I took my 2006 Toyota Tundra to The Car Doctor for a diagnostic and maintenance inspection, and I…read morewas extremely impressed with the level of service. They provided a detailed, easy-to-understand report showing what needed immediate attention and what items may need to be addressed down the road. What really stood out was their honesty. They never tried to upsell me or pressure me into repairs that weren't necessary. Instead, they took the time to explain everything, prioritize the repairs, and let me make an informed decision. It's refreshing to find a shop that's focused on helping customers rather than selling unnecessary work. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and professional mechanic, I highly recommend The Car Doctor for all your vehicle needs. I'll definitely be bringing my other vehicles here for future maintenance and repairs!

The pricing is worth the level of assurance I received, especially with the warranty and follow-up. I needed my vehicle turned around quickly, and they accommodated my timeline without cutting corners. What stood out most was that I never felt pressured at any point. Instead, they went out of their way in a respectful and professional manner to earn my business. As someone who usually wants a second opinion, I appreciated how they clearly explained what needed to be done, why, and showed proof of the work. They delivered exactly what I needed and got my vehicle back to me on time. I'll gladly continue to bring my business here moving forward.

Per the advice of my mother, who was a previous customer, I stopped in for a pre-trip inspection…read morebefore a very lengthy road trip. I was the first to arrive (before the shop opened), as I wanted to be in and out as quickly as possible. The young lady at the front desk assisted me and informed me that the service required full payment upfront. Now, for many businesses, this would be a red flag. But given the nature of this particular establishment, along with its solid reputation, I was completely OK with this. You've heard of "dine and dash," involving people who eat and skip out on their bill, so I'm sure that this business didn't want to deal with people who "drive and dash." Anyway.... The mechanic started working on my vehicle immediately and was extremely thorough. Shortly thereafter, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr. John, when he entered the sitting area/lobby. I asked if he was the owner because he just had that commanding presence that most owners possess & I wanted to speak with him directly. I informed Mr. John about why I came to his shop and truly appreciated the time and care he put into servicing my vehicle to ensure that it was safe. He told me that he could tell I took care of it, and that for its age, it was in great shape. Mr. John even went the extra mile (see what I did there, haha) and showed me some things that were worn and would eventually need repair. This was great info, not only so I know what to expect for a future visit to my local auto repair shop but also because I decided to have some of the work performed that same day. I felt it was wise to get it out of the way and not have to worry about anything breaking while on the road. Mr. John even told me to call once I arrived at my destination, which further proved that he genuinely cares about his customers and takes great pride in his work. I called the following week and let the young lady at the service desk know that my trip was smooth!

After diagnosing the problem he informed me the cost of repairs would be almost equivalent to an engine replacement. As the issue could be a simple water pump or more complex as a blown head gasket. Needless to say the work was not performed but I appreciated his honesty!

So I went to get an oil change today. Before I dive in I…read morewant to say I already expect to be up charged or offered other services. I pull up I tell the gentleman I just want an oil change. Only an oil change. I leave my vehicle, they call me to go over the invoice. The young lady working shows me my filters and says something about changing them. I say no, I'm fine I just want the oil change. She says are you sure, this is the air you breathe. I say yes I'm sure I can change that myself pretty easy, just the oil. Then she mentions brakes and another worker comes and mentions my windshield wiper, which has been working fine just used them the other day but to all of this I say no thank you, just the oil. She then asked about the filters again, to which I gave the same response. She says ok, this is the air you're going to have to breathe makes a face and starts laughing as she takes them back to my vehicle. Which I personally think is a little unprofessional. My car gets finished. I go in to pay, I pass her the money she gives me the change I say thank you, she says mmhm. I turn around she says "do you want your keys" I say something like oh they aren't in the car? When I get into my vehicle I pull off when I look to my passenger side all of the papers that were in my glove compartment are on the seat and floor so I turn around to go back. I spoke with a different person and just asked why they'd be out of the glove compartment, I should have got his name because he was professional, he says oh they went into the glove box to get the cabin filter but the items should have been put back to where they came from and I informed him of the interaction. This review is a combination from all of the slightly off-putting things that happened after declining extra services that seemed like micro-aggressions stacked on top of each other. What I think should have been a pretty basic and normal thing suddenly felt petty. I usually don't go to this location and probably won't again, no hard feelings to the staff that was uninvolved more so writing this review to educate how one tiny little micro-aggression or gesture can make or break the level of service and make even small mistakes seem intentional.

Problem number 1: the "complimentary inspection" was free, however them actually diagnosing the problem was a whopping $219.46. So, then the inspection was not free at all. Problem number 2: the quoted me at $2900 dollars to do the bear MINIMUM of repairs (air/fuel induction service, replacing an 02 sensor, MAF cleaning). Took it to another place, and I only needed to do ONE of those things for $300. Problem number 3: They insisted on me replacing my crankshaft main oil seal which would have cost me another $5000 dollars. Problem number 4: when I said this was way too much money for what I needed as I stated when I walked in that I only needed whatever had to be done to pass inspections and testing for registration and that I would come back to get my car, my Lyft to get there that is supposed to be paid for was not. They did pay for my one home, but not for the one back. Problem number 5: I only asked them to look at 2 specific things, the oil and my O2 issue, however they decided to also try having me pay another $10,000 in preventative maintenance services. problem number 6: They performed a service without asking me when I had clearly told them not to perform any service on my car after they provided the prices to me. However, they still performed the oil change anyway and charged me $119.95 for it. So despite me not wanting ANY service done, I still had to pay $389.53 just to get my car back and take it to another place. I simply cannot recommend this business to anyone when this is the kind of treatment and prices. If I had gone along with their business they were providing, I would've paid for more money in services than I would have just buying the car. I bought this car for $14,000. They were wanting to have me pay over $1500 more than what my car was even worth when I had purchased it. Save yourself the headache and wallet pain and go somewhere else.
