This was our first time eating at Boulders and it didn't disappoint! We started with the Grouper bites (which I didn't get a picture of due us wolfing them down quickly). I highly recommend the Grouper bites for sure. I had the Smashburger and the onion rings. Both were great! My wife had the chicken tenders and fries. Both exceptional as well. Some other things to note. Our server was great. We got there shortly after 5 on a Saturday afternoon and got lucky to be seated immediately. The place was packed shortly after we arrived so get there early. Our appetizer came out quick, as did our entrees. All that said, I highly recommend this locally owned restaurant. We will be back. I want to start by saying that the food and service are both great. The issue here is take out. There is no way to order food. Not on their website or from third party services. So I called on the phone old school. A lady answered the phone and said she would be right with me and put me on hold. I waited two minutes by the timer on my phone and hung up. I called back and got a man willing to take my order. It was so loud in the background that he couldn't hardly hear me. I had to go through the order about three times before he got it. I hope that they work on that because it discourages us from making future orders. read more

First time dinner last Friday that was so good we went back Saturday. Grouper Bites exceptional! Beer, cold! Burgers, excellent! Wings, loved the dry rub options and a good size wing! Steak Philly, yum! Salads, fresh! Service was great even with a short wait at the door both nights. My daughter and I took our 2 crazy dogs for dinner tonight. We sat outside and had a couple of beers with other families who were dog-free. It was so pleasant and we were happy to have a dog bowl available for the girls to have water from. I had the pimiento cheese, bacon, and tomato on sourdough grilled cheese with tater tots and it was wonderful. I love that such a simple sammy was prepared so well. The girls loved the tater tots, too. My daughter had the smash burger and gave rave reviews. Prices were fair and everything was clean. I can't find anything to criticize. I'm also really happy that there's a good place for us to take our girls when we want to go out. Frozen puppy ice cream might be a good way to make a few extra bucks on those of us who bring out 4-legged friends, too! read more

So before I wrote a review I wanted to come here a few times just to see how consistent they were. I will say they are very consistent and honesty after 6 visits it has not disappointed. From the nachos, tenders, chicken philly, brisket philly, briskett mac they have been really good. The food is always hot and my fries are always crispy and hot. On my second visit to Boulders. I've had the Barnyard Chicken sandwich and the Grouper sandwich. Both were very good. I was impressed with the grouper personally. It was a late lunch with my MIL and husband. We had our dog Pip with us as we live 2-1/2 hours away from High Point and we didn't want to leave her home alone for that long. It was a 100 degree day as well; just sweltering. I had to sit out on the patio with Pip while my husband and his Mom ate inside (She is 95 and we didn't want her in the heat) The staff could not have been nicer, going so far as to bring out a personal fan for our use. Plenty of ice cold water and Coke Zero to try to keep us cool. Our waitress was wonderful and my salad was enormous and delicious; more than one meal worth. The atmosphere, service and food quality was great, but the food wasn't exactly what I thought I ordered. My husband had the meatloaf sandwich and tots and it was very good. I had the chicken Philly but wasn't able to eat much of it because it was spicier than expected. The menu description didn't say anything about spice. The only sauce or spice listed was garlic aioli. I can't eat spicy food so I pay close attention to menu descriptions. I ate what I could tolerate. The manager stopped by our table as he was making rounds through and we mentioned this. He said it's the marinade they use for chicken, and next time I could order the unmarinated chicken. This option wasn't on the menu. I would've appreciated an effort to make tonight's dinner better instead of telling me how to fix it next time. If the menu had more accurate information about ingredients I could've had a much better experience. read more
