Surprisingly disappointed by this joint given the high ratings on Google. We got the khao soi since it had a unique look with the flying noodle chopsticks, the pad see ew and the massaman curry and everything was super salty. I personally didn't like the pad see ew because they used the thin noodles, I preferred the traditional thicker ones. The massaman lacked depth of flavour. One thing that was good is the portion size. Likely will not be returning here sadly. The server when clearing the plates also spilled on my husbands pants but didn't acknowledge it.

Finally had the chance to check out Jatujak recently after hearing some raving reviews. First off, this place is busy! Definitely not a spot for a spontaneous dinner unless you've got a reservation. We came on a weekend and there were so many groups that were turned away. The decor is very busy too, and the whole place felt a little stuffy--almost overwhelming at times. So, if you're looking for a calm, cozy vibe, this might not be it. Parking can be a hassle since their lot is small. I'd recommend parking at the Richmond Hill Performing Arts Centre across the street (it's less than 5 minutes to walk over) if you want to avoid the stress. As for the food, I'd say it's a mixed bag. The enoki mushrooms were crispy and delicious--definitely a standout. But the Pad Thai, while flavorful, was a little wet for my liking. Plus, there were only five shrimp in the whole dish, which made it feel like you're paying for more noodle than protein. The Tom Yum soup was another letdown. It was difficult to scoop out, and the seafood tasted a bit low-quality. Not quite the punch I was hoping for given the steep price tag. The curry was pretty solid but I'd definitely skip the roti and just stick with the rice that comes with it. In my opinion, the roti was overly fried and crunchy. I guess I was expecting a more soft and chewy version. For dessert we ordered the mango sticky rice. It was good overall and very pretty. However, it was almost too sweet, and even after eating it I'm not too sure if the different coloured rice had different flavours or not. As a note, you get 10% discount for paying cash. I'm not sure if it's because we were a group of 6, but they also auto charged us gratuity at 18%. Overall, I thought the dining experience was just mediocre. It was a little uncomfortable in the restaurant and felt rushed during the meal. The food was mostly good, but nothing really stood out. Especially considering the price, it just didn't hit all my expectations.

My first time trying Jatujak and it was amazing! Better than the usual fave Thai restaurants I would go to. Their pad Thai was saucy and the green curry was delicious too. Coconut rice was also perfect amount of sugar. I think the only flag I would raise is they add spice to it so make sure to mix your food around or ask for Mild.

That was one plate of fucking respectable Pad Thai that made me wanna yell oweeee after the first bite. I was not expecting it to be this authentic since their patrons are primarily folks from Richmond Hill - Chinese/Hongkongers (hence, they always give out chopsticks, something you should NOT see from an authentic Thai restaurant lol). But damn. That was fantastic. I can't wait to be back and try their other stuff. Price wise, although It was not cheap (17.95 for the chicken pad Thai), the portion was big and satisfying. It definitely is worth the price The service was good, and the interior was a bit tacky but mostly cozy! The kitchen area (where I could peek a bit) is very clean and organized. That is always a HUGE green flag to me.

Visited this be location on Saturday Party of 2, they put us to a small table, but when I see the table next to me is 2 people and I asked why our table is so small the gentleman say "First come first serve" what kind of service is this?? Not much parking space....there Thai music was blasted so loud....the music should be a bit quiet so people can enjoy the food Strongly do not recommend this location I've been Scarborough location which service was so good but this one is the most terrible service I've ever been to

Decent for a Thai restaurant in a Canadian neighborhood, but not for anyone who's tasted the real thing in Thailand. It's fine for the locals, just not the same depth of flavor.

I found the food underwhelming for a restaurant that many people rave about. Perhaps it was the items we chose but I found everything too heavy and salty. We had the Crab Fried Rice, Pad Woon Sen and for dessert the roti with mango ice cream. The flavours were decent but nothing amazing. Even the dessert was too heavy as the roti crepes were quite greasy. I feel like I may not have tried enough of their menu items and would be happy to be back to try some other things.

Absolutely delicious Saturday dinner at Jatijak! This is my new favourite Thai place in the area. It was packed but the order arrived quickly and it was amazing! Best Tom Yum Gong soup I ever had. Red curry with shrimp was cooked to perfection. And having draft beer (we had Thai beer Singha) was an added bonus. We will certainly be back soon. Make sure you make reservations for dinner, it's a really small place and seems to be very popular.

Tried their khao soi, which had a silky, decadent soup and a beautiful display. The noodles were a perfect texture and soup was well seasoned. My friends had the pad thai and tom yum lunch specials which were such a cheap price for the massive portion size. We also shared a mango salad which had nice sour notes along with a good salty flavour. Only issue was poor service, where they didn't seem as attentive since we waited a while to be seen.

A new Thai restaurant opened so I had to check it out. Food is well portioned and delicious. I got the fried enoki mushroom appetizer and the Tom yum soup with mussels, squid and shrimp. The fried enoki was huge and a great shareable, but it was a bit too oily. The Tom yum soup was delicious and filling. Service was fast and the place looks amazing.

The restaurant is small, few tables but nicely decorated. The parking is really limited in the small plaza and the restaurant is tucked away in the corner. I can't imagine how you'd get a spot here when it's busy as the lot is shared with many other stores. I ordered a soft shell crab dish with noodles and a coconut curry broth. The crab was nicely fried and crispy though the batter was thicker than what I prefer. The broth was served in a little clay pot surrounded by noodles and some vegetables. The vegetables were sloppy. The cilantro was a bit wet and served uncut with majority of the stem- it couldn't fit in the pot. There was a side of lettuce and some salad greens that felt like it was straight from a store bought salad meal kit. Also served with an inedible decorative tomato skin- literally a tomato peel rolled to represent a flower.

The food was great. I got the rice dish and friend go the curry dish. You can adjust the spice tolerance. Service is nice and the place is also nice. Seatings can be a little cramped. I lowkey felt like i was eatting with a couple as there conversation was so close.

Small appetizers platter. Everything was fresh and crispy and the flavours wowed us 2. Large beef hot pot. It is a must try and we will continue to order this in future visits. 4. Pad Thai noodles with beef The flavours were there but I think this dish goes better with shrimp. Definitely a change for next time. Overall this place rocks We will definitely be back and I recommend this Thai restaurant for all your authentic Thai dishes done right.

The mango was slightly too ripe but it was not unpleasant; the mango was cut too thick though. It was the first time I'd had a non spicy Thai mango salad & the dressing was lacking tartness.  Crab fried rice was well fried with quite a lot of crab. The egg on top was fluffy & pretty thick. Soft shell crab was crispy & fresh but slightly too moist. Lime was extremely juicy (like calamansi level juicy, which it is replacing after all). The dish was served with seafood sauce which was good & fish sauce  (normal). Previously, Medium tom yum soup hotpot had 6 prawns. The peppers were not legit but the taste was legit. The prawns were fresh & plump. BBQ pork jowl was tasty. It had a good texture though I've had more tender before. Deep fried papaya salad was good: crispy with a refreshing sauce Thai volcano ribs (medium): small came with 3 ribs & large 5. It was a simple stock & taste. They were very tender. The taste was not that special. Mango sticky rice was good with reasonably sweet mango & a nice pairing with coconut sauce & rice. Homemade coconut ice cream was good with the trademark intense coconut flavour of Thai coconut ice cream. The pairing with rice, fruit & nuts was nice.

Our favourite dish was the Signature Shrimp Cakes. The portion was surprisingly large, packed with shrimp, and perfectly crispy on the outside. The Moo Ping was also excellent--tender charcoal-grilled pork skewers with very little fat and a delicious tangy dipping sauce. We also enjoyed the Tom Saap Hotpot with beef tendon, which the owner shared is based on a family recipe from their restaurant in Thailand. It was flavourful, comforting, and full of authentic Thai flavours. The Kai Tod Crispy Chicken Fried Rice was another standout, and we finished the meal with a refreshing Mango Sticky Rice dessert. As parents, we appreciated that they have high chairs available, vegetarian options on the menu, and plenty of free parking nearby. The location is also surrounded by retail stores, making it easy to combine a meal with a shopping trip. Overall, a great spot for authentic Thai food, generous portions, and a family-friendly dining experience. We would happily return.

We were able to order right away and our drinks and ice water were brought out. Our food was brought out fairly quickly, all of it being hot. Roti is a must order item! The noodles were also very tasty with the shrimp not being overcooked. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside and nice and juicy inside. Service was attentive with the servers checking on us every so often and clearing empty plates away. We were quickly seated and the service was really attentive and appreciated. At around 6-630pm the restaurant began to quickly fill with couples and families. We had the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai and the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring. We really enjoyed the fried chicken, coconut rice of the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring, and the amount of spice in the sambal onion and anchovies. The noodles in the Pad Thai had a firm texture which we liked, but for me the sauce was a bit sweet. If coming to the restaurant from 6pm on a weekend, the parking lot is very busy and you could be circling for a parking spot and having to move around vehicles that are double parked for take-out orders.
