The Porch is the best thing to happen to the coffee scene in this area in a while! The drinks are inventive (the Jersey Diner, made with malt milk, is a personal fave of mine on their standard specials list) and always include housemade syrups versus sugary, purchased ones, and their baked goods are great -- the pumpkin loaf in particular is ALWAYS moist and delicious. I also love that they have a sizable porch, complete with a porch swing, rocking chairs, and a few tables, in addition to a truly gorgeous interior (not pictured because it's always busy and would be tough to blur out so many faces!). Specialty lattes will run you just over $9 apiece, which is a lot, but unfortunately, I've found that's just the cost of a local latte with housemade syrups, and I'll happily pay for those things if they're good. They're always busy, but always well-staffed so that you never have to wait long once you've ordered. read more

Adorable spot for matcha and coffee. We ordered 3 matchas which came out to around $8-$9 each with oat milk which is pricier but on par with pricing for matcha these days. However we were pleasantly surprised with the matcha, had great flavor and strong matcha taste. The interior is super cute and could come here to do some work or catch up with friends. There's a nice porch covered area to sit outside as well, and looks like they host yoga classes or have special events in the morning as there was one when we were there. I went to The Porch for the first time on a Friday morning and I was surprised to find it wasn't too busy. There's a small parking lot but also other parking spaces available in the complex. When you walk in you enter through the side of the shop and there is a good amount of seating which is nice. The workers there were SO nice and friendly. I decided to get an iced strawberry matcha latte with oat milk. It was super cool to see them make the matcha right in front of me and spend so much time on it. Every time I have matcha I usually don't like it because it's either way too sweet or way too earthy for me. This was THE BEST matcha I have ever had! It was sweet enough but not too much and you could taste it was good quality matcha. And the strawberry added just enough sweetness it was DELISH! Also we sat at a little table to the side and the seating was comfy and roomy for a small group especially with drinks and food. I could definitely see myself working remotely from here. I will 10000% be coming back. I definitely want to try some of the other specials. read more

Very cute coffee shop with beautiful decor! The banana latte was sweet but not overwhelmingly so and the matcha cloud was absolutely delicious. The staff were very nice and were patient with as we decided on drinks and food. Not pictured but we also had a croissant that was buttery and baked to perfection along with a s'more's bar! The Porch has become one of our go-to spots to celebrate finishing a book, and it never disappoints. A few of my book club friends and I love treating ourselves here, and it's kind of turned into our little tradition. The atmosphere is super cute, cozy, and perfect for catching up or diving into a new read. The drinks are always a hit. The carrot cake latte is a standout and absolutely worth trying, but their matcha is just as good if that's more your thing. And the pastries do not miss. The cinnamon bun has been my personal favorite so far. This one pains me to write ... but not impressed. The coffee presents nicely for a photo... and that's it. I stopped in today to get the Jersey Diner Coffee. Online it states it can be regular or oak milk (image attached of the online menu stating oat milk is an option). When I ordered it with oat milk the barista was confused and said it's not an option. Strange. So I proceeded to order an iced latte with oat milk and the toasted marshmallow cold foam - basically the exact item. The cold foam was great. The coffee had no flavor to it what so ever. Such a disappointment. Hoping this was a bad day and it doesn't taste this way normally. I grabbed over night oats and it was decent. Packaged nicely. Big fan of the bamboo straws and utensils! Interior is lovely and great work from home space. Inside of the place is adorable and has potential if the coffees didn't taste watered down. Plan to return back to try other options, and hope that the experience with the coffee is better. read more

After seeing The Porch all over my Instagram feed, I finally made the time to go and try them out! When you're heading there, definitely keep your eyes peeled for their black sign. The homey aesthetic blends in perfectly with the surrounding houses, so it can be easy to miss, but once you find it, there is plenty of parking in the back. It was cold when we visited, so we stayed inside, but the porch itself has such cute couches for hanging out while you enjoy your drink, it's probably so nice for warmer days. The indoor atmosphere is bright, clean, and filled with charming seating areas. It is a bit on the smaller side, though, so you might have a hard time finding a spot on a busy day. They have a huge selection of pastries, overnight oats, and chia puddings, along with a variety of ready to go cold drinks. Their signature menu features year-round favorites, as well as winter specials. We tried the Banana Bread Matcha Latte, and it truly tasted like a slice of banana bread in a cup! It was creamy, perfectly balanced, and they really nailed the banana and cinnamon flavors. If you're in the area, you must stop in to try this before it's gone! Next, we tried the Coco Noir, a latte with coconut and black sesame syrup. This was incredibly refreshing, I can definitely see myself reaching for this on warmer days. I especially loved the coconut flakes on top. Finally, we tried their classic Purple Porch, which is a powerhouse drink: matcha with protein, collagen peptides, probiotics, taro, ube, hyaluronic acid, and butterfly pea protein. While there is a lot going on in this one, the taro was the star flavor that really came through. The lovely baristas let us know that all of these drinks can be made with either matcha or espresso. I came here midday on a Saturday -- while there was a line, it moved fast and we got our drinks within 10 minutes! The workers are very efficient and friendly. I didn't get to interact with them much because it was busier but I had a good experience with them :) The inside vibe and seating was very aesthetic and warm. I'm sure this place is fabulous when it's warm out or even on the porch in the fall. Even in wintertime it felt cozy inside. There's a good amount of seats with different positions at each one -- some stools, a big dining style table in the middle, booths, etc. I got a miso caramel iced latte with oatmilk and it was very very good. I think the addition of miso is so unique. I also appreciate no upcharge for milk substitutes. My boyfriend got the special be mine latte for Valentine's day and we were worried it'd be too sweet but both drinks were honestly totally good on the sweet scale. They were really done well. I wish we lived closer as we're about 40 minutes away with a bunch more options closer than the Porch but I'm definitely down to come back when I'm in the area again. I will say the reason I can't give 5 stars is it was just super expensive, but I guess that's expected for a nice coffee shop like this that focuses on adaptogen type drinks. I've been meaning to go to the Porch after seeing it on social media so I went early on a Friday morning! I absolutely loved the interior and could definitely see myself getting some work done at one of the tables. I got the Be Mine latte and i loved the pink foam and heart sprinkles on top. I also got a chili cheese palmier and I do wish it was warmed up but to be fair I didn't ask. The latte was a little sweet for my taste but to be expected. The Porch, Coffee Tea and Bakery is a newly opened bakery in Basking Ridge which offers variety of lattes, matcha drinks, teas and specialty specialty, small-batch baked goods. There is ample seating inside as well as well outside on the porch. We went on Saturday Morning and it was pretty busy, took us 30 mins to order our drinks. We had a latte, cold brew, almond croissant and banana cake. Coffee was well-balanced and strong, and baked goods were fresh and tasty. Just tried this spot for the first time and I love it! Good amount of seating inside and outside- the porch area is really cute, just a little too cold out when we went so we didn't sit. The place was packed on a Sunday around noon, but the line moved very quickly and drinks only took a couple minutes. They had some fun specials, like the Lucky Charms latte, which was delish and a lot of GF bakery items. Also nice to see that they're conscious about the environment- bamboo utensils and straws, glass/ceramics for those staying to enjoy their drinks. Try and serve hot beverages a little warm. If a customer brings the beverage back to the counter and explains it is cold, offer to make it over again. Don't throw it in the microwave for a quick warm up. Perhaps service can be offered with a little friendliness. Pretend! read more

The drinks here are solid. Love the strawberry matcha and the prickly pair yuzu is good too. The purple porch is great when done right, but can be a hit or miss depending on who makes it. I really liked it the first time and since then I haven't had it taste the same. read more
