The park is super cute. There's a lot of parking available in a small lot adjacent to the open area. There are two different sections to the park. Once it has a larger climbing in jungle gym apparatus set up then the other half. The swings are sort of divided. Half of them I just a seat while the other half are the entire enclosure for a child that is much younger. The park was kept nice and neat. There's no excess trash or anything falling or spewing out of the trash cans in there is anything flying around the yard. It seems like a pretty popular neighborhood park. It's a real small one but it's perfect for a little kid like mine who just needs to kind of get out some energy and get a little exercise. It was nice to you to be able to sit beneath the tree and some shade and watch my little one have a good time playing. read more

Small cute park did my son first birthday party about a month ago and is beautiful and quiet reason why I loved it so much ! has a venue bathrooms open space for picnics or parties has two playgrounds one for smaller kids and other for older has swings and tables! When I made me son his birthday parties I had been approached by many parents how does it work does the park allow having a party without renting the hall ? as far as we knew it was almost 600 I believe for venue it's a bit small but if small is what you like it's perfect ! comes with tables and a kitchen with a small private entrance on the back for fun activities to do. Bathroom on the side of the venue I made my son party on the public area 53 people attended to my son party I had called and asked if I need a permit and was told no! As long it's not more than 50 people and loud obnoxious music which could possibly disturb others but as far as we had the party no complains we had people asking for our freshly drinks we made very friendly people Parking could be a issue !!!!!!! Paved paseos weave through the 3 acres of beautifully manicured landscape. One large swing set sits between 2 children's jungle gym/play areas. There are 4 covered concrete picnic benches each conveniently including it's own bbq grill. There are 15 parking spaces w/2 reserved Handicapped parking slots directly in front of the community building & restrooms. If you find the lot to be full on a busy day, there is plenty of street parking on Flower. On the East end of the parking area, a full sized fenced-in outdoor basketball court takes up realty. My friend had his son's 1st birthday party here! They used the club house for everyone to sit and eat (there's a little kitchen area for prepping food), and it was air conditioned on a hot day. Tons of space, and super convenient. They had also set up tables and chairs outside for enjoying the cooler weather in the later afternoon hours. There are tons of trees around the park, so shade is plentiful. There were lots and lots of people/families at the park that day, enjoying the facilities. BBQs are allowed, and there is plenty of grass to spread out a blanket for a picnic. The parking lot is very small, so you may have a hard time finding a spot. Just be wary that you may have to park on the street! Other than that, you're bound to have a good time here. read more

You wouldn't think, looking at the area, that this is Glendale's oldest park. But it is, 1937. Recently reopened (2011) after a $3M renovation, it's a welcome spot of green in what is a very commercial bit of land, despite being not that far from Griffith Park. A nice neighborhood plot of nearly 3 acres offering a shaded walk under trees in a sea of concrete that also offers a playground, a community building, a dedicated parking lot, barbecues and covered tables. This park is super close to my best buddy's house, so we take my dog there sometimes. It's really great for her because she's a princess, and likes parks with both path (concrete or something similar preferred!) AND grass. Too bad a lot of the grass here is somewhat dry, and my princess hates the dry feeling on her wittle paws. :P Anywho, I REALLY like the little individual table/bench pod thingies that they have throughout the park. There's a large park bench with an awning as well as a small BBQ every 100 feet or so, so families can maybe have a little picnic barbeque with some privacy (well, sort of). I just think its a cool concept. There's also a good amount of seating, and an okay playground for kids. I like that it's all enclosed, too. I didn't go into the bathrooms, but they seemed pretty clean/new. Honestly, it's not the biggest or fanciest park, but I would give it a try. There's a path going around the whole park, and it's fun to walk your little doggie there, and maybe run around on the grass a bit. ;) Overall, it's a good little family park in an otherwise semi-industrial neighborhood. If you're in the way, give it a look, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for it. It can also get a bit more crowded on the weekends (as expected). read more

This review is more specifically about Summer Blast Camp that's held at Griffith Manor park. My 7 year old attended for the first time this year and was there for 9 weeks. She absolutely loved it! She made a ton of new friends and she adored the camp counselors and C.T.'s. at Griffith manor. They are all very nice and they made it fun for her, she looked forward to going back the next day. Every parent worries about living their child in the hands of strangers, but she would come home beaming about how kind the counselors and c.t 's were. And as long as she was happy we were happy. She's already made plans to go back next summer. And mom will make sure not to screw up the dates and short her 1 week of camp read more

While looking for a location for my daughter's birthday party, we came across this hidden gem and decided it was perfect. The park building is rented by the hour with a $200 deposit. On the day of the party the inside of the building was not what I expected. The floors were dirty and the walls were dirty and chipped. The city worker who let us in said the city should invest in remodeling the building but didn't know if or when it would happen. There were plenty of chair and tables. The worker was very persistent in letting me know that everyone had to be out of the building by the time stated in the rental agreement. He explained this several times before he left and several times during his check up of the event. The parking lot is tiny and many of our guest had to park down the block. Overall I love this park and the location, I just wish the actual building was cleaner. read more

I was looking for a place to celebrate my daughter's first bday and I am super happy I found this little gem of a park. I reserved the park building for 8 hours ($52hr) and a ($200) deposit. I also got the jumper permit which was ($35) and the permit to play loud music (at no extra charge). The facility has a full service kitchen and counters to place your food. It comes with 10 tables and 50 chairs. They also let you have food vendors as long as they are not inside the building. I had a taco vendor in the patio area of the park building which turned out to be great for my guests and I. The city of Glendale staff members were very friendly and helpful. They helped me set up some of the tables and chairs which was really nice. The park itself has limited parking but there's plenty of street parking. If you are looking to celebrate a bday or have to host an event this is a great place for that. read more

This park is mid-sized as far as Glendale parks go. It's not our favorite simply because the equipment is a bit smaller and geared towards younger kids. But that being said, because of the size, it does make it easier to keep an eye on everyone. Also, they turn the lights on when dusk hits, so if you go later in the day, the kids can still keep playing for awhile into the dark. Bonus points for that!! read more

Great park tucked away in near Dreamworks studios. Not crowded...great restrooms, and great playground areas for the kids. Love that it is not too large and it is enclosed. The parking lot is small so be prepared to park on the street but a gem of a park. Good bbq areas....nice shade all around and plenty of bbq tables to. read more
