I ordered a small vanilla protein cold brew ($8) through the InKind app for easy pickup -- it hit the spot. It wasn't busy when we stopped in, but being right downtown, I can easily see this being a popular stop during peak hours. It's a great place for fueling up before hitting the local shops -- or recharging after. There are tables, chairs, and outlets available if you're planning to stay and get some work done, though we were just grabbing and going. We lucked out with street parking, but I imagine it depends on timing. Friendly staff, smooth ordering, and a cozy vibe. It's on the pricier side, but I'd still come back for another fuel-up.

It was a delight to have his return to town at Mondo and later across Springfield Ave to the market place at Wine List. I simply require a respectable cuppa joe in the morning - no fancy artwork on a cappuccino or a sugary beverage. I like the daily pot so that my taste buds get varied perks, especially Ahree special blend or Java on Monday mornings. Many come in to buy by the pound, including the upscale Kona - or order online. My drill 4-5 times a week is to go in and chatter with wine, cheese chocolate & flower folks. Like the nearby brewery, the staff & regulars there create a Cheers-like atmosphere. Then there's a seating area when you can eat, served by a friendly attentive staff and an adjacent boutique area where you can purchase housewares, clothing and other cool stuff. I'm not in Maplewood all that often, generally when I'm shopping at the equally awesome City Workshop but when I do, I always make sure to hit up Perch.
