Dr. Yuchen Feng was incredibly patient and compassionate with my dog, Storm. She has very high anxiety when visiting the vet, but Dr. Feng and her assistant were so gentle, calm, and understanding that they made her feel much more comfortable throughout the visit. Their kindness, patience, and genuine care meant so much to both Storm and me. I truly appreciate the time and attention they gave her, and I'm so grateful to have found a vet team that treats my dog with such compassion. Highly recommend!

Great I have taken 3 cats there and they were great unfortunately both cats had a bad prognosis but the offered comfort care for to do at home which gave me a small amount of time for Gino (CKD Kidney failure) very Compassionate the whole staff: Also my friends cat Love Bones already in Kidney failure very compassionate. I love when the first time I took Sparky there there was a chalkboard and a says welcome Sparky in the room and as I was checking out he received an Award Certificate for his visit. I thought that was sweet and thoughtful.

I loved the vet care itself but the front staff could use some training.. I received a coupon in the mail for "Your First Exam Free". The coupon did not say anything about me needing to purchase an item etc. I initially contacted the office to confirm & front staff confirmed it was free "unless I purchased something". Sounded great to me & I booked the appointment! Vet care was great but when I checked out they were going to charge me $80. I mentioned the coupon & they told me it was in fine print & no one from their office would have told me about it being free. I ended up paying for flea medicine to lower the price down. All in all the vet care was great but young staff needed training. Additionally, they claimed to not be able opt me out of direct mail marketing. I finally asked them to delete me from their system to stop postal mail.

17 yr old Lola at Pet Blvd, Saying our goodbye!

Boulevard Pet Hospital -- First and foremost, thank you for your honesty and compassion in caring for our 17-year-old. Our hearts are broken, but we are comforted knowing she is no longer in pain. Thank you for your patience, kindness, and gentle words throughout such a difficult process. I wish I could remember the veterinarian's name, but everything was a blur in that moment. I truly hope the staff knows who I'm referring to--she was incredibly sweet and compassionate. I will be recommending Boulevard Pet Hospital to everyone moving forward. Sweet Lola, you will forever live in our hearts!

Wonderful experience with vet and staff. My dog wasn't afraid at all. 1st visit is Free. Was recommended to us by messages on Next Door. Their regular prices are inexpensive, no long wait and best of all they didn't try to suggest work that was unneeded. Highly recommend them

What is the cost of a cat spay?

I believe a cat spay is between $50-$150 per cat. My little girl was already spaded when we got her from Petsmart at Bayfair Mall.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE IN AN EMERGENCY--THEY PRIORITIZE MONEY OVER ANIMAL LIVES…read more I had a horrifying and traumatic experience at Castro Valley Animal Hospital. Their slogan reads "where animals are people too," but that is a complete lie. If a human emergency room treated a person the way this clinic treated my 1.5-year-old dog, that person would be dead. I rushed my dog here because he began overheating during a walk in the Hayward hills that we believe to be related to an allergy exacerbation since he began wheezing and was unable to cool himself down. Instead of immediately stabilizing a wheezing animal with a dangerous temperature, the staff initially insisted on weighing him first. Because of the delay as they watched my dog lose oxygen and fumbled over what to do, my dog lost motor control and collapsed right of us. Only then did they rush him to the back, but the nightmare didn't stop there. Within minutes, a staff member handed me a $2,890 bill. I explicitly agreed to pay but explained I needed a few moments to get the funds together. Moments later, the receptionist called me to demand immediate payment, stating they would not work on my dog until I paid. She even threatened to call Animal Control if they started treatment before I handed over the money. While they withheld care over finances, my dog suffered a dangerous temperature and lack of oxygen so severe that he began to have seizures. The moment I got the money together, their entire tone suddenly shifted, and they acted like they cared. But the damage was done. I picked my dog up at 7 PM very sick, throwing up, incontinent, and severely disoriented. Because they were unable to give me a proper prognosis as to whether he was going to be okay or not, they simply told me to take him to a 24-hour hospital for continuous monitoring to be met with a whole new cascade of expenses. My actual vet later confirmed that Castro Valley Animal Hospital's delay in treatment directly caused my dog to suffer liver issues from extended hyperthermia, something that could have been prevented if life saving medication was given before haggling over finances. To make it worse, for a $3,000 bill, I did not even receive a proper diagnosis as to why he overheated since he is a young dog who is conditioned to go on the walk where he experienced this emergency, this is why we and our primary vet believe this to be poor ventilation caused by allergies that lead to inability to control his temperature. On top of the medical neglect, the receptionist was the rudest, most elitist person I have ever encountered. She actually insulted my financial situation and claimed she had more money than me, showing zero empathy or real-world manners while my dog's life hung in the balance. I felt deeply discriminated against, even though I never once refused to pay. If you live on a limited income, do not bring your fur babies here. It is not safe. They care about money, PERIOD. I will never bring any of my animals back here again.

My last experience with them…read moreleft me with an extremely bad taste in my mouth, so much so that I swore I'd never go back to them. However, my big boy Chomper is 12+, and last January I noticed he was really struggling to do normal things. I changed his routine and started hand-making his food, and he instantly got better. But having had another dog who was the same mixed breed and who showed the same signs towards the end of life, I knew Chomper's time was limited. Then last week he had a bad morning, and seeing he was in pain, I relented and called Groveway hoping that they'd just prescribe him some medication for pain management. I was able to bring him in that same day, and of course the first thing he does is urinate all over their waiting room floor like he had never whizzed in his life (and I JUST let him relieve himself outside beforehand). I apologized and offered to clean it up, but the receiption staff and another staff member quickly began to clean it up without hesitation and reassured me that it was ok. We entered into the examination room, and from the very beginning vet tech Stella was kind, polite and asked poignant quesitons. Soon after Dr. Powell came in, and she was equally kind, polite and wanting to help my boy. Dr. Powell was wonderful - she was compassionate and at the same time willing to have the difficult conversations. We decided on bloodwork that would take about 30 mins or so. Needing a urine sample, Stella escorted us outside to the back area with room to roam and a bench to sit at. After getting the sample, Stella made every effort to make sure my boy was comfortable - she invited us to stay in the backyard to enjoy the fresh air and sun, she brought out a blanket for Chompet to lie on, and she brought both of us water as well. Needless to say, after my last experience with Groveway, I was hesitant to contact them thinking that they might somehow try to hustle me again. I am so glad that I called them. The staff there were nothing but professional and courteous. Stella was accommodating and loved on my boy like he was her own dog. And Dr. Powell's compassion and willingness to help was nothing short of amazing. We didn't get the results we wanted, and that's just part of a dog getting old. But we have another checkup scheduled in a month, and I'm looking forward to the staff at Groveway spoling my Chomper again.

After looking extensively at reviews, I ended up getting an appointment here with Dr. Alyssa Ma! We were coming in with concerns for some bumps and a mass on my dog's eye. My sister and I are always pretty careful when it comes to coming to the vet because my dog is extremely reactive to other animals, which makes it hard for us to go to areas with other animals. The front desk staff and vet techs are incredibly kind and accommodating with our request to hide other animals when our dog comes in or go in through the side or back. Our first visit went really well and with my previous experience at our previous vet, I was expecting the bill to be extremely costly.... Dr. Ma did the consultation (i believe it was $80), tested 6 bumps and cut his nails and it was around ~$300 total. We actually came in wanting to test 5 but she saw another one while taking a look at the others and tested that as well. I was expecting to be charged for each bump they test, but surprisingly it was all just under one cost. She told us the results right away. For the mass on my dogs eye, she recommended a few options, and we went with the surgical route. She gave me an estimate of each item/test/medication/procedure to be done to my dog and I was able to pick what I wanted and the cost would update based on that. Everything from pricing, procedures, etc were transparent and reasonable. We were also able to schedule his surgery pretty soon after that initial consultation! When we picked my dog up from surgery, I was expecting him to be on the cone, but he came out without it and they told us he was really good so they didn't put the cone on for now. At home, he recovered well without using the cone! :D We had another visit recently because my dog got in a tussle with a skunk and got all scratched up on his face!!! We called a ton of emergency vets and they were either too far or couldn't take him. I called Eden at around 8:30 am on a Friday and even though they were booked for the day, they got me on a waitlist and called me at around 2:00 pm to let me know they had a cancellation and that they would be able to take us at 4:00 pm. Honestly, just amazing customer service from the team at Eden. They are incredibly efficient and understanding. The pricing is very reasonable and they are very transparent.
