I haven't always had the best experience at BM but this time was the worst. I came here to buy a new refrigerator and was sold a floor sample that was non-functioning. The most upsetting thing is that we ask the salesperson to plug it in before buying it but he refused by responding "we don't do that here." To me this indicates that he cared more about making commission than helping his customer. DO NOT SHOP AT BRANDSMART!!! The worst customer service ever! They will sell you a warranty and then sit back and finger point for a month while you wait with a broken refrigerator! My refrigerator has been broken for over a month now and they have sent the repair guys 5 times. Finally deemed it "unrepairable" one week before Thanksgiving and now I have to wait for authorization to get a new one (let's see how long that takes) and who knows what else. No sense of urgency or accountability. No empathy or customer service (except for 1 customer service manager who has nice but hasn't been able to resolve our issues). But that is not enough to make up for everything. There are a lot of options people. So run, don't walk, somewhere other than Brandsmart!! And read the other reviews. They are loosing 1 start because their drivers were abusive and disrespectful, insulted my wife and they are lucky I wasn't home. First they bring a damage refrigerator knowing full well it was damaged, then insulted my wife by telling her the valve didn't work because our appliances were about 40 yrs old (the house is less than 20 and the refrigerator less than 10) and the valve ended up being good, they also made her go outside to turn the water on while they waited inside the house. I paid extra (and it wasn't cheap) for them to do all of that so I don't need her rudeness. I come home with a voltmeter and test the outlet and both of them read at 123.3 (got pictures). What could have taken a day or 2 and be a pleasant experience, who doesn't like 4 new appliances, turned into a nightmare from hell because Brandsmart wants to cheap out on paying for experienced installers. Dear Robert I hope all is well. I am writing you because I am tired of I have exhausted all the chances to speak to someone who can resolve my problem. I bought three appliances at the beginning of December and they were scheduled to be delivered on Dec 21. On that day, I paid for someone to stay at the house to receive the appliances. The truck drivers arrived after 7pm and my handyman had left. I spoke to the dispatcher and we friendly agreed to have the appliances delivered on December 30th. It's Christmas time and I don't want to make this guy's life miserable before the holidays. On December 30th the delivery takes place as planned and NY handyman is there to receive the appliances. The truck driver drops a stove on the floor damaging the piece. Two pieces she delivered and the stove is brought back to the store for replacement. The dispatcher calls me and apologizes. Very inconvenient for me as the new tenant moves in without a stove. Buy we agree for a delivered on January 7th between noon and 3pm. It is confirmed via txt message. I ask the tenant to be there to receive the stove. The truck driver arrives at 11am and nobody is home. They leave. I get a call from brandsmart and after one hour waiting I finally speak to someone who said that it would be rescheduled. I ask to talk to a manager that gets to the dispatcher recognizing the mistake and ask them to go back to deliver the stove. Finally the stove is delivered at around 2pm. The tenant asked about installation and the guy said that he could not install and hall away the old one. He is very disrespectful to the older lady and leaves with the new stove, leaving the old one there. I called the dispatcher and nobody answers. I am sure this is not the type of service that you expect from your employees. I am not asking for financial compensation. I am just asking for a decent service to a client that already paid for the service and can't get her product delivered for incompetence of the employees. My son bought ALL of his appliances at BrandsMart, while building his home in Miami, because of supply chain issues, he was encouraged to order early. Home was being built so there was no way of knowing if everything will be the right fit, unfortunately when it came to the kitchen, the very expensive KitchenAid hood vent, did not work out. He called and was told to go back to store and return it, when I got there it was over 30 days and I spoke to store manager and corporate manager and they all adhered to the one year and the 30 days, even though item is still in stock and was in its original box and was delivered under a year ago.They no longer remember what they said when ordering and the problem with supply chain. So take advice, get it IN WRITING and better yet shop somewhere else where they will honor their word. I have names of everyone I spoke to. About a year ago we bought a TV and sound system from Brandsmart and we used their installation services to mount the TV to the wall as well as the sound system. Everything was fine, the TV and sound system were working great and the installation of the mount was beautifully done. Fast forward several months later and we bumped into the sound bar and it came off the wall completely. Our warranty on the installation was up but we still wanted to use Brandsmart to reinstall and mount the equipment onto the wall. We called Brandsmart and set up an installation of the mount again. (At a reasonable price) Calling to set up the appointment for the work was easy and quick. BrandsMart sent out Darius and Eugene to our home to fix our problem and they did it with ease. I've been going to Brandsmart for years now, and even though I'm not really a fan of the fleemarket-like ambiance I feel there, I can say that the prices are good, the products are good and the service is mostly good. I regularly find what I'm looking for, and the Credit Card with the 6-months/one-year (depends on what you buy and how much you spend) with no interest plans is a very good help. Most of the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Well, NOW. Once upon a time, not so much: I did have an issue in 2013 with the delivery/assembly personnel (note that the fridge delivery I got two years ago went without a hitch, and last year's washer/dryer delivery was also a pretty straightforward process); but that one time, about four years ago, the grill was a birthday gift for my father. We had informed the store about this, and they promised the grill would be home within a time window provided by them, promising it would be ready grill for the birthday party. We called when the time frame was ending. about 3 pm, if I remember correctly. We called an hour after. We called when the guests started arriving... When the delivery team finally arrived, they didn't know how to assemble the grill... even reading the instructions. How do I know this? well, they finished the assembly, then disassemble everything and started over... because it wasn't fitting right. they finally left it assembled kind-of-well-enough, and the grill still works (though we already had to replace a few parts). The thing is.... if a store sends someone to assemble your product, they should a) arrive on time, and b) know what they are doing. But I will repeat that this was the one and so far ONLY issue I've had with Brandsmart, Also, the parking lot has more than enough space for customers. read more

I was first excited when I got the job here, but when I realized I was put on a job probation period for 90 days, for no stupid reason at the start of the job and unceremoniously & wrongfully terminated after my probation period ended just because I was late and I gave my incompetent P.O.S. of a manager a valid reason why I was late, like, I was stuck in traffic for example. And I am a very hard worker & I know that I have been doing my job the right way because I have been evaluating myself from my perspective. For future reference, as a prospective employee, don't work here because their probation period is what sucks and what also sucks is that they don't have a tardiness forgiveness policy they are extremely strict on what time you have to be there at even if you give them good reasons for an excuse why you were late. What also sucks is the pay rate they have you start at. I was earning $10 an hour and had living expenses to pay up for and I came up short to pay for my expenses. It sucks that they would have you start at minimum wage when I already have enough job experience under my resume. I'd rather apply & continue working at Gamestop, Abercrombie & Fitch, Macy's/Bloomingdales or Best Buy if I had to rather than apply as a stock associate or warehouse associate at BrandsMart USA. They have tardiness forgiveness policies, their managers are very lenient & understandable, and last but not least they are respectable. The Manager that supervised me was an asshole and treated me like I was a number when he told me that I wasn't mean't for a job like this, especially when I worked as a stock associate. And besides Best Buy, Home Furnitures stores(like El Dorado or Ashley's Furniture & HHGregg) sells better products than Brandsmart and at better prices. read more

Mario's customer service and communication as he worked through the installation was exceptional. Mario is a credit to BrandsMart and should be recognized for his good work. Along the way he communicated to me via texts and photographs and answered any questions I had. At the end of the installation, Mario sent me a video of the installed unit along with photographs. I bought a refrigerator from Brandsmart on South Dixie Highway. The first refrigerator had obvious physical damage. They offered a 10% discount. I did not want a discount, I wanted an undamaged unit. Today was their 4th attempt at delivering a damaged refrigerator. I have spoken to their customer service supervisor. I spoke to my salesperson, who assured me he spoke to the store manager, who was going to make sure the next refrigerator was delivered undamaged. Well, that was a lie. It still was delivered with obvious physical damage. How can a business remain open with such bad customer. The first and last team who delivered refrigerators were kind and understanding. The second and third teams were rude and angry at me for not accepting delivery. They even told me that if I don't accept delivery they won't get paid. I have bought a bunch of items from Brandsmart with great success. You need to find associates that are knowledgeable within the individual depts. I fairly recently bought a high end 75" TV from them including the extended warranty. The TV had issues from the beginning. I tried to swap wires and trouble shoot on my own with guidance from the associates at the store. With no luck i called the extended warranty company. They made a repair that they thought was the issue and it had no success. It was impossible to talk with the techs given they spoke no english. I called them out for a second time to fix the issue in which the same techs showed up, said it was the same issue as last time and wants to change the same part out which is pointless. Iv been dealing with this since i bought the TV, dealing with Techs for 8 months now, and I'm literally being laughed at by them. At this point the extended warranty is a total waste of money with zero help from the techs. The TV has been a wall decoration with hardly no use since it doesn't function or work properly. Its outrageous that someone could send 1000's of dollars at the store and get any help on the back end. Such a run around, waste of time for the buyer, and a huge inconvenience for the customer. This place is ginormous. And it truly embodies that word: Obscenely, ridiculously, absurdly large yet, strangely irritating. There are always too many people in the building than can comfortably fit there. The parking situation is a joke: It's shared parking, so you're going to either fight to the death for a spot or just give up, park in Guam, and walk. The inside is arranged like a Flea Market: Stacks of items. Lots of items. Of all shapes and sizes. They have DVDs. They have Coffee Makers. They have TVs and Freezers and Toasters and Home Phones. They have Crock Pots and Cameras, Printers and GPS. I don't think there's a way to make this much merchandise NOT look like a Flea Market. So: The selection is certainly there. Their quality does range... from bottom of the barrel junk to mid-level quality. You won't find the Top-of-the-Line products here, but then, if you're into the Top-of-the-Line, you're not shopping at BrandsMart. Because this is a "Bargain Basement" place. The Pricing is low. Not always the lowest, but generally low. Their Salespeople work on commission, and it shows. The good news is that there are usually enough of them to get your questions answered. The bad news is that once SuperSalesMan5000 has glommed onto you, you will not get a moment's peace until you hand over your American Express or run screaming from the building. Maybe their co-salespeople (SuperSalesMan4000 and SuperSalesMan3000) will snatch your sale from under them if they let go of you. I don't know. I do know that I do NOT like being stalked, and I am perfectly capable of finding YOU again when I NEED you. I think the average consumer can understand the simple sentence: "I work on commission, here's my card, my name is SuperSalesMan5000, please find me when you are ready for my help!" But no, that wouldn't be SALES, would it? So, at BrandsMart, I'm reduced to hiding in the shadows of a stack of Refrigerators until SuperSalesMan5000 has glommed onto someone ELSE, and it's safe to browse again. For five minutes. Until ANOTHER one spots you. (SuperSalesMan2000, perhaps?) *Sigh* Then there's The Waiting. Once you've pledged your firstborn... excuse me. Once you've DECIDED to buy whatever gadget it is you're buying, you get to WAIT. First, SuperSalesMan5000 will lead you to a Computer Station. Then, he will ask you every conceivable personal question about you, your address, your car, what size shoe you wore when you were Seven. THEN, he'll tap the keys some more. For awhile. Finally, he'll print you out a paper to sign, and hand it to you. Then.... YOU GET TO GO WAIT IN LINE!! BrandsMart's line system rivals only the DMV. Cordoned-off, leading up to bulletproof glass windows (presumably) with people behind them, eagerly waiting to take your hard-earned money. I say "Presumably" because there are never fewer than 50 people in this area, and you can't actually see who or what you are waiting in line for. We guessed it was to pay, turns out we were right. Once you've waited in THAT line, you get to hike back to Guam (Remember? Where you left your car? Maybe you should have drawn a map, or left a trail of breadcrumbs or something...) Anyhow, you get to retrieve your car, drive it up to the loading bay, and... ...WAIT! Wait some MORE!! YESSSSS!!! (There is an incredible Food Vendor out there. He's got Sabrett Hot Dogs and Arepas and cold water and he's just the BEST. Ricky's Arepas. If you see one of his stands here, or at an Art Show, or ANYWHERE... just stop and eat. You'll be glad you did.) After you've finished your snack, they may have called your name, and it's disco time. You're almost there. At this point, you back up your car, and try to fit that awesome 58'' plasma into a Volkswagen GTi Good Luck! Aaaaaaand you're done!! You're OUT! YOU'VE SURVIVED!! You get to go HOME... and deal with... ...hooking up the Satellite, and the DVR, and the Blu-Ray, and the Wii, and the Surround Sound System... to your BRAND NEW TV! Oh, Crap. This store scares, me, yet intrigues me at the same time. It's a big circular pit, filled with a fantastic selection of all sorts of merchandise for the home. Like Target and Best Buy rolled into one. But it's crowded and has it's own way of doing things. For instance, you are not allowed to take the carts with your merchandise to your car. You have to get a guy from the store to load the stuff for you (then tip him). Still, I like it because it's a trip into another world. For large electronics, like tvs, etc, I think I personally would still go with Best Buy because they will match Brandsmart's prices and I like the Best Buy warranties. read more

I've got a love-hate relationship with BrandsMart. I've bought MANY things here (and other) locations. My recent visit was depressing. Looking for a toaster oven, I was able to find the section with the ovens, but the quality was VERY poor. Their TV and appliance sections are whittled with salespeople. Usually, they are rather competitive with on line vendors, but frankly, you probably can get overall better quality from on line vendors. If you plan on buying one of the aforementioned appliances, do your homework WAY before you show up. The sales people are VERY uneducated. It's not their fault. They have too many things to sell and it's probably very easy to confuse the items. Although this isn't a favorable review, I still will end up going to their shop in the future. Am I a glutton for pain and agony? No. Would I rather buy those appliances in Best Buy? Heck no! I will admit that I've always loved their loading dock system for large appliances. Well I guess I wouldn't be to motivated to sale if I was only getting paid seven bucs an hour. So I walk towards the phone cases. I look around for a bit kind of confused because I didn't know much about the difference of each. I stood their for a good fifteen mins keep in mind I'm right near the associates. They look at me and when I make eye contact look the other way. Another reason why brandsmart gets two stars is because even on Black Friday the deals weren't even that great. I felt as if they kept the normal price but got tickets with a higher price and did the whole save 25 percent thing. Nothing special nothing really that useful. Look at the amount of real-estate this local retailer takes out of the Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel. Almost all my family's kitchen appliances, VCRs followed by DVD players, and TVs come from Brandsmart because by sheer volume alone, this place beats the crap out of Best Buy. I got a great deal on a car security alarm and they do installations here also for car electronics. Lots of business owners from Latin America and the Caribbean travel to Brandsmart to buy their wares in bulk and ship'em back home to sell there--why? Cause Brandsmart's buying power gets them better deals then ordering direct from manufacturers. The place is overwhelming so be prepared to go early before the crowds on a weekend. After fighting for six weeks to get a refrigerator replaced because it failed, when it finally got delivered I was totally disrespected by the delivery man. You see, I'm transgender, and identify as female. The deliveryman insisted on calling me sir even after I corrected him. I mean, let's be realistic. I have a very feminine hairstyle, pierced ears, Long painted fingernails, painted toenails, and I was wearing pink skirt and top. I know my voice is a bit deep, but I did correct him twice and he continued to disrespect me and even emphasized when he said sir. Upon calling customer service, the supervisor seemed sympathetic but said all he could do was speak with the delivery man about the situation. This company does not care about its customers, it only cares about making money. Making money is fine. This is America after all. But, customer relations and basic respect and etiquette should be first and foremost with any company who deals with the public. Maybe you don't care about this transgender girls experiences as they don't affect you, but, maybe you do care about courtesy and respect and will take this into consideration when you think of buying from the store. read more

Despite others and their negative reviews, I had a positive experience. I am pro Customer Service, so I was watching everything in the store, such as: The setup- Televisions are a big seller, I would have placed the televisions on the top floor, so the customers can have a look through the whole store first and make decisions. Placing appliances on the top floor, was not a smart decision. As I was intrigued to look through the whole store, we stopped right where the tvs were on the main floor. And after looking at the tv selections and prices. I said forget it to the top floor. The Quality- They have a small selection of Samsung TVS, which is high on demand. There was not much to compare to, however, they had kinda of one of each, ex: all samsung the makes were lcd/led/and dlp. The Staff- Out of many staff members there, a handful were polite, knowledgeable and offered help. Frank in cell phones- offered help and advised unlocked phones for tmobile devices. Someone else offered help, but I wish he told me his name, because we decided on a tv and he was no were to be found. He had personality to! Rafael, ended up helping us, was knowledgable of the tvs make and models and provided prices and walked us over to financing. and made small talk, it was genuine and nice.
