Just had my tires checked at Les Schwab. Josh, the technician who checked my tires for possible nails/damage and the tire pressure, was pleasant and professional. It is a 103 degrees out today so I feel sorry for the techs having to work in this heat and still be pleasant. I only had to wait less than 30 minutes. Turns out the tire pressure light just needed to be reset. I asked how much I owed and was told "nothing." WOW! Not sure how you guys stay in business, but thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys have fixed a tire for me previously free of charge. I will definitely keep coming back and buy my next set of tires there for the quality of your service alone. We were brought to Schwab's in a AAA tow truck with our car on the truck bed at around 3:30 in the afternoon. I hit a pipe on the road way out in the country towards Lincoln. Both tires on the passenger side were destroyed and being from Sacramento I wondered whether we would get home at night. We were greeted by a technician named Angelina, who walked us through what the process would be, and she assured us the job would be done today. I miss the old days when service at Les Schwab ment something. Back when Les was alive and at the helm. Back when the employees were compensated fairly and in turn went the extra mile for their customers!They have always charged a little more but the service used to make it worthwhile. Unfortunately not anymore. They are quick to sell but put you on the back burner when you come in to rotate your tires. Brought in 2 - 10 month old batteries from my daughter's truck. Les Schwab had them for 6 hours and never called with status update. . I went there and they said neither charged. They stated one was at 0% and the other said to charge again and test. They would not honor warranty since the battery was purchased by previous owner even though we had the paperwork showing 14 months left on full warranty. The offered to sell me 2 new batteries for $499 plus tax. I went to Harbor Freight and bought a charger. They both charged to 100% within 3 hours each. Glad I said no to their $500 replacement!!! This was my go to place for tire service. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with their non competitive pricing. I was charged $50 per rim/tire to remove a tires from an old rim to a new rim. I was in a hurry and had to get it done so I went forward with the service. This seemed expensive so I called other shops and they were all in the $20-35 range. I will say customer service is excellent at Les Schwab but competitive pricing is not when it comes to this specific type of service. read more

After talking with 4 other shops about getting new tires, I stopped by Les Schwab on recommendation of my father. I just happen to see this location off the freeway with its garage doors still open. As I pulled in, it was a half an hour before closing. I was greeted at the door by Frankie, who was wearing a mask. He asked what kind of help I needed today and after I told him I needed new tires. We walked over to my vehicle and he assessed my tires. My tires were worse off than the other 4 tire shops told me. He then asked me if I had time to get tires on now, so if course, with his reaction to my tires and because I was ready for new tires. Inside the shop, they keep it nice and cool on a hot day. It was spotless, with the satisfying smell of tires, lol. Frankie asked about how much I roughly drive and we decided on a great set of tires that came with a 65,000 mile warranty, free tire inspections, and free tire rotations. I left feeling so good about my purchase. Feeling so much safer when I drive. I highly recommend this Les Schwab. I was comfortable and taken care of. They were kind enough to put my spare tire on so I could drive, then come back in a few hours when the tire arrived. Price seems a little high, but maybe because my tire is expensive?! This business just blows me away. My first experience with this location was when I brought my wife's care in for a tire rotation. If you buy your tires here rotation is free. I had bought my vehicles tires from Les Schwab, but my wife's car had the manufacturers tires so I expected there to be a fee. However, they got the car in and the tires rotated within 20 minutes and charged me nothing! This experience was repeated a year later with another vehicle! A friend of mine saw a car broke down at a locale AM/PM that had a flat tire. A family of four (with two young children) were sitting in the car in cold weather. The car was filled with clothing and such so it appeared they were homeless and living out of their car. My friend approached them and found out that was the case and they didn't have a spare tire or money to buy one. Being the good person he is he offered to get them a tire. I recommended the same Les Schwab location as it was nearby. He took the father there and asked to purchase a used tire in good condition. The Manager of the location found a tire in great condition and mounted it for him then gave it to him FREE! Other than making a painless purchase (and exchange of a battery) my last experience was after putting air in my wife's car's tires which were registering as low. After filling all the tires they still showed as low. I decided to drive by Les Schwab and have them check the pressure. I waited no more than 5 minutes, the tires were checked (no fee again), all were good and then I was informed I had to reset the car computer (which the tech walked me through). Yeah, I felt stupid, but loved this place even more. Les Schwab is somewhat more expensive than other tire stores, but they have great tires and amazing service. Any vehicle work I need done that they do I will use them all all future tires will be purchased here. I cannot praise them enought! read more

I'm very impressed with the service I've received at this store! In March I felt some steering issue and took it to the dealer in Auburn. They recommended replacing lots of items totaling $3,800, including replacing the rear struts because they were leaking. ! I took the car to this Les Schwab shop for a second opinion. They put my car up on the rack and showed me the struts were not leaking, and ended up replacing just the lower control arm, saving me over $3,000. Problem solved. Yesterday I took my car to Midas for an oil change. They told me the outer tie rods were leaking and should be replaced. Went to Schwab in Rocklin for a second opinion, and was told they felt solid, leaked a little as even new ones might after a couple of weeks, and they didn't need replacing. Although the invoice showed a possible $15 charge for "suspension check", it was waived and I paid nothing. Schwab has won a loyal customer! read more

If you want to have your upper control on the fall off then i say go for it but my honest opinion is the kids that work there are rushing the job and dont torque to specs after the do anything suspension wise i had a upper control arm rip out because they didnt torque my a arm i lost the rear control arm bolt and a ball joint and a tow and 8 hours at a shop to fix so my advice is to take it to another place they did me wrong there the only person to give me a alignment poor quality workman ship 100% read more

They found a screw in my tire, repaired it and would not charge me. All in less than 30 minutes, without an appointment. Andrea and I were driving back from North Star Skii Resort 2 days ago with her 4WD SUV and to our surprise got a flat tire during our gas stop at Chevron Station in Rocklin, CA. With 2 more hours to drive back to San Jose, CA with this flat right rear tire Andrea decided to drop by Les Schwab Tire Center across the free way to get the flat tire inspected and fixed! Eric took the SUV and worked on it right away with 30 minutes left before their business close for the day. Come to find out that the tire got a very big hole in it from the metal debris from chains on the road that Eric had to put a patch on it, polish it and got done in 15 minutes!! And Guess what, not only that it got done very quickly Eric didn't charge Andrea anything for the work well done. Andrea and I looked at each other and our mouths both dropped! Wow!!! Thank you again Eric and Haley from the bottom of our hearts! We were able to drive back home safely to San Jose that night!
