I asked her advice on cremation services because it is February and the ground is frozen. She highly recommended Royal Pet. I called them to explain my situation and I spoke with both Earl and Kathy (the owners). They were extremely professional, patient, and kind answering all of my questions because I was clueless on the process. We made the arrangements and I traveled with my dog to Wilmington. I wanted a private cremation. Earl met us there and took care of everything. I was impressed with how clean and professional the building was. I felt like I was in a scaled down, simpler funeral home for pets. Earl was very helpful and understanding of my "state". I wasn't quite with it. I felt very comfortable hearing how they came to be in this business, going through the ugly, dark process themselves when they lost a beloved animal. They saw a need for a respectful and ethical option. That is truly what they have created with this business. You can just immediately feel that they are going to treat you and your animal's "remains" respectfully. I cannot believe there are no other reviews for this place on here already. If you have the misfortune of needing this type of service, I cannot recommend them highly enough. They made such a dark day in my life a bit easier to deal with.

I was devastated and upset but that doesn't give them the right to take advantage of the situation. I noticed that this man and woman actually had an old car and "racing fuel" sitting literally right beside the cremation machine. This can't be safe and I wish I would of never met these individuals. I was trying to cope and deal with a heartbreaking situation- they gave my family and I unnecessary stress and frustration. I miss my buddy every day and every day I can't wait for them to get the Karma they deserve. The county stated they didn't have a valid licence and the facility was not up to code.

After driving the 2 miles back to my home, my elderly dog was bleeding profusely and the source of the blood was challenging to find. An emergency vet visit revealed his front canine tooth was shattered and there was a large laceration on his tongue. Per my vet, this injury occurs with impact. Only after 3 conversations did the groomer reveal she had both my dogs on an elevated table alone at once and my senior dog "may have" hit his face or head because the groomer was 'worked up'. I could explain in depth the attitude of the groomer, the lack of professionalism from the business, and the troubling way this was mismanaged but the details aren't necessary. I hesitate to post the pictures of his injuries because they're gruesome. In the end I was put in touch with their insurance company as requested for reimbursement for my dog's extensive vet bills and I believe that his vet services will be reimbursed. That being said, this in no way accounts for an unavoidable injury for Todd. I thought I was going to lose him given the volume of blood and his age. I would not bring any animal to a business that operates with such blatant disregard for the safety of the pets in their care.
