The owner is a delightfully pleasant and helpful man. We were in town for the afternoon and had planned to grab hot coffees but the warm sunny afternoon had us opting for salted caramel frappes. They were the perfect blend of coffee, sweet and cold! They were not overly sweet as many other shop's frappes can be. The variety of cold and hot coffees here is amazingly vast. read more

My boyfriend and I LOVE this cafe!!! I bring my laptop to come here and work - it's the perfect spot to grab a coffee and work remote. We also like to bring UNO or other games and just relax and have fun! The owner is the sweetest and truly goes above and beyond to provide a great experience with his service. The ambience gives cute cozy cafe vibes with the option for indoor and outdoor seating. Bathrooms are also clean. My boyfriend just had his acl repaired and was in a knee brace and crutches - the owner was more than happy to help accommodate us. 10/10 - forever a returning customer! :) read more

I've spent the past 8 days in Millburn, and I've purchased this coffee at least 8 times--I don't usually write reviews and yet I was driven by my sheer LOVE of this cold brew to share with the world. This is the best cold brew I've had in my life: I get it black with caramel. It's refreshing and almost fruity, and it's my post-run drink every morning. I can't speak to any of the other drinks, but the cold brew here is truly spectacular. The owner is super friendly and clearly knows his coffee well (he explained he's been running this store for 10+ years and makes his own cold brew/nitro every day). The specialty lattes sound awesome too, and there's a good selection of baked goods and pastries! I am going to miss this place when I leave the town. Small businesses have been struggling since covid, and nothing makes me happier than to recommend and support The Coffee Mill Roasters!! The area is crowded and they seem a bit busy. We only got a bag of beans, as they are a roastery, but the bag didn't have a roasted date on it. The beans were a little darker than the described medium, and after I got the grind right the beans were still a bit burnt tasting. read more

Great coffee shop in downtown Millburn! This is probably the only coffee shop besides Starbucks that opens before 8am. Parking in downtown Millburn is usually a nightmare but if you're here before 8am, it shouldn't be an issue. The owner is so friendly and always seems to have a smile on his face. He really takes his time to make each cup of coffee even when there's a line to the door! Sure the wait is a bit longer, but it's totally worth it. The lattes here really stand out as they're stronger than the lattes that I usually get. The matcha latte is just okay. They don't use enough matcha powder. The pastry display always looks amazing! I had to hold myself back and just get one thing. The bread pudding here is delicious...I've never had bread pudding quite like this one. The texture is definitely more like bread but I really liked it. It is on the drier side so it might not be for everyone. If it weren't for the location, I would definitely come here more often. read more

Over priced, poor service. Regret going here and strongly recommend against it. Go to any of the other many good coffee places around. My wife went in to get gelato, was charged 15 dollars (see price below). When we asked why the cost after paying, the owner angrily refused to explain or refund for the double charge. I was excited to try this place as it had good reviews and who doesnt love a local coffee shop. Maybe was a off day but I had the worst experience ever. Ill start with the service in the shop. They guy who Im assuming is the owner was not friendly I walked in he just stared I had to greet him and say I want to order. then he was rushing and condensending to the female employee that worked there which Im sure put added stress on her and caused her to create mishaps 1 was they over charged me adding a large drink to my order I had to go back and get corrected. The drinks I did get caramel & a toffee taste like old over roasted coffee with no flavor added. but to make matters worst. I got home to enjoy my empanada I got from there bit into it an though this is really dry then it taste a bit weird come to find out it was old as it had mold all over it. Im so turned off by that place never again. I will go eslewhere read more

Found this place just by walking by. I'm not a fan of Dunkin or Starbucks. I like local businesses. Glad I stopped in. The place is very small but packs a lot of goodies. The dark roast coffee was very good. My only downside was that they put the milk in it for me. They don't have cream but the coffee was very good that was anyway. I had a crumb cake the first visit. Very tasty. Second visit was a cappuccino muffin which they warmed up without asking. Such a nice touch. The shopkeeper I believe is the owner and I believe if Italian decent and extremely nice. Only a few tables to eat inside. I ate inside both times. Never rushed out. This is definitely my go to coffee and quick breakfast place. They also have gelato, specialty coffees and specialty sandwiches. The music playing inside is very mellow. They are open 7 days a week. Do try if you're in the area. read more

I really loved the ambiance and service the first two times I visited this place. It is a cute, cozy coffee shop with a great selection of beverages. However, recently I was overcharged for two drinks. At first, I didn't pay any attention to it, but looking back at the menu displayed, you may get overcharged if you are quickly getting your coffee and stepping outside. Remember that his hired employees are not the problem, it's only when the owner is cashing people out, you will see variable prices and overcharge issues. And now it all makes sense reading all the previous comments regarding dishonest business. I hope they do a better job next time. I probably won't be returning anymore. read more

The service was good, the coffee was great, but there was no skim milk available (and the barista actually had to sniff the first milk she took out) and not only were the prices written on the board incorrect, but there was a service fee that also popped up on my receipt without warning. When I raised the question about the board pricing, there was no apology, just a "oh, I guess our prices did go up. We'll update the board." I'll give this place a 2 because the coffee and latte were good, but I'll tell you right now- there was a sign on the door looking for help and I'm not surprised. The guy who was obviously the owner made his worker clean the display case at least three times in front of me and was extremely rude to him in the under ten minute period we were there. Love coming here!! The owner is so friendly! I love the Balthazar baked goods that they carry, especially the muffins and the almond croissant! The coffee is wonderful as well!! The croissant is flaky and not the small croissant that you can get at a Starbucks. There's two entrances, one in the front on Main Street and the other is behind the café which is convenient if you're parking in the back parking lot (behind the Charlie Brown's and next to the Municipal Parking lot). Timing: if you're trying to get here without waiting in line for a while, I suggest getting here before the morning rush, or after. I usually step in around 8am. Anything earlier, and you'll run into the morning rush. Seating: there's 3 small tables in the back close to the back door exit. Then there's a taller table to the right at the front by the windows along with bar stools lined in front of the windows. read more

The food here is perhaps some of the most abysmal I've ever eaten in my life. The chicken pie tasted like flavored construction paper. The ham and cheese empanada is just cheese in an undercooked dough, there's no ham in sight, and the halva gets worse with each bite. We had to throw the food out as it was offending our stomachs.
