It's our first time at the restaurant it was Wednesday around 630 the restaurant was not busy. The meatloaf with green beans and loaded mashed potato was excellent. The smothered chicken with loaded mashed potatoes was excellent, my son-in-law had the chicken fried steak with loaded mashed potato and salad it was excellent. Our server Tara did a great job taking care of us. The only thing I would change would be to leave a full carafe of ice tea on the table. Evidently we drink a lot of ice tea at dinner. read more

Stopped for a bite to eat while out cruising - quite the surprise. The venue is done in a rustic Western motif with some great mounts and interesting curios. Hostess was friendly and quite efficient seating the opening crowd. Not sure what our server was focused on, but it certainly wasn't customer service! (Other servers appeared to be /sounded more attentive to their customers.) Just had an order of the Rocky Mountain oysters and a side salad that we split since we weren't too hungry. RM oysters were so-so. Salad was okay other than some lettuce which was "melting". Pies are not homemade, but was okay, though it was more than double of what we paid for pie ala mode at a restaurant in the mountains. We were looking for a hot good meal after 8 hours in a car and stopped here because it was first steakhouse we passed off the freeway. We were seated right away and seemed to be mostly locals. The servers were all friendly and efficient. We ordered a crazy woman ribeye and bacon wrapped fillet. Both were excellently cooked and flavor was good. I've been coming to the Bozeman for about 8yrs now. The food has always been outstanding. I highly recommend the Bison or Elk hamburger. Cooked to order, fabulous flavor and it's 1/2 pound! I've had their steaks as well and they are just powerfully flavored and honestly prepared the best. Now on to the bad part. Every time I come here, every single time, the wait for food is excessively long. The food isn't cold at all...that's not ever been a problem. I'm talking 45+ min for a burger! And they aren't busy. Wondering if they are out hunting for the meat and have to process it first. I don't recommend you come here hungry. Come here before you know you'll be hungry and when your food finally arrives you will be ready to eat. The waitresses have never been rude or inconsiderate directly to me. But they all have the attitude that this is their 3rd job and are just tired of people. When they finally come around to check on you your either mostly done or forgotten what to ask them when you thought of something. Asked 3 times for extra napkins (and never got them) and when we mentioned something to the waitress about how disappointed we were she said she would have to get the manager. When the manager came over she understood our frustration about the over done $30 steak. We said we didn't want another $30 steak but please give our 4 kids a free sundae. The manager said I will give you one free sundae. Really, the steak cost $30 dollars. The manager finally said she would give all the kids a sundae. When we arrived at the restaurant it was empty except for a table of 12 seated in the first room. We were seated across from them despite the next room being completely empty. We asked to be moved there, however, the same waitress, Tracey, followed us over there to take our order. She explained she would be back as soon as she finished serving the table of 12. However, when she was serving the table of 12, she dropped a whole tray of 4 dishes on the floor which took some time to clean up and reorder. When she finally delivered our food it was cold. When I commented on it, she said, "I'm sorry you feel that way" and stomped off. Instead of apologizing, she was rude and condescending. My advice is, if you are travelling through Buffalo, WY, keep going unless you are prepared to eat cold food, be disregarded and disrespected. read more

Excellent steakhouse with a old feeling charm. This restaurant has a lot of history and it is worth checking that history out after your dinner. Take a walk around the restaurant and you'll see what I mean. I had the bison steak and it was fabulous. Also make sure you get the peanut butter cheesecake it is the bomb. read more

Ehhh the food was OK but way overpriced for what you get. It was one of the few restaurants open in town when we were there.

The burger patties have good flavor but they are pre made. You would expect local home grown beef. The service was great and the pricing was average. The two of us had lunch for under $30 with the tip. We will come back but I will be skipping the burgers. My wife had a salad and she loved it. read more

We have eaten at Bozeman's several times and the service has gone from bad to worse over the past couple years; slow service and orders are always wrong, from missing items from our orders to improperly prepared orders. Tonight was the worst yet. We put our names on the waiting list and were told a 5-10 minute wait. After 10 minutes, we went to the bar for a drink while we waited for a table and they said no drinks until you're seated. My husband offered to pay upfront, but they refused. We asked to be seated on the bar side where there were 2 booths available, but we're told the servers had large tables to take care of. After almost 20 minutes, they called our names to be seated in the dining side. When we reminded the hostess that we requested the bar side she said, and I quote: "Listen because I'm only going to say this one time. We don't have room right now on the bar side so we're seating you in the dining room." I said, "bad attitude much?" At that point, we cut our losses and left. We are Buffalo residents and will never eat at Bozeman's again. UPDATE: Today, 05/25/2022, we were served with a Trespass Notification in retaliation for this honest, albeit negative, review. Two people in our party had the 6 ounce filets, one person had the New York steak, and the fourth person only had cottage cheese. Another 30 minute wait for food. We had to ask twice for salt. The restaurant was out of prime rib and baked potatoes. To be expected at the time we ate. However, it would have been nice if our server had informed us before we ordered. Service was slow.
