    Appetizer combo

This place is such a hidden gem in North york! It's tucked away quietly in a low key plaza. Service was friendly and quick. One thing to note is that the portions here are HUGE, be prepared to eat a lot or take the rest home. I got the appetizer combo and the khao soi with chicken and it was almost too much for 3 people. Absolutely great value for the amount of food you get. Would be stopping by again for sure!

I would not say Bow Thai Restaurant is an Authentic Thai restaurant. But more a reasonably priced neighbourhood restaurant. Portion size is good and you get good value for your money. Small family owned and managed. Th usual pad thai and curry both pretty solid choice.

Service is friendly and interesting. Food quality is good and best value Small but clean. good for small group Thai restaurant. You may wonder umm.. interesting ....what do you mean interesting. Sure here we go We three guests, ordered first appetizer fresh rolls to start with some drinks. Then we decided to add more the food and ordered 2 more dishes (noodles and curry) the reason we ordered this way because we are told ' we have to order more things because special dinner for 2 will not be enough for three'. Pls note that we did ordered appetizer already to start with. Anyways. In order to maintain my very pleasant and relaxed mood on this Friday , we took the lady owner suggestion and ordered two entrees separately instead of special for 2 combo.

Still in the search for the best thai place in town that would out-take my current 5 stars rating most favourite restaurant! Unfortunately it's not this one :) It's nice, cool quite atmosphere, the menu is rich and well done, but the flavours were a little overpowering! The flavours are there but too much at some bites, It's a nice overall experience, I had the beef satays to start, the beef was cooked perfectly, the little salad next to it is nice but a little too much cilantro, and the peanut sauce was just too chinky and thick! Then the numtok salad was probably the weakest link off what I tried, too much flavours and asian spices clashing with each other. The green curry on the other side should be spicy, and I asked for extra spicy as well, but it was more on the mild side. But again, worth a shot!

Pretty small restaurant that seats maybe 35 people at most. I ordered my go to thai dish, the khao soi which comes with a choice of either beef, chicken or tofu. I ordered tofu with my khao soi and my dish came with lots of vegetables (a huge variety), but no tofu to be seen at all. I knew tofu is considered a vegetarian dish, but I didn't get what I ordered. I later tried the tofu from a friend's dish, and concluded I was not missing out on too much as it was a little tough and chewy. Another friend ordered a vegetarian pad thai, but got a chicken pad thai instead. Aside from the order mix up, the quality of our dishes were great, portions of all dishes were big and I particularly loved the presentation of my khao soi noodles. Prices were fairly affordable and worth the amount of food we all got.

Crunchy chicken with Cashew..a little on the salty side but chicken is well cooked and crunchy!

If you are looking for some delicious and good quality PAD THAI, come and check out Bow Thai! I have been here twice and the quality of food has not gone down. Its a small restaurant and can be very busy, so make sure to put a reservation in advance. Lots of parking lot and very friendly staff!

Ambience & decor: Modern with a touch of Thai ethnic paintings & carvings. Food & service: Staff is friendly. We have been here a few times and their food has been superb. I'm surprised at the 1 star ratings this place has received especially for things like 'rice is not included' or 'too spicy' Most places don't include rice and curries will be made mildly spiced if you ask them. You need to have the ability to handle the mild spice. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

This place is a horror story, unless you like horror stories I would recommend staying far, far away from this place. Everyone else's reviews are right, they can not get anything right! Ordered an appetizer which came out undercooked. Ordered two main dishes, one comes and the other did not... Wait 20 minutes and the other one still hasn't arrived! People who ordered take out received their order before our second dish arrived... Best of all they want you to pay for food that hasn't come! The place is just a mistake. Do yourself a favor, stay away.

Shrimp chicken pad Thai - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Slow service and the server tends to forgot what the customer ordered. Curry is ok but in general, I suggest to go somewhere else.

The restaurant has a lot of smaller tables, making it feel cozy, and the service was super friendly. I ordered the dry boat noodles with egg noodles and they were so good. The side of broth was absolutely amazing and honestly one of the best parts of the meal. Rich, flavorful, and so comforting. I kept alternating between bites of noodles and sips of broth. There was chili oil on the table, and I definitely got a little carried away. It was seriously spicy, but somehow I couldn't stop eating. My mouth was on fire, but every bite made me want another. Even after leaving, I kept thinking about those noodles. I also liked that there are several noodle options to choose from depending on what texture you're craving. Between the delicious food, great broth, and kind service, this is definitely a spot I'd come back to again.

Service was higher than standard. I like the other things this restaurant offers by the entrance. I also got a Thai inhaler stick there and it works like a charm.

I'm definitely coming back here!…read more We ordered the Tapioca dumplings, the beef messemen curry, and the mango and purple sticky rice. Wow! It was all so tasty. The tapioca dumplings are unlike anything I've tasted before. They serve it with a side of lettuce, mint and peanuts. I liked the dumplings better without the sides they served! The lettuce and other add ons dim the flavors of the dumplings. So I prefer just eating the dumplings straight on. The Messemen curry was so flavorful and the beef was so tender! I'm a big fan. If you're a fan of Thai curries then you'll definitely like this! The Mango purple sticky rice dessert was also really tasty! It had a tasty coconut sorbet and it all went really well together. Service was good, food came out quickly, vibes were good. No complaints here!

Unfortunately, the day took an unexpected turn when I had to go to the hospital, and for a while I thought I wouldn't make it at all. As a testament to both the kindness of my friends and the exceptional staff at Lao Lao, they were able to accommodate us even though I arrived nearly two hours late on a busy Saturday evening. Originally, our table was only reserved until 8:00 p.m.--the exact time I finally arrived. Thankfully, with the help of our incredible server, Savanna N., everything worked out. Her professionalism, warmth, and willingness to help truly made the evening possible. More than anything, I hoped the wait would be worthwhile for my friends, who were visiting for the first time. I'm happy to say they absolutely loved it--especially the outstanding hospitality and customer service. A huge thank you to Savanna and the entire team for making us feel so welcome. As for the food, every dish was delicious. Nothing disappointed. The papaya salad was such a hit that we ordered it twice. The Beef Massaman Curry, Crispy Lao Spiced Chips, Banana Leaf Steamed Fish, and the seasonal Vermicelli Noodle in Chicken Coconut Red Curry were all exceptional. Although it had been about a year since my last visit, I was delighted to see that Lao Lao remains consistently excellent in its food, quality, and service. Bravo!

I found the dishes to be quite heavy-handed on the seasoning (borderline too salty), so the variety helps. Panang Curry - very flavorful, slightly sweet, and very savory. Had a nice kick to it! Som Tum Tod (fried papaya salad) - ordered it because it was their signature but I thought it was too salty and crunchy. And I got kind of tired of the fried aspect of it. Wished I ordered the fresh papaya salad instead. The heat and garlic is nice though. Decently sized portion so you can share it with the whole table. Pad Woonsen Cha-Om (Minced Pork & glass noodle, egg, garlic and acacia leaves) - my first time trying this dish! It was really good! It kind of filled the role of "fried rice" to me, mellowing out all of the stronger flavours of the other dishes. Still quite flavourful on its own too. Felt like a Thai-spin on the Korean dish, Japchae. Kai Yang (grilled chicken) - oh my gosh the sauce this chicken comes with is TO DIE FOR. I want to buy it or learn how to make it. It's so fragrant, fresh, spicy, aromatic, and just the right amount of fishy and acidic. We were very full sharing these 4 dishes between 3 people. For the fact that this is Michelin Bib Gourmand, I think it is well-priced and a great place to try!
