I had oreviously been seen by Dr. Lee who has retired. Dr. Lee did not seem overbooked and was prompt. Scheduled my appointment for today with Dr. Ward. After having my eyes dilated I wound up in a small sitting room with 4 other people. They all had been waiting a lengthy amount of time. They took the next patient up who had been sitting there an HOUR! Three people now ahead of me. I decided it was not ok to wait around in this small waiting room and be treated as if my time was not valued. By the time anyone ( Dr. Ward) would see me the drops would have worn off and I eould be ditting for krngthy time. Y I have seen this type of backup in other doctors offices in Henderson and other states where I previously resided it. . It is over scheduling with no consideration to patients' time. Frankly, I have seen this in other cities in in other states. It starts to seem that patients' time is disregarded. Your time is being disregarded and is not treated as valuable. This type of scheduling is packing in as many patients as possible with patient time not regarded as being important. Also the time of any family member who drives you there and will drive you home as your vision is hampered from the drops. Your time is as valuable as a physician. It is insulting to be treated as less-than and just another number where your co-pay is taken and your insurance is going to be billed. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS LACK OF REGARD. And should you walk out because of the poor service and pathetic planning/ over scheduling do not permit the office to bill your insurance. This just keeps jacking up insurance costs. Either they bring in other doctors or adjust their schedule to be reasonable rather than be greedy. I will be letting my insurance carrier know I did not receive the proper medical service despite they took my $20.00 co-pay. read more

I would highly recommend this place. The doctors is exceptional, and my husband had a very serious possible retina detachment and he called and he was able to get any immediately which is exactly what you need when you're dealing with such a delicate issue. read more

Questionable ability in the office . Had 2 macular degeneration shots in the past 8 months, that were painful for quite a few hours afterward and also had very blurry eye with the last procedure. . Prior shots at Nevada Retina Center were given by Dr was Dr. George Par and never has an issue with him. DR. George has changed office, and is now at Desert Retina. I will make the switch to use Dr George Par . read more

Nevada Retina Center absolutely knows where they are doing, and recognize when there is an emergency situation. It is what took me there. I couldn't recommend Dr. Ward anymore. He wasn't only an ultimate professional, but he really knows his business. The staff behind him are so professional. read more

I received decent care from Dr. Wu, but the phone person was very rude. Dr. Wu referred me to a geneticist at UCLA Medical Center. When I called the NV Retina Center office the next day to ask them to fax the referral, the African American woman I spoke with was nasty. Why is it so difficult to hire friendly office/phone staff? To top it off, when I called UCLA Medical Center to make an appointment, they could not find the referral. They asked for the phone number for Nevada Retina Center so they could ask to have the referral sent. I cautioned that the office staff was rude, and the lady said there was a note in my file indicating they had already called them and the person they spoke with was very unpleasant/rude. read more

Dr. Par was fine but he was supposed to submit a pre-authorization to my insurance which was never done. I called 3 times and was promised a call back that was never received. Finnaly, a staff member admitted the pre-auth was never sent after two weeks of waiting. Staff is unconcerned, can't be bothered and just a general I don't care attitude. read more

The lady heavy set lady and the other one with the neck tattoo in the front have no experience in customer service . Totally completely Rude cant even ask them questions with out getting major attitude. The wait is already way to long clients dont need to be treated poorly. Please train your staff . read more

Office staff needs help! I was trying to leave my contact info for a patient being seen as I needed to step out for a minute and the front desk girl ignored me until another front desk person saw what was happening and took over. I hope the drs are better than their front desk staff!! read more

WARNING, Dr. Kwang J. Lee damaged my family members retina. He went in for an IOP check up, and was manipulated into getting laser treatment even though Dr. Lee was informed that he didnt want any procedure that would put him at risk of damaging his vision. After his eye was filled with blood, Dr. Lee sent him to Tyson Ward for surgery. On his return visit to Dr. Lee, there were other patients in the waiting room who he did the EXACT same thing to. They had retinas filled with blood. Why is he allowed to practice? read more

I spent at least an hour to make an appointment with a Dr Kwang at this facility. Appointment was finally made after they checked my insurance and qualifications to dare make an appointment with such an important doctor. I am a 76-year-old man who have retina problems. This is the first time my qualifications for making an appointment was questioned anywhere in the USA. In any case, this morning, a nice lady at the reception of their Henderson, Nevada office greeted me. I had arrived at the office 45 minutes earlier to fill out their forms. After filling out the forms, the same lady requested my insurance card and the driver's license. After another 15 minutes of waiting, she called me to inform me that they do not accept my insurance. I have a United Healthcare Medicare PPO. I said that they had already checked my insurance when I was making the appointment. She explained to me that things may have changed since then. I said, fine. I will pay you as an out of network physician. I do not need eye measurements. I only need a consultation. She told me that the consultation cost would be over 300 dollars! This is not only outrageous, but I am also wondering why she did not check my insurance first, before wasting my time to fill out several forms that included my private information. This is against HIPPA privacy rules. I don't think this outfit should be in business until they can fix their front office. I will file a separate online HIPPA complaint with HHS's government site against this organization. read more

Dr. Lee is a kind, caring, thorough and knowledgeable retina specialist. He performed a laser procedure on my left eye to repair a hole that would have otherwise resulted in retinal detachment down the line. Everything went smoothly and perfectly. I feel great today. Nadine, his retinal aid, is a sweet, angelic lady. I have no problems with the people who actually have the degrees and run this place. Unfortunately, my one star rating is due to the army of idiots sitting at the front. Honestly, the front desk staff is full of uneducated, heavy-set, low life women who are rude, condescending and obnoxious. Natalie, the main receptionist, is a miserable, Negative Nancy who gets off by barking at people in her horrifically offensive tone. She is, hands down, THE most arrogant and disrespectful receptionist I have ever encountered. After she gave me outrageous attitude, a patient I sat next to in the waiting room looked at me and told me that she treated him in the same, awful way. Also, an *unnamed* medical staff member told me that patients complain about these unprofessional women regularly and I should make it my duty to communicate that to Dr. Kwang so he can finally replace them. THEIR OWN COWORKERS CAN'T STAND THEM! Quite a shame, being that the educated professionals who keep these morons employed are being represented by a terribly poor first impression - right from the get go. Dr. Lee - you're wonderful. Do yourself a massive favor and get rid of the miserable, toxic people you have sitting at the front gates, ruining everyone's day before they have a chance to interact with you. Ladies at the front desk are extremely rude and always have a nasty attitude towards patients. They are all also very unorganized and rude, no one here has good communication!! My appointments will be early and I'll still be waiting 2+ hours to see a doctor!! I recommend going to the other location because the employees here are rude and will yell at you! Dr Lee is a fine doctor working in a field that requires high skills. I'm sure he's save the vision in one eye and kept loss of vision in the other to a minimum, given the disease I have now. There would be five stars up above, if some changes could be made. First, WAIT TIMES after arriving on time for an appointment! These are excessive, sometimes up to three hours. Is the no on in this office responsible for scheduling and real time monitoring of the work flow? Frankly, it appears that, no matter when you are scheduled for an appointment, you will be see by the fist technician, only after all those who signed in earlier. Maybe they had earlier appointments? If that's true, it means the doctor is seriously over booking, given the average time each patient needs to be diagnosed and treated. I've been to this office many, many times and am now considering findin another Retina specialist. Not because Dr Lee is lacking in skill and care, but because of the long time it takes from Scheduled appointment time to being seen by the doctor. read more

He is highly skilled but is also highly personable with a wonderful affect and sense of humor. His competence is unparalleled! They are busy because that is how good they are. Dr Ward has been my doctor for over three years. I was so frightened when I got the diagnosis of Wet Macular Degeneration, so am so thankful that with Dr Ward and his staffs care my vision still remains good and I feel I have a bright future ahead. This is our 8th appointment here. Every single time it has been at least a 3 hr wait. Once you finally see Dr. Tweito he is great. I believe over scheduling is a huge problem here. I was nervous as I were diagnosed by my opthamologist for having a possible retinal tear. The entire staff at Nevada Retina Center were amazingly knowledgeable and professional. When I called to make an appointment, a lady named Rowena (if I remember correctly) took her time to thoroughly explain the process of the procedure over the phone. She was incredibly kind which I greatly appreciated. She got me in the the next day for an appointment. Upon arrival, everybody in the office was attentive, thorough and extremely nice. Dr. Lee and his assistant Pinoy are extremely professional and detailed. I couldn't ask for a better experience for such a nerve wracking appointment. Checked in 15 mins prior to my appointment. It is now 40 mins past my appointment time and I am still in the waiting room. Terrible.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Tyson Ward. I'd suffered a retina detachment, and the ER I'd gone to suggested I contact the Nevada Retina Center. I left an early morning voicemail message, and Dr. Ward contacted me within minutes and scheduled an appointment for me that same day. He and his staff were extremely professional, courteous and reassuring. He was very patient in explaining everything fully and assured me that my retina could be reattached. After having successfully performed the reattachment surgery, he monitored my progress over the next several months and ultimately referred me to another opthamologist to treat cataracts I'd since developed. That specialist also performed lasik surgery where toric lenses were implanted. The procedure corrected my lifelong astigmatism issues, and today I'm able to see perfectly without the aid of corrective lenses. I'm very grateful to Dr. Ward for saving my eyesight at the onset. read more

Horrible! My sons appointment was at 2:30pm they asked us to get here at 2pm. We arrive at 2pm sharp, it took 45 min just to get checked in. It's now 4:45pm and we are sitting in their dilation room and still haven't seen a doctor! What was the point of making an appointment?! read more

Would love to say that the doctors are great but my husband has yet to be seen by one because of the incompetence of the staff that makes the appointments is ridiculous! My husband called the office for an appointment, he was told 1/30 @2pm. We get here 10 mins early only to find out that his appointment wasn't until 2/6 @2pm and of course "no one knows why" so we reschedule for a different date/time so we can work around our already crazy schedule. That appointment was for today @2pm. We get there and they say "you're scheduled at our Maryland Parkway Office" now please tell me WHY we would chose an office clear across town when this is the one we're closer to and making sure that when we were IN the office making the appointment IN PERSON going over dates and times the doctor was going to be in THIS OFFICE and pushing dates out even further to accommodate our schedules and not having to drive across town. The office employees were not apologetic at all! The two ladies at the front desk didn't even want to give us answer as to what's next. They kept asking each other "what do you think we should do?" Then they made us wait for the person that scheduled our appointment to come to the front and she refused to take responsibility saying "we called to confirm your appointment at the other office and now we have to reschedule you" so I politely took back my husbands paperwork and walked before I said something that would make look as stupid as they did! I am looking for another referral for my husband but if I have to deal with this place again you can guarantee next time I will drive to Maryland parkway just so I don't have to deal with them again!
