Very disappointed. Service was slow and inattentive. Place was too LOUD at lunch time. The worst part was what they serve as "ox tail" was actually beef neck bones. Very little meat, mostly fat and expensive at $25. I'm a chef who knows the difference between these two cuts. Beans and rice were dry and everything was over sauced and too sweet. read more

3 stars has nothing to do with food and everything to do with service. My family and I walked in and didn't get a very warm welcome. The woman and man working the front of house were kind and chatty with the other tables but seemed to ignore us. The only reason I can think of is because we were with our two young kids, didn't order drinks or apps and they just didn't want to waste their time on our table. Best club sandwich - ever! We were driving around Chatham when we came across this hidden gem. I had an incredible club sandwich. I was more like a bacon sandwich with turkey, lettuce and tomato. We loved Branches! This place is small and cozy but not cramped with great service and great food. I had the goat curry and it was delicious. My wife had the oxtail and liked it. They also served a complimentary tasting of beef and squash soup that I would return for just for a full serving. Our server was Natasha or Natalia (we each heard something different) but she was very attentive and provided great service. In short, this was our first visit to Branches but won't be our last. The service could not have been better not was beyond outstanding. 50% of the party had specific request: Seafood allergy, gluten free. They were soooo accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were completely happy. For us that's 75% of the experience right there but the food was amazing too. My son had the chicken panini which he said was the beat sandwich he's ever had. The steamed snapper was amazing and the jerk pork was incredible. Everything was hot and fresh. Also has great tradtional American dishes for the people in my party who were less adventurous. Pulled pork, burgers, salads and wraps at lunch, pancakes, omlettes, Chicken n waffles, French toast etc. I've tried them all and all had me wanting more.
