I went to get gas and the pump was extremely slow, so I stopped at 1 gallon, went in and told them. Started my car to move to another pump and realize the Gallon never went in my tank! Went in to tell them they owed me ~$4 and they told me to call the Maryland Comptroller! Lol. Don't go to this station. read more

I have had cars serviced here for the five last five years or so. The service manager is very helpful and trustworthy. All the work I've ever had done has been excellent. On one occasion they did a fix for $30 that a body shop was going to charge me several hundred dollars for. read more

I was passing by and had a few minutes and my car desperately needed a wash. I know there are other car washes in the area but this happened to be convenient. It's a different kind of car wash because your car is parked and sprayer arms surround your car to do its thing. There isn't any track to have your car sit in neutral on or scratch up your tires. I just got the Express wash which put water and soap on the car. The high pressure wash was not that impressive and after I got to my destination, I wiped down the car and noticed a lot of remaining dirt. There were some remnants of bird poop on my car. So essentially it was like a rinse off and not truly a wash. I suppose you get what you pay for and I chose convenience over quality. I don't plan to get car washes from here again unless I am unable to try a better place. read more

I dislike writing negative reviews, but I strongly urge people not to bring their cars here. They may be very polite and kind, but ultimately they are not interested in performing the services they claim to offer. I brought my car in on a Thursday with a flat tire, and they told me I needed a new rim. This had happened to another tire one month earlier, and it took about 2 hours to complete in Pennsylvania. Being in Maryland, I let them put the donut on my car and agreed to come back in when the rim arrived. After not hearing back from them, I called Friday afternoon. They told me they got the wrong rim, and it would be impossible to fix before the weekend. I wasn't happy, since that meant I had to stay in town several extra days, but I understand sometimes parts are delayed and we just have to be patient. They told me they'd call me Monday. Again I didn't hear from them, so I called them late Monday afternoon. They said they didn't know where the part was. Then they called back to say it was on the way, and they'd call me that evening. They didn't, so I called them back, afraid the shop would close without hearing back - the man working had no idea who the dealer was, where the part was, or what was going on. No one had left that information for him. So I would have to wait yet another night - and for personal reasons, this was a major inconvenience. Fed up, I went to them on Tuesday. They didn't know where the car part was. No clue. They said it might be on the way, and might get there by that afternoon - another whole day I would have to spend waiting, with no clarity or assurance about what would actually happen. I took matters into my own hands, and went to the junkyard they had ordered the part from, who also didn't know what was happening, though they found me a new rim and tire and had it put on my car immediately. So it took six days to achieve something that a phone call or two on Thursday morning could have accomplished. Everything my car needed was there, just 15 minutes away - but no one at BP Harpers Farm Car Center bothered to confirm or double-check anything. They called me later to tell me they had found some rims to match my car if I wanted to come over - of course I did not. I'm very upset that they were only interested in fixing my car after I had gone elsewhere. They had six days to make one or two calls and figure that out, but they couldn't be bothered. They couldn't be bothered to tell me what was going on earlier, either - if I had known it would take six days, I would have taken my car somewhere else that Thursday morning and gotten it fixed in an hour or two, which is ultimately about how long it took after I went elsewhere. I warn you - they can be very nice, and that's great, I'm sure they're swell fellows personally. I understand there are mix-ups, and delays - but this one was so absurd, and so lengthy, and so completely avoidable. When it comes to providing timely service and keeping on top of information, they're not really interested until you come back in to the store, face them down, explain how absurd the situation is, and that they've critically inconvenienced you. I'm lucky I was able to work things out, but you may not be. If I hadn't taken my business elsewhere, I might still be waiting. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is as nice as can be, from the mechanics, to the cashier, and I've never felt as though they were just trying to make a buck. I trust them with all my car service needs, and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. read more

This station consistently has the HIGHEST gas prices in the area and should be avoided unless you like giving BP all your extra cash! Their prices are often 20 cents or more higher than other places! The station is run-down and often dirty - and it looks like the franchise owner puts the bare minimum into the upkeep of his location. The "convenience" shop is anything but - it locks it's doors at 7 PM so forget it if you want to stop by for a soda or a snack - they only sell what they can send through the carrier drawer. I live in this community and hate having to drive somewhere else to fill up because Harper's Choice is stuck with this guy. My car just hit 100k and as on queue started having issues. I work on cars so I can do some repairs time permitting. Took the car to one place and in my opinion was quoted too much for parts and too many hours of work. If I can complete the work in my driveway in 2 hours, I should not be quoted 3 hours by a garage. Did the work myself. When another issue popped up, I took the car to a second place. Again, was quoted for work that in my opinion didn't need done and was quoted too many hours. Finally brought the car to Harper's Farm BP. Mechanics were professional, did not quote me for any unnecessary work, and confirmed for me that what was quoted by the second garage did not have to be done at all. Harper's Farm Bp just earned my business going forward. read more

I tried to get my gas and other stations. It is a shame that my local gas station is the highest price that I've ever seen in my area. The quick Mart inside doesn't offer very much in variety. But the staff is extremely friendly and the garage seems fair and reasonable. So if you want to get your car repaired I would recommend this BP but if you want gas please don't go here. read more

This place a huge rip off, their gas prices are among the most expensive prices you can ever find at any gas station in state of maryland! HORRIBLE SERVICE. Brought my car in for a state inspection and was told it would be completed in 4 hrs and I could drop it off. 5 HRS pass and I hear nothing so I decided to return to the shop. My car HAD NOT been touched. I was then told they WOULD NOT be able to do it today because it takes an Hour and a half to do. This place completely wasted my time. Would not recommend this place, for anything car maintenance or the high gas prices. read more

I have had my car serviced here twice and they are very reasonable. I believe the gas station & the service station are separately owned but not sure. The service station has done a great job & has very fair prices. The gas station has ridiculous high prices and I hate stopping here to get gas. The mini mart doesn't offer a lot, but the staff is friendly. read more

Stay away from this place! Lousy service and irresponsible staff! Went into for an oil change and when it's time to pick up, my G37S won't start. The guy who changed my oil came out to give the car a jump in the process in doing it he went and slammed my door into the car that was parked to mine! I don't normally write reviews. Was looking for an independent shop to make a minor repair on my car. Generally, I do my own repairs but this one required a lift. On the recommendation of my wife's co-worker, I took the car to Harper's Farm BP. While I fully expected to come away with only an appointment (they were very busy), they worked me in almost immediately. I explained what I wanted done. They gave me a very reasonable estimate to which I agreed. I let the Service Manager know that if the work took longer than anticipated, I had no problem covering the additional time. He replied with a modest "not-to-exceed" price. The work was professionally completed to my total satisfaction and well within the estimated time / price. I was in-and-out in less than an hour. There were no hidden charges or fees and no attempt to sell me additional services. My thanks to the Service Manager and the mechanics for a most pleasant experience that exceeded my expectations.. read more
