Our son who doesn't usually like to eat plain steamed rice polished off his rice bowl because it was soaked with the tasty meat juices. Each of our orders was accompanied by a small bowl of miso soup, toasted noticed sheets and a self serve cold salad bar of shredded cabbage and pickled Daikon and carrot shreds with sesame dressing. Great for a contrasting relief with our grilled meat. The price for our entrees ranged from $18.90 for mine to $24.75 for the Deluxe combo. We appreciated having the salad bar too. Very simple, lots of neutral colours, so it feels warm and bright. I was able to sample the following: - Chargrilled Pork-Bone In Roast: OK. It was delivered on a hot sizzling plate, so that is always nice to see. It looks big, but once you remove the bone, it's the same quantity of meat as any other dish. It's a bit of work to remove the bones. The rice had too much water - it was mushy. Miso was ok. The self service salad bar is only cabbage, green onions and pickled carrot/daikon, which is good for adding some fibre, but nothing outstanding. - Pork & Chicken: OK. Meat tasted fine, but not any better than a lot of other grilled meat from a Vietnamese restaurant. Service is minimal as orders are placed on the tablet connected to the table.
