I ordered a small vanilla protein cold brew ($8) through the InKind app for easy pickup -- it hit the spot. It wasn't busy when we stopped in, but being right downtown, I can easily see this being a popular stop during peak hours. It's a great place for fueling up before hitting the local shops -- or recharging after. There are tables, chairs, and outlets available if you're planning to stay and get some work done, though we were just grabbing and going. We lucked out with street parking, but I imagine it depends on timing. Friendly staff, smooth ordering, and a cozy vibe. Came here for a quick coffee and matcha since I was around the area. I had ordered an iced fall out boy with oat-milk. It tasted really great, the taste to the hazelnut was good! The drink kinda tasted like a brown sugar, which I loved! 10/10 Unfortunately the matcha wasn't the best, it was very watered down with too much oat-milk. No taste to it at all. Service was okay, I greeted first & wasn't a word said to me. More like of what do you want & that's it. Wasn't so welcoming. Ambiance is pretty chill, you can sit there of course & be able to work / study. Had to give it a 3 start for the service & matcha.. Probably wouldn't come back to this location exact. read more

I'm a huge fan of ordering ahead and picking up sl upon arrival. So, after stumbling across Gregory's, of course I looked up whether or not I could place my order ahead of time and, lo and behold, they have their own app! App was super easy to facilitate and allowed you to make customizations which is super appreciated. Even more convenient than all of that, the app allows you to choose your pickup time - added bonus! This particular Gregory's is located on the corner, so it's easy to see from any direction you may be driving from. Only downside is that they don't have a private lot, so you need to a meter to park your car. Inside of the store is bright with many different places to sit and plug in if you're looking to get work done. Orders ready to pick up are on the side with plenty of space to wait/stand which is super helpful so you're not waiting on top of each other. Drink was perfectly made with a great balance of flavors without being sickeningly sweet or terribly bitter. It hit the spot. Looking forward to the next time I can stop by! read more

On my first visit, the manager was working the bar himself and got my drink out before I got back from the bathroom, despite the line. That was impressive. Unfortunately, the experience was undercut by the same person, who was adamantly, audibly instructing the nervous first-day-on-the-job cashier that ceramic cups were only for cappuccinos and lattes. For me this is the wrong decision. Mugs are reusable and help me feel unrushed, improving the in-store experience. Indeed, I specifically asked him to put my Fall Oat Boy - a hot espresso drink with oatmilk, cinnamon, hazelnut, and maple syrup - in other words, a flavored latte! - to come in a mug. Came here for the first time. I ordered a decaf iced americano with a light splash of almond milk-- awful, bitter and undrinkable - went in the garbage. I am not sure what almond milk they use or if the milk spoiled but I have never had a coffee like that before. My husband ordered the cold brew and was not a fan; barely drinkable. First time at Gregorys, even though we always see it in the city. Love that the menu is not overwhelming. Plenty of seating at the Summit, NJ location, easily accessible off the train station. Located in a cute downtown area with lots to wander into and window shop! Recommend going less sweet/unsweetened with the lattes -- but the oat milk one was so creamy! Been here a few times. Good coffee and decent seating to get work done, however you better get here early during the weekend since it fills up pretty quickly. Once I had an awful experience where the person handling the coffee didn't seal the lid properly and ended up spilling it all over me. To make matters worse, they didn't even apologize and in fact looked disgusted when I asked if they would get me some water to help cool my skin down after getting burned from the coffee. It kept me from going back for months. I finally tried it again since it's near my work and thankfully haven't had a repeat of that experience, although I've only gotten the iced drinks since. Generally though the people have been pleasant and the cold brew in particular is done well. read more

This would be a solid 3.5 stars, but because the one thing that I ordered for myself (it was an office drop) was almost undrinkable. I was so excited when I stumbled upon this place that is only a block away from my destination.. trying to support local cafes as opposed to the Starbucks and DDs of the world.. Anyways, place is very inviting on the main downtown street of Summit. Very open, clean, airy.. the typical modern cafe look.. almost sterile trend now. Service was decent enough.. not overly pleasant by any means. I ordered a bunch of chocolate chip cookies and a box of joe for an office I support.. along with an apple cider cold brew latte that I was extremely excited to taste.. and for only 89 calories.. ok! So apparently it is cold brew coffee with a sweet foam made from skim milk and apple cider? Unfortunately, it was somewhat bitter and nowhere near as palatable as the cold brews that I typically enjoy. With no hint of apple at all. I'm not sure how the box of coffee and cookies were, but the office seemed excited to receive. I guess I will have to give other things on the menu a shot.. read more

I went to Gregory's in Summit for coffee. Service is friendly and prompt. They seem to care about their craft more than the usual chain spots although they too are a chain. My iced cold brew was excellent. My Daughter got the Salted Caramel Cold Brew and said she could taste the salted caramel. I come here when I'm in the area and recommend it. They have pastries and breakfast sandwiches and plenty of seating. Join the loyalty program and get free stuff. Great addition to Summit. read more

Really enjoyed trying out Gregory's Coffee for the first time today. Initially what drew us in was the sign outside they gave off a lot of personality and inside it was a fun mix between a coffee shop and a hair salon. It was bright, lively, packed with people and music, and just had a great vibe. We tried out their seasonal pumpkin cold brew, Smashing Pumpkin and it was great. They also had a ton of pastries and other drinks that I'll be excited to try out next time. Definitely recommend Gregory's! read more

The coffee and cookie I ordered were fine. But the service was really lacking! When I got there, the line was about 5 people deep. There was one woman behind the counter. The other employee was over to the side fussing with some trash bags. Then she moseyed over to the sink and washed her hands for longer than most surgeons scrubbing in for surgery. All this time I thought, surely she's not authorized to work the register, otherwise she would show some expediency in her movements. But I was wrong! She finally made her way to the register and started addressing the customers and was even able to make coffee! Unacceptable. Where is the manager?! Came here while visiting the town with some family. One of my family members was raving about the coffee here and how much she enjoys it. I unfortunately am not a coffee drinker nor did I purchase any beverages this day. When I walked in my first thought was this is a cute little café. I saw the healthy assortment of pastries and breakfast foods they offer. I didn't know that Gregory's was a healthy kinda vegan friendly place. I have no issues with this it's nice to enjoy healthier foods. The staff is very quiet and nice. I did encounter a tiny issue with one of the men there, my sister was asking for her pastries and I was waiting till she was done were separate orders. I didn't realize the gentleman was trying to get all of our stuff together to put in the oven to warm up. So he put hers in and then didn't bother asking me separately just made an assumption that because I was standing with her that I wasn't getting anything or my order was with what she ordered. So I tried to get his attention but to no avail did that work. So once my sister got her pastries and iced coffee and paid I placed my order with the man at the register. I really wish they would all smile come off more friendly rather than stand with a depressing look because that gives the impression they're rude or they don't care. I'm not going to judge because I'm sure they're very nice gentleman but I don't like seeing people who have the a-hole look to them. Let's talk about my pastry, I got the cranberry walnut scone. Huge scone for a great price which I can't complain. Unfortunately I can't taste the cranberry flavor and I get like a subtle taste of the walnuts which is ok to me. I can most definitely see the tiny chopped up chunks of it too. The outer layer of the scone tastes really good inside nice fluffy and airy. I do love cranberry so I was really hoping to get a bite of it, I only found one that fell off the scone sadly. My sister got two pastries one of which I tried the chocolate chip cookie. Now I love chocolate chip cookies and this one while it was big great price nice how you can warm it up melts the chocolate makes it gooey the taste of chocolate chip wasn't there. Now some may argue because it's made healthier but you can make a healthy chocolate chip cookie taste like it's not healthy made. Overall decent experience, I might possibly go back or to another location for a hopeful better experience. read more

After having some dental work nearby, I wanted something soft. Came in and ordered a peanut pleaser smoothie. The service was excellent. There were two people trying to take my order. The smoothie tasted so good and refreshing. I even asked for a sip top since I'm not allowed to use a straw due to my dental work. They girl pleasantly obliged with no hesitation. The establishment is very clean and not noisy at all. Seemed to be a few people sitting inside and outside. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely be paying a second visit. Stopped in this weekend for the first time to get some coffees. They unfortunately had no decaf coffee or decaf espresso for my pregnant wife. I tried to order their special seasonal limited edition coffee, but they were also out of that also. I ended up just getting a cup of their house blend which was just eh. It was fine, but was a little weak and didn't have much to it. We had to go elsewhere in town to get a coffee for my wife. It makes it tough to come back when there are so many other cafes in town to get a coffee. I'd try them again in the warmer months to try one of their cold brews. read more

Love that Gregorys opened a shop near me! I've been to several locations in the city; it's my morning treat when I commute to work. And now I can have Gregorys on the weekend! I've only ever had the nitro cold brew, which is the best nitro cold brew I've ever had. Better than Starbucks, better than other local coffee shops. It's smooooth and nothing else compares. This location is my favorite. The Gregorys locations in the city can feel quite cavernous, but this location is bright and airy. Very good for working, studying, or catching up with a friend. 10/10 read more
