Even though I purchased the wipers from the sundry shop and not through him at Firestone, he volunteered to install them for me and wouldn't even accept a tip. I recently purchased FOUR NEW expensive Firestone tires from them wondering why i'm having issues to discover from a Woman at Costco and then the Dealership that this place put all the wrong size tires on my car. This could've killed us and explains the issues we are having. We already reached out to lawyers because looking at these reviews shows management and the base command do not care whatsoever! WARNING: HIRE THIS DISHONEST AND NEGLIGENT BUSINESS AT YOUR OWN RISK I am reaching out because I need help, I need to contact someone in charge about customer interaction and damaged property from Firestone on Joint Base Anacostia Bolling. I'd been to this store before and it was convinient, professional, and I'd never encountered a problem before this. This store damaged my car by leaving the window down during a 3 day storm, in the heat then initially did nothing to fix the damages and sent me away. Weeks later management promised to reimburse me to fix the damage. After refusing to open a case and go through the appropriate claims process their solution of a detailing cleaning didn't actually fix the damages. Though they never mentioned in the promises of a reimbersment that I have to sign a release and drop the case. The damage was too sever to be fixed with just a cleaning, so I can't sign a release to accept payment, but now I have personally paid for a repairs that didn't fix damage caused by the store, and the damage still persists. They refuse to reimburse. All this dragged out since Sep 2023, and ive since then deployed to germany as a service member now with extreme limitations on what I can do to resolve this. read more

I did not have an immediate issue with this store/location. They were able to address my issue promptly and got to work on it right away. When making appointments, I HIGHLY suggest calling them instead of booking via the app. For some reason, they do not confirm appointments from the app (which kind of defeats the purpose). Another issue is that they only had ONE mechanic working the day I brought my vehicle in, so it was about a 2.5ish hour wait from when I dropped off my car to when I got my keys back. They made suggestions for other services they "recommended" but did not pressure me into getting them. One thing I did find odd was that they said my issue was related to the last service I got. Which, ironically, was at another Firestone location. Information which they should have been able to see. If a current issue was related to a problem caused by another location, I should have received some kind of discount or something. Overall, a good shop if you're on/at JBAB and you need work done on your car. Next time I'm going to check out an off-post location to see if the quality is better. read more

I took my vehicle in for a full synthetic oil change. I pick the car up at the end of day and before I could get home my battery indicator dropped to zero and my car turned off. I call the shop and was told to return my car 1st thing in the AM. Well, my car never made it. I ended up being towed to the closest garage only for them to show me the oil that was everywhere. It had gotten down into wires the battery, and the alternator. I brought all of this to the attention of Firestone, including pics and paperwork, and was promised they would fix everything. Avoid this place at all costs! I had a flat tire down the road and thought it would be convenient to get it repaired here. They were completely booked and could not take walk-ins, so I left the car until the next available day. I got an email on the next business day saying the repair was complete, but when I arrived to pick up the car nothing had been done. They told me the rim was cracked and they don't do wheel repairs, only tires. They wasted multiple days of my time only to leave me stuck with a flat tire and offered no communication at all throughout this process. read more

This shop's ineptitude nearly caused a serious accident or injury. 74,126 miles - Four new tires installed 75,988 miles - Lug nuts fall off the tire, and tire nearly detached on the highway Cruising at 70 MPH, the car began shaking violently and a progressively louder noise emitted from the wheel well. Immediately pulling over, an inspection revealed two lug nuts had fallen off completely and three others were within one turn of also coming off. The technician cited on the statement of work is Robert. Do not let Robert touch your car. This oversight is unacceptable, and begs the question of how many other accidents were caused by Robert's inattention to detail. read more

I almost never leave reviews but this was beyond the normal bad customer service. Do not go here. Avoid at all costs. And bc I spent a full week dealing with one flat tire all bc they didn't just fix it on day 1, I'm leaving a review. I came out of work to a flat tire. I took it to this place because it was the closest. The guy in the garage told me he can see if there's a hole in the tire, and to just go in front and do the formality of making an appointment but I can just bring the car back so he can look at it. I go up front and the guy says he can't help me, I need to make an appointment for tomorrow. Like..... to see if there's a nail in a tire I need to come back tomorrow? On a flat tire? At this point I call a mechanic who lives nearby (shout-out to him, he's awesome) to come change my tire to the spare in my trunk because I didn't have a jack. He leaves and I go back in and drop off the damaged tire. They say it's $20, come back tomorrow. Nobody told me they were closed the next day (New Years eve). I just showed up to a closed shop. I finally come back in on THURSDAY when the flat happened Monday. I told the guy behind the counter I was there to pick up my tire and have it put on my car. He spends 10 minutes looking for paperwork he apparently can't find, then goes into the bay for another 5 minutes, comes back and says I need a new tire. Excuse me? Why? He says because there's damage from me driving on a flat tire for an extended period of time. As you know from this story, that is not what happened. At this point I stop him and ask, ok so what caused the flat. He goes, the tire can't be repaired because damage blah blah - ok but WHAT CAUSED THE FLAT TIRE. He's staring at me like I have two heads for asking him questions. Tells me he'll bring out the tire and show me the damage and points to the lines on the side of the tire. Looks normal to me. But what do I know. I said cool I have a warranty, I just bought these brand new 6 months ago. Just give me back my tire. I take it to the place I bought it and GUESS WHAT. There was just a NAIL in the tire. They showed me the problem and fixed it. For free. No more problems. No extensive inner damage from driving on a flat. They price gouge people and tell blatant lies. While I was in this firestone a dude was paying for his repairs and was shocked when he was in the middle of pulling out his card to pay by the price and asked to have it explained to him. That should not be happening, ever. You tell a customer what it costs upfront. No surprises at the register. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

So i made an appointment 2 days ago to put on tires and was quoted 27$ per tire for installation and balance. Come the day I had the appointment, they could not find me in the system. Then they were going to put me in for the same day but they were going to double charge me which would be around 228$ plus tax for tire instillation and balance. The reason for double charge is because I bought outside of who they were contracted with. Nothing against staff. But maybe better communication on policy. But the policy is a scam. read more

I have been in here on 3 occasions and always have had good service. The guy James that did my alignment on my older 5 series BMW really took his time, set the wheel straight and got it all in spec. Car drove straight, and felt great. Nice to have someone take their time and want to get it perfect. He did. One start deducted only because they take forever to pickup once on hold. We took our vehicle in for an oil change and were told they could not perform the oil change because they needed to replace a part to get it done. Went to another location to get a second opinion and they were able to do the oil change just fine. No replacement part needed. Not even mentioned. Granted the company who did the oil change was the dealership for the vehicle so maybe they knew something that Firestone didn't. BUT, this only adds to the many other stories that Firestone is notorious for, charging additional services that are not needed. They are kind and convenient, especially if you live on base. But their integrity is in question and their prices are too high. Would recommend not using IF able to take to another location. Hope this helps. This place is such a scam, took my car in because my rotor had a gouge around it as if something have been caught in the break pad. I leave my car there for them to take a look at it and I get a call saying my rear caliper was locked up and needed to be replaced along with the rotors. The rotors yes but the calipers were fine, they tried to charge 1800 for it all and 1200 for the rotors and break pads alone! Just decided to take the time to do it myself and ended up saving about 800 bucks. Unless you like getting lied to and overpaying for simple services don't go here. read more

After standing at the counter for 15 mins watching the employees chat in the back I walked around the building to the garage to ask when the counter would reopen. I then received an attitude that they were open. I then walked back around the building to be helped, in that time a young woman ended up ahead of me, it was 1:57pm she had a 2pm appointment to which the lady at the counter (that I had to interrupt from her conversation in the garage) notified her they were too busy for her appointment even though it was made 3 days prior. I then got to the counter to buy a battery? I needed it for a project, the store had it what I needed in stock however I was told she would not sell me a battery because I was not putting it I a car. I acknowledged that I understood that I could not return the battery I was comfortable buying the battery knowing it could not be returned. I was told "oh no that's not how this is going to go, if you can't show me the car you can't buy the battery". I was unaware I was talking to the battery police, left went to Walmart, payed less and got what I needed. AVOID AT ALL COST, TERRIBLE SERVICE! read more

Came here to get an alignment and they took the time to correct the issue. They mentioned that certain components of the suspension werr rusted and needed replacement. They did not rush and despite it being 4:00 in the evening they were not dismissive and had no problem taking the times to let me know what parts needed some attention. So disappointed. Called ahead on Tuesday and was told Thursday would be best and to bring my vehicle in at 3:15 . I did so and was told it wouldn't be taken back till 4. Cool, so I go kill some time and return at 4:30. My car hadn't even moved where I parked it. I waited 20 more min and it was finally moved or I would've asked for my keys back. Your $40 oil change is now $250 for work they already did without permission. I bought a battery and they did all they could to get my ride in the garage. Then when I decided to leave they said ok ok. While paying he tried to charge me extra because I was " installing" their product myself and using their garage. Nickel and dime you for all you got. I definitely felt like they were taking advantage of me because I don't know much about cars and found "other issues" with my car. After I got my car it still had the issue that I originally came in for so I had to go in the next day. I left it there at 2:30pm, and when they finally decided to call me 45 minutes after there closing time (mind you I called numerous times trying to call them before they closed the shop), they told me the mechanic was too busy to even get to my car. I made an appointment for 8am and dropped my truck off at 8 am. I told them move the tires from the back to the front and replace the front tires with the ones I picked and put them on the back. At 1100 they called and asked for which tires go where and they said they just started. I called at 2 to see if I had a ride home and they said everything was done but they would call me with an estimate on additional repairs. They called later with the usual $1500 better replace this stuff. I picked it up. I checked the lugs, they were so over torked I could barely get them. A few days later my battery was showing low power. I went to clean the terminals and found they had over torked the terminals bending everything and it came apart. It was a quick and easy replacement but leave my damn battery alone when I get new tires. They did say it was a free check but this was not discussed prior. I would go again for the price and the fact they are close but if I do I will restrict them to only what I asked for. read more

DON'T GO HERE! Dishonest recommendations (I know a decent amount about cars and they lied all over the place) and they take forever. I went in to have my tires replaced. I chose them because I had a tire running super low and they're located close to my home. They recommended $2000 of repairs and maintenance for my newer car that had just been serviced. I had my regular service station recommend I replace my air filter when I got my oil changed last week. They called me and told me to bring my car back in next week because they forgot to put the new air filter in. That means my car didn't have an air filter when the folks at this Firestone recommended I get my air filter replaced because it was "extremely dirty"...but I didn't have an air filter in my car at all. Obviously they hadn't even checked they were just lying. They said my car battery should be replaced, my shocks needed to be replaced, my fuel system needed to be flushed, my coolant needed to be flushed, the list goes on. They are liars and should not be trusted. On top of all that mess it took them almost four hours to replace and align my tires. If you have any other choice avoid this place like the plague of automobile maintenance. read more

I had my reservations about coming to this place, after reading such terrible reviews on Yelp. I came here to get two or all new tires on my car (depending on how bad my tires were) and maybe an oil change. I wasn't sure what all I wanted to get done, as I was on a budget. At first, they quoted me $435 for four tires (half that for two), and $40 or so for an oil change. I told them I wanted to be called before any work was done. An hour and a half in to my three hour wait, I decided to call them in case they forgot. I was told all four tires needed to be replaced because they had dry rot. I said that was okay, but to take the oil change off because it was getting to be too expensive. I got a call about fifteen minutes later saying that I told them I had different tires than what I told them when I made the appointment (which was annoying, as I simply told them the year, make, and model of my car. I didn't know what tires I needed). They said I needed bigger tires, which were going to be another $100+ dollars, but they were able to take $15 off each tire. I appreciated that they were able to work out a discount. I go to pay, where they informed me they had already done the oil change before they called me. Before I was able to get mad, they said that they were not going to charge me for the misunderstanding. In the end, it cost $535 for all new tires and an oil change, and I appreciated that the employees did everything they could to make things right. Overall, I'm very satisfied, and I'd recommend this place to a friend. read more
