Called Friday at 415pm. Asked what the odds were the could do the brakes that day. They said as long as I got there by 5, they would be able to change the brakes. Got there by 5, they evaluated the brakes and recommended that they not be changed. Said they still had life in them. I rarely see this type of customer service and honesty. The manager Sima is the greatest. He worked patiently to get the brake system on my 1981 CJ7 working the way it should. The system was not original and had been customized with different parts over the years so it was tricky, but the guys went above and beyond. I went to brake Masters for an alignment on Saturday the 12th. I had Sergio the technician come out and tell me he couldn't do the alignment because my bushings on my lower control arms were bad which struck me as odd seeing I just had them replaced last September that would've cost me over $1300 but I didn't believe him because like I said I had them replaced less than a year ago so I took truck to another shop who said my thrust alignment was off. They had to do a little bit of adjusting and that was it. It seems like this brake masters was trying to cheat me out of $1300. It's a shame because I used to trust this place for years. I haven't been back there since the prices started to go up and now they're trying to cheat people I won't be back. Read the idiotic response I got from the business. They talk about customer service while attempting to steal $1300. There's customer service for you.!! I think these people have become very dishonest over the years. They're a disgrace. read more

I needed a wheel alignment and Discount Tires recommended this place. So, off to google to make an online appointment which wasn't needed. Their website clearly states they accept walk-ins but I made an appointment anyway. I arrived a bit early for my 8:30 appointment. The location isn't hard to find- big signs, corner shop. I was greeted, quoted a price, and my minivan was in the bay at 8:30. They quoted me about an hour...which I expected, so I just waited. 30 minutes later, they were done. Wheel alignment paperwork in hand. Friendly employees and I never felt spoken down to as a woman...which happens WAY TOO OFTEN in auto shops. I'll be back! read more

The problem with Abraham is that is replies to Yelp reviews calling people liars, saying he doesn't see them or their car in his system. Well duh. The names people use on Yelp might not be their full or actual names. He's just making excuses. Always says he tried calling people to fix the issue then blames them for "not answering". He gaslights a lot. Anyway, aside from Abraham's shadiness, they just aren't the most solid mechanics. I had to bring my car back in after they worked on it and the mechanic was pointing out issues that the last place I took it to did some things wrong. I told him he misunderstood. The last place that worked on it was you guys and I'm having to bring it back a week later! The guy thought I had it worked on elsewhere and he noticed mistakes. He accidentally told on his own shop. Either way, they do not have much experience with American muscle and foreign cars. Awesome experience there today! Took it in for my brake lights on and they had my husband go into the lift area to look at the brakes and explained everything going on! He didn't try to con my husband into new brakes, he explained it was a sensor issue and also noticed some other things. An alignment takes 1 hour, I even gave a 30 minute grace period by returning at 5.....I even showed up to my appointment 10 minutes early..... I find it completely unprofessional to take on new jobs and cars when you're already booked for the night. Why wasn't I informed my alignment was being pushed? These guys are awesome! I really can't thank them enough! My daughter and a friend took a trip out to beach (from Vegas). Just as they started the drive back home, the car crapped out on them in San Marcos. Late Saturday afternoon. Almost every shop closed. I called around, most shops wouldn't take it on. Others were basically criminally expensive (and rude) Then we got lucky. We found Sima! He was kind enough to lend a hand in our time of need. I initially had an appointment scheduled at an alternate repair shop, but they had full bays and 20 cars waiting in the lot. The gentleman at Brakes Masters were able to immediately get me in the bay, get me up on the blocks, and get me a brake inspection. 20 minutes later, they had and estimate put together and parts ready to order! We took our car and RV in for Brake repairs. The mechanics saw that there was a leak at the axle on the Car. They tried to fix it and were unable to. Here's the good news: they were Great to work with about it. They tried several times and finally offered to refund my money and let me take it to Ford for the repair. They installed new brakes on the RV, and adjusted and flushed the brakes on the Car. I am happy with the fact that it was not a fight and I am sure they did a good job on the other work and will return to them for future brake work. read more

I really ran my brakes down and they took care of my car and explained everything without making me feel dumb. They took great care of my car and I really appreciate that. One bummer was it taking longer than I thought and having to spend a lot of the day either at the location or walking around the nearest center.
