I love brake masters until today. I have been having a tough time in my personal life. You never know what people go through right? No way a stranger would know that. But this man was rude to me, just because I have a breathalyzer. I wanted to get an oil change done but as soon as I mentioned I had an interlock device, he got standoffish, and started to say he refuses my service due to it being "unsanitary".... Wow. Any other business of brake masters I have visited, the are perfectly fine with it, welcome me, and just allow me to blow into the device for them, and then they do what they need to do. I don't understand this treatment. He then stated, I don't want you to get upset because you have to wait a long time, but he already said it to start and I said I was okay with it , I'm not in a hurry. Then after I explained how other brake masters locations just let me blow into the device for them, he started to say it won't be fair if I wait so long as if he's trying to find a reason for me to leave. This is very upsetting. I just moved out here and I don't appreciate that treatment.. after he said he doesn't want me getting upset for waiting a long time, I told him I am fine with waiting a long time, but I'm upset that you are trying to refuse me because I have a breathalyzer Then he finally agreed to take me, but he already previously agreed when I called and asked if they had time, and when I came into the store and it wasn't until after I told him about the interlock he started treating me differently. This is horrible. Dishonest. Because I didn't change my brakes, after agreeing $35 for oil change labor, they didn't change my oil. They just added in oil and took my 5 quart mobil 1. I'm back! Yes, it took 5-1/2 years but I'm back for that satisfying service. I met my manager friend (Eddie) again after all these years. I explained I needed to have my brakes done as I heard a squeak. He had his technician check it out and it appears I waited too long. (Don't want until your brakes squeal because then it is too late for routine service.) It turns out I had to have replacement parts and not simply turning drums, new pads, etc. It took a while waiting for parts to arrive. Meanwhile I was comfortable in the waiting room reading my book and/or watching the TV. The technician test drove my truck and it was complete. My truck drove great on the way home feeling the new brakes at each intersection red light. Once again, I am pleased and thank Eddie and his staff for a job well done. read more

I took my truck to this place because front rotors were squealing, i paid almost $400 to get them resurface and replace brake pads. After only one month the truck started squealing again A MONTH unfckingbelievable. Im never taking any of my cars to this place EVER! I took them to other place amd they told recommended me to replace the rotos, that they could resurfaced them again but it was cheaper and more secure to replace them with new rotors. That's honesty. I couldn't afford that so I went elsewhere and had my alignment and front end fixed for 513. I didn't need everything replaced now to be safe. DO NOT GET SERVICES HERE! Please!! Got tire and brake services here and my whole wheel fell off while driving. Not an over exaggeration. My whole family was in my car! I lost control of the car and ran off the highway. Instead of the of the manager of this business owning up to a mistake being made and offering to fix it, he insisted I pay to get the car towed up there (2hrs away) so that he can "inspect" the car. And if HE decided that they in fact made the mistake he would fix it. No reassurance, nothing in writing just take his word that he will do what's right. How does that sound? No empathic response that HIS company's mistake put my whole family in danger? He wants me to take his word that he is honest when he already proved that he is not. He also insulted my intelligence several times while speaking to me, raised his voice, was argumentive, and disrespectful. but he expects me to trust him and his word? Who is the customer and who is the business here? Where's the business ethic and edicate? Where's the customer service? He wants me to bring my car up there so that he can get to the "inspection" whenever he wants then use his own discretion of his own error? He also told me I'm not a mechanic and not a professional So I don't know what I'm talking about only he does. I don't need a mechanic license to have common sense. He recorded our whole conversation so if you don't believe me just ask to hear the recording. Or you can hear mines. My husband took his 2002 Nissan here to get his ac fixed and the only thing needed was freon they charged him 379$ this is ludicrous! I'm so irritated with companies taking advantage of their customers, now they lost a customer! That's like paying 400$ for an oil change! This company worked on my corvette and i told them to be careful because my car is very low to the ground and it can't be put on a normal lift and what does this guy do?? Trys to get it to go on a lift that is way too high and damaged my car doing about $ 3000 dollars damage to my corvette so the guy tells me my brake job is on the house because he does not want a claim on his insurance! So i agree because the damage is on the undercarriage of the car and it is not visible unless you get down and look up! So i thought that was the end of it! Do not do business at this place! After America's tires broke my tire studs they recommended this place to get the repairs done. Rogelio gave my husband 2 different quotes one being in the 100's and another one in the 200's depending on whether he had to remove a piece or not. He then called back and said my car needed another job, which we declined and said that was okay and the price was gonna be 400's for the job he was getting done. After my husband argued about the price, since Rogelio had doubled it, he brought it down to 300. We went there to pick up the car and as soon as I drove it I heard a cracking sound coming from the driver's front tire. We took our car in for a simple fix, a stud was messed up and need to be replaced, in the process they ended up messing up 2 more studs. I am a returning customer and with every visit I am greeted with pleasant customer service and thorough service without a long wait. I recently visited for an oil change and for new filters which the dealership did not notify me I needed changing until my car had been serviced. They informed me of my brake wear and that they noticed a sound coming from my car. I fixed the brakes and they realized the noise was from LED headlights that were installed on my vehicle however the fan was faulty on the light. They took the time to explain the lights to me as well as look them up online and even offered to install them if I brought my vehicle back which they did at no charge just as promised. read more

On 2/16 we sent our 17 year old to Brake Masters to get his car aligned after we put on new tires. Whoever it was that was helping him (my child didn't get a name) told him they were unable to do the alignment unless he gets his lower control arm replaced because it is "about to go out" which will cost $1300. However, my husband who has been a mechanic for many years and does all our vehicle repairs but doesn't have alignment equipment just replaced both control arms less than a year ago. My child brought the vehicle home without repairs even though the person at Brake Masters was being extremely pushy for him to get the work done, because my husband wanted to inspect it for himself. He saw that the control arms were in perfect condition, so we took it to a different shop to get alignment. At this shop, not only were they able to do the alignment, they also confirmed that the lower control arms were not needing to be replaced, and couldn't understand why they would tell my 17 year old they needed to be done before the vehicle could be aligned. Unfortunately, we were trying to support a small business, but they tried to take advantage of a teenager trying to maintain his vehicle. If I could give this company 0 stars I would, and want to warn other people, especially those not knowledgeable about vehicles that they may want to get a second opinion before using this business. read more

My brakes were squeaky so I decided to go in. EDDIE who is the most forgetful and inept person said it would be 45 min to an hour. I checked in and he asked my babe and what car I had HELLLLLLO! You just spoke to me My car was the only car in the parking lot. One car went before me and them a second car. I asked Eddie and these people had appointments. I asked the 2 gentlemen in the waiting area if they had appointments and THEY SAID NO!!!!!! I go up 2 hours later and Eddie tells me they were short staffed. THAT IS NOT NY PROBLEM! So, 2 hrs 35 minutes later, they come to tell me my total would be $370 or soo. He showed me some worn brake pads (I CALL BULL SHIT). Those were not my brake pads! I feel this shop is dishonest-I have a lifetime warranty on my front brakes. Of course, they were my back brakes needing to be replaced. I won't ever go here again. Eddie. You need to retire. Or be trained on estimating the flow of your small shop. I immediately told them I didn't want them to do the repairs -asked them to get my car ready. 20 minutes later, my car hadn't been touched. I'm sorry. I had a fit and I stood by the door. Another employee told me he'd take care of it himself. YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT EARLIER!!!! Total time for NOTHING 2 HOURS AND 55 minutes for NOTHING!!! I will never go back to this place. Please consider my review before you go there.
