I used to go to this Break Masters location for all my oil changes, since it's close and convenient. Staffs working there are very nice to customers, however I don't see anyone wearing face masks the last two times I went in for oil change. I don't mind that they are not wearing face masks when they are working outside, but if someone is working at the counter in a closed indoor environment they should be wearing face masks. That thin piece of plastic divider is not enough to ensure safety. Not only the staffs don't wear face masks, if a customer comes in not wearing face masks the staff won't say anything. As far as I know the pandemic is not over yet, and I felt very uncomfortable waiting in the waiting area seeing all these people without masks. The first time I thought may be people are still used to wearing masks, but I see now that they continue to ignore the safety of others. If they don't believe in seriousness of COVID that's their problem, I will be going to somewhere else from now on. read more

I took my car to this location expecting to have my transmission fluid serviced, but Sam told me it was in good condition and he could not in good conscious charge me for something I did not need. My car's problem turned out to be something different. I would gladly go back to this Brake Masters and would trust Sam for his advice and service. read more

i took my car here, was told i needed brand new radiator close to $500, the next week i started smelling something like dry rubber burning, i then was told my car was over heating due to some piece of rubber had melted off of the fan belt, 3rd week took my car back , they then told me it was another rubber part was missing from the side of the engine that was causing my car again to over heat, example...so when every my foot is not on the gas and the car is at a stand still point not moving '(such as anytime i stop at a red light and the car sits a long period of time it starts to over heat)' remember the first week i brought a radiator almost $500 2nd week had to get another part that was extra money 3rd week another part more additional money! call thier headquarters was given a direct # to speak to some guy... who voicemail came directly on..... i left my # the guy from their headquarters are wherever he's from did callback with a whatever attitude asking what all had happened, i explain all what happened from day one. this guy then tells me let me take a look into the computer system, only to tell me that brake masters put it in the computer system that i needed two other additional parts! and my car was still over heating... yes! i do believe that this particular brake masters hire 'young inexperienced none knowledge people of any car experience! remember you ""reap what you sow!!! brake masters your day is coming for each worker!!! who do and treat people wrong! a car is very important to people for many source of reasons such as work, school etc...... i had every piece of mind to call '(bbb)' on you all but....!!....!!!....!!!.... "god will take care of you all! it might not be dealing with your car! These guys used to be great, but they aren't anymore. Spent 500 there to fix my ac and after going back 3 times they still couldn't fix it. I then took it to EDS and they fixed it for 150. The management has changed and they lack a good work ethic. Had the oil changed there too and asked them to check the car, they said everything looked great and then I was in there 2 weeks later for struts that they didn't notice before because they didn't look. read more

I originally went to Brake Masters b/c I had received a Money Mailer, and like most waited entirely too long to get my brakes serviced. I'm talking metal to metal. Yikes!! Before deciding on Brake Masters, I viewed sooooo many different brake specialist reviews. Most places received both 1 star, and 5 star reviews. Not really many in between. To be honest I freaked myself out a bit. When I walked into Brake Masters, I was expecting some outrageous bill with having many more services suggested to me (according to the other reviews on Yelp), but it was not like that at all. First, they checked things out and only explained thoroughly what was needed. Second, they do have financing options available that can be used at both Brake Masters and Discount Tire. Win win!! Third, the staff are very nice and extremely helpful!! Fourth, the waiting lobby is very well cleaned and kept. It wasn't uncomfortable waiting b/c it was nice in the lobby. And lastly, they are fast!! I needed new brakes, rotors, and brake fluid clean and replacement. It took about two hours for EVERYTHING from the moment I walked in, until the moment I walked out. There is shopping and dining within walking distance as well, so it makes the waiting easier. I highly suggest Brake Masters for all your brake needs!! read more

These guys are scandalous! I went here a several times for my oil change because of the location. I took it in today and the Rep calls me to tell me that I have no air filter if I would like one. The last person to that took out my air filter was them. They removed my filter without my permission and then failed to tell me anything. When I picked up my car, they charged me for the air filter they removed in a previous oil change. They also had bogus recommendations and the man Wes smirked at me as if I did not know anything about cars. Wesley did mention he talked to his manager and the manager told him the air filter sometimes breaks when checking it, so they failed to inform me and charged me for their mistake. I am writing this review to warn anyone who drops off their car here. They will break things in your car so they can charge you to fix it. Then they try to scam you into purchasing unnecessary items. Do not go here, if you do go, do not leave premises. You're better off at the dealership. read more

I recently took my jeep to the dealer for a recall where they informed I needed rear brakes, rotors and the transmission gasket replaced. Needless to say, the repairs weren't done after they told me how much they wanted to charge. I looked/shopped around and saw some great reviews for this brake masters location. Ken was outstanding. He gave me a couple quotes over the phone so I decided to drop it off so could take a look (for free). He called me before any work was done to make sure I was good with the final price and approve the repairs. Ok, this place absolutely hands down is the place to go to get your car serviced! I own a Lexus GS and for years have taken my car to the dealer to get serviced. But after they quoted me $4600 for the replacement of 3 engine mounts I decided that I needed to do some searching and get a second or third opinion. Kenny is the manager at this Brakemasters and his operation came highly recommended. I called him, he greeted me at the door and within a few minutes his master tech looked at my car and told me that I "may" need them but it could be a few more years. AND, if I did replace them it would be $1700 and not $4600. I had them perform the 150,000 mile service work as well and instead of $1400 at Lexus it was less than $700. The master technician at this store apparently is very sought after, even by other Brakemaster stores, his name is Steven and he really knows his stuff. The manager Kenny believes in treating customers fairly and honestly, he builds his business on referrals. I am now a raving fan and this will be my new auto repair shop! read more

On 03/25/2017 I brought in my 2013 Ford Fiesta vehicle to Brake Master (store # 128) to have my brakes inspected. Their mechanic reported that my front brakes would need to be replaced and both left and right front rotors would need to be resurfaced. I agreed to the services. On 06/03/2017 I brought my vehicle back to Brake Masters (store # 128) complaining that every time I press on the brakes my vehicle would shake and make noises. After their mechanic inspected my brakes he concluded that the brakes pads were in good working order but both of my front rotors would need to be replaced. I discuss this issue with the store manager (Mike). I explained to Mike it seems unusual that my front rotors would go bad after two and half months of driving. I express to Mike that it appeared that the rotors should have been replaced back in March when my vehicle was service or his mechanic took too much off the front rotors when he resurfaced it. Mike stated to me "that since you are an expert on brake pads and rotors I should know that the Arizona heat and my driving habits can have caused my rotors to go bad". I express to him that I was not an expert but had some knowledge on how brake pads and rotors can wear down over time. I express to him that I did not appropriate him mocking me. He informed that his mechanic did nothing wrong and that my brake pads were in good shape but would need my front rotors replaced. He quoted me $300 to $400 to replace my rotors. I express to him after our conversation I did not trust him or his mechanics to work on my vehicle. I informed him that I will take my vehicle to a mechanic at a Ford dealership for a second opinion. On 06/05/2017 I brought my vehicle to Jonesford Dealership in Casa Grande to have a mechanic inspect my brake pads and rotates. I explained to the mechanic the problems I was having with my brakes and that it serviced through Brake Masters. I asked him to inspect my brakes and give me his opinion regarding my brake problems. The mechanic reported back to me in writing stating "performed brake inspection mechanical and hydraulic. Detected poor brake performance after isolating both axles. Removed calipers and bled free of air and found improper front pad placement. Reinstall pads to correct position. Reinstalled caliper RS and road test. Brakes operate normal however rotors were warped. Removed front rotors and replaced. Road test. All OK". read more

Since the management has changed a while back this location is always trying to up sell with unnecessary repairs and parts. Their pricing for parts is close to double that of a parts store or dealership. When I got my oil changed I got home a few hours later I went to leave and noticed oil on the ground in my garage. Got under my truck and the bolt connected to the oil pan wasn't completely tightened. Recently I got my brakes done and wasn't contacted about repair costs. They did the repairs without my approval on price and called me when it was done with the total. I left and noticed a lot of vibration in my steering wheel. Got home checked and found that one of the wheels lug nuts was not completely tightened. Needless to say I will not come back to this location and will not recommend them to anyone who listens. read more

Went in with competitor coupon which they gladly accepted, so I was extremely happy about. It was a complete oil change with 11 point inspection and top off the fluids in the car. I also had questions about my failed emissions. Granted Todd could have charged me for some kind of inspection but he know right away what the problem was. And he was right! Saved my hundreds of dollars! I only needed to have my car running at least 30 minutes before taking emissions test. Would go back to this place. read more

I had a leaking brake on my 1976 Land Cruiser. Brought it in around 9 am and was told by Kenny that it would take between 1.5 and 2 hours to get the parts and if I was OK with that since I had to wait for it. Told him it was fine. I also asked for an oil, filter, and lube since I had a coupon. I went shopping at nearby and received a call that my brake pads were soaked and should be replaced. I agreed and asked for a military discount. Kenny said he would throw in the oil change and lube for free. From there it turned into a comedy of errors with the parts. None of it was the fault of the staff at Brake Masters. They were very courteous and apologetic. After 5.5 hours my vehicle was ready. When I got in and started to drive off, the brake pedal went to the floor. I brought it back and talked to the tech who worked on the vehicle and he said it was fine. I told him it wasn't like that before and he told me that he did the best he could. He told me to bring it back and they would try to adjust it. After I got home I noticed that the vehicle had not been lubed. I called and talked to Mike and he said the tech must of missed it and to bring it back. Since it took so long to have it fixed in the first place, I wasn't excited about returning and have to wait again. I expected that it be done right the first time. The next day I noticed oil on my driveway. When I looked under the vehicle there considerable amount of oil that was not cleaned up after the change that was dripping. I took the time and bleed the brakes and now they feel like they did before I brought them in. I understand the delay in getting my vehicle fixed because of their supplier, what I don't understand is the lack of caring and attention to detail. read more

I took my 1 ton truck to these people for a COMPLETE brake job. It was the manager's day off and I was met by his ''lieutenant'' who was in one really lousy mood. After owning over 40 some vehicles I've learned to stand behind the vehicle BUT OUTSIDE THE BAY while my vehicle is being serviced. Hey, it's my truck and my money. This was the icing on the cake for the ''lieutenant''. I won't bore you with the gory details but he screwed everything up. The next day I met their field supervisor back at their garage. This guy must have been a "FULL COLONEL'' because it was ''yes Sir, no Sir'' all the way. He made them put everything right and had me stand INSIDE the bay to watch them. Then, just to make sure I was happy he refunded all my money, over $450.00. Yes, I wanted to give then a one star rating, but I just couldn't do it, How many garages would stand behind their work with their wallets ? went in to have my brakes looked at they have been squeaking the past few days. the new management team was great big guy victor was friendly and helpful the new shop manager was great as well. mike the new manager told me i did not need any new brakes on my car he took me out to my car showed me that there was lots of life left and explained that due to the recent rain the brakes got wet and it is common for brakes to make noise when wet. i could see the brakes were good so i said thanks. they did not try to make me buy anything. it was great. and sure enough when the roads dried up the noise went away....... thanks mike and victor for having integrity... i will be back.. read more
