They're nice people, but terrible technicians. Here's my issues with them: The technician sheared a bolt while removing my old brakes and they tried charging me for the replacement part. My problem isn't that they sheared it. My issue is they lied. Their representative told me they never use impacts and only use hand tools when they work on brakes. I was standing outside watching him work with an impact. It's such a dumb thing to lie about. I had an appointment for a tire and brake change. It still took them 4 hours to even look at my car. It took them 8 hours to finish the job with an appointment. I watched them turn away other people with appointments because they kept taking walk-ins with a short staff. The management doesn't look at your appointment before you come in. I promise you. They told me my wheels were in desperate need of an alignment. By the time they finished, my wheels were still in the red and they had only moved one of them. They said it was due to the "manufacturers specs." That's not how that works. I had an a/c line break 4 times (replaced by this Goodyear twice) and they could not diagnose the problem. They said they could do a dye test and accidentally sprayed dye all over the inside of the car. They didn't bother to find out where it was leaking from. The entire point of a dye test is to see where a leak is. I asked them to diagnose a rattle in my engine compartment. They said it was the exhaust pipe. It wasn't. My motor mounts were worn and my engine was vibrating. TLDR, they will waste your time and charge you hundreds of dollars to create more problems. I've been bringing all my cars here for about seven years. When they first opened, the quality of work and service were great. Unfortunately, it has slowly deteriorated over the years to the point that I've decided to take my business elsewhere. Most recently, I made an online appointment for three services: tire rotation, oil change, front differential service. When we picked up the car, we noted they had serviced the rear, not the front differential. We had to wait another hour or so while they completed the actual requested service. Upon returning home, we noticed they also didn't perform the tire rotation (so 2 of the 3 requested services were done incorrectly or not done at all). I called and asked if they would put me to the front of the line if I came back in to have the tires rotated, and they assured me they would. When we arrived, they told us it would be a two hour wait. Given the many missteps, the correct response on this would have been to pull a tech off another job, have him put in the 10 minutes to rotate my tires, and get me on my way. But they couldn't be bothered. On my previous visit, we had four tires installed. I asked them to check the TPMS sensors because I thought one or more of them may have been failing. Upon picking up the car, I noticed the tire pressure light was still lit. I asked them about it and they assured me it would turn off after driving a few miles. It didn't. I returned to the shop and asked if they had checked the TPMS sensors like I'd asked. They had not. When they checked the sensors, one was bad, and they tried to charge me full labor to replace the sensor, even though it would have been included in the tire mounting labor if they had done it when I'd originally asked. They finally agreed to waive the labor, but again I had to leave the car for several hours. This shop has also stopped giving paper estimates. They request that you sign a screen when they orally tell you the estimate, but the screen is blank, so you can't see any of the services or the prices for each service. I might have caught some of their mistakes in advance if they had given me an itemized, written estimate in advance as they are legally required to do. Goodyear, if you're reading this, please don't bother with the AI-generated response that you've given 14 other one-star reviews. If you're interested in addressing your quality issues, don't put the burden on the customer to burn yet more time by calling your corporate office...YOU reach out to the customer. Or better yet, just read the multiple one-star reviews and address the problems. read more

I have done all my repairs with this Goodyear. Besides being very friendly. They are very helpful. I recently experienced a flat tire. When I got home I then realized that my spare was also flat. The next day I had my car towed in to them. I had 2 new tires put on. They were fast . And had me back on the road . I love their tires. Fast Oil change on Wednesday. Cool waiting room with t.v. Coffee and or cold water if you would like . Instead of waiting you could drop it off walk over and enjoy a movie at the theater. Several pick of restaurants to have lunch. Or do some grocery shopping at grocery outlet and Dollar tree. Sportsman's is right there. Get some steps in. read more

Do not EVER go to a GoodYear for anything (especially brakes) even if it's the last place open or available. You will genuinely be better off waiting for another place to fit you in than coming here for the work done. In December of last year I made an appt for my brakes, when I dropped the car off was told there was no one there to do brakes that day so it'd wait until tomorrow, I said okay, a few hrs later I was called and told my car was ready to be picked up and the brakes were all replaced and the rotors needed to be changed too. All came out to around $1400 but I was glad it was done. The next day, the brakes are STILL squeaking and loud and no different from before. I went back, asked them to check it out, they said they'd re lube them or do whatever under warranty to correct it, once I picked it up and drove home, they were STILL loud as hell. Fast forward to today, only 9 month later, I finally get the time to take it in again but I brought it to Midas instead cause I already didn't trust GoodYear at this point. They checked out the brakes and the pads were cracked and had already etched grooves into the so-called new rotors that GoodYear put on. The technician thinks they might've dropped the rotors, put on old ones, or just never even actually replaced them to begin with. Another $1750 down the drain to fix what GoodYear was too incompetent to do. DO NOT EVER GO HERE. I wish I could give them a 0 star or even a negative star review. read more

Second time here and still the same issues.... Scheduling an appointment doesn't seem to mean anything here except that your car will be worked on at some point. Both times I had appointments, but my car wasn't even looked at until over an hour after the scheduled appointment time. Once they actually started the work (alignment check), it only took 30 minutes to finish. After reviewing my receipt and quote I notice I was charged almost $400 for "miscellaneous brakes parts" but had my breaks done at another business prior to bringing my car to Goodyear. I looked up the support bracket they said I needed in order to replace the cv joint axel and see them priced between $65-$150 (no where near the $392 I was charged not including the labor! I was offered a coupon for a free oil change but will not be going back. Made an appointment online for 2pm. It said online that pickup would be 3:30. We drove all the way from Lincoln so we could hang out at lucilles while we wait. We go to check in and we are told the car will be done "by closing" (6pm) and that at earliest it would be done by 4:30-5. Absolutely ridiculous to give a time online and then just say "tough $hit" when people come to drop off. You should at the very least call and say what the ACTUAL pickup time will be. We were overdue for an oil change, and the dealership and Firestone, where we usually take our vehicle, were booked out weeks and several days, respectively. This Goodyear location is close to home, so we decided to try them out. Online scheduling indicated the synthetic blend oil change would cost $65. That seemed a bit high but reasonable. I made an appointment and 2 days later showed up. The guy who greeted me was neither friendly nor unfriendly, just neutral. He went out to the van, got the mileage etc, came back in and printed out an invoice which stated it would cost $100. No explanation was offered, so I asked him why it was so expensive, and he said Honda required full synthetic oil. He said he could not put anything else in it. I found this odd because the dealership always uses synthetic blend (and charged around $50). Really wanting to get the oil change done that day, I reluctantly agreed. The guy said it would be done around closing time, 5pm, and they would grab me when it was done. I told him I was not waiting there, and if someone could call. He said to just show up at 5pm. I guess that was a no. We showed up at 4:25 and found the van in the parking lot with the passenger window completely pulled down and all the doors unlocked. My wife was not amused by this. The guy who checked us out was definitely friendlier than the first one. I paid and was on my way. I went home and read the car's manual which stated "You may also use synthetic motor oil if it is labeled with the API Certification Seal and is the specified viscosity grade." These guys lied to upsell me to full synthetic, and I think that's pretty crappy. I will plan ahead next time and go to the dealership or Firestone in Lincoln. If you want to get scammed into paying $100 for an oil change for which your dealership might charge $50, choose this Goodyear location. read more

WISH I COULD GIVE THIS AWFUL, INCOMPETENT establishment ZERO stars!!!!! Second time we have been here and experienced an unbelievable amount of annoyance from the lack of communication, support, and complete inability to DO YOUR JOB. Our first time here we came in for vehicle inspection on a brand new car 3 day old car that took over 24 hours and when we followed up we came in contact with a grumpy short man who was rude and explained how they were too busy to get it done. "SORRY." Fast forward to today, had our tire checked for a simple slow leak and when they couldn't help us at all with a new tire or repair, they said they would leave our car in the parking lot with the key inside for us to pick it up after closing. WE ARRIVED THERE THIS EVENING TO FIND OUR CAR, UNLOCKED WITH ALL WINDOWS DOWN (with tools and an IPAD inside) behind the garage doors. Unable to get to our car. Sat on hold with Goodyear after hours care - no one was able to help me. Just got the blah blah blah from some "cops" that say they are off duty sergeants. Ya must be super impressive to be working night shit for customer service. My husband cannot go to work tomorrow not only does he not have his car, but he doesn't have his work clothes or iPad or tools. THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE IN ROCKLIN city limits. Last month (Nov. 2024) I took my Toyota Rav4 in for an oil change and replacement of a rear brake light bulb. The mechanic also did the "complementary" tire and maintenance inspection. About an hour later I received a call from one of the service managers saying that the mechanic had found a number of other issues that needed to be fixed. The list was very long and the total cost was over $1,500! With discounts it would be just over $1,400. I had driven the car less than 2,000 miles since my last inspection with the Goodyear on Pacific St. in Rocklin (which is now closed) and the mechanic there had found nothing wrong with my Rav4, so all I paid for was an oil change. Because my experience there had been positive, I thought I could trust the people working at the Goodyear on Lonetree Blvd. in Rocklin. I was wrong. Hours went by and then the service manager called to say that the mechanic had run into a problem. He kept trying to install a cam bolt when doing the wheel alignment, but it wouldn't fit and he'd had to order another size. To me, that was the first indication that this mechanic didn't know what he was doing. It was almost closing time, so I said I'd pick up my car the next day. The major problems showed up when I drove my car off the Goodyear lot the following morning. I immediately noticed my steering felt much different--looser and with more play than ever before. The steering wheel also pulled to the left. These were both signs that something was wrong. As I turned out of the parking lot my steering wheel, which before moved slightly to make a simple turn, now made two complete rotations and two more when coming out of the turn. With each turn I've made since then, it has done the same thing, I know my Rav4 well because bought it new and have been driving it for years. This mechanic had done something wrong to my alignment and steering. I decided to drive my car for a couple of weeks to make sure. When I took my car back to Goodyear I gave the service manager a note to give the same mechanic so he'd know what was wrong. An hour later, the manager called to say that the alignment was off and had to be corrected, but there was nothing wrong with the steering and all he'd done in the first place was to flush the system and refill it with fluid. So, he'd made a mistake with my alignment! That meant he was either incompetent or negligent, which also meant he probably messed up my steering as well, but wouldn't admit it. I asked to speak with the mechanic, but the service manager said in a harsh manner, "I'm the service manager and you can talk to ME about it!" I told him that as a customer I had the right to talk with the mechanic. He said he'd have him call me after his lunch break. I waited almost an hour and a half and then I called. The manager said the mechanic wasn't back from his break yet and that he'd gone somewhere with another mechanic. The store manager was on vacation, so maybe the mechanic was taking advantage of that instead of doing his job and fixing my car. I finally got to talk to the mechanic and he said he'd go for a test drive with me, but that he'd only flushed the steering system and that's all. When I arrived at Goodyear, the service manager said that HE would go for the test drive with me and not the mechanic. He claimed that they'd both been on speaker phone together when talking to me and that he had actually been the one talking, not the mechanic. It was all strange and dishonest, like they were trying to hide something from me. During the test drive, the manager kept making excuses when I showed him the many rotations the steering wheel made, like, "A lot of Rav4s do that." and "Maybe when you first bought the car it had been sitting on the lot for a long time, so the steering was different." Finally, although I said I was really unhappy with the service and knew something was very wrong, he told me to sign the papers so I could get the car back. I told him I wanted the store manager's name and number. He couldn't find his business card, misspelled his name, and never gave me his phone number. I ended up having to take my car to a reputable mechanic in Rocklin who belongs to the Better Business Bureau and has great reviews. I couldn't afford to have him check it thoroughly after the $1,400 I'd spent at Goodyear, but asked him to flush the steering system again, using Dextron fluid, hoping that might help. He said, correctly, that flushing it probably wouldn't correct what the other mechanic had done, but he did it anyway because I had to give it a try. Unfortunately, it didn't fix the problem. He did find that the power steering reservoir was black and needed to be cleaned or replaced. He said that he was surprised the Goodyear mechanic had neglected to do that. I'm still very upset and concerned that whatever the Goodyear mechanic in Rocklin did to my steering system (and possibly alignment) will negatively impact my Rav4. I'll never go back there again! read more

I've never used GoodYear till 2 months ago. Perhaps the biggest mistake I made. I am handed the keys to my car after all 4 new tires installation. I'm 50yrs old so not my 1st rodeo. As I leave for my appointment, 1/2 down the road I hear a tapping sound coming from front passenger wheel. I am feeling like my car should be like the batmobile since it's got 4 new tires as I'm sure most people do with such high dollar purchase. Turned out they had failed to tighten the lugs on that wheel. So they take a look at it and in process broke a stud. That was 3mths ago. 3 days ago I go in and ask for a rotation and they do the same thing to me again. Forgot to tighten lugs on exact same wheel. Now they trying to say something shifted or moved. I came in yesterday at midday to get a full service oil change and tire rotation. I stood in the lobby for about 10 mins while several employees came and went, each trying really hard to avoid eye contact. Finally I went to the garage entrance where a tech told me to go back into the lobby and wait for someone. Eventually another tech came but he told me that he was down to just one guy and that I'd have to come back another day. In fact, he told me to come in first thing today (8am) and he'd be able to take me then. So, I came back this morning and the guy working up front gave me side-eye like I was trying to sneak my vehicle in. He told me in a very rude and exasperated voice, "I might be able to work your vehicle in today but not until 5pm at least! (It's 8am)". It's fair to say that being treated like that felt pretty bad. I urgently needed a valve step changed on our travel trailer goodyear trailer tire since we needed to leave for a family vacation. I called the Lonetree Blvd Rocklin location and they said they would change the valve stem at no charge. I brought the trailer tire to the Rocklin Goodyear and that team was like a NASCAR pit crew. They had my tire fixed by the time I finished one of their cold bottles of water in the lobby. It must have been maybe 15 minutes and I was on my way back to my travel trailer with the fixed trailer tire. This occurred on Thursday, October 12, 2023 around 1:00 p.m. and I really want to thank the team who was working that day and time for making my family happy campers - your team was awesome. I originally wanted to take my Passat to the local VW dealership. We live in Rocklin and local is not so local when it's 30 minutes away. With that being said, when I entered this location I was not quickly greeted. It is super STRANGE to me that the car techs are also the same people who check you out. Just seems odd. Got my oil changed. Of course they tried to up sell me on something. Left and within two hours my low tire pressure light came on. Had to go back the next day to find out they never checked the air in my tires. Luckily they are super close to where we live and across the street from a Starbucks. That is there saving grace. Wow... I consider myself an expert on customer service (a nearly dead or dying art form in the world of business), by the school of hard knocks. Damon and his team here are INCREDIBLE. My wife and I will now skip the dealership and ONLY come to Damon. When EVERY shop in town was short on the phone, impatient, and unable to service my classic restored 94 Dodge RoadTrek anywhere in the near future, he not only listened carefully and patiently on the phone but was paying so close attention that when I arrived he remembered every issue I was having. He has the best attitude and I can tell really enjoys making people's lives a little better by offering a quality and overall kindness to his customers. They fixed some brake lubrication issues, did a synthetic oil change, rehabed my headlights (something I'd been wanting done forever, but couldn't ever get a shop to remember to do or even be patient enough to offer it) and he immediately jumped underneath my mammoth RV/Conversion to see how old my tires were and consulted with me for 15 minutes on an off road upgrade I was interested in. I literally could go on an on... Because this form of service, patience and attention to detail, just doesn't seem to exist anymore. On top of all of this, he overhead I was trying to Uber home and personally gave me a ride in their shuttle 2 miles back to my house. I would give them zero stars if I could. My wife went in there alone with our car to get an oil change. Just an oil change, that's it. She called me a bit later stating they where performing $400+ of work, stating it needed an alignment and air conditioning maintenance, etc. Mind you, the car is 2017. I called the location, and told them that we only need the oil change, but the individual stated they already performed work on cleaning the ventilation system. I had them stop the current work, and cancel everything but the oil change. Ended up eating the cost to clean a vent. I ended up taking the vehicle to a trusted mechanic to look it over, and it was blatantly clear that misinformation was given. Alignment was perfect, no mildew in the ventilation system, and the compressor was spotless. I know it's common knowledge that these types of businesses take advantage of women who are alone, but this was abhorrent and obvious preying on my wife in an attempt to get some extra money out of her. Any company who can lie to your face like this is shallow, distrustful, and a disgrace to other smaller businesses who are struggling during this time. Do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else. read more

We took my car in for an oil change. I was told it would take until they closed, but they were able to get me out in a few hours. My tire pressure light turned on during the drive home. The next day it rained and as I drove to work in the morning I kept hearing this scraping sound. I worried my tire was completely flat. I pulled over and they were looking fine. The drive home I kept hearing this scraping sound and I looked under my car and my panel was hanging. It was not screwed back into place. I left a voicemail with no return call so my husband called and was given the run around. The guy he spoke with blamed my driving and "that there aren't any bolts on the ground in the shop" so it must've been my fault. Due to the lack is responsibility and customer service we do not recommend this shop. read more

This shop opened recently close to my house. Like close enough to drop off the car and walk home. So far both my wife and I have had our vehicles serviced here and were very happy with the service We needed new tires and had a little oil leak on our Subaru. I noticed the oil leak shortly after a SpeeDee Lube oil service. Sure enough SpeeDee forgot a washer. The Jeep went in for the 75,000 service. They communicated very well on options for what we needed. All is well with the vehicles. Too bad they don't do motorcycles. The have good hours even open on Sundays. Prices are comparable to other similar shops. If there is a rebate they print and fill out the forms all you have to do is sign and mail. They called to follow up after both services, which I think is a nice touch. The location is very clean and has a nice waiting lounge with coffee and water. I'm glad they are here and will continue to use them. read more

Brought our van yday because of a flat and it has the spare tire on. Obviously the low tire air pressure was also on. They changed the tire, oil change and tire rotation. Called us "hours ago" to say the car is ready but we never got a message- they have called the wrong number.Went home with low tire pressure on and was told to drive 20 miles and it shld turn off. Today, light remains on after driving more than 20 miles. I decide to check air pressure and 3 tires were between 27&29 psi ( recommended is 35). I put air in and still light won't turn off. Checked the stowed spare tire and it wasn't stowed properly - i fixed that too. Tried to reset the light, nothing.Drove back to good year-- technician was angry, not saying much, when he moves, he throws stuff- chain, etc. he checked the tire and said they were all good - i told him because i just put in air? Asked him why it wasn't checked yday. When i told him spare tire wasn't stowed properly-- he said "that's weird coz I did myself". The tire was basically hanging free from underneath the car- i fixed that too (YouTube is awesome). I might as well have done their job). He told me to reset it- i said I've been doing that yday and not working either. Angrily, he grabbed the chain at the car bay, throws it and grabbed a gadget to check the tire sensor.Finally he checks the tire sensors and said one of the batteries are dead and he wants me to go to the front desk and ask how much they r to be replaced. Am i crazy? There is no way I'm coming back for the lousy service and to pay extra. They shld have found that out yday when they were doing their job properly. The worst service.
