at that price. This isn't so much the Marriott's fault, but I found a curious dearth of hotels in Boulder. If you want something close to town, the pickings are slim and you are unlikely to find a worthy combination of proximity, comfort, and value that you might in a larger city. So, the staff were courteous and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was about a mile from downtown Boulder, not as closely situated for easy walking as we had hoped. But all in all, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it as one of the best options in town. +/- Garage parking available for $12 per day. Twelve dollars is not outrageous but it's not nothing either. However, though small, the garage was very convenient and we could always find a space within a few steps of the elevator. Pertinent details: + Mountain view + Big, comfortable king-sized bed + Free wireless internet access + Mini-fridge + Windows that open + Two good local beers on draft in the lobby bar, including Avery Belgian White for $5 + Fruit-infused ice water on a table in the lobby + Complimentary chocolate-chip cookies at the front desk in the afternoon + Two complimentary small bottles of water provided at check-in + Great shower--instant heat and perfect spray + Pull-out couch + Extra blanket in closet +/- Enough pillows for an infantry platoon. Who in their right mind puts the hotel gym right next to the lobby? It is always fun to be stretching with your feet over your head and your tush in the air when a new guest sticks their head against the glass and cups their eyes with their hands to get a better look... You can't hear what they say, but they point and they smile and you can't help but to wonder if they are making comments about your spandex. At the time I was just passing through Boulder and we were lucky to even find a room; as it was the time when all the students from CU were moving into their dorms, and every hotel was booked solid. The only room left that was available was a suite, which ended up being perfect for my mom who had been roughing it in a road trip with me from New York... Mom was very excited for the conveniences of a nice hotel room, so she oh so nicely forked over the heavy amount due for the night and we took the room. The suite was not that much bigger than a normal room, but it had a much larger bathroom and a bar. The best thing about the suite was having a porch and two large comfy beds. The hotel also offers a nice business center that I used to pretend that I actually had friends who emailed me... The business center is small and tight and is also right next to the lobby... Numerous other Marriott properties have provided exceptional service but this, starting with check-in, was quite disappointing. Room wasnt very clean and patio was dirty and non-utilizable due to dust, dirt, debris etc. Otherwise visit was pretty basic. With COVID everything is closed and that's fine, no penalty for that. I went in for the Christmas buffet. The food was fantastic (ham to die for) but the service was incredibly bad, if not outright insulting. One waitress, with the long braids, acknowledged me and hopped behind the bar to get me my first drink. Unfortunately, she left and I was PROMPTLY ignored by the other servers and the bartender - which is funny because I sat at the bar. I was not checked on, not offered another drink, my plates weren't bussed and I was never looked at or spoken to. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over twenty years and I can confidently say that none of the front of house floor staff (with the exception of the waitress with the braids) should be anywhere NEAR a customer service job. Poor, poor treatment, no sense of urgency, no one exuded an accommodating, friendly vibe or looked happy to be there. Was not a good vibe AT ALL. Note: I also attended the Thanksgiving buffet and that was great. The food was excellent, the staff was cool and I loved the bartender on that night. He was a young guy, I think his name is Shane, and we talked for a while. The difference between that and the Christmas buffet was like night and day. In most cases Boulder is a day trip for me although on my latest trip we were celebrating someone's birthday and we wanted to spend the night up in Boulder. It was nice to see that this Marriott is undergoing a face lift with quite a bit of construction being completed daily. I didn't hear any noise related to the construction during our stay, nice and quiet the whole evening. Everyone I encountered was pleasant and answered any questions I had. The room was perfect for what we needed, clean, king bed, free Wi-Fi, TV, etc. The view was a little lackluster since it was of the adjoining parking lot. I found the parking situation curious. It's centrally located in Boulder and is very convenient for quick stays or for a traveling family. The complimentary breakfast was also a nice touch, nothing spectacular but it was fresh and filling and gave me fuel for the day. First time in Colorado and we decide to start our trip form Boulder! Excited about the hiking and exploring, we decided to fly in at 6am! A little hike later, at 1pm, we decided to call the the hotel and make sure our room would be ready! They told us the room might be ready by 3pm but GUARANTEED by 4pm. We arrived there at 4.30pm and Paul at the reception informed us that they have no rooms available and needed more time. 10 minutes later we insist and ask to have the room, which according to them was an upgrade, with a nice view of the mountains ( see picture attached). Once we get to the room, we get surprised by an interesting view of a curious ladder and a bucket. I'm sure behind the hardware store in front of us, there was a gorgeous view of the mountain!! We walk downstairs asking if possible to get anything else which is not that view, Jami told us, in a very abrupt manner "there is nothing I can do, talk to Paul" and she walked away without apologizing! Finally Paul told us there was nothing he can do and that was best they had! Also, forgot to mention, that we were curious to know about the services offered by the Spa which had a big sign at the reception. Too bad that the staffs knew nothing about it, maybe we can get the information and share it with them. Even if rooms have a problem, the staff should be trained to do a much better job in meeting our needs and questions and not promise things that don't exist! read more

I hate to be THAT person but ugh. The M club is in the lobby and seems to be open to all. WTF, Marriott? I paid for an exec room and ended up with a view of HVAC. I asked about switching rooms and, to be fair, what they offered had a better view but was smaller. When I came back front desk said "well, it was a downgrade." This particular Marriott is why I joined Bonvoy- a decade ago. Now that I've reached platinum level I know why I we avoided it for 10 years. I should have heeded the other review warnings. read more

The translation for 3 stars is apparently "a-ok." However, if you drop the "a-", that summarizes my experience here. Location: nearly ideal. Situated in a quaint little mini-town called The Village and across the street from a mega outdoor mall, both with shops and restaurants galore, it is a boon for those not too familiar with Boulder. Outside most of the windows, including the pool area, one can observe the first of the imposing Rocky Mountains on the horizon. Service: that type of friendly that convinces one that there is going to be a discussion about the Bible at one point, whether you like it or not. Many times, I crossed the lobby to go to the pool or the elevator or to leave, and was interrupted mid-conversation by the folks behind the desk aggressively wishing me a good day and asking if I wanted some complimentary water. Issue 1: the front desk folks told me I had to use the $8-a-day underground garage for my car. However, the "services" menu in the room said there was free parking behind the hotel. I had to basically twist their arms to admit this at the front desk. Issue 2: the "services" menu also claimed that we had free internet. However, when one tried to connect, there was a "$12.95 a day" agreement you had to approve. When I asked the front desk about it, they said it was a "system error", whatever that meant. Issue 3: we were given free continental breakfast coupons, which is nice. Not being much of a breakfast person, I went to the bar area (right outside the restaurant) and asked if I could exchange my breakfast coupon for a simple coffee. The bartender's face twisted up like a lemon with Parkinson's disease as she said, 'ooooh, I'm not supposed to do that...' It's coffee, I said. And somehow that relieved her and she gave me a cup. Thus, overall, if you like mountain views and can tolerate scattershot service by overly happy people who want to gouge you for a few extra bucks, the Boulder Marriott is for you. read more
