    Sheriff's Notice
    Danty S.

I paid for preparing documents and my citizenship application, Spencer collected money from me multiple times for same work, and promised to refund the excess amount or I can use it as credits if I need further services. However, with no work completed and no updates, Spencer ghosted me when I called, multiple times. Eventually, I submitted the application by myself in April 2024 and asked for the refund. Spencer agreed to the full amount of $5,025 in May 2024, and promised to pay me gradually, but I have only received 1 payment, in amount of $200 on 5/28/2024. Until today, Bow Joy Services still owes me $4,825. I filed complaint via BBB, the complaint was closed with no answer from the business. I am bringing Bow Joy Services to SF Small Claims Court, but the Sheriff's office couldn't serve the defendant. What kind of person ignores Sheriff's notices or a court order?? Feel free to check for court documents on SF Small Claims Case Calendar: https://webapps.sftc.org/cc/CaseCalendar.dll?=&SessionID=D5E2D70387A13C09417EA608B4977BC76FC4B29C Date: 10/28/2024 1:30 PM Case Number: CSM-24-868867 I have suffered enough with this business, I hope there will be no more victims like me.

Beware of Spencer Chase and Bow Joy Services - Unreliable despite good ratings. I trusted Spencer Chase of Bow Joy Services after finding him on Yelp, where he had positive ratings and reviews. Unfortunately, those reviews could not have been further from my experience. My engagement with him resulted in over six months of delays, broken promises, and, ultimately, a demand for a refund after he failed to deliver any results. In December 2023, I paid Spencer $2500 upfront to assist with a REAL ID and Schengen visa. As a frequent business traveller, I needed these documents handled reliably. Initially, everything seemed professional--he confirmed receipt of payment promptly and outlined the next steps. It quickly became apparent that he had no intention of delivering on his promises. Timeline of Events (Note: This timeline highlights the major events but does not capture the full extent of our communication efforts. Over six months, I sent 47 messages and emails to Spencer, of which he responded to only 12. Most of his responses were vague or unhelpful, delaying the process further.) 29 days after payment (January 25, 2024) - Progress: 0% I shared all the required details for the REAL ID process, including my availability, but Spencer failed to provide updates. There was no clarity on timelines, documents needed, or next steps. The silence was frustrating, especially considering I'd already paid in full. 56 days after payment (February 21, 2024) - Excuse: "Overseas" Spencer claimed he was "overseas" and unavailable to attend a meeting, causing further delays. This marked the start of his repeated excuses and unavailability. Still, there was no progress on the REAL ID or the Schengen visa. 86 days after payment (March 22, 2024) - Vague Promises After persistent follow-ups, Spencer promised updates "by this afternoon/evening" but failed to deliver. He asked for my travel details but took no action after receiving them. It became clear that he was not prioritizing our case. 154 days after payment (May 29, 2024) - Escalation to Management After months of vague responses, I wrote to him again, and we did get a response--now citing reasons like being "out of office." 175 days after payment (June 20, 2024) - Termination I formally terminated Spencer's engagement after nearly six months of no deliverables. He consistently failed to respond to urgent follow-ups and did not initiate either the REAL ID or the Schengen visa process. 192 days after payment (July 5, 2024) - Refund demanded with threat of legal action I emailed Spencer demanding an immediate refund of $2500 for services not rendered. 202 days after payment (July 15, 2024) - Final Reminder A follow-up email reiterated the demand for a refund and warned of stringent legal action if Spencer remained unresponsive. Despite this, he failed to respond or act. A word of advice If you're considering Spencer Chase or Bow Joy Services, I strongly urge you to reconsider. Whether you're an individual traveller or a business looking for reliable documentation services, this is not someone you can trust. Please do your due diligence: Verify recent reviews, ask for references, and avoid making full advance payments unless you are sure of their credibility. Don't be fooled by good ratings: Positive reviews can create a false sense of security, as they did for me. Visa and documentation processes are too critical to leave in the hands of someone who is this unreliable. This was a complete failure of trust and professionalism. Learn from my mistake and choose someone who values your time, money, and trust. Avoid Spencer Chase and Bow Joy Services at all costs.

Since the consulate recently removed the option to book appointments, this is the cheapest option I found for getting the visa and IMO totally worth it to skip waiting in the consulate line. The website is a little outdated but updates with the bare minimum information that is needed. You can ship materials ($37 each way) or drop them off at the in-person office in SF. My total invoice for getting the visa was $380 -- $185 for the mandatory consulate fee, $185 service fee, and the remainder was a processing fee. Other than that, there are no add-ons for "checking documents" or "photo print" (which is not necessary for the SF consulate) like other websites, which I appreciated. One of the biggest downsides: it is *really* difficult to contact customer service (the phone lines have 20+ minute wait times and my email went unanswered). Overall, I was able to get my visa for China within 3 weeks using this service. It lifted a huge burden of stress off my shoulders. When my 10-year visa expires, I would definitely consider reusing this service!

Due to the long processing times, there was no way I could get my passport back in time for my trip. I spent 3 days from 5 AM - 8PM calling the Passport Agency to get an appointment. Nothing, they had nothing. And if they had something, it was in the next 24-72 hours in another state. After doing some digging around, I came across Visa Network. If you're ever in a pickle with your passport, forget every other agency, just come to them. A few reasons as to why you should choose them as your new passport agency: 1. They reassured me, listened, asked me about my trip, gave me advice and next steps. They made me feel so valued and heard. 2. They are extremely personable, empathetic, organized, thorough, transparent about their prices (which are reasonable compared to other agencies charging to $800-$1000's), and they returned my calls and messages in a timely manner. 3. I sent out all of my paperwork and old passport on June 26th, I picked up my new passport today (July 13th). I had chosen for my passport to be expedited in 4-5 weeks but they got it back to me in 2 weeks + some days. 4. I opted to go pick up my passport in the office in SF. The office is easy to find, garage parking wasn't too bad, and the team had me open my passport there to ensure it was correct. I was extremely worried about giving such an important document to some stranger who might mess it up, overcharge me for their services, and not get my stuff back in time, but they proved me soo wrong! I cannot thank Marcus and his team enough! I was a ball of anxiety and stress for days. I don't know how it's possible that he got it back to me so quickly, but he did the damn thing. Thank you again, team Visa Network!

My girlfriend and I used Golden Time Travel when we wanted to take a vacation but couldn't get any time off. It's a great vacation option since you can be gone for literally months and return to the present only a moment after you left. Our first trip booked with Golden was pretty great. We wanted to get away to somewhere familiar so we went to San Francisco in 1905. It was real nice and the exchange rate was excellent, particularly because of inflation since then. The trolleys got us around real easily, and everyone was very friendly. We had a nice time staying at the Palace Hotel, and our bellhop, Edward, was wonderful. You can imagine our shock when, upon arriving home, we looked him up and found out he died the next year in the earthquake, along with the hotel which was destroyed in the ensuing fire. Very sad. I kind of wish we'd warned him now. The next year we saved up a bit and went to classical Greece. Golden Time Travel dropped us off and picked us up two weeks later without a hitch. My girlfriend has a lighter complexion, and though she got made fun of a bit for being a "barbarian"--several times we heard children chanting "bar-bar-bar" and making fun of our yet-uninvented tongue--the famous "Athenian hospitality" more than made up for it. Plus, those togas are surprisingly flattering. My only critique is that the cuisine left something to be desired. We forgot that this was pre-Columbian exchange, so no tomatoes, potatoes, chocolate, corn or avocados. Also, they hadn't quite figured out chemistry in that era, much less baking, so don't expect to be impressed with the pastries (no baklava yet). For our next trip we decided to check out the Bay Area in 2085. Now, I know this wasn't Golden Time Travel's fault, as they just provide the time machine, but this trip was an absolute disaster. Apparently Mark Zuckerberg is a robot fascist dictator in that year, and he forces loyalty through perpetual social surveillance. Well, it was really terrifying, and we spent most of the trip dodging the Google Civilian View drone copters that track down "nonconsumers" and install g-chips to catalog their brain. I know the contents of the future aren't the fault of Golden, but we would have appreciated some forewarning. They certainly have the technology.
