The food and service was off the charts. We were greeted as we walked in and were promptly seated. Very personable service staff. Drinks came out promptly and the appetizers followed. The quality of our food was some of the best that we have every had. The plate presentation is what you would expect at a Michelin Star Restaurant! We had 2 great appetizers. The Beef Tartare and the Braised Pork Belly. Both I would highly recommend. For entrees I had the Pork Chop. Best that I ever had. It was so tender with great flavor. Just melted in your month. The 3 others in our party tasted it and the feeling was mutual. "Was like a eating a piece of tenderloin". Our party also had the Braised Lamb Shank and the Dry Aged Ribeye. Food not worth the price. No paper menus available. Went for lunch and had 2 burgers with 1 iced tea, which came to $48. Waitress asked what condiments we wanted with our burgers and my daughter asked for BBQ sauce. It was delivered with our burgers in tablespoon dish on each plate. Even when my daughter asked for some more sauce, we were not told there was a cost for any of this, which was $1 per serving. We were not given a paper bill but had to ask for a print out. Mushroom risotto- really don't know what that was- couldn't really mess up any worse; sautéed mushroom - literally just out of can and microwaved. Wife and I had dinner there on a Friday night. Below were the highlights. 1. Service is slow. I think this is due to being short staffed and not a negligent server but still a negative and frustrating. What makes it worse is seeing quite a few empty tables. 2. Seating is horrible. A meal there is at least 90 minutes. Too long to sit on a wooden board. Might be ok for a BBQ joint but I spent $200 and expect much more comfortable seating for that much money. 3. I had the ribeye and have had better steaks in chain restaurants. Slightly overcooked but the edges were overseared making the outside edge hard and slightly burnt. Not worth $55 or even half that. 4. Sides (risotto and asparagus) were good as was my wife's crabcake but overpriced at $34 for a "small plate". 5. Initially had requested outdoor seating and were seated there to start but went inside after a few minutes because the weather was not as expected but the outdoor area had no decor and is just tables and chairs put together side by side and looked like a food court at the mall. Definitely not what I want to be sitting in when i am considering a $150 tomahawk steak. 6. Both our cocktails were whisky based and were good. Overall, this is just not an experience I would even consider paying $200 for again. read more

If you want HORRIBLE SERVICE, tiny portions and high prices this is the spot for you. Had a reservation for a party of 8 for 6:15p on a Saturday. We arrived and were seated on time but that's where the good part ends. We waited more than 30 minutes to have our drink order taken. We were not assigned a waiter/waitress. Rather the manager(owner?) came by to take our drink orders. Once we received our drinks he seemed eager to return to make sure the drink reorders were taken but it was more than an hour before we even placed our food order. The food order was taken by the same individual. Our check said his name was Kiran and it may have been but the only other Kiran I knew was a female for what that's worth. Most of the people in our party were famished but no bread was offered to our table. In fact, I didn't see a single table with bread on it even though the "manager" said that is their custom. The service was EXTREMELY slow and when it looked like none of the other tables seated around us had food we actually considered paying the bar tab and leaving. I actually wish we had. Alas, we eventually ordered with Kiran and thirty minutes later received our food. I ordered the seared scallops $35. The dish consisted of three medium scallops maybe three sliced fingerling potatoes and 3 to 4 miniscule asparagus. $35. The taste was good but I definitely left hungry. The friend sitting next to me had the filet. Ordered it Medium Rare but sadly it was prepared Medium which sucks. Once everyone had finished eating and the drinks were empty we waited another 25-30 minutes for Kiran to return with the bill. I'm certain more than one person in our party would have loved to order dessert but nobody was willing to wait another 30 to 60 minutes for that shit show. We received no conventional bill but rather Kiran interviewed each couple in our party to identify their portion of the bill and then asked for a card to satisfy it. When I asked to see my portion he handed me the device he was using and when I scrolled through the bill I noticed they added a 5% Kitchen Gratuity... which of course nobody else knew anything about. It was almost 9:30 when we left. Total time 3Hours 15 Minutes without dessert. Total time waiting 2 Hours? Do not waste your time or money. read more

Ordered catering from this restaurant. While the owner is friendly and nice, and the food was good - they can not handle catering. Beware: the owner is overly confident and makes promises he just can not keep. He was unable to deliver our entire order at the specified time. We had to assist with the pick up and it took multiple trips and 2.5 hours for us to receive our entire order. I was stuck having to be embarrassed and bear the brunt of telling hundreds of people that we were out of food but more would be coming. We paid a hefty sum and tip for these meals. We Ordered a lemon drop martini and we got a glass of lemon juice and vermouth with 2 olives totally disgusting, a cava rosé sparkling and got a glass of flat rosé, the smoked Manhattan was not aimed table side. We had other staff come to the table twice to deliver food and drinks which weren't ours. Ordering food was a nightmare- I ordered the pork chop entrée which comes with brussels sprouts another person at the table ordered a side of brussels sprouts and waiter said they didn't have any so I asked what is the vegetable substitute I can order from my side and he had no idea how to figure that out. When I went to the bar to try to get a drink order rectified- come to realize it was the manager of the restaurant making drinks and he had no idea what he was doing. The inside restaurant side terribly decorated and design like a Cracker Barrel very uninteresting and packed tables- so we sat in the bar it was very cool and fun vibe. Astoundingly bad service. I can't rate the food or drinks, because I never got any. I had a brunch reservation at 11am. I arrived at 10:59. They were still not open. There were probably 15 people waiting outside, in the direct (hot) sun. No communication, no updates. Normally I would have left right then, but I had come for the jazz brunch and it's a band i really like. So I waited, and they opened the doors 25 minutes late. Then it took several more minutes for them to figure out how to seat people. I just sat at the bar, because it was just me, and I wanted to be nearer the band. In prior life experience, you usually get faster service at the bar. Not here. It took a while just to get water. I had been saving appetite for brunch. I mean, I know restaurants are struggling and it i like to support places that have live music. So I had planned to spend some money, and had intended to get an omelette, coffee, and mimosa. But the surly bartender never even attempted to take my order (or those of the other people at the bar). I ended up leaving at 11:50. Nearly one hour. This is probably the amount of time one might expect to spend at a brunch, but I invested all that time and never even go to order, let alone ty the food. When I told the manager why I was leaving, he did offer to take my order right then, but at this point, I had no faith that the food would actually arrive any time that day. I met a friend over at Bourbon Boulevard about a week ago and I was skeptical because the reviews were low and there were several comments about poor service. I have to say, this was probably one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Steak was cooked perfectly. My buddies duck was cooked perfectly. Clam Chowder and French onion soup was excellent. Also tried the bone marrow and scallops which were perfect! Our waiter made up *smoked old fashions which were delicious! I was really blown away. We sat in the bar area seats and the décor is relaxing and inviting, almost too nice. I really want to dine here again soon, really enjoyed the experience! We went to Bourbon Boulevard after reading positive reviews. I took my husband there to celebrate his birthday. It didn't work out, unfortunately. The specifics: The decor is going for a "rough hewn" look. Not a bad look, but the finish on the seating is rough indeed, enough to snag on what you're wearing. The wood seats got a bit uncomfortable after an hour. The server was young (under legal drinking age) and very inexperienced. I know - the only way to get experience is to work it out. He had a great attitude, but management didn't educate him enough about cocktails (what they are, at least the classic ones) and how to serve them (on a tray). How many places don't let you bring your own wine? Of course there's a corkage fee, but we were told they couldn't open our bottle. What?!?! Eventually they did, but this needs to get straightened out. The lobster bisque was unlike any bisque I've had before, and I've had my share. Bisque is defined as a rich, creamy soup, usually with seafood. There was nothing rich or creamy about it. I paid $14 extra for a "petite lobster tail." The lobster had been grilled to the point of shoe leather. The whole bowl was inedible. We ordered the porterhouse medium rare with the port wine mushroom sauce. The steak was overcooked. The sauce was NOT mushroom. The Brussel sprouts were burnt. The whole experience was a failure. Management did remove the unsatisfactory items from the check. Absolutely nothing good to say about this restaurant. We were very disappointed. They are marketing themselves as a high-end steak house, and we were expecting an exceptional experience given the high prices. The actual experience (service as well as food) fell woefully short of expectations. We were seated promptly, but no one came to take our drink order for 10 - 15 minutes. Another 10 minutes went by before our waitress came back (without drinks) to see if we wanted to place our dinner order. We said we were waiting on our cocktails and wanted to enjoy them before ordering food. She seemed put off and reluctantly went back to the bar to get them. She asked if we wanted bread, which one person did. It never showed up. Two salads belonging to another table were delivered to ours, and the runner argued with us that this was the table he was told to deliver them to. After leaving one on our table, he came back and served the same salad to the other table. Seems like this would be a violation of some kind for a restaurant. Later, we noticed that a runner tried to deliver our order to another table before eventually bringing our food to us. Our waitress apparently forgot to place our dinner order, and when it finally came, she blamed the mix-up on the computer system, with no apologies to us. My husband's filet was overcooked, and the collard greens he ordered never showed. When my husband pointed this out to the waitress, she did apologize and said she'd bring some right out. She mistakenly put in an order for brussels sprouts, which came well after we had all finished our meals. The runner that delivered the brussels sprouts didn't speak English and therefore didn't understand my husband when he told her he ordered something different. If you want to try this restaurant out, we suggest you do it soon. Our bet is that it's doors will be closed before the end of the year. We will not recommend nor return. read more

I was very excited to try this restaurant but was extremely disappointed. Service was very slow. She did not look at me when ordering and expected my husband to order for me. We went to order the scallops and were told "we aren't doing that right now" as we were ordering other appetizers and drinks. She never asked our entree order. When ordering the crab, she did not place our order so when we asked about it, we waited over a half an hour for it to come out and it was over cooked. My husband also sent back his Whiskey Sour and Charcuterie board due to not liking them. We received one basket of bread for four people and it tasted almost stale. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and we expected to have a good time as there were few other tables within the restaurant. After the bread, we waited about 15 minutes for our drinks and received our appetizers before our drinks. Our appetizers were mediocre, the oysters and the shrimp cocktail with small portions. We waited another 20 minutes for our entrees, a French onion soup and the charcuterie board, again with smaller portions. I waited an extra 15 minutes after everyone had finished their food for the crab and ate it all regardless of it being over cooked because I was starving at that point. I went to speak to management to let them know of our disappointment, I was greeted with a promise of a free drink. I asked for a coke to go and then was told that I should be getting alcohol. I didn't want anything free, I just wanted them to know that we would not be returning. When I returned to the table, they refused to take off the Charcuterie board, regardless of the fact that my husband took two bites out of it and thought that it tasted funny so he sent it back. I received more help from the hostesses who waited with me for the manager for 10 minutes than from the servers, baror managers themselves. read more

We went to the Chantilly VA location on Sunday night. They had a jazz band that was very good but it was way too loud. The menu is expensive and everything is at an extra charge. The waiter said he was new and apparently not well trained. It took a long time to get our food and my aged ribeye was cooked medium rare but it was still tough, at $54, I expected it to be more tender and flavorful. When the waiter brought our food but never came back to check on us. I wanted a glass of wine with dinner and we need some other things but the waiter was nowhere to be found. The seats are all wood so I thought it was uncomfortable to sit there. The music was so loud that the tables around had to talk loud so it was hard to talk. We were there to celebrate a birthday and it was a big letdown and very expensive. There was a kitchen gratuity on the bill which I have never seen before. read more

Quick narrative is that 3 of the 4 the steaks were undercooked, the laughable "butter sauce" 6$ was no more that a scoop of the bread butter, and one of the steaks came with an 8$ quarter sized scallop as the topper. We asked for salt and pepper as there was absolutely zero flavor. Shocker the wait staff brought an empty salt shaker "oops". No doubt because many other patrons found the need for it also. We went for the Mothers Day Drag lunch. It sounded fun and while the show was great the restaurant was a huge disappointment. Reservation only and sold out so they knew how many would be attending. Zero social distancing and almost none in masks. It was outside and cold but very crowded. Seating was at 11 for a 12 pm show. We arrived at 10:45, got a table at 11. By 12, no waiter came to our table to even bring water. Other tables had drinks, a few had food. It took 90 minutes to get our drinks and my son never got the beer he ordered and that was after going inside to ask, as servers ignored us and many others outside. My son went inside to ask about our food after almost 2 hours. The food came out and was delivered to the neighboring table. After few minutes, another server took it off their table and put it on our table (very unsafe in Covid). Three times we watched the wrong food delivered to that table during the show. The staff brought out meals- then wandered around trying to figure out which table ordered the food. When the show was over, we rushed out to pay inside as we'd never been given a waiter/waitress so knew we'd never get a bill. After arriving shortly before 11 - by 12:50 very very few guest had food. A few "special tables" had really good service we noticed. They seemed to be friends of the owner. The rest of us had very poor service. The food tasted ok, although the son who didn't get a beer, also didn't get his side dish. Small portions and high prices. I had shrimp and grits $15. Three shrimp on a plate with a scoop of gritty grits. Nothing special. My husband had the same and left hungry. My son had the steak and eggs and had exactly that - for $19- no toast or the promised home fries. The show was great!. The manager knew what was going on and was taking orders himself, causing more confusion. Poor service, unsafe conditions, edible food, no bussing of table as very little food actually served. Terrible service. We had dinner reservations at 6:30pm on 30 Dec 2021. Arrived early at sat in the bar area-which was not full/busy. We were ignored for at least 20 minutes before someone came over and asked "if have been served." Finally moved over to the dinner table, the food was not great. Ordered a dessert, what was brought was something completely different. The server was confused about what he was delivering, then said the sorbet wasn't available so they just brought icecream without asking if that was ok. Then got charged double the total bill-that was alarming. We will never go again. read more
