I believe Hector has been resolving my plumbing needs for about the last six years. I first heard about Hector when he performed a number of plumbing services for my daughter in her home. She is equally happy with his work. We both request Hector every time we need plumbing services. We are willing to wait for his availability because he has proven himself to be a true professional in so many ways. Hector is such a nice man. He arrives ready for work and completes the job in an acceptable time if not sooner. He is always so very pleasant. He doesn't get frustrated or upset if things don't go exactly as planned. He is very diligent and works hard to resolve the problem. He always succeeds in resolving the problem on the spot. Something that is also important to me is that I feel comfortable having Hector work in my home. He is so personable, kind and friendly. Even if I am asking him a question he continues to work diligently on what he is doing. He does not waste time the company's time. He also doesn't make a mess. My Flume kicked up an alert that I had a water leak, and sadly after much personal elimination, I realized it was between the house and the water meter. For most people, this would be a blessing, but for us, it meant around 300 ft of mains pipe that turned out was buried under the drive. I found the leak detection specialists who spent a few sessions narrowing down the root cause by eliminating all alternatives, and then set about pinpointing. Once done, they tapped Chase on the shoulder and he came up to sketch out the steps we needed to take. Shore up the anomalies at the meter then excavate the pipe, fix and backfill. I think we saw 2 or three of his crews and tbh they were all really nice people... My only frustration is my retro game tee was correctly spotted and in a weak moment I stupidly said I'd get chase one if he gets me sorted :-) .. Well he did and it arrives in a few days so I'll be texting you Chase ! I think we were in the top 2% on a scale of difficulty finding the leak as it was a small leak .22Gal/min, well buried and under Asphalt. Its not a quick thing to fix as we were technically without running water to the house for around 2 weeks ( I cannot articulate how painfully stressful it was or how little fun it was to manually turn on and off the mains to fill the toilets and sinks for the day ahead as a military maneuver with my wife and I). I hate spending money but with he level of professionalism from both the Leak detection crew and Clifton it eased my wallet pain and they just delivered at a level that reassured us we were in the right hands ! I dont think Clifton come cheap but they deliver and I have a goto plumber now !... thank you ...

UPDATE (1/4/2017): Shelly of Reliable Plumbing reached out to me and we had a discussion about my…read moreexpectations, the services and warranties that come with the $2800 water heater. The water heater comes with 10 years' maintenance and warranty. So the annual fee I was paying for flush/service is now included. Great! That saves me about $125/year. I believe this is transferable to the new owner (that's what our Reliable technician explained to me but I'll have to check my warranty papers and will update this review once I do). Shelly further explained that the technician sincerely believed I would have hot water for the night and they are truly sorry for the inconvenience. I'm a reasonable person and understand that we can't always control outcomes and it would seem in this case, the technician made a fair assessment but unfortunately the end result was unexpected (and inconvenient for me). In the end, I have a fabulous new water heater with an exceptional warranty (fingers crossed) and I've decided to keep with Reliable Plumbing & Heating so they'll be back later this year for our annual water heater & furnace check up/service. All's well that ends well. Thank you to Shelly and the good folks at Reliable for reaching out to me and making things right. Appreciatively! ORIGINAL post (12/7/2016): The 50 gallon water heater replacement cost $2769. Sure it came with a 10-year warranty, but for the cost I could've bought two! My appointment was rescheduled twice, and "Reliable" showed up on day 3. The rescheduling caused me to re-arrange my work schedule three times to allow for that 2 to 4 hour window required. The appointment required a return visit. I was left without hot water for the night and without warning. Bird bath for me and couldn't wash my hair. Washed my face in cold water. Terrible. Ultimately got a new water heater but with much inconvenience and cost. Expected better from Reliable. I received their thank you card. Apparently whoever completes those cards has no idea about the actual customer experience. There was no apology or awareness of my dissatisfaction, though I called twice to express both items. Hope next year's plumber (may use different company) will do better. I've used Reliable for over 4 years. What a shame this last experience was so deeply disappointing.

I went back inside and he continued to contact his office, was told over the phone that they are required to tell this to customers before work is performed? Never has any other plumbing Company ever said this or required this before snaking a drain. The service tech actually had to call the prior plumber servicing our home to get advise since that individual had done work in same area prior. (Also was never told of Potential damage by that technician) Came back from appointment to a Broken Landscape Light post, just left laying in the ground broken at the post below grade. Someone had to try very hard to break this and not to mention no use care lugging their equipment around sensitive materials. Really? This is the Best service this company can do? This is the bottom of the barrel Plumbing Company on the central coast. Having someone work for your company with this terrible attitude is first a reflection of the quality of service they provide. Having to verbally accept potential damage to our property over the phone is the second. We have tankless water heater installed in our home for about 10 years. So I have decided to move on and thinking of going back to traditional tank water heater. So after searching here at yelp to find a local professional plumber I came across with Complete Plumbing with excellent track records and costumer feed back rating. I reached out to Mike told him my bad experience with our system and let him know that I'm replacing it however I mentioned the name and model of our water heater "Navien" he had to ask me twice lol. He says he's been installing this same heaters to a lot of customers with no issues, in fact he's got the same one installed in his home. So he came in that same afternoon for initial inspection, explained that he'll get it fixed without having to buy another system. As promised he came back two days later did thorough service changed configuration added parts. So it's been a week since he's last visit our Navien has been revived and working flawlessly without having to reset it enjoying hot water on demand.
