We are locals and love tenderloins and saw a review for this place so we thought we'd give it a try. Its on the opposite side of town from us but trust me... it was worth the drive. The tenderloin was spiced perfectly which i personally feel this is a gap where places fall short. They don't season their flour. This place does it perfect! Perfect thickness, fried for the right amount of time... on a toasted bun served with lettuce/tom/onion and mayo. So good! I wished i had taken a pic but it looked so good i couldn't wait! It didn't quite capture the essence of a jalapeño popper though. Service was quick and the restaurant was very cozy. It is a typical sports bar. Kudos to the staff at this restaurant for accommodating our large family party on the patio. Despite the blowing snow and cold temperatures we were toasty warm with the nice firepit and heaters going. They even brought in an extra table for us so we had plenty of seating. We all ordered a variety of entrees and the waitstaff was attentive and somehow kept it all straight. There were good reviews for the wood-fired pizza, pretzel breadsticks, potato skins, kickin' shrimp, fish and chips, and breaded tenderloin sandwich. The menu has alittle bit of everything. We stopped in on Mother's Day and they brought out a rose for my mom at the end of the meal. So sweet! Both the host and server were super friendly. We tried the pizza stuffed pretzel as an appetizer. It was covered in cheese and looked so good. I got a burger and baked beans for my meal which was fine. My beautiful wife & I needed some lunch so we decided to hit Main St. Grille since we haven't been there in a long time. Suffice to say we weren't disappointed at all! We seated ourselves & met our waitress Halley who did an awesome job covering several tables on addition to ours. We started with warm pretzels & cheese sauce ( sorry no pictures). We both thought they & the cheese was very tasty. My wife had the tenderloin & Cole slaw. She thought both were very good & definitely done there. My pizza was a very good wood fired creation. We were greeted immediately after entering the restaurant. It was a very busy Saturday, but we quickly had drinks and menus. This place has a family friendly sports bar vibe with a very friendly staff. They have a wood pizza oven that I really need to try. My kids had cheese burgers that they really enjoyed. Got take out. It is nice inside. They waited on me as soon as I walked in. We ordered 1 small and one large pizza. It didn't give me the wow factor I was looking for after seeing pictures. The crust was a little burnt and "cracker crust style. I'm more of a hand toss or pan style person. The topping were fine. I do appreciate they were friendly and made their pizza from scratch, I just didn't feel it was a worth $47. I did see some delicious looking food other customers were eating. I've been dropping by the MSG for a little bit over 5 years and it hits the spot every time. They actually make their own pizza and cook it to perfection. The rest of the menu should be work well for most people. They have a nice selection of sandwiches and salads plus pastas and dinner entrees. The quality is always good but not great. The service has always been friendly and prompt. I find the MSG to be one of those nice family owned joints that will last as long as they want and have no fear of the big guys. read more

Was there last night July 11 around 8 pm. Waitress was pleasant and pretty good with taking our orders and getting drinks. After she served us the food she went MIA. We ran out of drinks and waited and waited, finally asked the other waitress and bartender to get us some drinks. Which they did. Waited and finally had to ask for our bill, the waitress brought it and again went MIA. We could see her in the back playing on her phone. We asked the bartender if we could pay her and she came over and got our bill and cashed us out. The bar was not at all busy, so it wasn't like the waitress is getting overworked. I ordered the Speghetti with Meat Balls. The meat balls had no seasoning whatsoever and the meat was cheap quality. The booths sink down when you sit on them from heavy wear and tear. We ordered appetizers which included Ranch sauce. I told my waitress that I had a dairy allergy. She was very nice and said she would bring me a few different sauces to try out. I thought that was very nice of her until I got the bill and realized I was charged for each one. That should have been disclosed to me beforehand. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, too bad the food wasn't good. There were also fruit flies flying around our food. It was my first time here. Upon arrival notice the sign on the inside door that says "Please Seat Yourself." I elected to sit at the empty eight seat full bar in the back. There is also outdoor seating available. They do have what looks like a very nice pizza oven available just inside the main door. And there are plenty of screens tuned into a variety of sports with one of the largest screens right above the server's station between the pizza oven and entrance to the restrooms. The bar sign advertises they have Local Craft Drafts on hand. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak minus the mushrooms which comes with a cup of Au Jus on the side. I also ordered the Potato Salad as my side. Both were exactly as I wished for and expected. The sandwich was hot with plenty of well cooked steak meat and plenty of melted cheese on a fresh bread bun. The potato salad was equally excellent. It was just like your grandmother's recipe. The service was excellent, prompt attention throughout the meal plus quick delivery of the food. This places seems to be very popular. We choose this spot for a meet up with friends as it seemed to have something for everyone, and we were curious about their wood fire pizzas. Upon entering there is a sign to seat yourself so you can find the option that works best for your party. We have a bigger group so they put two tables together for us. They also have booths and a bar seating area. It isn't a huge space so it was a tad crowded but doable. They have multiple screens playing with various sporting events going on so if you want a quiet spot this isn't the best option, but it was a fun lively spot which is what we were craving. Our waitress was amazing and juggled our changing requests as well as our friend who has dementia and kept ordering over and over. She was super kind and gracious and for that alone we would re-visit this spot! The menu is typical bar/grill type food but they do have amazing tenderloins and pizzas and many salad options. We got the breaded mushrooms which I loved as they weren't too greasy or overly breaded but crunchy and full of flavor. Our table got a Reuben, pizzas and a tenderloin, plus a Greek salad. Of those options which were all good the tenderloin eater was raving the most. He said it was by far the best he has ever eaten! My Greek salad was full of a variety of flavors and came with tzaziki sauce and a large price of pita bread for dipping. This spot has a typical local corner grill feel but the quality of service and yummy food definitely elevates it. Our friends proclaimed they would return again and since it is close for all of us I'm sure we will indeed try it soon. read more

Main Street Grille is a Southside staple. It is locally owned and operated. It's right off 65 and has plenty of parking. If you don't find parking in the front, there is overflow parking in the back. They have their own wood fired oven for pizzas. My go-to orders would be: fried ravioli, pretzel breadsticks, kickin' shrimp, jalapeño popper pizza, chicken wings, pulled pork platter, or the patty melt. The service is usually very good. The owner is always walking around to make sure everything is running smoothly. We love coming here and I would definitely recommend trying it out. read more

I finally made it here and it was worth the wait. The restaurant has dining area, bar and patio seating. The bar is a full service bar. They have an extensive menu that includes salads, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, phillys and wings to name a few of their items. The run daily drink and food specials, most notable $2 Tuesday and Thursday where they have $2 beers. There is a decent sized private parking lot there for you to park your vehicle. You will see chopped wood outside the restaurant for the wood stove that you will see when you first walk in. It had the place smelling real good. That is the oven they cook their pizzas in. It is probably not one of its intended uses, but it really put off some good heat. The bar and dining area have televisions where you can watch sports on.The staff there is very friendly and attentive. I never had to ask to get my drink refilled. My server had another drink at my table at the same time I was finishing the one I was working on. After sorting through the menu, I decided to go with the the chicken parmesan sandwich with fries. It did not take a lot of time for me to get my meal. I would say about 8 minutes or so and I was going to town. The chicken breast was huge. It dwarfed the bread. It was very flavorful and delicious. I am still thinking about it as I am writing this review. It was also very filling. It was the only meal that I needed that day. This is a very nice joint to get a drink and a bite to eat. Found Main Street Grille on Yelp while looking for a local place near our hotel to try out. Stopped in late on a Saturday night following a couple of baseball games, so we were dressed pretty casual, but we fit right in. It was a good mix of casual and date night casual attire. Super busy but we were greeted and seated immediately. Not super loud, but they do have a pub vibe with music and a bar, so expect it to not be super quiet. Service was great and fast. Good menu selections. They offer a full bar, so we tried the strawberry margaritas. They were good! We had the pretzel sticks to start. Then we ordered a large Main Street Supremo pizza and a small pepperoni pizza. Everything was delicious. For pizza sizes, they only offer a small and a large. In this case, the small was about 8 inches. The large was about 16 inches. When in doubt, get the large! You won't regret the leftovers. We would definitely visit again and try other items. We were in town for a kid's athletic competition and were staying in Greenwood. We found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try based on their reviews and menu. While we had already eaten downtown Indy at some very nice places, this place hit home for us and was our favorite food the whole weekend. The pretzel breadsticks were recommended by our server and they were awesome. Great flavor and airy, not too doughy or heavy. They came with cheese sauce which was great. We also ordered the Greek Flatbread. We thought it might be served warm like most flatbreads, but this was served cold and was basically a gyro salad on a pita. Very fresh and tasty. Would order again. Finally we ordered a small Boston Special pizza. Wood fired pizza with an amazing crunchy crust. The pepperoni slices were thin sliced but big in size. Also a good choice. The owner checked on every table to make sure all was good, and the wait staff was great. This is a great local establishment and has a good following based on the crowd we saw there. We were super impressed with this place and have already told some fellow friends that are also in town about it. I don't think you'll be disappointed by the food here. A great place! A cute little corner shop with a pizza oven front and center. The food is great, especially, obviously, their pizza. Though don't miss out on the appetizers. We had the Pretzel Breadsticks with dipping cheese. These buttery salty pretzel breadsticks are hot and soft and incredible and the cheese was creamy, tasted great and was the perfect match. We got pizzas ( I got the meat pizza with multiple meats and my wife got a veggie pizza.) They have tons of different pizzas or make your own. They are crispy with plenty of toppings and lots of sauce and cheese. With the great Brick oven taste, these pizzas can't be beat! Another great part to this place is the gentleman who works the pizza oven and welcomes everyone to the restaurant. I think he is the owner and always seems to be there. He makes sure all issues are taken care of. My only knock on the place was that a few times we have been there, our server hasn't always been on the ball or didn't handle the small issues quickly. I lived across the street from this gem for a year and it took moving away to find it. It admittedly doesn't look like a lot when you're driving by, but it's got a cozy warmth to it when you're inside. Super nice guy who I learned is the owner greets you, so this is a real local operation. Everyone in our group got something different, but we shared pretzel sticks (a must try) and everyone's meal looked incredible. Personally I tried the flatbread, which was more of a giant taco on a pita than what I expected, but absolutely delicious. Ok first off, if I could give a 3.5 I would and I will be coming back to try some other items off the menu that sounded good and I want to try the pizza. First the negatives, unfortunately, the French Onion Soup wasn't super flavorful and the potato salad seemed bought and not homemade but I can't truly prove that. I just know I've made better potato salad at home. The bread choice on the chicken parm wasn't the best, it fell apart. The positives, the actual chicken was delicious and the breading was perfect and stood up to the sauce. The best tasting thing was definitely the marinara sauce! Onion rings had a brown oil seeping from then also. Old grease. There was literally a small sliver of cheese on it. They clearly have no idea when they should dump their grease and use new.
