I had a checkup appointment on Friday. I was expecting the worst. I hadn't had issues with my brakes but it'd been a few years since I got new. Good news is they were honest to let me know all is good and my brakes don't need extra attention. So I went on and got a synthetic oil change (i didn't know they did that!). They have a special so I got my oil vhange and full checkup for less than $50. HELLO! Win win. read more

This place is awesome! They do way more than brakes! We bring all our vehicles here first to see if they can do it and they always have been able to! Just had my windshield wiper water mechanism replaced and they did it quickly and inexpensively! James and everyone there are so very nice and communicative. I took my Acura RDxin a few weeks ago because the brakes were squeaking really loudly when I back out of my garage. I was concerned because I had gotten my brakes done by the same place less than a year and a half prior. Dropped the car off and after a few hours got a call that my car was ready for pick up. When I got there, the gentleman at the counter indicated there was nothing wrong with my brakes other than probably some early morning moisture causing the squeak. He didn't charge me for the diagnostic, either. Very stand-up guy; really appreciated the honesty. read more

I'm 19 and drive an Audi A4, and I went into Brakes Plus after calling ahead and being quoted $50-$75 to remove a snapped lug bolt. I explained the situation clearly on the phone: the bolt had snapped clean, the head was off, and it was sticking halfway out. They told me it would be simple and quick. Before coming in, I installed four brand new lug bolts on my wheel. I torqued all four to 90 ft-lbs, and the wheel was completely solid. I drove to their shop with ZERO wobble, ZERO vibration, and NO issues at all. Just for context: a few days earlier I accidentally drove four miles on only TWO lug bolts, and even then the wheel didn't start wobbling until mile four. So driving on four brand-new bolts with proper torque should be perfectly stable -- and it was. After arriving, everything suddenly changed. Once they got the car in the back, I was brought a written estimate saying I supposedly needed: * A new wheel hub * Additional parts * $25 in fluids (I had topped off all my fluids the day before) * And over $500 total in parts and labor This was AFTER originally telling me it would be a $50-$75 extraction job. They claimed the threads in my hub were "destroyed" and that the entire hub assembly needed replacement. This didn't make sense at all, considering I had JUST installed two brand-new bolts in the same hub before arriving, and both threaded in perfectly and torqued down exactly as they should. If a hub's threads are truly ruined, new bolts do not thread in smoothly. I declined the repair because the story didn't add up. And the moment I left their shop, something even worse happened: My wheel began wobbling within ONE mile of leaving. That is terrifying, and it NEVER should have happened. Four properly torqued bolts do not just loosen themselves within minutes. When I got home and checked, ALL FOUR bolts were noticeably loose -- turning anywhere from a quarter to a full inch. That means the wheel was NOT secure when they gave the car back to me. Whether that was negligence or intentional, it's completely unacceptable and dangerous. Based on my experience and watching them quote another customer $2,000 for a catalytic converter that typically costs far less, it's clear this shop has developed a serious habit of overcharging, upselling unnecessary repairs, and taking advantage of people, especially younger customers. I will never return here again, and I strongly recommend others stay far away. The management change over the past couple years clearly shows -- just look at the recent reviews. If I hadn't trusted my instincts, I would've been out $500+ for a job that should cost under $100 at any honest mechanic. I'm posting this so the next person -- especially another young driver -- doesn't get pressured into paying for repairs they don't actually need. There are plenty of reputable shops out there. These guys are incredible. I was driving through the area, Florida to Idaho, and noticed a grinding in my break. I thought it may be a rock in it, so I stopped here to get it looked at, and they took it right in immediately. When they came back out, it wasn't good news; the brake pad put on by the previous owner didn't have a squeak pad on it so it never warned me it was low, plus they found a small leak on the back of the transmission which was very hard to pick up on, and turns out it was manifold gasket crack and got oil all over my spark plugs and wore out my starter coils. Without going into technicalities, this mean a lot of work for my car and my pocketbook. They even showed some of it to me on my car on the lift. We decided to go ahead and do most of it, and they said it would be done Monday (this was a Friday). I mentioned that that is unfortunate timing, since I had someone flying in that day to do the rest of the drive, and I had planned to be in OKC that night. They immediately went back to the mechanic area, came back, and said they would have it done as soon as possible and they couldn't guarantee when it would be done, but it was a priority. Throughout the day they updated me, they offered me a free Lyft ride and offered one for the person getting in at the airport too, above and beyond customer service. I wish I had the name of the man helping me, but I know he was younger and had long brown wavy/curly hair. He was incredible and I would do everything to keep him if I were a business. What an incredible employee. 10 minutes before I was supposed to leave to the airport too keep my original schedule, they had the car ready and I was able to pick up and go to OKC like nothing happened. On top of this, they helped apply coupons from the website so that I maximized my savings. This repair would have cost upwards of $3k at shops I went to in the past. Easily. I know cars and have worked on them some and I was bracing for a number that large or larger. Well I walked out paying MUCH less. It was $1,660, with it completed extremely fast, and with the most genuine, kind mechanics I've ever worked with. That last part is hard to find anymore. Don't go this place , my car wasn't need to change the breaks and they tell me have to order special part for my car gonna change me $1350 , then I decided go other place to take a look . You know what ! Other place told me I don't have to change my breaks. My breaks still good for drive ! Now after that I already drive over 3000 miles... my break still in good shape! They did a great job replacing my shocks and struts. My truck had never been anywhere else except the dealer for repairs. But when the dealer started charging for using a credit card (I wanted the points) and said the repairs would take several days, I looked for another shop and found Brakes Plus. It took them five hours --not days-- to get me back on the road. And the bill was less than what the dealer wanted. As their slogan says, "Don't pay dealer prices." read more

I have been waiting for almost 2 hours, and the employer just informed me that my car is only now going on the lifts. They keep saying it will take another 45 minutes to an hour, but it hasn't even started yet. I've never had to wait this long at any other car service. This place is not operating efficiently and shows a lack of respect for customers' time. That's why we make appointments--to help manage your workload and reduce waiting times. If people still have to wait this unacceptable hour when they arrive, I don't see the point in making an appointment at all. read more

This is the second time within the past couple of weeks that I have brought my car in for inspection. I called ahead, as I did last time, and Jonathan told me that there would only be a short wait before the work was done. Just like last time, in about 20 minutes I was paying the bill. Went to get full synthetic oil change and tire rotation service. Asked for free alignment check. When I went to pick up the car I noticed tire rotation was not done. When I asked about it initially they said it was done and then when I called them on it they said they didn't do it because back tires were better. They were planning on charging me for it until then. He backed out the $10 for tire rotation. The invoice said they filled tires to proper pressure and added windshield washer. Tire pressure was at 27. So they had not filled. Windshield washer was still empty. So not done. At this point I'm even questioning if I got the full synthetic oil that they charged me for. Note my whole family is using them for service. Well no more. Charging for extra service then lying on the invoice is unethical. I will never go there again. read more

Would give 0 stars if possible. Brought my truck in for new rear brake pads and a rear re surface job on my rotors. They did those just fine. But when it came to my front end alignment, I thought they did that just fine as well.. I was wrong. 2 days later I noticed clunky and popping noises when turning, couldn't find where it was exactly coming from so I ultimately had to take it to my dealership techs to take a look. They said the upper control arm bolts were not screwed back in, leaving them loose which allowed my upper suspension parts at risk for failure. Brake Plus let me leave with "service" that left me at risk of injury or even death. When I went back to ask them if they work with the upper control arms during a front end alignment, they denied even touching them after I showed them my diagnosis receipt from the dealership. Do not go here if you care about your own safety and if bolts or whatever else is actually even properly fitted or secured. read more
