She was super friendly and the complete opposite of the brandy melville stereotype. The other workers were friendly too. Also the clothes fit me great and work well for my body type. The selection at this store is fantastic! Unfortunately, the staff is the polar opposite. I currently work in customer service and they sure need a better screening when hiring staff. I really do like shopping at brandy because as a petite girl it's nice that I can find things that fit properly. The brandy Melville I absolutely love to shop at is the one in Orange County at the Irvine spectrum. It's a hit or miss with the staff at this location, sometimes they're super bubbly and are amazingly friendly. Then sometimes they look miserable as hell being there. Some of the other brandy stores I've been to have no problem taking clothes off the manikins but the one here it's life or death if I even touch it... the selection this brandy has is more of the neutral tones rather than the colorful tones which sometimes is great if I'm wanting to get more in those colors. Overall three stars because I think the staff can be a little bit more humble on how they approach customers. read more

I was here with my sister for about an hour and we were looking around shopping like typical teenagers in any store. After about 30 minutes or so my sister tried on some clothes and i stood near the fitting rooms waiting and looking at jewelry. My sister was done trying on clothes and i told her to look at earrings i found funny. Then after we went to check out. And we both got 2 shirts each and it came up to about $100 for the both of us. We had also shopped a little at the mall near Brandy as well. As we were leaving there was a worker near the metal sensors things to detect if you're stealing or not which I thought was odd once i left. But we were leaving and the sensors went off. Me and my sister believed she somehow had sent them off because we weren't stealing at all. And the worker who was near the sensors ask to look through our bags and empty our pockets. I've shopped at this store a few times, and overall I would say that their products are pretty nice. Much of the clothing is soft and comfortable. However, it is the "one size fits all" aspect of this store that enrages me. I recently bought a pair of gold hoop earrings from the store. I was quite excited to wear these to a dinner party I was planning on going later that day. I had gathered together a dynamite outfit, and all that was missing were gold hoop earrings. So flash forward to about an hour before the dinner party when I was to finally put on the gold hoop earrings. So there I am, in an outfit that needed these gold earrings; they were the glue of the outfit. So I take the earrings out of the package and attempt to put then through my ear. And before I go any further, I would like to add that I have a regular-sized ear of medically "normal" height, width, and depth. I also have a regular size earring hole. When I attempt to put the earrings in, they won't budge. So I try and I try and I try, but they just won't fit. After about 30 minutes of trying, three phone calls to my best friend, and an ocean of tears, I give up, throwing the earrings across the room out of rage. Naturally, I was forced to cancel my dinner party due to this unstable emotional state. In short, the earring was simply too large for my very regular sized ear. After I had calmed down from my eruption of emotions, I thought about the fiasco that was the last hour of my life. This was when the emotional aftershocks hit. I suddenly felt a hurricane of emotions: sadness, regret, disappointment, heartbreak. My self-esteem began to plummet. Why didn't the earring fit? Do I have an abnormal ear? Do people talk about my ears behind my back? Are my abnormal ears the reason people always give me dirty looks in the hallway of my gym? Luckily, before these self-loathing thoughts could go any darker, my best friend showed up at my door with ice cream in hand and a warm hug to comfort me. We sat down in the kitchen and worked through all of the emotional trauma I had felt. Two hours later, I was back to my perky regular self, all my inhibitions floating away with each spoonful of ice cream. Although I have since recovered from the catastrophe that was that evening, I will never forget how I felt. Ears come in all different shapes and sizes, so to advertise products as"one size fits all" is a simple, outright lie. But not only is it dishonest, but it greatly affects one's self-esteem. Those who do not fit in the supposedly "one size fits all" immediately are excluded from "all". This notion leads these people, such as myself, to believe that somehow their body is abnormal; their body is not right. It leads them to believe that their body is not good enough. My experience with the earring will forever change who I am as a person, how I present myself, and how I confront my insecurities. In the face of such mental adversity, I will never be the same. read more

I used to love this place (and to be fair, I still do) but after an encounter with an extremely rude and obnoxious employee, I think I might reconsider my future trips here.. Sometimes I pick items up in hopes of trying them on without counting how many I have. And as you all may know, they ask you how much items you have. I guessed and said 6 but turns out I had a few more than just that. After that, the girl (dark ginger short hair with curtain bangs) got evidently suspicious of me .. which is stupid because I didn't even do anything.. On my way out of the dressing room, she asked to count how many items I tried on. But what REALLY struck a nerve is when the alarm beeped on my way out. I paid for everything I got, and the alarm was probably faulty because the door was closed (sometimes when the door is closed it causes a false alarm to go off) and the same girl forced me to show her my purse, all it's contents, and it's pockets, TWICE?! She made me flip all my pockets inside out, show her my back pockets, and made me show her everything in my bag. It was 9 PM and vaguely, I just wanted to go home. Kudos to the asian girl with straight black hair for defending me and saying she checked me out and I only bought clothes. read more

This location has such rude staff! I came in today because I had an exchange from a purchase from Sunday. We shopped around staff sat in the back the whole time, and when my daughter asked for a fitting room they looked at each other as if it was an inconvenience! Once we were ready to check out the cashier Caitlin just took one look at my receipt and said this is past the 14 days. Excuse me? I had to correct her and told her that's impossible since the purchase was two days ago. We got a shirt w/ out a price tag and she asked me to go get one w/ one (not a problem) but I asked if she can give me the shirt w/ tag and she said she couldn't and couldn't explain to me why as if I was too dumb to understand. She then turns to the girl next to her and asks her to explain to me why? How f*** rude! And the explanation made no sense because of the sku number!? It had no tag! What sku number. Once I paid my difference and was getting to leave I noticed something was missing from my bag so I let Caitlin know and she looked at the counter and said here it is. No I'm sorry or anything.! I come to this store pretty often and I work retail and I was not happy with the fact that I tried on 7 items which was not much compared to the pile of clothes the girl in the room next to me tried on and I was the one who got checked to make sure I came out with the items I went in with like what?? Of course you're gonna make sure the Latina isn't stealing. If you're just "doing your job" make sure you're "doing your job" with every customer. Workers were very rude, no acknowledgement of your existence at all. They were chatting amongst themselves while ringing my order up and were not paying attention which caused my Apple Pay to charge twice. When I asked what happened it felt like I was disturbing their conversation. Just flat rude. Management needs to seriously work on their customer service skills. read more

By far one of the best Brandys I've been to. This store is bigger than most Brandys and it was very organized despite it being a busy Sunday. The girls are very sweet! Sure they're not the type to be obnoxiously nice where they greet you as soon as you walk in, but if you ask them for help they'll gladly do it! The girl with long dark hair helped me find a pair of jeans I was looking for while she was holding a bunch of clothes already! Also the two beautiful girls behind the register were also very helpful and nice. One of them resembled Fatherkels and the other one resembled Zendaya haha! I see what you did there Brandy! The one who looked like Z helped me recover my store credit and she was very sweet and patient about it! Wish I got their names, but finally some pretty Brandy girls with personality! read more

i have never felt so discriminated in my life. they accused me of stealing when i clearly did not do anything except look around (they asked to check my bag). i was the only minority with colored hair in a store and they specifically targeted me. my friend also had accessories in her hand, like me, but they did not question her. i did not get their names, but it's the white girl with brown hair and glasses. when confronting them, they told me that it was just a security procedure but it's hard to believe when there are so many girls in there (non POCs) who were clearly stealing or looked suspicious but did not get stopped by anyone. this was such disappointing experience as there were so many cute items i would've purchased but unfortunately the rudeness and blatant racism towards me has ruined not only the store but the whole entire brand in my friend and my's eye. i hope the employees get fired. read more

this brandys wack. my friend went into the dressing room and the rude ass employee walked in on her (while she was changing) and checked her bags bc she suspected shoplifting for some reason? she found a camo tube top I had given her from urban (not brandy) and she basically refused to give it back because apparently they had it in their inventory. my friend kept telling her that it was from urban but she refused to give it back until my friend literally yelled it. she read the tag, had this smug look on her face, and gave it back. read more
