First word that comes to mind, Rude. This is solely directed toward the guy working the front desk with the Jimmy Neutron hair. When he addresses you he is very short and has a rude tone. I had an appointment at 9:00am for my brakes. I was called around 11:30 with an update that all 4 wheels needed new brakes, rotors and I needed a caliper on the back right. Was quoted 1600 something. Seems a little steep. Went to go pick up my car because I needed to grab my kids from school. Jimmy Neutron was very rude and said "you were supposed to call me we need to put your car back together". Understandable, I had no issue with waiting. Just the issue with his poor communication skills. Anywho, after I left, I reviewed the quote they provided. Decided to call around to see if the price was that steep elsewhere. Of coarse it wasn't. Looking forward to taking my car into a non-commissioned mechanic. I doubt that all that was "recommended" here will even need to be addressed. I strongly don't recommend! I went in for a simple oil change, l left with a stripped out oil pan leaking oil like crazy. Which was almost four hours later. They said I would be right in and out. They had a young looking kid working on my car looked straight out of high school. Also when I left the car filled with smoke from oil burning off my motor and exhaust pipes the kid had spilled all over it. Brake masters tried to tell my the pan stripped because the car is old. Things do not strip just because they are old. They strip when they are over tightened or cross threaded. I had to take my car to another mechanic to have it repaired. I should sue brake masters but I know they have lost my business forever. read more

I came in for a break pad install for my car and they said it would take 2-4 hours so I called them 4 hours later and they said it would be done in 20 mins when I arrived I saw it still up in the shop and I asked if it was done they said it would take a few more hours saying the worker had been on lunch then I went back home confused, a few hours later they said that I would need to replace my disks as well knowing they were in good enough condition to leave and I didn't know at the time but they replaced them and charged me $360 more and I went along not knowing my disks were not in bad shape so then they called me literally 10 minutes before they closed to pick up the car so I couldn't make it to pick it up. Throughout the whole process the employees kept hanging up on me early and were just straight up rude. I recommend you get your work done somewhere else not a honest establishment read more

My car had a re-call issue a few months ago and I had to take it to the dealership. They fixed the problem and gave me a quote for the brakes which was close to $900. I left thinking, yeah right. My car is a Fiat 500x. Not only did they work on my car and have me In and out within an hour they also did my brake work and gave me an inspection as well for a fraction of the cost of what other shops were charging. Very happy so far with all the work that Brake Masters has done on our vehicles. Our last experience my Yukon needed a look over the transmission and 4x4 was acting up. They looked over my issue callled me to inform of the parts needed and came up with a plan on how to fix it. Not only did they fix my issue they also aligned my suspension as well " no charge just felt like it was pulling it was I was told" so we did that for you. Wow appreciate that extra service. Overall it was a two day fix but done when they said it would be. My one thing we all expect when dealing with Auto mechanics is TRUST and so far I trust them to be honest. Took them 4 tries, 4 different sets of brake pads for my Audi Q7 bakes to not squeak when stopping. Recently had to return my GMC Sierra after the brakes were done there a couple months ago. They cleaned the "dust" of the pads and said they were good to go. Started making noise a week later. Made another appointment to drop my truck off. Lady helping me took my key FOB and gave me my keys saying they didn't need them. I responded saying "pretty sure you need these keys to start the truck". She was adamant they didn't need my keys, just the FOB, and would call me in 2 hours when it's done. I asked 2 more times that they keep my keys in case they needed them, they said no they're not needed. 4 hours later after not hearing anything, I called them and was told they haven't started working on it because I took the keys with me. Didn't even attempt to call me to get the keys. Can't make this stuff up, sheer incompetence. On a positive note, my Uber status is through the roof due to the amount $$ I've spent on rides to and from this location. Small win I guess. read more

I had an appointment for 8 AM and 3 hours later my car still wasn't been pulled into the bay. There were several who arrived after me that seem to know the manager who had their car serviced first ahead of me. I asked the front desk when my car would be taken a look at. The person at the front desk mentioned it would be the next car pulled into the bay. It was not. Made me wonder what else they would lie about. Techs at this Brake Masters did not tighten bolts to control arms being replaced on my car, they loosened within 5 weeks, causing a dangerous condition and added cost at another shop to fix. On a separate occasion, they neglected to properly clamp a hose while replacing water pump and thermostat, as a result, I got an engine light warning, the car overheated - only drove 6 miles from the Brake Masters, I did not make it home, lost the use of the car for 2 days and had to pay another shop to finish the job right. Go to this Brake Masters at your own risk. The front desk folks are pleasant enough, but their work is shoddy and possibly dangerous! read more

Then took over 3.5 hours to replace the brake pads!!! I sat there and watched several customers walk out angry about the amount of time this place takes. Made an appointment for 9:15 AM for a simple oil change and filter. Like an earlier post said, an appointment was useless. It meant nothing. The parking entrance had two cones blocking off the entrance even though the lot had some available parking spots. I had to park in an adjacent lot. I entered the office and noticed two employees, a female and a male. Neither one looked up or spoke to me. I waited 11 minutes ( yes, I clocked it) and finally the male spoke to me. I stated that I had an appointment. He didn't ask my name or look at the computer. He asked what I needed and I told him. He said it would be two hours minimum probably longer. I asked him what was the point of me getting an appointment. He shrugged his shoulders and didn't respond. I told him I was cancelling the appointment, that he didn't even look up and he rolled his eyes, turned around and walked away. That was enough for me.. Went somewhere else, paid a bit more but was worth every penny read more

Went in for an oil change on '99 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. Paid $150 for service. Then technician came out with a list of problems he found. Said could not grease the joints as all the rubber boots were blown out and would not hold grease. Said serpentine belt was delaminating. Said engine head had an oil leak needed a new gasket. Got home and checked for leak in head gasket, no leak found. Serpentine belt looked good ( only 22k miles on it). About 3 months later I had a front end alignment at an alignment shop and they greased all fittings and there was no problem with the boots. They checked serpentine belt and advised it was in good shape. As for the head gasket leak, the oil over flow/breather tube, located midway down the engine block, was greasy-- normal for a diesel. The head and other components had been replaced 6k miles prior to this oil change. SO, if you want an expensive oil change and really bad advice this the place for you. read more

In my experience, Brake Masters charged me worth $992.29; according to them, it cost less than the dealership, which is not valid. This is a sign of a red flag. I ask them to install my car's rear drum, shoe brakes, and brake pads. I waited a couple of hours and finally, it's finished. I got my keys off for a spin and saw how the condition of my car was for a few days. Then, I've started to notice a high pitch noise coming out of my car each time I've taken a turn and used the brakes, so this seems off, so I went back to Brake Masters to do a brake inspection. As a result, the manager told me there's nothing wrong with the brakes, and it seems fine, but they didn't find anything wrong. This is part of another red flag for concealing the brake inspection information. I hear a high pitch noise coming from the car. Isn't it quite odd for a brake inspection. According to the dealership who did the brake inspection and found results and that is rear drum brakes found right rear drum brake adjusted too tight, back adjuster and test drove found noise return, removed the rear, and found the right bottom wheel adjuster not backing off, recommended replace left, and fitting rear brake shoe adjusters and hub nuts and evaluate the system as for Brake Master, another red flag for a failure for safety issue. From what I see, I am being charged for more money since I've paid $992.29. Let's go back to the word Trust is never to lie or conceal information from your customers; it gives you an honest break. How about dishonesty for the service you cause, delivering excellence? How about lousy service and insulting your customers being unprofessional. I remember one of the mechanics from the window I saw. He laughed sarcastically that it seems he won't fix the issue with my car and will make it worse instead. For the manager, he's not helpful and unprofessional and, from his face, is showing lies, deceit, distrust, and dishonesty. The way I see it, they will make it worse, so I keep coming back for more repairs, and they charge me more money as in pay per visit. The cause of my workdays to be canceled since it cost me more money, car service repairs for all the lousy service repairs the way I see it I don't recommend coming to this place. The way I see it there is no peace of mind, terrible service, unprofessional, and expensive cost. If you want a customer to gain back your trust, please don't lie and need a service recall--the result of a loss to one of your long-time loyal customers. read more

However, that seems to have been pointless. I waited for nearly THREE HOURS for my oil change to be done. My car wasn't even brought into the service area until after 4:00. So relieving to find a place that can take my car on a Saturday with no appointment to do a bunch of work at the same time. Brakes were overdue for some love, was fully expecting to do full pads and rotor replacement. Additionally, needed an oil change, coolant flush, and some other little stuff. From the first phone call, the folks here were super friendly and helpful, received a call detailing their findings and recommendations, with absolutely no upselling or scare tactics. They told me frankly that only the rear brakes needed work, and that the fronts had tons of life left in them. They treated my dollars like they would treat their own. Got the car back after a few hours, and she's happy. Highly recommend this professional and exceptionally friendly shop. Great people. read more

I would not goto this location unless you have all day to wait. I made an appointment today for 11am to get a brake inspection showed up 15 mins early. It took almost 3 hours for them to even look at my brakes. After I approved to have the back rotors replaced and all 4 pads it took them another 3 hours to do it. 6 hours in all. The store manager Nico's customer service skills are atrocious he should stick to being a mechanic. I witnessed him deal with 4 customer complaints in my 6 hours there 3 of which were valid and two of which were 100% his fault. His way of dealing with complaints is to argue and yell at the customer until they stop complaining. I will goto the Roseville brakemasters from now on. The other guy working the front did the same to two customers i guessed be learned it from Nico. Also your business license and fire permits are expired. read more

Had an appointment to get my oil changed at 10 am. Dropped vehicle off at 8 am and was told I could pick it up at 430 pm. Arrive at 430 and my vehicle had not been serviced. I was told my vehicle would be serviced next. When I asked how the vehicle had not been serviced yet when my appointment was at 10 am the managers response was "we're short staffed and it's hot as hell".....however there were 6 other cars being serviced at the time so when I asked if all those cars had appointments before 10 am is that why they were being serviced before mine the manager just repeated the same response about being short staffed at the temperature.... Terrible service, not even an apology. I've brought both my vehicles here and my company vehicles here to be serviced over the years..time to find a new spot. read more
