Review of the Park area. Friday 6:45 reservation. Easy to find. Our table for six was ready upon or arrival and the hostess pointed to the number of our table, so not actually seated. Beer list wasn't updated online, but it was most of the same local breweries. Rotating options, which is always a plus. Try something new. Not very impressed with this part of the business. Chips were soft and stale, Pork nachos were quite tasty but borderline cold. Not enough runners or just unorganized. They never brought me my beer, but other guests received their beers. The guy that got it for me was super nice. That's why this review is a 3. Stage is good size, but just a solo artist was playing. He was very good and the sound quality was solid enough with an adequate volume. I would not spend my $ for this sort of place again. Bummer. Lots of potential. read more

Yurt was really really cool. However, that's where the positives mostly end. We tried the wine flight which included a Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Gamay, and a Petite Sirah. The wines were definitely wine, but they lacked body and complexity, they did not taste like mature wines. Additionally, Brambly park identifies as a winery but their wines are from all over the US. You would hope that the food would be better with the wine being so lackluster. However, the food disappointed and lacked flavor. The wings were alright...however the mushroom papardelle and the pizza both were lackluster. I really want to like this place but overall relatively disappointing. read more

Overall, I quite enjoy Brambly - from the outside experience to indoor dining, all they have to offer is generally good. The wine is particularly good. I have had some hit or miss experiences on the service side that make me weary of choosing Brambly for anything beyond a casual get together, but for those casual and - often impromptu - gatherings I think Brambly is a great fit. read more

Brambly Park is so much fun. Aside from the winter time they have a great pet friendly, outdoor section with wait staff and a live stage for music. On my first trip to Brambly Park, a group of three (+ dog) sat outside, had delicious pizza and listened to a jazz trio that was awesome. They also have a proper dining room with I a more expansive menu. If you care to move inside the indoor space is a proper restaurant with a bar and stylish decor. They really did the indoor and outdoor sections right. Choosing which experience to have I would say depends on your mood (and the weather). You can't go wrong here. If you're there with a bigger group and care to be a little bit rowdy there's an enclosed large outdoor patio that will keep you warm and dry that offers big tables and an atmosphere more centered around fun. The food is great regarding both the pizza menu and the dinner menu. The bar offers cocktails, beer and wine and the staff has in every case been friendly and pleasant. Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter - all are good for Brambly Park. Located in Scott's Addition on a far street that almost makes you feel like you're leaving the city, there's plenty of parking though when they're at their busiest you might struggle to find a spot. This was my second time at Brambly and as far as the food goes I was very disappointed. My husband and I got the margherita pizza which was honestly the worst pizza I've ever had. The crust was burnt and tasteless, the sauce had no flavor, and it had barely any seasoning. The Parmesan fries were pretty good. Throw some parm on waffle fries - would be very sad if they messed that up. Our friends got two other kinds of pizzas which they were let down by. All with the only flavor profile being burnt. Not pictured is the pasta dish our friend got which she noted tasted like boxed pasta and jarred sauce that she could've made at home for a few bucks. The one food item our table got that did taste good was the crab dip. The previous time I came here we got a meat and cheese board which was satisfying. I don't think I would come hungry to Brambly ever again. Now, as far as drinks go. Their wine is not my favorite, but my friends did enjoy it! Their mixed drinks were delicious and they have "the good ice." If you know you know. I do love the atmosphere at Brambly and the fact that they have live music some nights. We sat under the covered heated patio which was enjoyable on this chilly evening. Bottom line, go for the drinks and music, but not the food. read more

Finally got a chance to check this place out. The good: Beautiful covered patio and a yummy cocktail called Summer Punch. Great server and ambiance overall. The not so good: Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the food. I ordered a simple Margherita pizza for dinner. The sauce (which was pretty sparingly) had a great flavor, but the dough was not covered much. One piece was almost bare. And there could have been more mozzarella. For $14, I did expect there to be more sauce and cheese. Will probably be back for a visit and a cocktail but maybe not so much for dinner. read more

I walked in expecting to find a wine bar. But I never got inside - I was shocked at the huge lawn and multiple outside tables, so I never needed to go indoors. I didn't need to flag a server either. Their outdoor menus have a QR code that allows you to order online while outside, and our order goes straight to your table. It was one of the most efficient methods of ordering I've seen in a while. I kept things light, with a salad and rose wine. But both were good, and I hope an indication of things to come. PS - this is an excellent location to both eat and social distance. What a lovely place! All you need are friends + good weather & this is definitely the place to be. We made reservations the day before which I believe gets you a table. Upon arrival, we walked around back vs through the front door. We checked in at the hostess table & were taken to a table nearby. It's nice that all of them have umbrellas plus if it's super sunny, you can adjust it as needed. Due to COVID, you scan a QR code with your phone for the menu. Some items were sold out like water, but they actually had it in stock so that was a bit weird. Also wish they had a few more drinks in the selection. I enjoyed the ice cream sandwich. It was thick and I like the brownie like breading. Overall, nice experience for an hour that we stayed + nice employees. Such a delicious gem. At the furthest point of Scotts Addition, tucked into the corner is a wonderful restaurant with true homemade items. The starters are huge. You could make anything on the starter menu a meal. The wine choices we plentiful. While the house named wines were nothing to write home about, the wine menu was extensive. We really enjoyed the Montepulciano. We ordered over 10 different menu items and nothing was bad or even meh. Seriously impressed! On their website, it's so easy to make a reservation, for inside or on the heated deck, or even just sitting outside in their park. So many options!! They even have two Yurts for rent. So I've been here several times and I always felt it was a little basic. I think that's because I'm from northern VA where there are a lot of outdoor venues similar to Brambly. BUT I came here recently for happy hour and dinner and oh my gosh - the entire vibe was so much fun! First of all the pizza was super good. I got the five cheese with pepperoni and the goat cheese just took it to a different level. My friends got other pizzas and one got the chicken salad wrap - we were all super pleased. This was l the first time I sat in the covered patio space which I enjoyed. The inside is awesome too, the bar has such a fun style and atmosphere. What a hidden gem! Brambly Park was a pleasant surprise in the northside of Scott's Addition. It was a great place for a summer lunch. My husband and I arrived and were seated promptly (we got there as soon as it opened). We sat outside under a covered patio. There was plenty of seating all over: inside, in the shade, even in the sun! The system they have set up to order was very easy, I am not sure if it is because of Covid-19 or that is how it is going to stay, but I liked it. As a guest you pull up the menu and order and pay right on your phone. We started with drinks and the pimento plate. The pimento cheese was delicious with the pickled carrots and fresh potato chips. I got a glass of Riesling which was great too! We ordered lunch after a little bit. The chicken salad wrap was very good and the turkey sandwich looked filling. I cannot wait to go back when it is a little cooler out. I know it will be a spot to take visitors and locals often! There was plenty of parking and the staff was incredible! read more

The food continues to underwhelm. OANZELLA salad had very few cucumbers and tomatoes, it was basically a bowl of the croutons with some decoration on top. The worst is sitting in the park. You order by QR code, and a 20% gratuity is added. The thing is, there is no way to ask questions or modify as no server visits until they are beginning your food. Once our food was delivered, it was several minutes before they came back with Utensils. We never saw the server again. We were not checked on to see if everything was OK, and plates were not cleared. How is that worth 20%? read more

started out bad from the get go. made reservations for what said standard inside seat and the hostess proceeded to give me a story about how we'd have to sit at a picnic table not even in the enclosed outdoor area. she was incredibly rude and condescending about the entire situation so we decided to sit at the bar. i've never had bar staff try to hard to avoid people as these folks did. we had to sit for over 30 minutes before they took our entree order despite us trying to get their attention. then after all of that our food came out almost an entire hour after we placed the order and one of our dishes came out 10 minutes prior to the other members of our party. both of our pasta dishes were cold along with the french fries we ordered. only thing that was warm was the pizza. while this place has a great ambiance, the service was absolutely horrendous and the food was cold and subpar for the price point. there are other places that are much better to visit in richmond than this one. couldn't bring myself to recommend you go here. read more

Had a terrific brunch here a few weeks ago - will definitely be going back, and I see this as a solid option for planning a gathering with friends of all ages, and their pets, when the spirit moves in that direction. With option of fully indoors, outdoor covered patio, and outdoor-with-pet-and-kid-play-areas, I'm not surprised that the place was jumping at 1pm on a Sunday. Food's really good, squarely in the comfort-with-friends zone. Finally made it out to Brambly Park for dinner in the accompanying restaurant, Bari. For those of you that have still yet to make it out to this winery/brewery park on the edge of Scott's Addition, the space is awesome! Beautiful park setting with picnic tables and a huge patio outside. Indoors is spacious with a homey vibe. We dined indoors because I wanted to try the homemade pasta options which, if you've read my reviews, you will know is the only acceptable way I'm paying for pasta in a restaurant. After much deliberation, I went with the mixed green salad with pickled red onions, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and a basil vinaigrette and the pasta with sausage, kale, and ricotta salata in a creamy vodka sauce. That simple salad was the highlight of the meal. I've been dreaming about the sour, tangy pickled red onion and dressing combo for days. I could literally eat that salad everyday and be content in life. The pasta dish was acceptable but not anything to rave about. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked but I felt the sauce was lacking in flavor. I wish there was more leafy kale parts instead of mostly stems and I wanted more spice in the sauce. I boxed most of it up and happy to report the flavors expanded a bit overnight and with a healthy dose of crushed red pepper really hit the spot the next day. Also tried the tiramisu which was pretty spot on. And the craft cocktails we tried looked stunning as were very refreshing. All in all, I would say it's a solid 4 stars and I will definitely be back for that salad. One final note. They have parking but it's a shitshow there. Plan to get there really early or be prepared to park a few streets away and walk! read more

Tonight was my first night eating at brambly Park and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has a lot of outdoor seating and it is kid friendly but we were there on a Monday night and there was cornhole tournaments and bocce ball so I'm not sure but there was nothing for the kids to do except for a run luckily I brought some toys and games so I would just recommend if you are going to have back ups in the car. I was told there's plenty of things for kids to do but I didn't see it there tonight. We had a very large dinner party and everybody got their food so quick I was very impressed with the speed of the kitchen and the promptness of the staff to our needs in such a large establishments. I would suggest that you do make reservations as even though it was a Monday it was slammed I can't imagine what this place is like on the weekends. I do think the next time we come we won't bring the kids while kids were there it was difficult to enjoy my food because the fence is not fenced in and that and my youngest could slip under and be gone in an instant towards the train tracks or parking lot.
