If you are an animal owner/lover, I would strongly advise against using Tail Waggers Pet Spa. I would not bring any animal here. To condense my pet's traumatic experience - The business was apparently experiencing a staff shortage, knowingly attempted to trim both of my dog's nails in an unsafe manner, and did not inform me of any injury. After driving the 2 miles back to my home, my elderly dog was bleeding profusely and the source of the blood was challenging to find. An emergency vet visit revealed his front canine tooth was shattered and there was a large laceration on his tongue. Per my vet, this injury occurs with impact. Only after 3 conversations did the groomer reveal she had both my dogs on an elevated table alone at once and my senior dog "may have" hit his face or head because the groomer was 'worked up'. I could explain in depth the attitude of the groomer, the lack of professionalism from the business, and the troubling way this was mismanaged but the details aren't necessary. I hesitate to post the pictures of his injuries because they're gruesome. In the end I was put in touch with their insurance company as requested for reimbursement for my dog's extensive vet bills and I believe that his vet services will be reimbursed. That being said, this in no way accounts for an unavoidable injury for Todd. I thought I was going to lose him given the volume of blood and his age. I have been going here for years and have always been very happy with their services. But since they moved to Grayling crest, I think they've improved with everything even more. They're spectacular! The staff is wonderful, very accommodating. And the groomers do a great job! They offer a number of extra services and are all around a great business! read more

I have been taking my dog here since I got her in 2016. They usually do a great job, but since they've moved the service isn't as good. I called in yesterday to cancel an appointment and was told, since I didn't cancel within 48 hours, I would have to pay for 2 haircuts! NOBODY EVER TOLD ME YOU HAD TO CALL AND CANCEL WITHIN 48 HOURS!! That's $170 for my dog to return. This is an awful practice. The prices are already ridiculous, but to have to pay for 2 haircuts is even more ridiculous, your using people now to help pay for your new salon. I'm going to find another groomer. It's a shame, since I've been a customer for so long. My dog has also received messed up haircuts, but we still stayed with them. SMH!!! read more

I've used this groomer before and was happy because I know my dogs can be difficult. because of this I took them again in 8 weeks to get then used to being there. they are both under 10 lbs. I was told they did great and when I got home I realized they charged me $85 apiece so $170.00. this was for a 8 week trim (that was no different then when I took them in) when I called thinking they had made an honest mistake I was told I got what I asked for and was dismissed. Is of all I don't like being dismissed and you don't treat customers that way.I am not cheap when it comes to my babies but don't like to be taken advantage of. I have been taking my dogs here for years and never had a problem. Last 3 years since covid they started taking cash only , which now has been a problem , i can't always get to the bank to get cash out and they are not accommodating to allowing half cash / debit/ credit . Claiming they do not have a debit/credit card machine . Now they can run there business any way they choose , but it is not convenient for me or im sure others . Shocking that they allowed to give up 2 dogs haircuts at 170$ over this situation i had to cancel my appointment cause my bank was closed and couldn't get all the money in cash to them . So after years of service they just lost 2 dogs / customer due to this . I need a place that has other payment methods. Or a place that values a long time customer which is certainly not here . read more

We took our cat here to get groomed. He's a long hair maine coon who doesn't even let us brush him so he really needed it. They gave him a lion cut and he turned out great. The price was a little more than I was expecting but I was still happy to pay it for the great service. 85 for the cut and grooming plus 15 for claw caps. The workers were very friendly and loved my cat. Will come again when my cat needs another grooming! read more

We have been going to tailwaggers for about 3 years. Was never good but never awful. Today however was beyond awful. First i show up to an abandoned store front, i was unaware that they had changed location (website and google both display the incorrect/old address) so i called and they provided me with the new address 5 minutes up the road. The new location is in a run down shopping center that i felt unsafe getting out of my car in. No big deal, i drop my dog off tell her just a trim and that last time it was too short and to make sure it stays on the fluffy longer side, then say they will call me when he is done. 3 hours later (my guess 2 hours in a cage and 60 minute hair cut) They call me to pick him up. I show up and my Pomeranian is shaved with long hair on his legs and tail. Lion cut maybe? I have no idea. He looks naked, unevenly cut, no hair left around his face and like a completely different dog. I try to stay calm knowing people make mistakes and its a small business... but i am furious. In tears I try and figure out what happened! I ask for a businesscard but they didnt have any left... i told them how upset, angry, disappointed and mad i was that this had happened, they just apologized basically saying that the groomer who did him must have been given the wrong hair cut information. So $65 later i have a rat looking fluffy tail creature that looks like an 8 year old cut. We will not be back! read more

First time using this place ... they did a very crappy job. Choppy cut uneven by an inch on top of his head. Spots shaved almost to the skin on his butt and back of the neck. Nails barely trimmed. Plus he was a bit skittish when we got him back so who knows what they did with him to hold him down for the cut. Cash only should've told me something. Don't go there! read more

This is the place for your pampered pooch. They treat your dog the way you treat your dog. I found this groomer after I could no longer stand the way my grand dog was treated by one of those big pet chains that was suppose to love your pet. They treated her like she had the plaque. I admit she's large, frisky, and an American pitbull. She has never bitten anyone, loves to play, and loves people. The staff at Tail Waggers are great with her. Jen (the dog whi****), and the staff are really good with her. She actually loves going there. They recently did pet sitting for our dog. She came home clean, happy, and calm. Truly, they work wonders with your pet. Give them a try. You won't regret it. If you don't care for your current pet groomer or dog sitter, this is the place for you. read more

I've been taking my shi tzu Brooklyn to Tailwaggers since she was a small pup. The staff here are very nice and patient. Every time Brooklyn goes for a cut she leaves looking nice and has the cut I asked for. They do a wonderful job trimming her in all of the hard to reach places as well lol. First off I've never had a problem with them until today! When I got there at my scheduled time it was 8:45 and the scheduled time was 9:00 I asked how long they would be and the girl SUE said 3-4 hours. Which I think is ridiculous and when I asked why so long she said the groomer wasn't there yet! And tried to explain what I wanted done with my Shih Tzu/ Lhasa mix and the whole time I was talking she didn't pay me any mind which was a huge red flag because when someone is telling you what they want done you pay attention but she could care less I even showed a picture! She barely said anything and completely blew me off. Now my boxer\ridge back was ONLY THERE FOR A BATH no nails no ears no nothing JUST A BATH. (btw was 40 dollars) I told the lady sue that I cut his nails earlier and not to touch them. Flash forward to pick up my dog was not cut the way I asked and my boxers nail were cut way to short which I knew was the girl sues fault cuz I told her she just chose not to listen and when I went to pay I payed with cash and with card, just to be told they weren't using cards and when I told them I wasn't informed the girl sue said I believe I told you....... BITCH YOU DIDNT SAY ANYTHING TO ME ... this made me extremely furious my dogs are my world and grooming is simple if you make your customers happy. My advice for the business owner .. fire sue and hire someone that loves their job! We brought our dog here a few months ago, my boyfriend picked her up, and when I got home I saw that she still had matted knots behind her ears and it looked like they didn't trim her up at all. I contacted them and let them know I was unsatisfied and they told me I could bring her back in, but I had never found the time to. Flash forward to this week and we decided to try them again. I told them not to take too much length off of her hair and they told me that was fine. Later in the day I got a phone call that said they had to go shorter than what I wanted but it would still be half of the length she originally was, I said that was fine. However, when I picked her up she was basically shaved down and it's very uneven; there's chunks of hair that are longer than others and stick out. It looks like her hair was butchered. After seeing some of the reviews I would have expected better. I will NEVER be taking my poor baby back there and I DO NOT recommend going here. read more

We have been taking our golden retriever, Matilda, here for about a year. The staff is super nice and friendly and Matilda looks wonderful after every visit. We had previously taken her to a few other grooming places before we discovered tail waggers and since will go nowhere else. I used to love this place. Taken my dogs there for years and never had an issue. I took my puppies there this past week and one of them came back with several cuts on her. A gash on the pad of her back paw and two gashes like she was shaved so close her skin was taken off on her front leg. And another scratch on her head. All of which bled. They told me that puppies have a tendency to move a lot and that they had no idea of the cuts. I'm so sad about this bc it used to be a great place. Now I'm never going back again. Not to mention, they lost my file and had no idea of my appointment which I made over the phone. Horrible and unprofessional. read more
