We ate here on August 28, 2026 for the first time. We will return and probably many times. That was our experience. Really shocked at some of the harsh reviews here and I have to question what motivated those. Anyway..... Not BYOB. It has a lively bar scene. Asking the wait staff about it we are informed many regulars will always choose to eat in the barroom. We dined at a nice table on the main floor of what appears to be a converted residence of two floors. We felt it was a very lovely setting with very attentive staff and ample parking in their dedicated lot to the side and rear. We started with the caviar tasting and a half bottle of one of their several NV French champagnes. These were expertly presented. A constructive criticism would be to add more than the crème fraiche and petite pancakes as accoutrements. However, this small tasting was otherwise a really pleasant opening. For appetizers my wife chose the wild shrimp, which were excellent and I went with the corn chowder, which was likewise top notch. For the main my wife chose the burger with fries and I chose two additional appetizers, the short rib tortellini and the crab cake. All of these impressed when paired with a half bottle of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The tortellini were the standout of these and wished a full order was offered as a main and not just available as a small appetizer. I'll add the bread offerings with room temperature butter were a pleasing start. However, being sated after the aforementioned courses we skipped desserts. Seriously, cannot fathom the few very negative reviews and suggest those be dismissed to allow you to try the place for yourself. All in, this was a $400 tab, but over half of that were the two half bottles and the caviar. It's actually a very reasonably priced restaurant, given the service, setting, and fare.

We hosted a large corporate event (with 50 people) and the event went smoothly with everyone being engaged at each station learning about proper cutting techniques, use of spices (new and commonly used), information about the local farms they work with and much more! The way the class and stations were set up allowed for easy networking among the guests and fun conversations with the chefs. Food was amazing and all our attendees enjoyed the charcuterie table they had set up while socializing beforehand and during the cooking class. I am also very grateful about the venue being extremely flexible with scheduling and allowing access to the building as we had a lot of deliveries & pre-event set ups that needed to be brought in for our event. Guests were thrilled to receive the recipes for all the menu items we made after the event as well. The only challenge we had was the limited parking available, but luckily there is a free municipal parking lot right across the street so it all worked out. In the store there are all kinds of fanciful, detailed, gorgeous cakes on display to show the types of cake designs available. The designs rival "the Cake Boss"--these are the Cake Queens! Michel Design Works brand soaps, candles and stationary are a personal favorite of mine and there are plenty in the store to choose from. For $125/person, I had expected better tasting food though. The small appetizers (spinach salad, prosciutto, Parmesan, olives) may have been put together from a grocery store. For the pasta that we rolled out, the staff only added a plain tomato sauce. The side of vegetables was overcooked and mushy. Tiramisu was all right. We can blame the taste and texture of the pasta on ourselves, because we made it, but I had expected the rest of the food prepared by professionals to be better. No drinks were included -- Healthy Italia is BYOB. There was a nice intro video from the owner telling us about her history and philosophy. She said that she doesn't measure ingredients, and only mixes by feel. How does one teach a cooking class like this? If someone is taking a cooking class, they are less experienced and need precise measurements and instructions. Our flour and water were measured for us, so I guess they do measure something. We were never told the measurements, so didn't have any recipe or any specific learnings to take home. I enjoyed the social time with my group, and especially the long table set out for our group in true Italian fashion. It made us feel like a big cohesive family. However, for $125/person, I felt like we could have had a true learning experience elsewhere or had a much better Italian dinner at a restaurant with drinks. In fact, on the subsequent evening, a few individuals from our group went to a restaurant and ordered similar items served at this cooking class, and the food was remarkably better. And yes, it was less than $125/person with drinks.
