Probably won't ever go back unless it's with a group of friends and we just feel like blowing a lot of money. I feel terrible for parents because a couple of kids could easily burn through $50 in a couple of hours here.

Single player here and not looking to join a league, but let me share my experience with this store. Jim and Mike were working. I had already had a price in my head with what I wanted to spend. They offer a package deal for around $170, but because I wanted a little better ball, I was able to upgrade for a little more. My finger measurements were accurate, I was in and out in less than an hour. But I really enjoyed talking to these two gentlemen. They aren't trying to upsell you with stuff you don't need. They have a passion for bowling and it shows. If you think you can get a better deal on Amazon, you are wrong. You won't get the service that you would at the store. You would still have to bring your ball in for them to drill, so whatever you think you saved, you would actually he in the negative with all costs combined. This store has everything a bowler needs! Not to mention the experience and dedication that Jim and Mike showed me. There is a reason customers make long drives to come here. They offer great hours and are usually closed only on Sundays, but check for holidays as they might close also. The only small downside is the parking lot is tight and not a lot of spots, but with the service, who cares? Another small thing, they didn't send me home with a shoe box, a bowling bowl box and the bowling bag wasn't in plastic. DO NOT USE THIS CPA SERVICE! I'm not prone to taking the time to write reviews however in this case…read moreI decided it was worth the effort. I'm a small business owner. I started my business in 2010 and sought accounting and tax preparation as a result. At the time I started doing business the accounting company was called Bowling and Franklin. I retained their services around 2010 or 11. I dealt with the same CPA for the entire time, originally at an office on 610 in North Stafford and later at the main office in Fredericksburg at 1207 Charles Street. Every year since starting to do business with BF they filled an extension for me. At some point the business was renamed Bishop Farmer & CO. This past year in 2024 I went through the same process with the CPA as in previous years. I provided my 1099s, W2s and all pertinent tax information, they prepared the federal and state returns, I signed them just like the previous 14 years of taxes. This year I was assessed a late payment fee by the IRS for estimated taxes of $180. I have never been assessed any late payment or filing fee in all the previous years of doing business with Bishop Farmer. I paid the fee and consulted with my CPA. I was told it was a software glitch with some accounting software in use by the CPA that it should have been caught. My filing fee with B&F was $500. I don't think its unreasonable to reduce the bill to offset the IRS fee, especially considering it was a software glitch on the part of the CPA and not to mention over 10 years of doing business with this firm. They agreed to reduce the fee. I paid the $319 to BF and as far as I was concerned this matter was closed. Apparently, Bishop Farmer felt differently as they sent me a letter via snail mail indicating that they would no longer do business with me and that I should seek other accounting services. Considering the long history of business together and the fact that this nominal fee was assessed due to an issue on the part of the CPA this is unreasonable and totally unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business.

Perhaps other CPAs might be better but I found out this year by another CPA that this firm's CPA…read more(initial LL) completely ripped me off and didn't do much to help me getting my deductions right. I had some complicated cases with house sale but I did most job to get all the information together and as we all know, CPAs can use their professional software to sort things out these days. Now, I got bill of $1250!!! even after I told her that I wouldn't be able to pay more than $600 since that was the highest quote I got from other CPAs. I told the firm secretary that I wouldn't pay anything more than $600 since that was what I told the CPA and I don't see the reason for paying double of what I told her to pay. The worst part is that a new CPA I found this year said very little deduction was made last year even if I gave the list of expenses to this firm's CPA, so I ended up paying additional tax and he needs to fix this this year. I will never work with this firm again. One good thing that I got from working with this firm is that now I review all Tax return thoroughly to make sure all necessary deductions are filed in correctly.

The arcade games are pretty expensive and they blew through the $15 in less than 15 mins. The mini golf course was short and compacted on the main floor so the courses were not as fancy or intricate as some larger outdoor mini golf courses. The boys finished all 18 holes in less than 30 mins all by themselves. The laser tag was fun too. The vests were pretty big and heavy and it looked so big our littlest guy but he held his own. It seemed crowded when the summer camp group of kids were there, but when they all left, it wasn't crowded at all. Coming from LA, where anything fun is crowded, it was nice to not have to wait in long lines. We wanted to try the laser maze, but it wasn't working. The workers were all teenagers, and the manager guy looked maybe early 20's but they were all helpful. It was fun to spend a couple hours in the hot afternoon being indoors.

It told us that we could purchase a certain amount of items and get a certain amount off after that. Since we were in the mood to have a few drinks and enjoy ourselves we decided to drop by there and see about Box Seats even though we had never been there. We arrived relatively early...6:30 or so, and went into the restaurant/bar area and had a seat. We told the waitress that we were out for our anniversary and wanted to sit for a while, have a nice meal, a couple of drinks and enjoy ourselves. We said, "we saw that you are advertised on restaurant.com, and it is offering a gift card if we spend a certain amount. While it doesn't specifically say alcohol is not included, we just wanted to make sure it was okay to purchase this gift card and have a few drinks and a meal and you would honor it. " She said she had never seen this restaurant.com gift certificate before because she was new, but she would be happy to find out. We said that that would be fine, and she could ask her manager, and we'd check back with her soon. We then proceeded to go out to the "gaming area" where we played a couple of games of hoops & ski ball and got some tickets to get a couple of little toys via tickets for our kids. We then, about 30 minutes later, went back into Box Seats to have our meal. We asked her if she had found out if alcohol was included (even though it should have been via the gift certificate) and she confirmed that it was. We then ordered an appetizer sampler, and then each got a burger-type meal. My wife had two mixed drinks, and I enjoyed 3 cold beers while we enjoyed our anniversary and watched some football on the televisions. The waitress/bartender was very nice and we had nice conversations with her. The entire experience, service-wise, was very nice. And then "manager" Matt entered the picture. He started off by informing us that they could not accept our gift certificate via our smart phone app, even though the waitress had initially said that she could (and we specifically asked). He said they had a printer set up that we could go to and print off the gift certificate. So, even though we were ready to leave, we had to be embarrassed by this manager who is contradicting what his waitress told us. After going through the trouble of printing the gift certificate, and we were ready to leave again, "manager" Matt told us the gift certificate was not valid because it couldn't be used to purchase alcohol. I told him that not only did the certificate not indicate that, but the waitress had told us it was okay. He said that because it said, in the fine print, "subject to laws of the state" that he couldn't allow it. He said he is not allowed to have a discount on alcohol in the state of Virgina. Two things about this: 1. I was sitting right next to a sign that said, "75 cent PBR every Wednesday" ... something tells me that is a discount on alcohol. 2. This isn't a DISCOUNT on alcohol, it is a GIFT CERTIFICATE. It said right at the top GIFT CERTIFICATE. In fact, go to restaurant.com yourself and see what the main page says - GIFT CERTIFICATE. Could you imagine if you had an Applebee's gift card, and they said you couldn't purchase alcohol on it? The entire thing is absurd. Therefore, it was a gift certificate and should have been honored, BUT EVEN IF NOT, the fact remains that his waitress said it was okay. The fact that it wasn't honored makes this manager, and this restaurant LIARS who tell their customers they will honor a certificate and then AFTER PURCHASES ARE MADE, say that they will NOT honor them. Not only is that unethical, but it is illegal. I have reached out to them in person, via e-mail, via telephone, and via certified USPS mail. They refuse to respond to me or acknowledge me. Until my money is refunded, and an apology is issued for the way we were treated, they will never stop hearing from me.

Dear reader, I had a…read morework event at Pinstripes in Georgetown and had a thoroughly good time. The location is a lovely, canal-side spot, with plenty of parking nearby and a very walkable area that makes arriving and lingering equally easy. Inside, there is loads of space for bowling and bocce, so the whole place feels lively without becoming chaotic. The food also held its own, which is not always guaranteed at a venue built for group fun. The flatbread pizzas and Caesar salad were both superb and kept everyone pleasantly satisfied. There were multiple bars, which helped the afternoon move along nicely, and the employees were exceptionally kind and attentive throughout. For a work event, it struck a very pleasing balance of organised, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable. Overall, Pinstripes made for a charming outing with enough space, food, and activity to keep the whole party happy indeed afterward.
