I ate here for breakfast with my cousin who was getting married that evening, and I was the matron of honor. We chose to sit outside to just have a quiet morning before a full day of activity, and to enjoy the spectacular views. Our waiter was kind enough to turn on the heater since it was a relatively cool morning, and that made it perfect. Since we didn't want anything heavy in our stomachs, we chose what we thought would be smaller meals, though I would have loved to have tried some of the other offerings (I'm a sucker for crepes). I ordered the lemon beignets and my cousin ordered the wild berries & vanilla yogurt with granola. We both definitely got a lot and we could not finish our food. And both meals were absolutely delicious. The orange mascarpone cheese and strawberry glaze were perfect complements for the beignets. I tried some of the yogurt and all the flavors blended together so well. We both also ordered watermelon juice, and that was probably the only let down, but only because it was served room temperature, and it would have been much better if served chilled. The waiter also kindly prepared a presweetened latte to go for me. Food was delicious, service was wonderful...my only disappointment is that I live in another state and won't be able to return any time soon. read more

I love this place for breakfast BUT if you dine alone and want a coffee it will cost you $8. It's the only size they offer in a French press. I've said something before and they just tell me basically that's the way we do it. I've never paid $8 for coffee anywhere and I've dined at some pretty nice places. I don't know why this place doesn't have 5 stars. The ONLY downside is that it's very quiet (almost too quiet), even on a Saturday night. But if you're into that (or even if you're not), go there! I wasn't expecting much from the side of risotto but oh my goodness, the red wine risotto was incredible. By far the worst food I've ever had. Ordered Salmon with black rice. First it took forever and we were the first ones indoor for dinner and it still took forever. Before ordering we asked how many oz. they said 6 oz. I should have taken a picture, the fish was no more of 4oz. Had it tasted amazing I would have lived with it. So for a $30 plate I'm thinking the taste is awesome.......it was not! The fish was supposedly fresh it didn't taste fresh, but what am I going to do walk in the kitchen and check! Ugh ok so I'm thinking should I complain, should I not. My friend complained, but we all ordered the same thing. I just sucked it up and ate it. Was it worth $30 bucks NOPE!!! My sisters and I stayed at the Ponte for a special birthday weekend and being unfamiliar with the restuarants at the Ponte Vineyard Inn, I thought I made reservations for Restaurant at Ponte which several of my sisters friends recommended. Unfortunely it was not explained when I called the hotel that this was a completely different restaurant. Some of the food was OK but most of it was disappointing. The Caprese Salad (which I usually love) had tasteless mozzarella, not much basil and a sweet balsamic dressing. The mixed green salad had so little dressing we thought they forgot to put any on. We had to get up from the table to find someone to bring more dressing and since there was no salt or pepper on the table, we had to get up to find that too. The main courses weren't much better. The Shrimp Risotto was just okay with only 4 shrimp, the Crepes with Chicken tasted more like noodles. The Sea Bass was cooked properly and was a decent portion but had little flavor and for $32 I expected more and would never recommend it. The asparagus that came with it were good. We expressed this to our server and to the Chef but unfortunely there was no adjustment to our bill or other offer of any kind. But the worst part was the service. They did not clear off our salad plates when we finished so when the entrees came out the server said, "I'll swap plates with you". For those prices, we shouldn't have to pick up our own plates. The server told us about desserts (only 3 offered), we said we would think about it, but she never came back and when I say never, that's exactly what I mean. One of us finally got up to tell someone we wanted our check, still nothing. Finally we all got up, went to the hostess stand and asked our server for the check. I had to sign for the meal, give a very poor tip (which I almost never do) right in front of our server. Did I mention that the restaurant was not busy at all on a Friday night. If this restaurant wants to stay in business, I would recommend a new chef, maybe only serve breakfast and lunch (which we were afraid to try so I don't know if they are any good at all) and hire experienced servers or train the ones they have. I love Ponte Winery (we are loyal members) but I was really disappointed in my first dining experience at the Inn. Our party of 4 dined here for breakfast today and the quality of food/drink for the price was borderline comical. The food was average but one would expect more for $15 bacon and eggs (this included 2 slices of bacon, 2 eggs and a few large French fries...the chive biscuits never made it to the table). The linguica breakfast, yogurt, and salmon breakfast were decent but certainly nothing to go back for. Once we threw in a few mimosas (short pours) our party of 4 walked out $150 poorer and very disappointed. It was my daughter's birthday in February and wanted to due something wonderful. I invited my cousin and her daughter to join us for the celebration dinner at your Bouquet restaurant When I made the reservation I explained it was a special occasion my daughter's birthday Service was terrible, your staff was having a social conversation with themselves and paid no attention to our needs it felt like the really did not want us there and never acknowledge the birthday the check was wrong after I paid and gave a fifty dollars tip possibly that was not acceptable I ask why what about the birthday we received a stale hard biscotti with a tiny scoop of ice cream we could not break or eat the biscotti it was disgusting. I called and spoke to someone supposedly in charge and explained my disappointment and disgust and the person the gentleman said don't worry he will take care of it and get back to me as of today I have never heard anything from anyone at your restaurant or your winery so all I can say is that I am very very Disappointed so the management is the same as all the staff not concerned with the customer and do not care if the customer goes to another restaurant or winery The servers read more

Very romantic, relaxing, fine dining, outdoor restaurant attached to the Ponte Inn. You can also eat inside, but we prefer outside with the heaters on if it's chilly. Perfect, attentive service. Great wine, of course! After dinner, there's always the option of going downstairs into the cellar for live music and dancing. I was shockingly disappointed with this restaurant. I would rate NO STARS if I could. A bad way to end a nice getaway. My friends and I were staying the night at Ponte Winery Inn for my recent engagement celebration (btw, the hotel is outstanding, great service and great place to stay). We've been to Temecula before and had our hearts set on going to South Coast Winery for breakfast. After looking through the menu at Bouquet, we decided to give it a try since the menu sounded really good. Boy was that the biggest mistake we ever made. We were seated right away but had to wait nearly 15 minutes until someone took our drink orders. There was only one waiter at the time but keep in mind that there were only 4 occupied tables on a very uneventful Friday morning. We ordered coffee and when it arrived to us, there was no cream or sugar, or even a spoon to stir! We kindly asked for cream and sugar to 3 different people and we didn't receive it until about 15 minutes later, leaving us with cold coffee. The restaurant had blackberry banana pancakes on the menu that the girls and I decided to share this dish. The pancakes at South Coast are AMAZING so we had high expectations. When we received our order, we were confused about where the blackberries were. The waiter came over and informed us that the chef ran out of blackberries and they had substituted for blueberries instead (there were 3 lonesome blueberries on the plate). One of the girls did not like blueberries and again we were disappointed at the lack of professionalism. If they were out of the main fruit, shouldn't you tell us before ASSUMING that I wanted blueberries. What if I was allergic? Anyways, another problem we had on 2 of the plates was the potatoes. They were not cooked at all. Almost inedible. Our coffee and water was rarely refilled and when the coffee was refilled, the waiter poured us hot water. REALLY?!?! We requested to speak with the manager or person in charge and this guy was of no help. He just kept on making excuses that they were short staffed and that this guy has been spoken to about his service. He did not make any attempts to rectify the situation. If you are staying at Ponte Winery Inn, DO NOT EAT HERE. Save yourself the hassle and money and go to somewhere else. Our breakfast too much longer than it should have and it was a terrible way to end my celebration. read more

Went to the bouquet restaurant and pool and we had Nicole both times! She definitely made our visit. The grounds are beautiful, and the hotel and pool are fantastic. The food was excellent, and the drinks were tasty. We've stayed at other hotels in wine country, but this is definitely our favorite. My husband and I had just finished our wonderful romantic balloon ride with sunrise balloons and we were starving. As suggested with our host Sandie and our tour guide, Chris, we decided to check out Bouquet restaurant inside Ponte vineyard inn. We were immediately greeted by Maureen the supervisor. She showed us to our table and was very friendly. She asked how our balloon ride was and she seemed very interested. Now on to food. We were treated with a fresh mini muffin. Today they had a carrot coconut almond and raisin muffin. Sooooooo good!! For our entree the hubby ordered French toast which came with sliced almonds and fresh strawberries. You can't go wrong if you are craving something sweet. I ordered the crab omelette with a basil shallot vinegarrette. It's tossed with the crab so for more flavor, get the sauce on the side and drizzle it on your omelette. I got potatoes on the side. It was lightly seasoned and fresh. James was our server and an absolute joy! He always had a smile on his face. What I forgot to mention is that everyone asked how our food was which I love how attentive they were. I have never been felt so discriminated in my life!!!! Stopped by for breakfast after an awesome hot air balloon ride and had James as our server! A friend of mine asked for orange juice and was told that they were out. A minute late a group of Caucasian people were sat next to us and asked for orange juice. It was brought out right away! I couldn't believe this.. did he say that because we're a group of Mexican women!!!! Even the receptionist was looking at us head to toe and making me feel uncomfortable! I swear, when we called ahead to check on the various dining options at The Ponte the girl on the phone said, hesitatingly, as if to warn us, that Bouquet was "kinda' fancy" !? Really? A bunch of tables under a canopy with a so-so view. I guess it depends on where your coming from but honey, this is not fancy! I did expect quite a bit more from this place and I can not imagine that it would have taken much to get there but our experience was squarely so-so. Tough little veal chop that was all bone (there wasn't enough meat to even gauge medium rare vs whatever the heck was presented to us) on a massive pile of average risotto. The Caesar salad was shockingly plain. And, sorry, but the wine is not great. The Pinot Grigio was cloyingly sweetish. Other dishes (seafood pasta, "gespacho") all pretty OK. So we're from LA and travel around a bunch so we are used to "fancy" restaurants, and even GREAT food at simple unpretentious places. But this!? It's neither here nor there. The hotel is comfey and the pool is lovely. But seriously, eat somewhere else. Maybe "the restaurant at the Ponte" has it more together. read more

The kitchen here doesn't seem prepared to handle large crowds/volume. We had breakfast on New Year's Day at 10 a.m. after staying New Year's Eve. The place was packed and even with reservations part of our group (we had to break the tables up) waited a considerable time. I had the Denver omelet, which came not cooked as I asked (don't like runny eggs), with a small amount of potatoes that were very undercooked and pretty tasteless. Another person in our party had the same issue with the potatoes. Thankfully, we stayed New Year's night as well and the kitchen totally redeemed itself the next morning. My breakfast (even though I had the same thing as the day before) looked like a completely different meal. This time restaurant was not crowded, omelet was great and the potatoes were cooked to perfection, with a lot more of them on the plate....felt a little cheated when comparing to the day before but I guess some of this is to be expected on holidays. I think I would avoid this restaurant when it is at capacity. read more

My husband and I were looking for a restaurant to celebrate our 6th year anniversary. We decided to give Ponte wineries new restaurant a try. We made reservations and only afterwards saw both the above scathing reviews. We decided to see for ourselves as we live two miles away and have friends visit us often for wine tasting.this restaurant is at their new Inn and is not to be mistaken for the Ponte winery restaurant. Our experience could not have been more different. We had great service and delicious food from beginning to end. It was a slow night as they are not known to a lot of people yet. The chef came out and spoke with us as he we are told he does most nights. Tyler the manager on duty was very attentive from our arrival to our departure. The outdoor atmosphere was intimate for small or larger parties. From our table we could see the stars in the night sky and several glowing water fountains . We had the caprese salad for an appetizer and it was delicious. The mozzarella was not like to are used to eating here and the chef told us it was from Italy. It was more of a creamy cheese than a rubbery texture. I had the sea bass that was very flavorful and cooked just right. My husband had the vegetarian pasta and was quite pleased. What a restaurant. GF and I stumbled in here after getting a solid buzz on at the various wineries (Wilson Creek, Donza del Sol..etc) hence why we were down to "splurge" on a nice restaurant. Immediately felt out of place as we were not only the youngest people there, but my painfully embarrassed gf spilled her Old Fashioned all over the center of our table. Subsequent this, our waitress put down a basket for my gf to put her purse in (so the purse doesn't get dirty, very high class) but I am convinced they just didn't want their floor dirty since we had just come from the wineries and horseback riding, and of course the spill had already occurred haha. Anyway, food was great and the service was good too. Be sure to go here before you hit the casino or else you might not want to spend the money. Ignoring the reviews of death for this restaurant I decided to try it out - and a resurrection must have occurred. Temecula really has very few fine dining establishments - the Great Oak at Pechanga being the best - however, Bouquet at Ponte was certainly on par with any fine restaurant. The service was excellent - and Vanessa our server was extremely courteous, attentive, and as good as service gets. We ordered the ahi carpaccio, the organic greens salad, the steak dish and vegetable pappardelle - and ALL WERE EXCELLENT and served timely, fresh, and presented perfectly. The wine at PONTE is very good and broad in selection. For dessert, we enjoyed very much the light and mildly sweet tiramasui. The wine expert was superb and gave us a generous tasting to determine what we might like to drink. The chef also came to our table to solicit our regards. I will gladly and often return to bouquet - and was very much interested in their breakfast menu - seeing as the environment is spectacular - as Bouquet rests in the courtyard of the beautiful hotel itself surrounded by the vineyards of Ponte.
