Just left the salon, seriously the worst pedicure I've ever had. I get my nails done every three weeks, mani and pedi gel on both. I typically go to Mimi's by OSH, they aren't perfect but for the most part I'm always happy with the way my nails come out. I was impatient and didn't want to wait today so I tried Boutique. First issue, the control on the massage chair is zip tied down and covered in plastic so you can't actually see what any of the buttons are. My major complaint would be the woman cutting so much off the side of my toenail that I bled. She cut my nails super short with out asking and I had to remind her to put clear coat on one foot. I actually went in for a mani and pedi but after the hour and twenty minute long awful pedicure where she didn't even scrub my heels I no longer had time for fingers which were my priority not to mention I didn't feel like being cut again. I'd strongly advice against going here. Only redeeming quality would be the girl that does the cleaning, she was very thorough. read more

I come here for pedicures. The one time I had a full set done here, my nails were lifting before the week was over. I was very disappointed. But they do great pedicures! There's an older gentleman that gives the best foot/leg massages and all of the nail techs do beautiful designs. read more

My friend introduced me to this place yesterday and I absolutely fell in live with it. They make sure you leave happy and feel well taken cared of. They actually listen to you and what you want and like. I have short toe nails and finger nails so I told them I mainly come for the massage you get and they spent extra time massaging my feet and hands. Then while my nails were drying they massage your neck and shoulders. I was so happy I recommend this place to anyone. They take their time and they're very friendly. Absolutely love this place. I have tried a number of places in Modesto over the years and none of them compare. When I went to other places they were never consistent with their quality of service. I am putting 1 star because no stars is not an option. I have been here a few times before. Never had any issues. I love going cause they have great leg massages with their pedicure. Today, my experience has been less than satisfactory. I came to have a relaxing pedicure since I am pregnant and sore from moving. I showed up at 4pm. Right away the lady told me to go and sit down. Normally when they say this, it means there's not a long wait. I got in my chair at 403. It is now 450 and I'm just now having my pedicure start. For the whole time I sat and waited, I sat in cold water, just getting clammy feet. When the lady finally started, she wasn't apologetic at all for the wait and started rushing through my pedicure and ended up cutting my toes in several places when scraping the nails to cut the cuticles. My friend who is with me is also having a bad experience. She's getting shellac and when she sat down, the guy didn't wipe down his station or change the towel from the previous manicure. We have pictures of the condition of his station as well. When he started cutting her nails and they weren't cut the same, she asked him to alter them to how she wanted them only to be responded with a heavy sigh and rolled eyes. For what you pay to have a relaxing experience, this was not worth it in the slightest. I feel pretty stupid for recommending this place for so long, only to return and have crappy service. read more

I recently went in (on June 9th) which was a Friday. I got acrylic done on my nails. By the following Sunday, all of the corners of the acrylic on my nails had chipped off. I went back in to get them fixed, but was told it would be at least a 30 minute wait. I would think this would be some what of a priority because it was done poorly the first time. read more

This place focuses more on manicures and pedicures than acrylic or gel nails. Do NOT get your nails done here. had mine done and i hated them. Holly, told me that she is going to make them look natural. Some of them are crooked and they just look wrong. She took 2 hours to do them. I had to wait 30 minutes, while they were double teaming on a lady who was getting a mani and a pedi done at the same time. When i was about to leave, is when when Holly finally told me to have a seat at her nail station. Oh, and they charge you a $1 extra if you use a debit card. The sign isnt even noticeable. I went for some mother/daughter bonding time and the service was so-so. The guy who did my 11 year old daughter's pedi was great!! He was super sweet with her and extremely gentle and friendly! The older lady who did my pedi gave a fantastic massage but was a little rough with the cuticle cutting. She was nice enough, trying to talk to me a little bit, but her english did not seem to be good enough to hold a conversation. The owner, Lily, did my daughter's mani. She did a good job but was a bit rough with her, making her bleed on her pointer finger. I did not like how crass and rude she was, yelling over to her mom and friend the whole time or on her cell phone. She ended up not even finishing my daughter's mani, instead yelling to her mother to finish as she ran out the door. The mother finished up very nicely, adding sparkles to my daughter's nails! Overall, I was super happy with the cleanliness of the shop, the relaxing massage and environment, and the prices (Little Miss mani/pedi was only $21!) It is one of the better salons to go to here in Modesto. I recommend asking for Holly (the mother) or the man (I didn't get his name.) If Lily's customer service improved and the older lady was a little more gentle, I would have to say that it would be the best nail salon ever! I am definitely going back! read more

The only reason I can't give this place 5 stars is they really should pay more attention to certain hygiene aspects. Don't get me wrong, the place is clean, but I was quite put off the first time I went for a basic manicure and the lady sneezed on her hand, then proceeded to go grab a bottle of nail polish and continued to do my nails without so much as a wipe, sanitizing, or handwash. Gross! And i'm not an extreme germ-a-phobe, but COME ON. Since that I refuse to get any nail services from them. I do, however, get brow waxes (they are so awesome at brows that I ignore the fact that often their towels laid out on the table seem to need changing...again, goes back to small hygienic things), foot massages on occassion, and shellac pedicures. Their shellac pedicures are a great deal and if it happens to be a slow day, they'll give you a wonderful foot massage to go along with it. My only complaint is they aren't always consistent, like sometimes they'll just get you done quick if there's a wait, but other times they really take their time. While I do understand the need for this, it's just tough to predict the type of experience you may get that day. But the customer service is always very good. Friendly staff. Very reasonably priced. Best pedicure and massage place definitely for the price. read more

Terrible experience here. I came in for a French tip manicure and she basically slapped the nails on without any prepping (no cutting off the cuticles or nails) and came out with glue all over my hands, hair stuck in the gel, uneven lengths, and some of them were even cut to the same length as my actual nail which I did not want. Also will not forget how harsh and rough the lady was on my nails I came into slight tears at one point. Terrible job, do not recommend to come here to get your nails done. read more

The problem with this salon are the different people doing the work. I've gone in before and gotten a decent pedicure. Other times terrible and then I'd stay away for awhile. Last night I had the worst pedicure of my life. She cut three of my toes. They bled the entire time and even after I left. My polish is a mess, looks like a 5 year old painted them. I've got to go somewhere else this week to have it redone, but have to wait until my toes heal because I'm already worried about infection. I've been getting pedicures for many years and have never experienced anything like this at any salon. WORST EVER. I will definitely never go back. read more

I signed up for Yelp just so I can leave this review. I agree with other reviews that they are friendly here. But I came here to relax and get a manicure and pedicure done, properly. I came in and I asked if I can get a manicure first. I was told yes but that I had to soak my feet for about 15 minutes until someone was free. She then started working on my pedicure and when I asked her about getting a manicure first, she said someone will come and do it at the same time (which never happened). Right before my foot massage, she said she had to go and do a facial so I had to wait for another person. Jason took over and he had to re-clean and remove the rest of my cuticles that the other person missed. Jason gave me a very relaxing foot massage. It was probably harder than most people would like but it was nice (this is why I gave this place 1 star). My pedicure was done and another person came and said she was doing my manicure. She did not know how to shape, clean or or paint nails. My nails were all different shapes and I had to ask her numerous times to remove cuticles. As for the painting, I sat there for an hour just to get them painted and repainted. I couldn't take any more so I just left. I got in my car and saw how terrible my hands looked so I went back inside and talked to Holly (Owner). I showed her my nails and asked her how she would feel if she was a paying customer and this was how they did them. She said it looks nice! I was baffled and asked her to look closely. I paid for a Luxury Spa pedicure, I was there for almost 1 1/2 but was wondering what I paid for once I got home Because I still had ruff dry skin on myself heals and big toes, I best part was the shoulder massage was a completely different women gave me than the one who did myself pedicure, that was a BOMB , she did that while myself toes were drying and it lasted a good 10 mins so worth the time and I guess I can use myself ped-egg after myself shower Ang get rid off myself dead ruff skin and the WATER WAS COLD IN THE SOAKING TUB, NOT VERY RELAXING, BUMMER wouldn't really go back unless it's just for the basic pedicare. read more
