In town for a short visit and went here for breakfast. The exterior is dated but don't let that dissuade you! This place is excellent ! The hash browns with onions, raisin bread AND raisin bread French toast were particularly excellent. The bread is all homemade and so rare to find now at a restaurant - it is so amazing. Service is fast and friendly! Wide variety of breakfast and lunch options and some specials. Definitely worthy of the 4.6 rating. Having been here a few times now I'll say while their regular menu is kind of generic, their specials are awesome. As a result I bumped up their review some. Came with a party of 6 and we were seated right away, service was great and the food was even better. I would say definitely try the homemade cinnamon rolls, but they also have five different homemade breads. I got the sausage roll up which was sausage, egg and cheddar cheese rolled up in a jumbo pancake. It was delicious! Most of the party got one of the skillet specials and it looked really good. I also tried some home fries which were better than your typical home fry. Can't wait to visit family again so we can come back! read more

This is by far my favorite breakfast joint in the greater Rochester area. It's a mom and pop kinda shop and we bring anyone who comes to visit us from out of town. The cinnamon roll is a must for anyone who comes. It looks like a portion of well served diabetes but I promise you, you won't be disappointed. We have had anything from pancakes and waffles to omelettes and have never had a bad meal. They make their own homemade bread. Atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, quick service and delivery of food. I have come with as few as 2 people and as many as 14 and they turn the tables quick so the wait is normally not too long. I give this restaurant 3 stars which is an average over 5 times of buying breakfast or brunch there. On two occasions, the food was excellent. Cooked well, presented well, very flavorful. But on 3 occasions it was horrible. Once we got things on the wrong plates. Like my husband had my eggs but his hash browns on a plate and I had his eggs with my English muffin. (That's never happened to me before or since- BTW.) Another time my omelet and my husbands over hard eggs were runny. Not cooked. And it looked like it was just plopped on the dish. Yuck! The staff is always nice, the waitstaff is good - excellent depending. All in all- take a chance. You never know. read more

Would truly rate 0 stars if I could. We had an absolute nightmarish time at Brady J's. We called ahead, as we had a party of eight on a Sunday. We were seated within a few minutes which was great. However, we are convinced that we were completely forgotten about by the kitchen. We placed our orders and waited around for over an hour. During this time, we were not asked if we wanted any more coffee or even given an update on our food from our waitress. We frequently made eye contact with our waitress, however, after awhile, we're sure that she was avoiding us. We sent a member of our party up to check in on the status of our order and were told that we were next. Parties that had come in at the same time and even after us were being given their food and had finished their meals before we even received a plate. After a few more minutes, our meals started trickling out of the kitchen. Out of our party of eight, four got their full meals, one got half of their meal, one was given the wrong meal, and two of us were left without our meal (an omelette and eggs benedict). Our waitress kept assuring us that our missing meals were coming out. I was told that with my meal in particular, the chefs were having a hard time with poached eggs and that's why it wasn't ready (interesting that they would put an item on the menu that the chefs cannot make). Of our missing meals, after an additional fifteen minutes, we asked to have the omelette removed since it wasn't ready, and most of our party had already finished eating. We really didn't feel like waiting around much longer. At this point, I was still waiting on my eggs benedict, so I asked for it to be placed in a to-go box. In total, after over an hour and a half of waiting, the table next to us was served eggs benedict before I was even given my to-go box. The waitress came back and told us that the omelette (which we never received) and eggs benedict would be taken off the bill. However, we never received an apology. I was finally given my to-go so I could eat my breakfast in the car. Will honestly never be back. It was clear that our table was forgotten about and avoided, as we were not happy. We kept our frustration under wraps and tried to laugh off the situation, but it was truly a disaster. We definitely wish that staff would have just been honest with us rather than lying. If they had said they forgot about our table, we could have made an informed decision on whether or not to leave. To suggest that the chefs couldn't make a poached egg for eggs benedict, a regular menu item, is outrageous. The fact that we got there at 11:45am, were seated by 12pm, and didn't receive all of our food until close to closing at 2pm is unacceptable. read more

This small town girl who spent her childhood exploring diners with her Father is always in the mood for a warm, clean, comfortable place with great food and a smile. We got all of that plus a creative and large menu, complete with a velvety creamy potato soup that I nearly drank.
