I cannot recommend Chabot Veterinary Clinic enough! I was referred to them as they have rabbit savvy vets and I was not disappointed! You can obviously tell that Dr. Harvey and the staff overall love animals. They are all very patient, kind and helpful

I cannot praise this clinic enough. The knowledgeable and compassionate staff not only saved my girl's life when she had an infection that went over overlooked at another clinic, but continue to care for her as her primary care givers. From the front desk to the clinical staff, Chabot veterinary clinic goes above and beyond my expectations of how I want my animal cared for. Do your research on other clinics. You will always come back to Chabot veterinary clinic, I promise.

Quality vet that specializes in bunnies! Dr. Harvey is an expert in her field. They even gave a bunny groomer. All the staff are friendly and kind. There's a separate entrance for bunnies versus dogs and cats. Due to Covid, patrons wait in their cars to be serviced. We appreciate the great care that they provide to our loved furry ones.

I'm usually not one to update my reviews over and over again unless service and quality has changed quite a bit. In this case, I'm always impressed with Chabot Veterinary Clinic especially, with our most recent visit The doctors and staff really care about their patients and their humans. Knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and compassionate staff! I have to say wait time seems to have improved during the pandemic (over office visits) as they have a system down...easy peezy! My "kids" have seen all the staff (including the newer ones) for annual checkups, diagnosis, and treatment! OG vets: Dr. George Marmalejo, Dr Hughes (now retired) and Dr. Carolyn Harvey (rabbit specialist) Newer vets: Dr. Leslie Neeley, Dr. Hana Link for dental, and Dr. Michelle Kim who recently treated my lil Lulu - freak accident going through the doggy door and ripped out her nail (no earrings off!)...one would think self treating with peroxide and Neosporin would work but she was bleeding quite a bit, limping and whimpering for a couple of days and didn't want it to get infected Lulu loves them all including the front staff like Victoria and Steven...sorry if I missed anyone! All wonderful doctors who listen to your concerns and thoroughly answer the million questions you may have! Thank you!

I have been taking my fur babies to Dr George since back in the day. I trust him and his staff. You will not be disappointed with the care they provide. It's such a blessing to know that Chabot Vet is there for you. They listen and work with you so you understand exactly what's going on to get the best care for your babies. They truly love their patients and can tell how the handle and talk to your babies. Their staffing has changed and I was a bit worried but extremely pleased with Everyone there. Thank you Dr George and Chabot Ver for taking awesome Care of MowMow Rescue and Polo. Their lives were enhanced and you gave me many more quality years with them. They are now my Spirit Protectors. Luna Stella my grey tabby kitty girl is now in your care and I know she will be in loving hands when she is there.

I'll start by saying that this is really a 4.5 stars from me. To give some context, I have worked at a number of vets in my 20's. I own a Great Dane - as you can imagine, I have visited many vets and emergency clinics in the 8+ years of my dog's life. This was the first appointment that I've been blown away, truly. I was only looking for a new vet because his old vet moved out of state. I know that they do not easily take on new clients. I got in because my pup has seen them in his first year of life. But I ended up choosing another vet years ago - I truthfully regret that decision now. I did not choose them back then because they did not and still do not accept CareCredit. Huge deal breaker for me when I didn't make as much coin before. This is the only reason why they don't get 5 stars from me today. The second reason I believe that they agreed to see my dog was because of his very, very lengthy medical records. Loved the following: 1. They have separate entrances for dog appointments from cats and rabbits. My big guy has definitely stressed enough animals out in his time, just by his size, so this was great to see that he would only be around other dogs in the lobby. 2. Upon entering the exam room, it is spacious as hell and they put down a yoga mat and a blanket for my old giant guy with Wobblers and joint issues. 3. Every single employee that I met was an absolute delight and showed my boy so much love. Bonus points when I can tell he actually likes them. 4. Steven and Dr. Neely spent time asking for a thorough update on my dog and what our biggest concerns are currently. 5. This is the very first appointment in over 8 years with my dog that the vet actually did a proper full body exam. She literally looked at everything on my boy - nose to tail. She went in depth to check the eye wart that I have been debating getting removed - none of the other vets have numbed his to check under the lid, like she did. NONE - and we have seen at least 5 others. 6. Dr. Neely is very clearly knowledgeable. I felt that way when I had an appointment years ago with whoever I saw at that time. I have been told by Dr. Neely and the receptionists that all the vets huddle together and talk about their tough cases for more insight, eyes, and brains. It's amazing to feel like you have a whole entire team that has your pet's back. 7. Dr. Neely knows a lot of the specialists over at SAGE already, so she can communicate with my dog's cardiologist, neurologist, and internal medicine specialists without me having to be messenger. 8. As I was checking out, some techs came by to say bye to my dog. He wears his emotions in his body language very well and is easy to read. It is always super bonus points when my dog likes and trusts the staff still, after all the bad and scary stuff happens. 9. Dr. Neely called me the same day with results from blood test and made sure to explain as much as she could, while also painting a rational picture and making sure that I have context, but to not go crazy with panic. She was incredibly reassuring and truthful in terms of the fact that she needed to do more research and touch base with the other docs. So amazing. I couldn't stop singing her praises. The ONLY con, in my eyes, that doesn't let me justify hitting 5 stars is that they do not accept CareCredit. It definitely sucks, but with my dog's need for a competent vet, I am confident in my decision to stick with them. For those that don't know, CareCredit is a credit card specific to medical needs for yourself or your vet that can do interest free payments if the total is over $200. I love CareCredit, but I guess I'll be using them at SAGE with his specialists instead of here. I also have insurance, which I know they can work directly with for me, as well, which is helpful.

My two bunnies Sammy and Ella.

This is THE PLACE for THE BEST rabbit care. I have been a client of theirs for over 10 years and their knowledge and care of my rabbits has been phenomenal. Dr. Neely cares deeply for her patients and it shines through. I feel so fortunate that my bunnies are so well cared for.

They keep her happy and healthy, so we can confidently adventure!

Are great vets hard to find? Maybe not, but a great vet with a great team? I've never had a single bad experience with the Chabot vet team, nothing but smiles, and fantastic communication. Great communication leads to realistic expectations. I miss the additional interactions from before COVID-19, but love feeling protected and respected with their current car waiting policy. We couldn't be happier,

Dr kim and dr Harvey will take great care of your buns!

Dr. Harper is very professional, personable, honest, transparent, and communicative. Finding a trustworthy vet for a rabbit is not easy, and requires lots of research to find the right one. That being said, I really do trust Dr. Harper and his vet team. Today I brought my rabbit in for X-rays because I was concerned he may be arthritic. This examination isn't as straightforward as it would be for a dog or cat, and it involves sedation. Upon arrival, the nurse, Sav, walked me through all my questions upon drop off. I was transparent about my worries around sedation, and she was very honest based on her extensive anesthesiology expertise and experience-- not hiding the fact that there is indeed risk involved because he's a rabbit. Because we determined there's an alternative path from xray + sedation, we then decided to change my appointment type and just try out anti inflammatory medication (instead of jumping right into an xray). The conversation alone with Sav was incredibly helpful and insightful; she helped me make a more informed decision on what services I felt to be most appropriate for my bun and took her time going in-depth on explanations. I always come to my appointments with a bullet list of questions and each time, I really appreciate the doctor and nurses careful attention to answering them. They really take their time explaining everything, and I never feel pushed or coerced into anything I don't want for my rabbit. Again, the level of communication, patience, and transparency coupled with the teams expertise and experience really makes them stand out. However, my big boy Chomper is 12+, and last January I noticed he was really struggling to do normal things. I changed his routine and started hand-making his food, and he instantly got better. But having had another dog who was the same mixed breed and who showed the same signs towards the end of life, I knew Chomper's time was limited. Then last week he had a bad morning, and seeing he was in pain, I relented and called Groveway hoping that they'd just prescribe him some medication for pain management. I was able to bring him in that same day, and of course the first thing he does is urinate all over their waiting room floor like he had never whizzed in his life (and I JUST let him relieve himself outside beforehand). I apologized and offered to clean it up, but the receiption staff and another staff member quickly began to clean it up without hesitation and reassured me that it was ok. We entered into the examination room, and from the very beginning vet tech Stella was kind, polite and asked poignant quesitons. Soon after Dr. Powell came in, and she was equally kind, polite and wanting to help my boy. Dr. Powell was wonderful - she was compassionate and at the same time willing to have the difficult conversations. We decided on bloodwork that would take about 30 mins or so. Needing a urine sample, Stella escorted us outside to the back area with room to roam and a bench to sit at. After getting the sample, Stella made every effort to make sure my boy was comfortable - she invited us to stay in the backyard to enjoy the fresh air and sun, she brought out a blanket for Chompet to lie on, and she brought both of us water as well. Needless to say, after my last experience with Groveway, I was hesitant to contact them thinking that they might somehow try to hustle me again. I am so glad that I called them. The staff there were nothing but professional and courteous. Stella was accommodating and loved on my boy like he was her own dog. And Dr. Powell's compassion and willingness to help was nothing short of amazing. We didn't get the results we wanted, and that's just part of a dog getting old. But we have another checkup scheduled in a month, and I'm looking forward to the staff at Groveway spoling my Chomper again.

After looking extensively at reviews, I ended up getting an appointment here with Dr. Alyssa Ma! We were coming in with concerns for some bumps and a mass on my dog's eye. My sister and I are always pretty careful when it comes to coming to the vet because my dog is extremely reactive to other animals, which makes it hard for us to go to areas with other animals. The front desk staff and vet techs are incredibly kind and accommodating with our request to hide other animals when our dog comes in or go in through the side or back. Our first visit went really well and with my previous experience at our previous vet, I was expecting the bill to be extremely costly.... Dr. Ma did the consultation (i believe it was $80), tested 6 bumps and cut his nails and it was around ~$300 total. We actually came in wanting to test 5 but she saw another one while taking a look at the others and tested that as well. I was expecting to be charged for each bump they test, but surprisingly it was all just under one cost. She told us the results right away. For the mass on my dogs eye, she recommended a few options, and we went with the surgical route. She gave me an estimate of each item/test/medication/procedure to be done to my dog and I was able to pick what I wanted and the cost would update based on that. Everything from pricing, procedures, etc were transparent and reasonable. We were also able to schedule his surgery pretty soon after that initial consultation! When we picked my dog up from surgery, I was expecting him to be on the cone, but he came out without it and they told us he was really good so they didn't put the cone on for now. At home, he recovered well without using the cone! :D We had another visit recently because my dog got in a tussle with a skunk and got all scratched up on his face!!! We called a ton of emergency vets and they were either too far or couldn't take him. I called Eden at around 8:30 am on a Friday and even though they were booked for the day, they got me on a waitlist and called me at around 2:00 pm to let me know they had a cancellation and that they would be able to take us at 4:00 pm. Honestly, just amazing customer service from the team at Eden. They are incredibly efficient and understanding. The pricing is very reasonable and they are very transparent.
