I've sent multiple people here for service all with nothing but the best reviews I've heard from the people I recommended here. They are LEGIT I can't name one other mechanic shop in Vegas that I could trust to not hustle people over and it's been this shop consistently having 4 different vehicles here. The best part they have been every price from any other place I go to. I used them once to replace a broken caliper and LOVED THEM! I loved the work done by this place so much, that I recently drove from Phoenix, AZ to them to have my clutch replaced. AMAZING service and Josh is the BEST! I highly recommend these guys. Josh had my clutch repair done in 3 days (1 day was to get all the parts shipped to them from Phoenix). They treated me like family and even showed me the old clutch and parts. LADIES, if you have ever had a regular mechanic that tried to tell you the old line of "I found this or that wrong also......" these guys will NOT treat you that way. If you value your money and time don't come here. I made an appointment for 2 pm on a Tuesday, I came in at 1:25 and they did a brake inspection, they said the front rotors needed replacing, new pads were needed, the rear breaks were fine except for a leak in the cylinder, they gave me a quote of around 580 (that's including a full flush, keep that in mind) I said ok great let's get this done, at 2:30 I say hey what time do you think this will be done? they said around 5. I Ubered home and returned at around 4:50 and they hadn't even started on my vehicle yet, I asked what's going on and Jeff said, oh we didn't even get your rotors until 20 minutes ago, the shop closes at 5:30 so at least they could have called to tell me know they couldn't get the job done and to come back tomorrow if the parts were running that late. So now they start rushing to finish everything, at this point I knew there was no good outcome. At around 5:20 Jeff said come here and take a look we have something to show you "This part is really loose, this might have been rocking back and forth and the bolts might even be damaged or ready to shear off, we're not going to be able to finish this today" How the hell did you do a brake inspection and not notice the backing plate assembly was loose? Either the mechanic that did the initial inspection was incompetent or they were bullsh***ing me and temporarily loosened the assembly so they could leave at 5:30 and finish it the next day (it's really hard to believe they didn't notice the loose assembly when inspecting the cylinder) I said can we just tighten that up and get it done today?  The mechanic was very sarcastic sure I can just slap this back on here if you like and have you on your way. I said there's no way I'm going to Uber back home, Uber to work and back here tomorrow and waste my money because you couldn't deliver a simple repair on time or inform me beforehand that you wouldn't be done. They finished the job, and as I was paying I specifically asked Jeff "Hey did you do the Full brake flush?"  He said sure did, it's required when you replace the rear wheel cylinders. I checked my brake fluid reservoir the next day and the fluid is as black as oil (I'll attach a picture) I called Jeff and let him know they didn't do the Flush and reminded him when I specifically asked if they did and he tried to give me some bulls*** excuse, at this point, I was done with his Lies. He tried to say I rushed them bla bla bla, if I rushed them then why still charge me for the flush that they didn't perform, how could you not know the rear backing plate assembly was so loose. So they got me for 70 bucks on the flush and who knows what else, they probably didn't even replace the cylinders, the rotors and pads seem fine, but who knows at this point, I wouldn't trust this shop unless you want lies and bad excuses, if you look through the comments you'll see someone else got ripped off and told their sensor was replaced and it wasn't, I might even have an independent mechanic check if they even replaced the rear wheel cylinders. Just moved out here recently, figured i'd give these guys a shot at doing my oil/brake service. Nick and Jose have phenomenal customer service, very transparent and straight forward about necessary/uncessary repairs. Went in thinking I was going to spend $600-700 to replace my brakes and rotors, but after the free inspection, he let me know that I could resurface the rotors and scuff the brake pads to restore everything for just under $400 with brake fluid flush and full synthetic oil change... On July 16 I went to Brake Masters in hopes of getting an estimate to fix my brakes. I initially had a great experience , the mechanic seemed very helpful went over what was wrong and gave me an estimate. Going to the mechanic can be a stressful process, getting estimates, finding the right one, etc,. After getting the estimate I also inquired about my AC in which I was also given information. I took a few minutes to decide then noticed the mechanic becoming agitated. I told him that I would like to get the brake work done and also inquired about the drop off/pick up service that was offered. Someone would take me home and pick me up when the car was ready. This is when he changed and became clearly agitated. He no longer had time to take my car that day. I would now have to make an appointment for Tuesday and he was unsure about the drop off/pick up service. He also kept offering me coupons and telling me that he hopes it helps which I didn't understand. Everyone appreciates coupons but he made it feel like charity. Not sure as to why the change in mood I decided to just take my car elsewhere. I ended up trying again at a Brake Masters at the Henderson location. I really debated going to the same company but it was closer to home and I really need my brakes done. They were grinding and I could not wait u til Tuesday as was suggested. I took a chance went to the Henderson location, explained that I had a bad situation at the other location but just wanted my brakes done. I didn't give names or talk about it. I was just hoping to get my brakes taken care of and to be treated right as a customer. I gave the mechanic at Henderson my quote. They were too busy for drop off/ pick up service even though I lived down the street. I decided to let them do the work and because I was unable to pick up my car I had to pay upfront. While in the process of paying a mechanic comes in and says if your brakes are rubbing there may be other issues. You can pay now but there may be more cost. When he said that I lost complete trust. I was already spending a little over 1,000 for the work. He could have came back with anything and I would have been liable. Why not just re-examine the car and give me another estimate. What he was basically telling me to do was to leave the tab open. People like to know the cost upfront. So I said no because trust was gone and took my car elsewhere. Alright. So I'm sitting here in the waiting area waiting for my new brake pads and front rotors to get installed. I'm confident in that while reading recent reviews there are a lot of happy campers. AND it's clearly proof that customers are satisfied because a previous customer literally just came in and gave a gift card to the manager/owner, Don, as a thank you for taking care of his car's transmission as his car is running so much better and for working with him compared to all the other places. SAY WHAT?!?! If that doesn't instill confidence in the job they do here I don't know what will. (& what a thoughtful gesture from that customer. God bless him!) Plus it seems fairly busy with a good flow of customer traffic coming in and out of the shop. To me that's a good sign too. There's a vending machine with snacks and soda in case you get the case of the munchies while you wait. A co-ed restroom is there too but I didn't use it so can't tell ya if it's clean! There's also some windshield wipers for purchase but the selection is very limited. Anyway to bounce off what other Yelp reviews were saying this place blatantly appears to have top notch customer service. Don is quite personable, charming, and is fair. He worked out "economical" prices for my Cheap Ass. The prices here were slightly cheaper than me going to my dealership, which I always feel robs me blind. There also appears to be a camaraderie and a family vibe between Don and the technicians. Which is also pretty cool. And to add on to the customer service, I had an air filter on my passenger seat that I bought earlier at Autozone and the technician, Manny, offered to install that in my car too. Then once his brakes were done my car started over heating and they were able to fix that as well! The prices were very fair and they took pictures of what needed fixed so you could see yourself. You always get nervous going into car places (especially being a girl) that they're going to rip you off..Brake masters will take care of you! Super honest helpful team. Y'ALL if I tell you the best experience I've ever had at any mechanic was here! It's true. It's hard to find genuine people in Vegas let alone a genuine MECHANIC. had some work done on my truck there, 1st time, they changed my master cylinder ( rear brake was locking up), and adjust the brakes ( paid over $300 just labor, truck is old and parts are hard to locate, so I provided a brand new one). Was told it would take and hour, I sat in their waiting room over three hours, paid them and drove to work. Two days later, had to stop quickly, brakes locked up, called them and told them such, told be Bring it back and we'll check it out. Took it back to them last Friday, they adjusted the brakes all four asked them while tires are off the truck would it be possible to rotate tires, they are already off, they said sure no problem. Go to pick up truck on Saturday, was charged almost two hundred dollars to adjust the brakes and rotate the tires ( they charged me to rotate the tires $60.00 to rotate the tires that were already off the truck..... paid them... yesterday 12/21/23 brakes locked up again, called them and told them that the brakes are still locking up, told to bring it in they would make it right..... arrived at about 2:30 on 12/21/23 went to the counter, Hispanic guy with pony tail assisted me, explained what was happening , he looked it up on the computer and said we adjusted them on Friday, told they are still locking up...,. he shoves a BLANK INVOICE towards me and says sign this, tell him I already paid for this, I just want it corrected, he says sign this, ask why, he says so we can look at the truck.. I say it's blank, he says sign here.... I walked out... be careful don't ever sign a blank invoice anywheres, had the misfortune in the past to sign an invoice that was blank, got charged $3,000 for unauthorized repairs, was told you signed the authorization....just be careful... paid brake masters over $500 and brakes still locking up!!!!!! read more

I took my car in for a spark plug that flew out of its cylinder they kept my car for almost 3 days and gave it back to me in worse condition.. blinking check engine light and car was shaking. Took it a real mechanic and he told me who ever put that spark plug ruined my cylinder because they put the wrong size in and he couldn't get it out. Only option was a temp fix but eventually need a new cylinder because they messed it up. It's new owners and new workers and they are not as good and definitely not honest. Charged me almost 600 dollars for a spark plug fix. New mechanic told me after looking at my last two bills from brake masters that they ripped me off. I will never step foot into this establishment again and I have been coming here for 17 years. read more

Great experience. I was able to take in my car without an appointment. They did a free brake check and told me I needed new brake pads. I knew I needed new pads, so I wasn't surprised. The manager (sorry forgot your name) told me they could resurface the rotor, instead of getting a new one. He was honest, upfront, and professional. They were able to do it right away, which I was surprised. I came in the right time, because a few minutes later a quite few customers came in. I recommend making an appointment. If I could give negative stars I would. I brought a car in on May 30 for a power steering pump replacement. $1200. Drove it to San Bernardino (about 300 miles away) parked it until November 23. All the power steering fluid leaked out and it was dry. Put some in and drive it around Los Angeles and Orange County. Total miles since work was done: 1,200. Holds power steering fluid for only two days. Took it to Brake Masters in Santa Monica and they want $400 in labor to fix it. The Vegas shop won't cover the labor because labor is over 90 days. I told them it was parked for for six months and I've only driven it a total of six days since May 30 but they still want me to pay an additional $400 on a $1200 job that wasn't done properly, if it was even done at all. DO NOT GO TO BRAKE MASTERS EVER. THIS IS NOT A CHAIN THAT GUARANTEES THE WORK OF OTHER BRAKE MASTERS. MAYBE THEY DID NOT EVEN DO THE WORK ORIGINALLY!!! They probably just topped off the fluid and charged me $1199.61 even the Brake Masters here in's Santa Monica said the hose needed replacement and wants another $147 for that. Spoke to the owner of the Vegas branch (Ron Humvries) and he said "if you sold someone a dog and it dies, would you give them the money back?" (WTF??) I said , "yes I would!" Then he said if someone who owned the business before you sold the dog and it died, would you? And I said, "yes, because when you buy a business you buy it's mistakes too." (I own three businesses). I would want a happy customer, because they might buy another dog from me. (WTF?? Again) Anyway, I asked if he could make an exception on the warranty because I only drove the car for six days and he said no. If this guy wouldn't make that exception and make the customer happy, do you think he will make you happy? read more

Over the phone quote of 99.00, then a desk/counter upsell to 149.00 After I drop it off, the price jumps to$260.00. The owner later says "I can do the 99.00 job, but no one wants it. I had to inspect, etc. although I'd provided him with the inspection from my Hyundai dealer (who wanted $340.00 to do the same work). Then he said "it's normal, no one really expects the $99.00 job, I don't see why you're so upset, it's only $150.00. Overall ,the place felt sketchy to begin with. We went across the street to Meineke, got the job done at the expected/quoted price, has the same warranty, etc. My recommendation is to avoid Frank and the Brake Masters location. It's not clean, feels sketchy, and they seem to feel it's ok to bait n' switch. read more

Brought my car in with a check engine light on and asked them run a diagnostic on it. They said it was a misfire on cylinder 1, and they needed to replace that injector and all of the spark plugs. Initially tried to charge us almost $800, but when we asked for the itemized list we realized they were charging $220 for an injector (usually costs around $50-$90) and $30 per spark plug (which should usually be around $8-$10). We asked them to find cheaper parts because the prices seemed incredibly high. They were able to do so, we paid $500 and picked up the car the next day. The engine light was still on, and ran worse than when we dropped it off. We immediately took it back and were told if the problem persists that the ECU needed to be reset and they could have a third party come out and reprogram it for another $350. We decided to take it to another mechanic, who informed us that the problem could be a multitude of things, and that a proper diagnosis was not done the first time. Needless to say we will definitely not be returning to brake masters. read more
