I joined about two years ago for kickboxing (PJ, Chris, and Justin are incredible), but really appreciated that the membership allows you to divide up your classes however you like. I ended up taking up jiu jitsu and recently started kali escrima with Ian - my only regret is that I didn't start sooner. Marital arts is such a humbling experience, and walking into a new gym can be so intimidating. O2 is perfect for every experience level from the individual who has only seen action movies to the high level grappler and those who spar regularly. As a whole, they call it the O2 fam and it truly feels like it! The gym is actually owned by Mike and Chris, two brothers, who truly give it a family feel. They, and all the coaches, are amazing at what they do and lead their classes with expertise and a lot of humor. And as another reviewer mentioned, this is definitely somewhere where you have to check your ego at the door because it's a fam and we have to take care of each other. O2 is on the second floor above Goodwill along Kamehameha. There's plenty of parking and the lot entrance is on Hekaha. During the pandemic they kept the gym open and prioritized membership safety with online classes then grappling with dummies and working in pods. They offer times throughout the day and on weekends. Ladies, you'll love this section! No boys allowed!), lots of machines and free weights, music is always bumpin' with good music, lots of disinfecting stations. Although they are not opened 24 hours right now due to COVID, this place is great and I don't have to wait for any machines or weights. I can't wait till the classes open up so I could try it, too. Cons: They need to clean...and I mean clean the dusts on the walls and floors. This is minor and could be resolved quickly but it makes me wonder how often they clean when I see the same dust piles week after week in the same area. The women's restroom smells ALL the time. Not sure if there's a plumbing issue but I gag every time I go into the locker room. There's no WIFI... I was surprised they had no WIFI. Otherwise, great gym!

I visited Sports Box once a few months ago and it was a very unpleasant experience…read more I booked about 3-4 days in advance and I got 3 spots reserved and paid for all ahead of my reserved date and time. I received a few text messages with reminders prior to my date. Not once in the reminders was I told of how to get into the mall after hours. I called Sports Box while I was outside, but there was no answer for about 15 mins. I did arrive earlier than my reserved time to check in, but by the time I had gotten in touch with someone it was my time to start my reservation and that was already disappointing at how long it took to get into the building. After being checked in for 3 reserved spots I am told that one of my spots doesn't have the golfing option as it was broken. I wasn't offered another spot, due to it being used by others already. I wasn't offered any compensation, I had to ask the attendants for compensation which I was met with attitude from one of the attendants. Another attendant was pleasant and said he would have to call their boss as they weren't sure what they could do. Throughout my night I waited for an update, but no update was given on what could be done to compensate me for one of the spots not being fully operable. So we started a bit late because we couldn't get into the building and we also weren't offered to finish a bit later, which I would've appreciated since we started a few mins late. At the end of the night when leaving I asked the attendant if they had spoken to their boss and the attendant said they were authorized to give me a $75 Gift Card only, which I took but it is no good to me as I will not be going back. To me it was not a pleasant experience all around. This is not a place I recommend based off of my first experience here.

The right side is weights of all kinds, workout machines, cardio machines, an indoor turf with sled and many more. Upstairs is cycle room for cycling class and racket ball rooms. They offer training and workout classes. You can also bring family remembers with you on the weekends. The workers there are always nice and accommodating. The best part is plenty parking and the gym doesn't stink.

I am in constant amazement of how patient, caring, supportive and structured all of the leadership and staff are when caring for all of the kids in the class. My son is currently a Green Belt/5 years old and loves Oahu Taekwondo Center. Leadership finds a way to care for newer kids who are adjusting while at the same time maintaining order of the rest of the class. To be able to see all of the kids smiling, learning and displaying foundational character traits is such a joy to see. The Best activity/discipline we have enrolled my son in to date. I emailed a couple places and Rey quickly responded to my inquiry and I scheduled an initial visit. Feeling very inadequate like someone who forgot their lightsaber at a Star Wars convention, I walked into his gym. Rey is so friendly and mellow it's was like talking to a long time friend. He listened to my concerns and set up a program customized for me. As I continued going, I got very comfortable at his gym, where folks are nice and only focused on their individual fitness. I originally went only to lose more weight but Rey taught me so much more. He customizes your regime according to you. I have a significant slouch and Rey has helped me with corrective posturing. He has taught me about safe weight lifting (to prevent injuries), nutrition (how to eat) and techniques to use at home. Rey is truly a master in all aspects of health and fitness. I feel better, have more energy and my posture has vastly improved. I find exercising a huge part of my routine now. I met some nice ladies at his gym and I've been inspired by their muscles to continue my own fitness path. I highly recommend Rey if you are focused on getting right with your body and health.
