I came in for a tire patch repair. Earlier this year, I had a nail puncture, and filled it in myself with a DIY flat tire kit. It seemed to work for a while, but then recently starting slowly losing pressure again. I took my car to Goodyear for a fix, and I was surprised that it only costed $30!! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the mechanic that was patching up my tire allowed me to watch the process and explained it to me as it was happening. I have been going to Goodyear on Harding for the last 5 years. They have taken care of everything from oil changes, new tires, brake replacements, small repairs, they even let me bring in a new/used car I was contemplating purchasing and did an inspection for me to make sure it was a good used car. Annie at the front desk has always been incredibly kind and communicative about whatever my car needs. She is very patient with me when I try to explain anything car related. Michael, one of the mechanics/ techs, has an extensive knowledge on all things cars, he is very honest on what work/ repairs my car needs and what it doesn't need, I know I can trust his expertise. Most recently Josh helped set me up with a brake light replacement, he's very nice and helped me plan a future repair. And the tech Ricky replaced my brake pads and rotors and gave me an oil change. He was awesome! Again super friendly and explained when I will need new tires. As I drove away I could tell my car was driving and braking better. Overall the prices of their service are affordable and fair. Everyone at the shop truly cares about their work and they have been so friendly every time I've come in. Sign says that they're under new management. I've been here in the past, but don't remember how the service was. Their oil change is only $16.99. When doing an oil change, they spotted some issues on my truck, the tranny needed to be flushed and the differential was leaking, they fixed the differential leak for free and only charge me for the oil in the diff since I paid for an oil change and a tranny flush. Employees were nice and friendly and they didn't push me to get the extra repairs, I opted for them on my own. I'll be back here for sure. read more

Needed my oil changed so I went to the SpeeDee oil change down the street and they said they didn't do Porsches and recommended I call the dealership. The dealership wouldn't be able to get me in for almost three weeks. On a whim I pulled in and checked if this Goodyear location could change my oil and sure enough they did and it was all done the same day and it was half the price of the dealership. I was next door getting snowboard rentals when I realize it was going to take a while. Decided to get my tires rotated while nearby. They were able to squeeze me in and said he should get it done in 40 minutes or so, I got my board/boots and returned and had to wait beyond that time. Wasn't a huge inconvenience as I was on the phone-- nonetheless, the guy said it was on the house as it went over the promised time. They even inflated the tires. I know, cause I was eyeing the low pressure on my tires and when I checked it was all calibrated to the equal psi. Was just here for the holidays- but always love honest people, and knowing your car is actually getting the work done. I brought my 2008 Mazda 3 to this Goodyear location with a low-tire pressure warning light. I knew from another tire shop that the low-tire pressure sensor in the wheel was faulty. I checked the tire pressure before I visited this Goodyear store. When I checked in my vehicle, the desk person told me I should have all four low-tire pressure sensors replaced as they commonly all go bad once one goes bad. The total cost would have been approximately $400! I didn't have all four replaced and, low and behold, two years later, the other three still work! Be careful of this place recommending unnecessary services costing you potentially hundreds of dollars. My other complaint about this Goodyear location is that the employee who was performing the work on my car was vaping, including entering the inside of my car to remove it from the service bay. I used to like the shop. I don't trust them now. read more

I had visited Carmichael Honda yesterday for an oil change and general check-up. After completing their work, they told me that my right front tire was separating and recommended that I get a new tire from Goodyear saying that the tire layers appeared to be separating. I went to Goodyear Tire Center Roseville this morning. They were very helpful and quick to replace my tire (which was actually not a defective tire but actually was wearing unevenly because the care needed an alignment. They helped me pick a good tire with a lesser price and also did the work with an additional discount. While I was waiting, they offered me fresh coffee and some cupcakes. The manager (Fred) was very nice and because of this Corona Virus situation had time to spend chatting with me. Bottom Line = I found the place very helpful with reasonable pricing and quick service read more

Wish I could give zero stars. I have taken my cars here for years but no longer. 5 months ago I was told that the tires looked good and didn't need to be replaced. Now suddenly they have less than 1mm of tread and are dangerous to drive after being driven an additional 2,000 miles ??? Obviously they don't do a proper job when inspecting vehicles. They will also leave the car a mess with grease marks, since technicians can't be bothered to clean their hands before moving your vehicle. This was something I overlooked in the past when I thought they were actually doing their jobs. If you're looking for a professional place that will do a proper job, I highly recommend finding a different place to work on your car. read more

I have been a loyal customer for about 2 or 3 years. Fred is a friendly guy and has a way of getting people to relax. They have coffee and a waiting room while your car gets new shoes. I've also called them with questions several times and they're always willing to talk. I think this is as good a tire shop as any. Remember if you don't ask for any discounts or deals they won't give you any. It doesn't hurt to ask. So ask. Next door to the MacDonald's is a Fish and Chips place which is also a reason why I like this spot. read more

Yikes! I've experienced five-star service in the past, so it pains me speak badly of this place. Like other Yelpers, I have always gotten a synthetic blend in my previous oil changes here but during my visit, they pushed the full synthetic oil on me. I said I didn't need it, and they started to work on my car. During the service, they asked me to sign a new estimate stating that Goodyear is not responsible for any damages incurred by a customer requesting a synthetic blend where a full synthetic is recommended. I thought this was fair...had I not already signed an estimate. I hesitated in signing a provision that was not explained to me before the work started. That's when the guy, Aaron, who had been helping me went BESERK. He raised his voice and said he was already giving me a discount on the oil change (I brought in a $5 coupon), that I was coming in really close to closing time, and that he didn't need to take me in. At that point, he was so upset, I was actually worried he was going to do something to my car. He told me to sign, repeatedly, and said he would stop the oil change if I didn't. He then threatened me by stating I would have to pay for labor if I did not go through with the service. In the end, I let them finish and signed the final bill because I did not want to fight. On top of this, the tech working on my car asked if I wanted my battery changed because it was dead when he had tried to start it, I declined and drove home with absolutely no battery problems. Called the manager the next day and while very nice, he very casually put aside Aaron's behavior and tried to explain to me again why a full synthetic was necessary. He missed the point that my concern was the unprofessionalism of his staff, not the oil type. So, while my service could have been good if I got another staff member, it was clear the manager was not interested in addressing Aaron's behavior of being patronizing and pushing over customers. Talk about a flashback. This place reminds of the shop I used to work at. And Fred. I assume the owner/Manager is fantastic. He really wants the best for you. His character and demeanor just exude friendliness. I used to work at a Chevron gas station that was Full-Service. Check the tires, oil, trans, power steering fluids. And while I was there I was trained to get people buy things they did not need. New tires, oil changes, tune-ups, etc. So I know it when I see it. That said, it does not exist here. Fred is so open about what he is doing. And listens to what you have to say. And I saw an example of that. An older woman expressed she was traveling a long distance for Thanksgiving. She was already getting an oil change/wipers/brake and tire check. Well, come to find out she needed tires. I saw they were nearly bald. For summer time you could get away with it but with rain and slickness of the road, it is no bueno. Fred had to tell her the bad news. And he was so apologetic. He recognized being near the silly season, Christmas, money is tight. And he went out of his way to try to find more affordable tires. But she was a grandma and she has her granddaughter with her. She recognized she wants to be safe. So they talk it over and she decides she wants better tires and Fred really worked with her. I hope her brakes are good. I had already left but if she was my grandmother she is in good hands. read more
