We were seated promptly, and placed our orders in right away: +Truffled Hamachi Crudo - with scallions, cucumbers, and truffle ponzu; this was a fresh app to start off with +Michael's Tuna Tartare - with Asian pear, pine nuts peppers, and sesame; the tuan could have been a little bit more fresh +Maryland Crab Beignets - with garlic cream, saffron, and crispy basil; these were just okay +Onion Soup Gratin - this was just okay; not sure if it was reduced properly? For our steaks, we had: +the Bone-In Cowboy Ribeye - this was 20 oz with a horseradish crust as an accompaniment +the New York Strip - this was 16 oz; I had mine with grilled shrimp as an accompaniment with a sauce trio of the Bourbon Steak sauce, creamy horseradish, and bearnaise We also had the 'Wedge' salad which came with blue cheese, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, onions and dressed in a buttermilk dressing, and sides of the Black Truffle Mac & Cheese with lobster, Rockefeller Stuffed Mushrooms, Creamed Spinach, Crispy Shallots, and the Duchesse Stuffed Baked Potato. Had a work lunch at Bourbon Steak today and as always it was excellent. The Burger is one of the best, if not the best in DC and the fries are incredible. The tuna and salads for appetizers are also superb. The service is attentive, but not intrusive and the physical space enhances the experience. Bourbon steak is a nice steakhouse dining experience. We ordered the NY strip, ahi tuna, and the truffle mac and cheese. As you can expect, it was all very heavy and cooked with lots of butter. The steak was cooked to a nice medium with a warm red center. The tuna was served with foie gras. They also gave us complimentary truffle fries. Why this place doesn't have a Michelin Star, I don't know. We've dined at six Michelin Star restaurants in the DMV, and this meets or exceeds the experience we had there. Ambiance - Beautiful! Located inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown, you pass through the lobby, ornate art pieces, and a fresh flower display before entering the restaurant. The restaurant itself was also gorgeous. Customer Service - Second to none. The chef even came out and took pictures with us. Food - I ate bone marrow, y'all! I tried it at another restaurant before and didn't care for it. Here it was fantastic. This is probably the only restaurant where I would order it because I know they're going to prepare it well. There's so much to say about each individual dish. I'll just say that all the food was fantastic. Overall, I would go back....again and again. Went here for my wife's birthday. Just the two of us for a romantic dinner. We sat outside on the patio and it was the perfect weather. My wife had the 12 oz New York strip and I had the 18 oz bone in strip. Both were just perfect. We also had summer squash as the side which was actually very light and refreshing. For desert we had the gluten-free cheesecake and that was also amazing. The waiter was super friendly and helpful with all our questions. Four Seasons is know for being one of the top hotels, but even so, I was concerned about eating at hotel restaurant. Well concern no more. This was simply amazing. Only warning is that this is not cheap. You will pay - a lot. But it really is worth it. One of the reasons we chose this was that they had grass fed beef from local farmers. (NOTE: My review is for the restaurant, not the lounge. I think the food in the lounge is a little less pricey.) I saw a couple reviews that mention the fries and I will 100% get on board with the fries being delicious. They are fantastic and we had a second order because they were just that good... but honestly, the love stops there. The food isn't bad per se, but it isn't great and it is WILDLY OVERPRICED! The cocktails were good, but about $5-$8 over what you would pay almost anywhere else in Georgetown for the same caliber. My husband likes scotch, specifically a 16 year vintage that is typically around $20-$25 at most places and it was, I believe $45 or $50 here. To me, that is just price hiking to price hike. Same goes for the Japanese Wagyu. They do source it from specific regions, so I will give them that, but I have had verified Wagyu at several different locations (showed us the snout print from the cow and everything) and it only ranged from 35 - 50 an ounce as opposed to, I think the lowest was 4oz for $345.00 -- that is significantly more and not worth it. Looking for Japanese A5 Wagyu? Try SHOTO- that place is expensive too but not like Bourbon Steak who seem to jack up prices for pretention only and they have little wagyu tacos that are to die for! I will caveat the above review with the fact that we did not purchase the Wagyu, it was too exorbitant for our tastes and we went with a New York Strip and pasta. I did not like my pasta at all, but the New York Strip was perfectly cooked, just again, over-priced (Capital Grille has an equally good steak for like 1/2 the price). We also tried their ahi tuna, which is apparently a featured dish and was recommended to us... again... I have had better. They make this table side so it could have been the individual was heavy handed on the sauce but all we could taste was sesame oil. The nuances of the tuna with the pear and scotch bonnet were completely drowned out in a sea of sesame oil that left this hard to eat. (Ruth Chris has a wonderful ahi tuna, by the way and it is like 1/3 of the price during happy hour! So does Cafe Riggs.) I still give this 3 stars because our waiter was awesome, the ambience is nice, and I love dinner with friends... but will I be back? Sadly, no. Fantastic experience! Steak Looks great I really enjoyed the trio or fries and the bread! In fact I think my son enjoyed the fries and bread more than anyone else, the best part was how accommodating the server and chef were to my son's allergy restrictions and dietary needs. My son had a liver transplant due to a dairy allergy when we alerted the chef and manager they quickly sprung into action ensuring that he had food that not only tasted amazing but also fit within his restrictions. I enjoyed the sides the food temperature was great if I had one critique it would be on dessert while I enjoyed spending my birthday there and that little piece of cake was amazing I was not as impressed with the chocolate molten lava cake it was a bit deceiving although the cookie with gold leaf was a nice touch the s'mores on the other hand tasted really good and had an amazing presentation however it is a bit difficult to eat because it is somewhat deconstructed all in all I will certainly come back. I think the most unique part and every restaurant should follow is how they take your leftovers package them up and give you a claim ticket is the whole them at the front door instead of making you hold your remaining food at your table just taking up space during your dining experience great job will be back. read more

Came here for their three-course fixed price Easter brunch. Was so very glad we did- it was an enjoyable experience all around. Great food. Great Service. All was as expected for a Four Seasons experience. I arrived early and had the "No FaceTime in Public" cocktail at the bar. Delicious! The bartender knew the special cocktails and was able to explain the nuances of each. I had checked in first at the hostess stand and promised a window seat. We were at first seated elsewhere but I remarked about the window and it was quickly rectified. They started with their amazing bread... I got the tuna tartare as my first course. Loved the pine nuts in it. Then I got the burger with extra lettuce which was super filling. Not sure what I was thinking! But it was good. The first one came out not done enough but they quickly fixed it. We also got a side order of fries which were delicious and worth every calorie! I ended with the sundae which was a crazy conglomeration of many things: lava cake, chocolate mousse, Black Forest cake, cherries jubilee. But somehow it worked. I would have preferred more ice cream but that's with every dessert in the world that has ice cream :) Absolutely recommend this as an Easter brunch. I think the restaurant does a good job of overpricing and making a fancy facade that the restaurant is an amazing place or something. Food didn't live up to the hype. For starters, it was very dark and there was little to no lighting for the tables. I couldn't really see my friends' faces. Looked around and saw maybe like one candle but only at the really large tables. My guess for this is so the patrons cant see how tiny their food actually is. Haha. Very busy even on a Wednesday night. Our waiter took many tables and we barely saw him throughout the night. However service is good. People are kind:) There's a valet in front and you can walk straight into the hotel. Valet is about $15 I think?? We made a reservation online the day of through the Open Table. It was my birthday. I wish I could give this restaurant 5 stars. For the price, the experience should be 5 stars. Unfortunately, on the night my friend and I visited, we had a 3-4 star experience. Service was slow and uneven. We waited an hour for a waiter to come take our order for appetizers. We received two different dinner menus with just slight variations between them. Only one of those menus was actually available that night. Our water glasses ran empty more than once. Overall, the restaurant felt understaffed on Easter weekend. My conclusion was that Bourbon Steak should have capped or cancelled reservations to give customers a better experience. Or perhaps they could have turned away walk-in customers? Something was off that night. On the plus side, the food was wonderful. Not life-changing amazing but delicious and cooked just as we ordered it. We tried a bunch of appetizers and two huge entrees. Mine was the braised short rib (which I consumed there and over two more meals at home) and my friend got the Virginia lamb, which he thought was excellent. We also had the broccoli rabe (good and garlicky), the smoked beet salad, the octopus, and a shrimp cocktail. I didn't like the last one because although the shrimp were huge, I thought they were too tough, almost rubbery. I was pleasantly surprised by the non-alcoholic drinks, especially the Tiki Tiki, which included warm cinnamon and grapefruit flavors. I didn't feel deprived of alcohol sipping on that. My friend enjoyed two West Indian limeades and said they were gingery and good. My friend who is usually the most congenial guy astonished me by complaining about poor service while I was in the restroom. The management then covered our shared dessert and coffee. Both were good, and I recommend the strawberry Basque cheesecake if you are ever at Bourbon Steak. However, I doubt I will return to the restaurant myself. When the price tag is so high, I want near perfection in the service. At a high-end place, I also want some jaw-dropping culinary moments. I experienced those at a recent trip to Dill in Reykjavik and a trip to Pineapple and Pearls in D.C. a few years ago. Second time back since Covid and they're hitting on all cylinders... I had a great time. Thanks for giving me my favorite table again. The service was as outstanding as in the before Covid times and the place was buzzing and busy again (last time I visited was in March 2022 and things were still opening up). They remembered me and GM came by to say hello. The 7X American Wagyu Ribeye steak was probably the best one I've had in three years. The foie gras app should really be shared but if you skip the bread you can eat it yourself (I succeeded - barely). The bone marrow is also a winner; so many textures. I loved the roasted brussel sprout side - so many nice additions to it to keep it from being plain - it was not. They know what they are doing when it comes to taking care of customers. There menu is robust with many options from alcoholic, non-alcoholic, small plates, entrées, and more. My date and I had: Trio of fries Bread Michael's lobster pot pie Shrimp cocktail Black truffle Mac and cheese Grilled octopus Beef tartare Overall: 10/10 Everything tasted fresh and amazing!! Ambiance: This spot is classy and elegant. You will find many folks in suits or wearing business smart apparel. They have high tops, bar seating, regular seating, a fire pit outside in the court yard and new cabins added in with seating inside for dinning as well. I knew I should've canceled the reservation when I saw that my favorite glass of wine was $84! Our food was just OK my rib cap steak no better than you could make at home. My dining partners lobster pot pie looked impressive but had too much going on to be truly delicious. Service was nice but not over the top and not worthy of such high prices. We were there on a Saturday night before Father's Day and the restaurant was about half full. Please go to Texas roadhouse you will save about $500 and have just as good a meal. The two steaks we ordered were not cooked to the requested temperature and after sending back you just got a super tough piece of meat. The sides were also lacking in seasoning. The whipped potatoes were bland, the lobster Mac and cheese was ok but again could've used some pepper, Brussels sprouts also lacked in flavor. We got a little mini dulce de leche cake horrible. Although I am slightly disappointed that we couldn't sit in one of the igloos, the reservations through open table are not clear. After such a stellar experience at the Nashville location of Bourbon Steak, we were dying to try the DC restaurant. We decided to try it for our 5th anniversary and we were absolutely blown away! Every detail was perfect. From the handwritten note to the complimentary celebratory champagne, we truly had such a special night. The Duck Fat Fry Flight continues to impress, my personal favorite is the truffle option! The truffle butter rolls are the best restaurant bread anywhere we've ever been, hands down. I ordered the same thing here that I had in Nashville, Lobster Pot Pie. Tonight's dish strengthened my belief that this is a "must try before you die" dish! SO DELICIOUS! My boyfriend had the Dry Aged Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection! It was also served sliced which the Nashville location did not do. DC definitely gets the upper hand for that! The sides of Truffle Macaroni and "'Magical" Mushrooms were fantastic. Before we could order dessert, our server brought over a "happy anniversary" slice of cheesecake - which funny enough is what we wanted to order anyways! So refreshing and fruity! All of that to say, you need to visit Bourbon Steak. This is decidedly my favorite upscale restaurant and I am so happy there is a location closer to my Baltimore home than Nashville! Pretty decent steakhouse, been here a couple times. Parking is pretty tough, I usually just valet. Restaurant is situated at the main level of the Four Season's Hotel. Has modern interior and dim lighting, perfect for the night out with that special someone. Service is good on slow days, but may take a while at peak times. I've been waiting to come back here to pick up a burger and I was in luck now that they added a pickup option! The Tock gift card I had helped out though. We ordered truffle butter rolls, 2 prime steak burgers (both medium rare), 2 duck fat fry trios, and a bourbon chocolate bar. I was especially excited because this place has one of my favorite burgers in DC. Pickup was not super easy if you have a car. The hotel valet was not into me just waiting up front while my girlfriend walked up to get the food and the person at the front desk was not too friendly when pointing her to the restaurant. At minimum, I recommend parking somewhere and walking over or drop someone off to pick up. The food mostly traveled well. The fries were still crispy and the burger was still juicy without completely soaking the bun, but we were in traffic so I can understand if it was a little wet. The truffle butter rolls needed some re-heating but mainly because the truffle butter came on the side. The burgers despite the long wait were still pink on the inside and tasted great, not like it would have in restaurant but it satisfied my burger craving. The fries were mixed in the container so you couldn't really tell the difference in the flavor but the three dipping sauces made them so much better. We both loved the bourbon chocolate bar but I wasn't sure exactly what was in it. Not too sweet and had a lot of different textures I will definitely come back, probably after quarantine and dressed up as well since it's required in the dining room. My experience here was good/great. I came for lunch once they opened on a late Friday morning. They have a very friendly and wonderful staff and the atmosphere was great, and free valet parking if you get your ticket validated. It was a little loud for the few amount of tables that were occupied, but it wasn't disturbingly noisy. For food I got the prime burger which was seasoned and cooked beautifully and the duck fat fries. I could only have the truffle sauce because the other sauces had some pickled elements which I'm allergic to. They were nice and crispy, but I'm not a fan of truffle or old bay so I really only ate one of the trios. For dessert I had the smoked s'mores which the taste and presentation were amazing. It didn't really taste like s'mores to me, but it was still great nonetheless. I took off one star for two reasons. First, I wasn't completely blown away by my meal, but it was still great and good enough for four stars. Second, I waited 30 minutes for my waiter to bring me my check, but they were so busy with other tables I think I was forgotten. Last week, I dined in one of their new chalets, and the whole experience was bougie AF. It's been a minute since I last visited Bourbon Steak, and the service was as impeccable as I remember.  Big shoutout to James, my amazing server, for being all sorts of dope. Here's what you NEED to get when you go: -truffle rolls (INSANE) -fries (done 3 ways with 3 different dipping sauces) -any of their steaks -chicken schnitzel (delicious but SUPER rich) -THEIR DESSERT Holy moly, I can't even begin to tell you how crazy their s'mores dessert was. NEXT LEVEL, FOR REAL!!!! This came with toasted marshmallow ice cream, chocolate-praline mousse, and hazelnut streusel, and it may not sound compelling, but it was honestly one of the best desserts I've had in DC. Let me start by saying we didn't experience the indoor restaurant...our intention had been to sit at the bar for a drink and what we were told was "the best burger in the country." But when we arrived on a Friday night, the bar was packed. We managed to score one seat after a while, but it wasn't enjoyable. Sure, the decor is great, and the bartenders were friendly despite being very busy. But the crowd was what killed it (and I mean "killed" in the literal sense) for us: phony, plastic-looking people trying to impress and look like money. And lots of young women in heavy makeup and tiny skirts hanging on small men who seemed to be using their wealth (or appearance of having it) to boost their egos. The place simply isn't big enough to accommodate all the egos. Such a weird vibe. I know this bar has the rep of being a pickup place for a certain DC crowd, but I found it all so depressing. But if that's your scene, you do you. However, it was a gorgeous fall evening, and Bourbon Steak's outdoor patio saved the night! Fire pits with comfy sofas and lots of tables, all situated in the hotel's courtyard with lights strung overhead and tasteful greenery and plantings to give it an upscale but cozy feel. We got a table outside, and my mood lifted. You need about three hours to read the wine list, and they have some amazing selections. And let me tell you, the burger was possibly the best I've ever had, just as promised. Wow! Not a cheap night, but a memorable experience for sure. Located inside the Four Seasons Hotel (Georgetown), food and drinks should never cost this much money but if anyone can ask you to fork over that kind of mula, Bourbon Steak certainty can! Last time out was a group of 6 (fellas night) and we ate and drank like kings. We had everything from Wagu Beef to the Seafood Tower and the taste and presentation was unparalleled! VIP service that was unmatched by any high end steakhouse I've ever eaten at, so eventhough we left with less money in our pockets our belly's truly appreciated it.. Lol! I love burgers. Hard to disappoint me. Went to visit my daughter at school. We went on a Sunday to the bar area of Bourbon Steakhouse to grab a burger...Sat in a booth at the bar. Burger at a steakhouse...on a Sunday...football on the TV. Ordered a burger and shared a wedge salad (chopped). 1) Burger - juicy, but too salty 2) Bread - stale and too thick. I would have liked a softer bun. 3) Salad - fine, wasn't really chopped. Pieces were 3 inches wide. I expected a bit more from Bourbon Steakhouse. read more

I visited Bourbon Steak in October and the service (Andrew) and food were both solid. I enjoyed everything I ordered. The duck fat fries and bread were a nice unexpected touch. I don't always come across rib cap steaks so I was excited to try this and it didn't disappoint. The smoked s'mores may have been my favorite part of the meal. This was only my second time at this location in Georgetown, and I must say that I was very disappointed with the food this time around. The drinks are just the opposite of the food and were definitely the highlight of the evening. The Hot Buttered Rum drink was the biggest winner by far as they were being ordered by table after table from the bar all night long. Appleton and Brugal 1888 Rum, Ginger Cinnamon Cloves, Vanilla nd Dulce De Lecce Cream in a warm tumbler were perfect for this blistering cold evening. I also ordered the Prime Steak Burger which was a little undercooked, even asking for Medium Well with way too much pink. The Trio of Duck Fat Fries were just ok, could have done without the Garlic Frites. There are two different menus, one for the bar and one for the Dining Room and you cannot order from the other if you are in the wrong room. read more

I would have liked to give this place more stars, but a few hiccups left me no choice, but give them a solid 3.5 stars We were really exited in celebrating my husband's birthday with our children here. It's the first family trip and celebration in a restaurant since the pandemic. First, the atmosphere was great and the food would have been perfect if they were not bland, where we were expecting more flavors and too salty in other areas. We appreciate how family friendly it was! They have kids menu, but I can't recall the age limit. We were warmly greeted and I thought were off on a great note. The main server was nice and gave recommendations, but only when asked. He did not take initiative so it was a bit odd for us. The assisting servers, on the other hand, were awesome! They were very attentive (ie. Refilling glasses before it ever went empty and paying attention that I was still on sparkling water and great with the kids). Speaking of sparkling water.... I've never been to a place that up charged it for about 1000%; no exaggeration. It was $11 for a bottle. My husband enjoyed the "marry me honey" drink before the meal and the red wine with the steak. I have to agree the fries were delicious! It was odd that we were not offered the garlic bread. I wouldn't have known that we could have some until I saw other tables served them and thought it was odd to have a bread plate, but not offered bread. It was only when I asked one of the assisting servers that we were served since bread, which my husband enjoyed. I, on the other hand, found that it wasn't great. I thought the idea was neat, but it was not soft as I thought it would be (like a cinnamon roll). The table side preparation of the tuna tartare was a nice touch and it looked elegant prior to being mixed. We both felt it was underseasoned and could use a touch of citrus. I enjoyed the brussel sprouts side. The mushrooms were salty though. We requested the rib eye to be cooked medium rare, but my husband found it more rare than he'd like. The steak was also salty. The kids' meals look good, but the farmer's fruit platter appetizer for the kids looked very plain and lacked finesse. The kids did mention that the Mac and cheese was not as good as how I make it at home. Because it was considered a must try fish, we tried a bit and agreed it was really one note and tasted heavy. Lastly, when I called to make reservations, I mentioned it was my husband's birthday. Someone called to confirm our reservations and his birthday and said they will make it extra special for him. We weren't expecting much, but not even a candle on the chocolate molten lava cake. We should have tried with the s'mores other Yelpers recommended as the molten lava cake was a disappointment. I came here for my birthday and it was my first time ever at the high end restaurant. I walked in and was greeted so kindly by the servers and workers. They seated me and my guest and our server was so kind and was ready and happy to serve us. We ordered our drinks first and they were wonderful. I finished my drink as you can see in the video . I ordered their salmon and it was wonderfully cooked and light. They offered complimentary fries with sauces and they were bomb. The place is beautiful hands down! There were many people here and they were dressed beautifully as it is a high end restaurant. They don't play loud music here and the atmosphere is just right! 5 stars for great food, great service, and great location. Bourbon is inside the Four Seasons hotel. Although no formal dress code, dress to impress. Food - ordered the Lobster Pot Pie as my entree and the Chargrilled Octopus for my appetizer. The Lobster Pot Pie is one of Bourbon's signature dishes. Now, the experience of this dish is truly deserving of 5 stars alone. For starters, get ready for a sous chef to bring this dish out to you, and prepare your dish in front of you. Cutting the crust from the top of the pot pie, to layering each piece of lobster, and pouring the goodness that is the broth over the lobster and vegetables, leaves one salivating! After the pomp and circumstance (presentation of meal) was over, it was time for the good stuff- tasting the dish! The lobster was cooked to perfection, and the broth was so hearty and flavorful. It definitely was too much for one sitting, so I took the rest as leftovers. The chargrilled octopus was also delicious - not rubbery, which depending on where you go to eat, you can get that rubbery consistency. I do wish a little more was offered, but I guess that's why it's called an appetizer. Service was top notch. From the time we were seated to the time we left, I felt attended to, and I was made to feel comfortable. I want to start by saying the service that I initially had was really good. He was kind of distracted with the table next to us but for the most part he is very attentive. They start off with an appetizer of fries which is amazing. I would read them a 10 out of 10 with all three sauces. Then they bring out some rolls which were pretty good I would say they are an 8 out of 10. For my steak I ordered the waygu petite 6oz. I asked for medium and received medium well. I had them take it back and the second time I receive medium rare. I had them take it back again and I received a medium well steak. At that point it wasn't worth it for me to keep asking them for a nice steak. The steak however was really good. It didn't require a sauce at all so that's important. I would rate it a 9 out of 10. For a drink I got my Shirley Temple as per usual and it was delicious. I would rate it a 9 out of 10. They definitely had a happy birthday sign for my friend which I appreciated and they gave her a free mini lemon cake. When I come back? Yes! The bill was $$$$ read more

This has been my best dining experience in DC yet. I loved how they addressed the reservation maker by name once we were stared. To start, we were given complimentary bread and a fry trio, with 3 unique dipping sauces. I ordered the 8 oz filet with grilled shrimp, truffle butter, truffle Mac and cheese, and grilled broccoli. Everything was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. To drink, I had the apple cobbler cocktail made with Appleton rum. That was also very tasty. Since we were celebrating a birthday, our guest of hair was given a dessert, compliments of the chef. From service to food, the experience was a 10/10. Will be returning for sure. read more
