I've been a resident of the MOT area for 13 years and have been dedicated to my cat groomer because I have a long haired Himalayan that requires grooming every 6 months or so. To my surprise when I called my regular groomer they said because of staff shortages & such that their earliest appointment wasn't for three months. I scrabbled to google groomers in the area & although a bit skeptical I gave them a call. Needless to say, the staff was very polite & efficient. I arrived on time to meet the owner Caitlin who was pleasant and assured me of her experience and understood exactly what I expected from the grooming service. The establishment was clean & smelled fresh. Upon picking up my cat she was in her carrier and ready to go. She was nicely blown out, soft & a bit of matting removed. UPDATE: Anthony was the primary groomer and I loved his work and attention to details. Shortly after I wrote this review the business blew up and I no longer had the one on one attention I was used to. I asked for Molly and Tito to be cut a specific way like he had originally done but when I picked the pups up they looked nothing like I asked. Turns out other groomers do the cutting and Anthony supervises is what I'm told. I tried calling several times to address my concerns but never got a call back. As of today I would give 3 stars. I thought I found my forever groomer and sadly did not. I have not taken them back for almost a year. I plan on trying to call again and see if my concerns will be addressed. read more

I usually go to a groomer in Wilmington and it's $12 to cut my pups nails and finish with a dremel. Being new to the area, I called for an appointment and was informed they don't do mail clipping ala carte, it's only available with a grooming service. I agreed to the lowest price service that included nail clipping, even though I just gave the dog a bath the night before. When she was finished the total was almost $50, the nails were barely cut and they said they couldn't smooth the nails because the tool was broken, so the only thing I brought her in for wasn't done properly. Overall pretty bummed for the quality of service, I'd love to frequent this small business but paying 4x as much for more than I need doesn't make sense. I'd travel back to Wilmington for my old or to Middletown Petco in a pinch. That said, the people working there were very nice and they were able to take my dog for a walk-in appointment on a Saturday. Not sure if the rates are higher on the weekends. read more

We have been going to Paws and People too since they opened. My Pompoo loves it there and she was the initial client. She hates grooming but they are really good with her. Even better when the management changed. The store is an oasis now. I decided to take my huskies there. They did an awesome job with them too. They came home happy. Today I am taking 3 of my 4 huskies to get descended. They got sprayed 3 weeks ago and I washed them numerous times. But when they get wet they still stink really bad. They are swimmers. I bought de-skunk shampoo. But it smells pretty bad itself. I hope they can get them smelling good again read more

1st time here-Service was great gave both my boys cute cuts, just as I requested. Picked the dogs up neither were anxious or stressed out as when I normally pick them up from their old groomers. They were super excited to play & see other dogs while waiting. All around great experience. Love the no cage idea. Prices were competitive & comparable. 10%off our 1st time was great too. Sadly, it is not the same since Anthony left. I dropped my dogs off at 10am, and as we speak, almost 8pm, and they are nowhere near ready. I missed a wake because of this, and when I tried to give feedback, instead of listening and even being somewhat sorry, they yelled at ME for not informing them I had a wake to attend .... TONIGHT. Why would even think I'd have to tell them that. Then whenever I tried to reply, they screamed at me as if I were in the wrong. THEY also blamed me for having 3 dogs and I need to understand that it should take 12 hours??? They were the first dogs in there, so so why are they thr last to leave. Bottom line, now called Showtime Grooming, they are the most unprofessional grooming salon I have ever been to, and I will never ever return. I have previously tipped extremely well, but I will not bring my most prized possessions to a place like this. Ever again. They do not care about customers at all. Avoid them. I love this place. Every time we go, my dog can't wait to get out of the car and runs right in. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and I love the cage free atmosphere. My dog loves to get right in and meet all of his new friends. He hates having his nails trimmed and hasn't always been the most eager doggy for that, but Anthony and his staff have gone above and beyond to find a way to get the job done in a way that my dog feels safe and calm. I cannot thank them enough for taking such great care of my fur baby!! He looks like a million bucks when he leaves. read more

I scheduled my black lab to have a bath and nail trim. The grooming part was very well done. Unfortunately the next evening I discovered my dog had a few puncture wounds from bites. My dog was seen by his vet today to confirm it was really dog bites. And it was. I was not informed that my dog has experienced physical aggression from another dog. I will NOT be back. Now it makes sense as to why my dog refused to come out of the kennel at the groomer. He clearly suffered a bite. I was told it was because he was scared of the blow dryer. This was my dogs first time ever going to a groomer. This is ashame. read more
