mr. Tran ordered thru Ubereats since he thought they had an amazing BOGO padthai deal. He got 2 orders of chicken padthai, which comes with veggie rolls. We got our order, and he was the first one to eat it. It looked very orange, not a lot of ingredients other than noodles, but edible. He said thai express tasted better and the veggie rolls were not that great. I only had a couple bites, it was okay. I've had better padthai elsewhere. But what I did not like was that it technically wasn't BOGO. Their normal padthai costs $15-$17 normally. mr. Tran paid almost $30 for it. Don't really like how they run their business like that. I understand that Ubereats upcharge their prices, but lying that it's BOGO when you're paying full price is kind of shameful. Will not order from them again

I will start off by saying I have mixed feelings about this place My other half and I came for lunch at 2pm on a weekday and the restaurant was empty except for us. We ordered two lunch specials, the food was decent and service also decent. Not the cheapest but fair value. What caught me off guard though is the automatic 12% tip added to our bill. Like any other Canadian I do my fair share of tipping, but one of my biggest pet peeves is when tip is automatically added on to the bill. I understand if we were a large party, or the restaurant was slammed there may be an auto-gratuity. But literally we were the only table of two people ordering a set lunch with no adjustments. This left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth as tipping is discretionary and doesn't even exist in Asia or Europe basically. If your going to do auto tipping why not just increase the price of the food across the board and call yourself a "no tipping" restaurant. I digress, decent food, decent service but forced tip =

CANADIAN THAI!!!! Few stores next to J-San Sushi & Market in the same plaza. Need someone to tell me if they accept CT Money or not... Jokes aside, the majority of reviews about this place are good. Need to try it out and see.

Food: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Honestly, nit a bad place for food in general but not authentic Thai food at all. Came here with my coworkers and ordered their Chili Chicken lunch special. My coworkers ordered Pad Thai. We waited quite some time (around 15 minutes) for our food to arrive. It was on a weekday and there weren't many customers there so it felt a little strange that they took so long. Their dishes came with good portions. I'd asked them to put extra chili in mine but it really was not spicy at all. Even though I can handle my spice, I double checked with my coworker who ordered the same thing without extra spice and she said the original one wasn't spicy either. Unlike me, she can't handle spice. The spring rolls weren't spectacular, decent if you will. The rice was on the drier side. It was a bit on the pricier side despite the lunch special. The atmosphere was okay, again nothing spectacular but the staff were nice enough. I've had better Thai places but it's not bad for if you're looking for something to eat in the area.

I wasnt expecting much when I saw this name because I figured it wouldn't be authentic thai food. Also because the menu had chinese words on it. We wanted to order two things from the lunch menu but as soon as the manager saw it, he said we should order the regular menu because the portions are bigger. He tried to recommend a lot of popular items including the lobster, but we were like it's more for dinner lol So we got the mango salad (came with two crispy fish chips), veggie tom yum soup (quite good), chicken skewer (tasty esp the peanut sauce), panang chicken curry (the least spicy but still spicy) and mango sticky rice (so good but a little bit on the sweeter side). I enjoyed all of them and the curry came with lots of veggies (green/red pepper, beans and zucchini), which was really nice! Apparently they used to be at Leslie and John for 12 years! Cash is 5% discount.

On Saturday, I recommended a Thai restaurant that I love to a couple of business owners that I have developed a nice rapport over the last couple of months. It was nice that they trusted my suggestion and they loved their lunch experience there. It got me thinking that I don't have a go-to Thai place that I truly love near me. The ones that I have frequented are okay. I need one that makes me crave going there every week. Last Saturday, I did a search on my food apps and found BOGO deals on Canadian Thai. The name already made me think that perhaps it was more Canadian renditions of Thai food than authentic ones. I decided to give ordering from here a try. I got these items: - Vegetable spring rolls (BOGO) - Fresh pineapple fried rice (BOGO) - Thai vegetable coconut soup My order had a pickup time of twenty minutes. It was perfect, as I was coming from downtown Markham. There are a number of new stores in this area. It's in the same area where my bank, Tangerine, is. It's a new plaza on the southeast corner of Steeles and Woodbine. Parking is interesting. You can park in the lot for three hours. I parked on the street and wasn't sure how long you could park there. I knew that I'd be there momentarily, so I didn't bother hitting the parking lot. I walked into the eatery on a Saturday at around 5:30 pm. There were a few customers. I saw my bag of food on the table. I indicated my name and that I had an Uber Eats order to a woman who had said hi. I got my goodies from her, who was efficient to wish me a good evening, as did her colleague. It was hard to say whether they were friendly. I felt like it was more here-you-go-bye-now than nice. I drove home and chowed down. I ate the veggie spring rolls first. They were delicious. They were super crispy and had the perfect amount of filling. The sweet and sour dip wasn't overly sweet and was light. I loved it. The downside is that two rolls go for $6.99, which I find pricey, but I was okay getting quality over price. It kind of goes downhill from here. I got the Thai coconut soup. I love soup. The menu didn't mention that it was spicy. Apparently, this one was. I didn't realize that it had tiny pepper flakes at the bottom. When I took a spoonful, it irritated my throat (weird) such that I coughed up a storm. I am generally good with spicy soup, but I totally wasn't expecting it here. I was okay. I didn't have to do self-CPR. The vegetable chunk sizes were also odd. I got carrot slices that were like mini suns either setting or rising. I'm not big on zucchini. Of course, they were large cubes of them. Then, there were smaller broccoli florets that had spent more time in the soup and were mostly yellow. The mushrooms were small, but good. This soup would have been better if the veggies were more consistent in size and didn't have sneaky spices creeping up on me like a bad prank. The coconut milk and lemongrass flavours were decent. This small container of soup was $6.59. It wasn't worth the coughing fit that I had from it. I can get a giant, yummy version of it from my favourite Thai place in Whitchurch-Stouffville and not die from consuming it. Fresh pineapple fried rice. The fresh part should have made me think twice about ordering it. The protein sizes were inconsistent, like the veggies in the soup. The whole shrimp were generous in size. There was chicken, but you had to carefully find them because they were tiny. The pineapple were small cubes, and weren't as sweet or juicy than I had hoped for. The carrots were larger cubes. The peas were normal! This place was generous with supplying whole cashews. There was nothing Thai about this fried rice. It was more on the oily side and tasted like regular fried rice, but had a strong fish taste (it didn't seem like fish sauce at all, but something else) that made me deem it not yummy. I was expecting basil or something more fragrant. Nope, just a ton of fried rice that put me in a carb coma and I needed to reach for an antacid because I had oil for dinner. Regularly, this fried rice is $23.99. I don't feel that it's worth it. I would rather get yeung chow fried rice at a third of the price at a Chinese establishment and it would be far yummier. Needless to say, I am still on the search for a closer-to-home Thai restaurant that I like. Luckily, there are still Thai places that I enjoy, but have to drive a bit further to get decent grub. Perhaps I need to try something different off the menu, like curry. General Tao's chicken with rice doesn't see like authentic Thai to me, though. We'll see if I dare to return. (391)

3.5 Stars Review Steelestech | Parking garage (free 3hrs) | Chinese owned | Thai & Szechuan | Lunch Special | Dinner combo | Food app delivery | LLBO | Daily 11am-10pm | Card accepted First 3 hours of free parking garage parking available. Interior design is beautiful and clean; almost reminds me a lower grade of Lanna at downtown Markham. The servers spoke Cantonese and English and were nice and friendly. Their service reminds me a bit of HK style cafes. However they did mess up my orders a few times: - Gave me coconut soup instead of tom yum soup - Almost gave me chicken Pad See Ew instead of beef (but I corrected them) - Gave me regular rice when I asked for an upgrade to coconut rice - Almost didn't give me the dinner combo as the server thought it was weekdays only - I was also not offered fortune cookies Their drink menus don't list house wines by the glass but there were VQA Jackson's Trigg and Yellow Label for $8-9/ glass. The Dinner Combo on their paper menus state that it is $22.99 however the server said it's Monday to Friday only (I came on a Tuesday) and that it was $25.99. I did get the combo at the higher price as I mentioned that today is Tuesday and the menu doesn't say it's weekdays only. I did confirm on their website of the increased price. - Green curry with chicken Upgrade to coconut rice Coconut rice could be more coconuty .. wasn't flavourful enough The green curry could be spicier The bell peppers were still crunchy The chicken was your typical Overall it was ok, similar quality as what you'd get from any downtown Thai restaurant - Dinner Combo $25.99 Coconut veggie soup Chicken satay with green salad Pad See Ew with beef I did ask for Tom Yum soup but since they already said they made a mistake and gave me Coconut Soup, I just took it. It was ok. The broccoli could be softer. It seemed rather bland. The chicken satay meat was surprisingly not hard and dry like most skewers. But they could be a bit more generous on the meat. Their satay sauce was ok. Their Pad See Ew was not bad especially with their sauce. The noodles were still soft and tender. We almost expected broccoli instead of chinese broccoli. It wasn't too oily. Overall the plating was nice, I just didn't think anything really wow'd me and the fact that there were so many mistakes made my experience a bit uncomfortable. But I'll definitely come back for a second try; they were nice and I did come an hour before their closing hour. They did politely say thank you and goodbyes.

My first time trying Canadian Thai for lunch. The restaurant is very comfortable elegance & very spacious. Great service ....and if you are on a time crunch for lunch, the food came very quickly. They offer lunch specials and are very well priced starting at $11.99 and includes Hot and Sour Soup and Vegetable Spring Roll. The portions are generous. We ordered Pad Thai ($11.99) and Green Curry Chicken ($13.99) Both combos were delicious. I would definitely go back and try more dishes!

We had been to the old location, and now the new one on Steeles. Generally it is very good and staff are friendly too. Pricing is reasonable but certainly has increased per inflation over the last couple years. They can customize dishes for spice too, quick service for take out or dine in. The new location is much nicer inside for dine in so its got a good atmosphere. They usually offer a cash discount as well. Enjoy!

I do not think this is the best food option for Thai food in Markham. If this was the only option it is good, but there are much better places than this one in the area. The pad Thai was pretty ketchupy and the sticky mango wasn't cut, they just put the mango with the peel on the plate... which I found kind of weird as usually the mango is peeled. The chicken satay was really good.

I love this place because it's so close to where I live if I'm craving thai food. During the lockdown I got takeout from here almost every week. I finally got the chance to dine in recently and the food quality was still there. My favourites to get are the Panang curry with chicken, satay skewers, and pad see ew. This time around I also tried the coconut soup and mango salad - both very delicious. Looking forward to try something new on the menu next time :)

Had a great dinner here. The interior decor is really nice and the place is super cozy yet spacious. We had the red curry and it was super delicious with good portions. I'm also a huge fan of their satay skewers (the sauce was so good).

They used to be located on Leslie & John, and have relocated to Steeles & Woodbine in the newly developed plaza by the Tangerine building. I loved the beautiful interior inside as it gave a classy, yet comfortable vibe. The service was great as our server was very accommodating when I needed to snap photos, and was also very welcoming and polite to not just me, but the other customers as well. Their menu offers a good selection of classic Thai dishes, as well as some Szechuan fares as well. The food came out fairly quick, and the portion sizes were very reasonable for the price. Everything we ordered was delicious, and my favorite was the Thai Coconut Shrimp Soup! It was creamy and had strong hints of coconut! They have takeout and delivery available as well, so be sure to give them some love if you're in the area!

We ordered medium spicy for the papaya salad and it only had a slight kick. I wished the salad portion was more as it was gone pretty quickly. It comes with shrimp chips, pork rinds, and 2 small bundles of rice noodles. The dried shrimp in the salad was very chewy though, which made it a bit less enjoyable. I ended up picking them all out. We ordered spicy for the pad gra prow but it wasn't spicy at all. I think you can ask for the Thai chilis/ Thai chili fish sauce thing on the side but we decided we were fine with no spicy. Unfortunately the crispy pork was not crispy at all and was also very chewy. Overall it was still delicious! The Khao soi mightve honestly been the least favorite, but it was still good. It is on the sweeter side. The egg noodles were cooked al dente and had a nice chew. Sometimes when I get Khao soi it ends up being too heavy or creamy, but the curry for this one was thinner and easy to eat. The shrimp was the best part - super fresh and bouncy. In the end I thought the portions and quality were good. The service was also super nice, and it was impressive to see our waitress cover so many tables. The restrooms were also clean.

Originally, our table was only reserved until 8:00 p.m.--the exact time I finally arrived. Thankfully, with the help of our incredible server, Savanna N., everything worked out. Her professionalism, warmth, and willingness to help truly made the evening possible. More than anything, I hoped the wait would be worthwhile for my friends, who were visiting for the first time. I'm happy to say they absolutely loved it--especially the outstanding hospitality and customer service. A huge thank you to Savanna and the entire team for making us feel so welcome. As for the food, every dish was delicious. Nothing disappointed. The papaya salad was such a hit that we ordered it twice. The Beef Massaman Curry, Crispy Lao Spiced Chips, Banana Leaf Steamed Fish, and the seasonal Vermicelli Noodle in Chicken Coconut Red Curry were all exceptional.
