They had great customer service and got my car out quickly... however, a month after my oil change, half of the splash shield was hanging while the other half is still attached. I didn't notice it too much until it keep dropping lower and lower to the point it was no scraping the ground. This is a Honda Fit and I don't drive it recklessly so my only thought is someone probably didn't put the shield back together properly? I don't know how else it would have happened as they were the only ones that worked on my car for the last year. ***** update. I bought the "upgraded" brake shoes, and they lasted a year. In that year, the brake dust was uncontrollable, and pretty much ruined my chrome rims. I do about 30K miles a year. I had my wife go in to replace a strut, and it made noise after(like something was lose). I took it back in, and they "fixed" it, and then the other side to start making the same "lose" sound 4 months later. I cant give it a one star after all of this, because I didn't take it back again after them "fixing" it the first time. What's the point? If they were good at what they do, I wouldn't have had to take it back the first time, let alone a second time. read more

I give two stars instead of one only because my minvan was OK the second time they resurfaced my rotors, and performed by the head guy instead of some other technician. My minivan had 45k miles on it, and I brought it in for brake work primarily because there was some vibration while braking at speed and very heavily loaded, but fine under normal conditions. I measured the front rotors myself; runout and thickness variation were just under the manufacturer's service limit for the vehicle. Rotor thickness was near-new. The first thing I got was a sales pitch to buy new rotors, which I knew I didn't need. Points off for that. After the work was done (new pads all around, in addition to resurfacing the fron rotors), vibrations was the worst I have ever experienced in any vehicle, even at fairly low speeds. Again I measured the rotors... one was 50% over the runout tolerance, and the other was over 3X the tolerance for thickness variation. I brought it back the next day, and after a couple of hours of waiting, the rotors were re-cut to a functional state. I got the strong impression that nobody there knows what "runout" and "thickness variation" is, but at best trained to use wrenches and hammers, turn knobs, and sell stuff. I know that my aerospace background makes me far pickier than most, but I don't think anyone would be terribly happy with this experience. read more

I took my son's car here for new brakes and worked with Sima. The brakes were inspected while I waited (about :30 mins) and we found that my son had a bad front axle and a bad caliper in the passenger-side. Sima took me to the car while it was lifted and showed me exactly what was going on. The work on the car took around 4-hours and when I came back to pick up the car, Sima took the time to show me all of the old parts that they had removed from the car. Upon reading some reviews I decided this was the place I would get my brakes fixed after they had started to become an obvious problem in need of repair, making a loud noise whenever I would stop. When I called this place they were nice and professional sounding and suggested they could get the service done quickly. I was sold. So I took my car here and the first thing I noticed was no one working here was wearing a mask which is a bit odd to me if you're a public business. So I drop the car off around 3:30 PM on a Friday and then get a quote around 4 pm, basically its going to be $400+ to fix mostly the front breaks and do some minor rear break repair. When I get there to pick it up around 5:10 PM they inform me they have spilled some kind of liquid on the passenger seat and treated it like a "shit happens" kind or situation and then attempt to half ass clean it up with some paper towels (see picture). I have to say I'm very unimpressed and I'm now certain I could have had this repair done somewhere else for much cheaper as others have pointed out. I won't be returning here. read more

I took my spare car into its respective dealership today to take care of a recall issue. As dealerships do, they conducted their inspection and found thousands of dollars worth of repairs, things to replace, and services to complete. One of which I was aware of: my brake pads and rotors needed replacing. Besides the outrageous quoted price, the dealership said they didn't even keep rotors in stock, and would need a day to get them. There was no way I was going to fall for dealership antics, but it was still amusing to see how much they tried to rip me off, not knowing I'm something of a "car guy" myself. Having replaced many a brake pad and rotor in my garage as a teen, I walked away chuckling, planning out when and how I was going to do the work at home. I drove past Brake Masters on the way home, and figured, "What the heck, I'll see what they're charging." Needless to say, I was at their shop five minutes later, and out the door with new rotors in about an hour. Chatting with Abraham, the owner, it was easy to see this business is modeled around personalized service. Not only did I pay 1/3 as much as the dealership tried to charge for brakes, but the techs gave honest professional opinions about other items the dealership tried to convince me needed to be replaced immediately. Rather than "upselling" me on services now, Abraham went so far as letting me know I had months before I would need to take care of a few issues. That's a classy move by a small business owner, to turn down business for the sake of the customer's wallet. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a call before you let a dealership gouge you for money. Came in for a brake change for my 07 versa and the guy said I needed all 4 brakes done. He quoted me for 790$ and when I told him I cant afford that much he said something along the lines of my "front need changing and the back I can do next year." So I paid for the front knowing I needed them done, and have a second opinion done later. Well I did my second opinion yesterday. Turns out both brakes were good so he just cleaned it and charged me for labor. So now I have to return the brake pads and shoe for the car and wasted all this time and energy for nothing. These guys will try to take as much money from you as possible. These guys are your typical shop that will try to make you get work that you don't need. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

Brought my 2016 in for a simple brake job, new pads all around. They said I needed to resurface the rotors , no problem, that's normal. They finished the job quickly, +|- 2.5hrs, great. Then the fun began. The mechanic test drove my car after the brake job and it was making a terrible squealing noise from the tires immediately after service. Mechanic noticed a spring/wire sticking out of the calipers. They fixed it, laughed a little and I went on my way. 2 days later the squealing happened again. Took me time to come back in and I unfortunately had to take off work to have them look at it. They proceeded to resurface my rotors again. Mechanic says they can't resurface after this second time because they are getting too thin. Got it. Now when I drive the wheel shakes while braking. Took it back again, service rep said they will need to test drive it. After 1 hour, they did, came back and said it's just fine. I drive it everyday, It is not fine, and Ive spent to much wasted time coming back to fix. I'm currently having the work done correctly at the dealer and most likely taking them to small claims for rotors. They were nice guys, but I feel you created more damage to my car then before and I'm not paying for your mistakes. My bad trying to save money going to brake masters. I grew up in a shop my parents owned for 20+ years, I have a soft spot for smaller shops, but this level of incompetence is NOT acceptable in my book. read more
