Speaking from getting take out* one of my girlfriends picked it up and delivered lunch. I saw the review about the BLAT below. The Bacon Lettuce Avocado and Tomato is truly delicious. All of it was so refreshing plus the amount of avocado and bacon on it was truly filling. read more

Marigold's is an adorable spot in downtown Summit for both breakfast and lunch, with ample outdoor seating on a big patio. We got the Maddie morning (sriracha avocado toast) and a banana nut muffin, both of which were excellent. While you do order at a counter inside for food, we found the service to be great - quick and considerate, and there was a self service station for water. They brought the food to us outside and we enjoyed the experience so much, we ended up staying until lunch time and ordering the Kale salad and Southwestern quinoa bowl. They have an excellent selection of paninis, salad, and soups, as well as a decent breakfast menu. Tons of vegetarian options, and everything is super fresh. This is a great, casual spot for a quick healthy bite. read more

I probably shouldn't be writing this review right now, since I was starving when I picked up my salad and pissed at Chopt that their website was giving me a lot of password trouble. But this place is super cute. It's literally hidden from the street; you have to walk into the little sidewalk park on the side of Mondo. They had awesome looking mini berrie pies and cookies, too bad I'm trying to lose weight right now. My salad was large, fresh, and really good. It came with a chunk of foccacia bread. I ordered online and they have a tall case with shelves where bags of food were waiting to be picked up, akin to Panera. Will definitely be back to try other items. read more

We were looking for a quick healthy option for lunch without going to a restaurant as we were pressed for time. We walked in and they have the options up on the chalkboard. They all sound delicious. We ordered 3 sandwiches and 3 small side salads that were in the fridge and some drinks. $75!! I was a little shocked but figured the sandwich would be worth the price. Nope. Lots of bread but lacked the chicken. Very disappointed honestly if you're going to charge those prices for a takeaway you need to make it a better experience. read more

Great little breakfast and lunch spot off the beaten path in downtown Summit with a cute, but small interior. I enjoyed the Vermont salad, which was fresh greens, blue cheese, and walnuts. Delicious and a nice portion. The bf devoured his pesto panini which was served with a bag of chips. Our server, nate, was very friendly. Overall, a great spot to eat, but a bit pricey. read more

Love coming here!! Such a beautiful and prime site right in the heart of Summit downtown. Love that you're able to sit at the promenade and have lunch or even a sip of coffee all while being in a very pretty environment. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here or even coffee! The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The yogurt parfait is delicious! I also enjoy the Maddie morning and the pesto panini with chicken. Cannot recommend this great and local spot enough. Marigold's is a Summit stand-out for breakfast, lunch and take out dinners. The food is incredibly fresh and always delicious, and there is something on the menu for everyone. I love that they have a "pick 2 offering" to pick either half a salad/soup/or sandwich. It can be a hard choice as to which to pick--as everything is so yummy. It is a well-managed and very clean establishment--the employees seem happy, and there is always a positive "vibe." We have felt very safe going there through COVID. read more

Four stars for the Mona Lisa sandwich, which is delicious. The grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful, prosciutto was nice and crispy, the arugula gave it a nice bite, & the garlic aioli was dripping down my hand. Kind of a messy sandwich, but it was worth it. It was a decent size as well. I almost never eat an entire sandwich in one sitting, so I was able to save the other half for my lunch tomorrow. I asked for tap water (because I don't like drinking out of plastic bottles), and never received it. Good thing there's a water fountain for pets and humans near the outside dining area where I chose to eat. Don't tell anyone but I ate the oatmeal raisin cookie that was intended for dessert because it took a good ten minutes to get my food. The place wasn't too busy, but a few people came in to pick up food they called ahead, so maybe that explains the wait. read more

If you don't mind being told where you can sit as though you are a misbehaving child, go here. It takes a lot of audacity to tell two customers that they must battle through a space crammed with people at the lunch hour to a corner table because the table they initially selected had three chairs. Zero etiquette or concern for the customer experience here. Rude really. The staff is very strange. They appear to resent you for being there. Not clear why they don't reconfigure the tables so people can actually comfortably get to all of the seats. Very loud at lunch time. Not conducive to a conversation. Food was pretty fresh and healthy choices. But not worth the aggravation for me. I won't be back. read more

Stumbled through here on a hectic day and had a delicious lunch... one of the best salads I've had in a while. The staff was super nice, they had some cute gift things you can buy as well so I picked up some local coffee. The sitting area outside is lovely, there's a big fountain and plenty of seating. Exactly what the doctor ordered. If you're looking for just a salad, this place is PERFECT! Had the Kale salad ($10) and it was enormous - I didn't think I could finish it, but I ended up eating the entire thing because it was also delicious. The coffee (I got drip coffee) was strong and complex. The choice of a few different drip coffees is always a nice perk (pun intended) - I went with the "peppermint mocha" which doesn't have any added sugar or sweetener in it. It was great and holiday-ey. Soups and a limited selection of fresh-made sandwiches looked great on other customers' plates. Today's soups were Roasted Red Pepper Bisque, and Butternut Squash with Sausage and Baby Spinach (at least I'm pretty sure they were?) They looked great! My initial impression was that if this place can survive only being open from 8:30am 'til 5:00pm, they must be good! And I was right. Simple, healthy, generous portions, and great coffee. That's a winner in my Yelp book. read more

Why isnt anybody talking about the marigold's house salad? Its the best goat cheese ive had in a salad, periodt! The dressing is so yummy, and the fruits and evrrything just goes so well with it! They got my order wrong last time and gave me mona lisa sandwich, which i didnt really cared for too much, all i can taste is the charred chicken and its too thick, its all i can say. My co workers love that sandwich but not for me i guess. The soups are also good i love their soups! read more

I love coming to Marigolds for lunch. The menu isn't extensive but they have a decent selection of salads, sandwiches, and soups. I have tried The Dottoli, The Figaro, and the Mediterranean Tuna Tartine. -The Dottoli was a bit too cheesy for me, but that was easily combated by dipping in the Roasted Red Pepper Bisque. -I really enjoyed the Figaro. I'm a sucker for fig and brie so this was a winner for me. -The Mediterranean Tuna Tartine was too dry for my liking. Serving portions are very generous. I find it difficult to finish a whole sandwich by myself but sharing a salad and half a sandwich (or a bowl of soup) with a friend is perfect. The real gem of Marigolds and my go-to order is The Marigolds' House Salad. The greens and strawberries are fresh, the caramelized almonds add a touch of sweetness and crunch to the salad, and the dressing blends all the components of the salad perfectly together. Although the hours on yelp state 8:30 to 5:00, be aware that the kitchen closes around 2:30 and they only serve beverages after. read more

Good food selections and delicious. Especially love their ginger-peanut salad dressing and their cilantro-lime dressing. Now I always keep a bottle of one of them in my fridge. I only hope they will figure out the nutritional values of those dressings so I know how careful I should be with amounts, as I have no idea of fat content, sugar content, etc. read more

Perhaps my favorite lunch spot in Summit! Upscale sandwiches with fresh ingredients and friendly service, all at a reasonable price. First thing I did when I moved into Summit was to try every restaurant to find those awesome local spots with great food (as opposed to great marketing campaigns) and this is the winner. We came across Marigolds on a walk through Summit and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The decor was very cute and the servers were so friendly. You order from the counter then they bring the food to you wherever you sit so it can be a little difficult to find an open table. read more

I love this place so much! I was so happy when it opened, especially because it's a 15 minute walk from my house. I always enjoy the Palo Alto salad and will continue to get it for as long as they stay - which I hope is forever. I know the owner's son, so back when they were getting ready to open, I watched the magic all unfold. It is not expensive, and worth every dollar I spend. I could eat there every day for the rest of my life and never be sick of their food!! I only wish they served food after 2 and we're open on Sundays. read more

That said, it's overall a pretty solid spot to get work done. Parking in downtown Summit is a pain in general, I usually just park in the lot and walk over. Limit is at 5 hours and you will have to walk back if you want to extend it. There might be parking available by the cafe, but I'm personally less confident on how long you can to stay before getting ticketed/booted, so do so at your own risk.

I had ordered a Lavender White Mocha which tasted kind of like a light lavender flavored cappuccino. In my mind, I was expecting a little more of a chocolate taste but maybe it got diluted since a white coffee should have a lot of milk. As a coffee it was very calm and tasted good, very nice to sip. But I may have been expecting to taste more of what is in the name. I also had The Bell. The warm brie cheese felt like it just melted in your mouth. there was a type of light jam smeared on and in the sandwich that complimented the turkey really well. Freshly made and warm. It was all around really good. It is a very pleasant experience. since I was eating in, they put the coffee in proper mugs that they just wash and reuse. The decorations had a warm industrial vibe to it. Like modern references but not flashy. One of their, lets say shrines, was a bunch of popular couples from TV shows and movies that people may know. It was next to a big open tree art piece. So its not always going together but didn't feel out of place. The music was pleasant and not loud to the point where you couldn't talk to a companion. The shop is along a busy street but they actually have a free parking lot in the next block over. It is certainly going in my list of shops to bring others too. It has a lot going for it and my takeaways has me thinking this business is going to stay open for a long time with all its good points.

After that experience it made me reconsider something about Sam's. Yes this other deli makes a similar sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich but the key here is If you are looking for a basic one. At Sam's they have just an enormous amount of customization options for their breakfast sandwich. How do you want your eggs, a bunch of topping options. Avocado, peppers, etc. lots of different bread options, too. So a little more gourmet. That's all.

Batavia Cafe was just what we needed! We had a half-turkey club (made with house-roasted turkey!), chicken & sausage jambalaya, salad, and turkey soup with barley and vegetables. Everything was delicious! We left with chocolate chip cookies and banana bread baked by the owner. I don't normally eat dessert, but these baked goods were flavorful and not too sweet. The cookies were the best I'd ever tasted, and I ate each bite slowly. Lots of top-quality chocolate in a cookie reminiscent of a vanilla malt. The texture of the banana bread was perfect, and unlike most banana breads, his version did not taste of overripe bananas. It was more like a spice cake. Tasty, healthy food; nice people; a lovely atmosphere, lively but quiet enough for conversation; and a clean bathroom -- what more could you ask for?

But maybe only after 3. It closes at 3 which seems early but maybe not if you only serve breakfast and lunch. I went in for a breakfast wrap in my quest to sample more Summit breakfast options. It was a fancy breakfast wrap. And I got a cafe mocha. Wrap was good. I got it to go. It was fancy inside but it did have a fancy price. Mocha was also good. Cute inside. Nice people. Clean. It didn't knock my socks off. I wouldn't run back. But no complaints. Drugstore took a really long time and it was a prescription for 14 pills. It does not take long to count to 14. Maybe he had to take off a shoe?
