I am a long-time customer of Brandsmart. And until today have never had a problem. I made a purchase the other day. When I went to pick up , it was out of stock. The guys in the warehouse ordered it. Today I called to see if it had come in. I called shortly after the store opened. The recording came on for over 10 minutes I waited when the person finally answered it turned out The phone number on the receipt does not connect you to that store ,she transferred me. The phone rang and rang and rang with no recording for over 10 minutes and then went dead. After that I called back a couple of times waited a few minutes and nobody ever answered. Very frustrating. Seems like everybody wants a paycheck but nobody wants to earn it. On the bright side the guys in the warehouse were awesome. They ordered it for me and even though I couldn't confirm its delivery I took the chance and picked it up. It had been delivered . They were able to get me out of there and on my way quickly. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Brandsmart and all of my family for a vert long time. Brandsmart WAS always the store to get a great deal on Appliance and Electronics but never had a return issue until until now and had to deal with the Non Enforced Return Policy and the Non Customer Relations dept. This company projects. Very Sad... There always a 1st time and there is a last time for everything... * Unfortunately, Brandsmart Customer Relations and the Return Policy with it's shady Gray Return Policy has left a lasting negative impression on me about its store and future purchases. I have been a customer of Brandsmart for over 20 years. Today I visited the one in Palmetto Bay on 160th street. I will never ever go back here. The worst customer service in the world. They lost my credit for a return and they had me there for over an hour as they researched it. I was treated terribly, not acknowledged and the ManagementTeam did nothing to help the situation. They hid in a room which I went to and avoided the entire situation. By far the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I would never recommend this Brandsmart. read more

The DEATH of Customer Service No matter what policy and procedures are in place in a company if you provide products or services to customers and there is a Big Problem with that product it was common knowledge that Customer Service should be priority. So why in my 30 years as a consumer have I had to endure the verbal abuse and cynical response from the Manager of BrandsMart? Our family purchased a Recliner and the main purpose of this purchase was for our 74 year old grandmother who went through Hip Replacement Surgery and needed a comfortable recliner to rest in. the Night of the purchase My husband and I went to BrandsMart on US1 and SW 159th Street (16051 S. Dixie Hwy) to look over their selection. I spoke with their sales rep and we explained the situation to her that our grandmother is in pain and if the chair is not to satisfaction if it could be returned. The sales Rep was polite and gladly agreed that if the chair will be allowed to be returned with no problems. The Chair did no work out for our grandmother as we found it to be UNSTABLE! She reclined and the chair leaned forward sliding her onto the ground. My Husband had to rush her aid and assist her to bed, she refused to sit in that chair so we replaced it and she in turn gave us the chair. After a week of having the chair in our house I was sitting in it reclined and I moved to adjust myself slightly and the chair tipped forward and I fell to the ground. This Chair has no stability when it is reclined and if you weigh less than 200 lbs. it will tip forward and fall. We took the chair back to BrandsMart expecting to return the "Defective" Chair and the receipt had a note printed saying 0 day return. This was not at all explained to my husband and me. If that were the case we would not have purchased something that could not be returned. The District Manager dismissed us on that note on the receipt and we asked to speak to the Sales Rep that sold us the chair and he stated forcefully that He has the last word and No we cannot speak to the Rep. I went into the store to find the Sales Rep and found the District Manager next to her and as I spoke to her she changed her whole story citing exactly what the district Manager just told us, and I told her that it was untrue that she NEVER mentioned the 0 day return policy because WE ASKED IF IT COULD BE RETURNED! I went back to the returns office and my husband and brought and assembled the recliner right there and the District Manager who probably weighs more the 250 lbs. sat in the chair and partially reclined it. He stood up and said that the chair is find it is not defective and for us to leave. We asked to speak to his Manager and he laughed and said I can give you his number but he's on vacation. And he walked away repeating like a child "chair is not defective, chair is not defective, chair is not defective." I was upset and appalled by his mannerism and rude behavior because I asked another customer service agent there what the hell has happened to customer service? BrandsMart does NOT CARE about Customers, Any other company would hear their customer's issues with courteous behavior and instead the childlike immaturity and unprofessional power trip that the district manager displayed makes me want to submit every possible review of how TERRIBLE BRANDSMART TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THE WELL BEING OF HAPPY CUSTOMER SHOULD ALWAYS TAKE PRECEDENT TO ANY REDICULOUS RETURN POLICY, THE ITEM HAD A RECEIPT THE ITEM WAS BROUGHT WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE, WE HAD A SAFETY CONCERN WITH THIS RECLINER AND INSTEAD OF LISTENING, THEY JUST DISMISSED US AND TOLD US TO "DEAL WITH THE MANUFACTURER OURSELVES" I will never recommend BrandsMart for ANYTHING to anyone after this humiliating treatment from a District Manager. read more

We purchase a fridge for us at this Brandsmart location online and to pick up in store. Online process went by smoothly almost perfect with not problems. When we arrived at this location there is no visible sign that says pick ups here. We asked one of the attendants where you pickup you items after you check in where should we go and pointed to the merchandise return center. As we arrived, there were 3 boys sitting there with no welcoming greeting. Just "online pick up? You need to have your I'd ready." I felt it a bit rushed and very unwelcoming. What a horrible experience. Bought my first home and needed a new fridge because it came with a broke one. Back in September 3rd 2020 was told it would deliver in 2 weeks. It's now November 19. Every month they have upped the ETA. They change it and do not care to give you any good customer service. They hang up on you, do not help you with choosing another fridge. Nothing. They came with my new refrigerator. I was so happy. But they did not align the doors and one door protrudes more that the other. They did not take off the plastic. They did not adjust the ice service, so if ice were bullets, I would be dead! It was almost the same as an automatic weapon. When I called to get them to come out and fix these things today, they told they would come sometime on Wednesday. No appointment, no time. I am just supposed to clear my day so they can come. And I bought a 5-year warranty. Imagine that! What horrible customer service. They did that with the delivery, but I thought that would be a one time thing, but no, this is their terrible customer service. We are supposed to wait around for them. Anybody who has read my review can see my fair and impartial critiques. This is probably my 4th take on the Brandsmart experience. I can honestly tell you I will never ever shop there again,. The experience has been so awful and ongoing and unpleasant that it is now a matter of pride and dignity and morals to not shop there. I once again received a bill for a refrigerator I never got (The wrong model was delivered and did not fit through the door). I also am being charged $62 penalty for not bothering to make a payment on a phantom fridge. Since November I have been calling and speaking with the morons at the store. This is including sales clerks, billing, sales and the manager. When I went in December to buy a TV (this is the equivalent of self-mutilation in many religions), i was told I couldn't because I owed a fridge I wasn't making payments on. After a looooooooon process of explaining and supposedly clearing the matter, I was allowed to buy the TV. Yesterday, a month later, I have a TV AND A FRIDGE on my bill plus a penalty. I called Linda M (shown here in YELP and she was helpful nd sent me to SYNCHRONY BANK. The bank had me owing the tv and the fridge and told me to call the store. By this time, I am homicidal and explained I was told to call the bank. She promised to clear it, to open an investigation (aint the same as "clearing") and remove the penalty. We will see if this nightmare is over soon. BRANDSMART IS THE WORST EXAMPLE OF A RETAIL EXPERIENCE. They have good prices but its just not worth it. Pay a few cents more and go somewhere else. I always think of Brandsmart as the last place to shop because I would never expect this chaotic feeling place to have what I needed. Ironically, it's where I always end up making a quality purchase at a great price. I needed something very specific: a dishwasher 2" shorter than average because a tile installation resulted in less height between the finished floor and the countertop. A standard height dishwasher would no longer fit. After trying five other places which didn't have such an item and getting poor service, I decided why not check Brandsmart. (Honestly I expected that I would leave the store empty-handed. Surprisingly, Brandsmart had the exact special size model I needed, at 30% below the $799 list price. I wish I hadn't wasted my time at hh Gregg and other places. The Brandsmart salesman was also helpful in choosing the right installation lit as well as refrigerator water lines which had also gone kaput. Great pricing on the water lines, too. I Bought on line and picked up at store a specific Samsung tv model before Black Friday that advertised 36 month financing and 15% credit when using your brandsmart card. This is the worst store I've ever shopped in. I bought an oven and they managed to send me the wrong one. When the right one finally arrived, it had a big dent hidden on the side. Upon speaking with a manager about this, I was told this was not their problem and to figure it out on my own. After the employee in the Returns Department demonstrated how to set up my new tv, she carelessly forgot to put the power cord in the box. Nevertheless, when I arrived home, I was dispelased with the oversight. Calling the South Dade location is a nightmare. I was transferred several times from one inconsiderate individual to another until I found "Arturo", the Returns Department manager. Unfortunately for me, Arturo did not find fault in his employee's error. When I suggested that he send one of His drivers to deliver my power cord, he laughed. When I suggested that he do something to compensate me for my time, he chuckled. It's not funny. In fact, it is appalling. Consumers are busy...busy working. Taking time off work and driving 20 miles to BransMart to purchase a tv for grandpa was supposed to be a one-trip activity, not two. However, according to BrandsMart, and "Arturo", it is MY problem, MY cost to bare. The only thing I shed is BrandsMart from my destination list. I really liked Brandsmart but they need to be responsable if they sell poor quality products. I bought and Avanti portable ice maker and within few months the unit completely died. Avanti authorized Brandsmart to exchange the unit. After 5 month the replacement unit died too. Neither Avanti nor Brandsmart are willing to replace this defective brand line. Do not buy any Avanti products and do not expect Brandsmart to provide reasonable customer satisfaction. read more

Horrible service, my mom came home crying from how the customer service manager treated her. She went back to the store she had purchased this tv about 2 weeks ago. She had it in the box waiting for us her children to come home to set it up for her as she does not know. When we took it out of the box we noticed when we plugged in the tv that it was damaged. My mom has not moved it the whole time. We checked where the plug was had still been wrapped in plastic. You could not. See it was broken until you plugged it in. The problem is internal. She went back to the store to replace it. The "manager" treated her horrible, told her she bought the tv to then break it herself to return it. That makes no sense. He made her feel horrible. She told him she would never do that she has bought there for years and never returned one item. He said he doesn't care and laughed at her. She told him he does not have to be so mean and why is he treating her like that he said thank you. I don't care and laughed. He also told her he would call security to take the tv and go. She asked him his name because he had no id tag and he said I'm not giving you my name. I'm the manager that's all . He was tall and with a bit of a belly. She came crying home and she says she will never go there again. This has saddened me so badly, I will never recommend Brandsmart ever again. How can someone treat someone so badly. We had a much better visit here. The associates are friendlier and more attentive than the Dadeland store. We bought our teen her birthday gift and during checkout, we encountered another issue with the Fortiva store card. Note to anyone considering to apply for the Fortiva store card; just don't. It is quite inconvenient that BrandsMart still has not figured out a way to look up a customer's account online without violating their privacy. Maybe allow the customer to enter their last 4 digits of their SS# into a keypad. Until then it is tedious to go throw the same ordeal each time we decide to use the store card. Our female associate this time respected my husband's request and did NOT write down the information on to a sticky note and set aside. According to her, if they write it down, they are required to shred it in front of the customer. Maybe the Dadeland store did not receive that memo. The assistant manager that assisted with our purchase was aloof and did not sympathize with my husband's concerns. I remember when Brandmart prices could not be beat. As an owner of several apartment buildings I shop quite ofter for appliances. The past few times I've shopped, Lowe's has beaten Brandsmart significantly. Additionally, I've noticed that Brandsmart will list one price, but once you place it in your cart, the price increases. A Frigidaire refrigerator (same model number) was 1200 clearance price at Brandsmart. I bought it at Lowes for 899 with free delivery. What gives? read more

I'm from out of town. I was in Miami on a layover and went to brandsmart looking for a laptop part. Since I don't live in Miami, I had no idea what brandsmart is like. The attendant seemed to know very little, but he was able to find someone who had basic knowledge of electronics. They pointed me to a product which stated on the back that it would fit my device and I purchased it. I took it out to the car and tested it -- it turned out that it did not fit after all. I took the part back inside the store for a refund - thats when the brandsmart started. When I went into the store for a refund, they told me that I had to go around to the side of the building. Returns were not allowed in the main building. "What?" I wondered "I have to use the servants' entrance to return a part?". When I went around to the side and passed through the servants' entrance, I was greeted by a dimly lit room full of unhappy people. There were two employees, one who had clearly had the soul sucked out of her years ago and another who relished his job, to serve 30 people. This was purgatory. I watched as the employees gave person after person excuses for why brandsmart would not honor its warranty, and would not give them refunds for their non-working electronics. There was the guy with the TV that didn't work, the guy with the electric skateboard that didn't skate, etc. Eventually, my turn came. Fortunately, they did give me a refund, perhaps because I had purchased the item just an hour before. Of course, they couldn't actually issue the refund there. I had to go back to the main part of the building for that. I felt like brandsmart's process was designed to discourage people from getting refunds for non-working or mis-sized items. I suspect that this tactic works, and will never buy anything from this company again. read more

Having driven 22 minutes and after searching online for a Tone Infinim Wireless Earbud Neckband Silver Headphones with 2 units IN STOCK (local system and online website) at the Brandsmart Dixie Highway, Miami, Fl store for a price close to $50, a novice young sales worker ensured to me they never sold the brand LG for the product in the store and it wasn't true. In addition, a departmental manager confirmed my information but people steal easily at the store. After a continuously complaining, came the manager. His best explanation was literally and for the record "IN STOCK doesn't mean to be IN EXISTENCE". Ridiculous. Meanwhile, I was using the walk-in talk at the same time I explained such absurd answer. Worst Customer Service delivery ever!!! Buyer beware!! Brandsmart only cares about selling and money!! I purchased a refrigerator that was on back order. I was informed it could take 1-2 months or more. I was immediately fully charged for the item and extended warranty although I would not have it for a month or more. After a month I contacted customer service for status and to my surprise found that the item had arrived and they were waiting for me to call to schedule. I explained the salesman had informed me I would be called once the item arrived and customer service explained he placed the item on "will call" which to them means the customer will call to schedule delivery. I contacted the store and spoke to the store Manager who was very dismissive, kept me on hold over 20 minutes and then told me he could do nothing for me being that I was not the only person with this issue. I contacted Corporate and was asked to email the details, which I did a week ago and have not heard back at all! My refrigerator was delivered yesterday and to my surprise the salesman failed to sell me the water line needed to connect the ice maker. Thankfully the delivery crew (Ryder) had water lines in their truck and not only provided me with one but completed the installation successfully. As far as Brandsmart is concerned, they do not care about their customers in the slightest bit!! It is only about sales and money for them!! The store manager of this store his name is Sam was very rude while we were trying to purchase a $4000 tv. He never paid attention to me as a costumer never bothered to ask what I needed or how he can close the sale. We have spent over 15k in products from BrandsMart through the years but the last few times we tried we were again not pleased with costumer service.
