There are already so few remaining options for plus-size shoppers who want to shop in person, which made this experience, though small in the grand scheme, especially disappointing. I was the only customer in the store with two sales associates working. The store was already straightened up and it was clearly a slow period, yet I wasn't greeted when I walked in, wasn't acknowledged while browsing, and even let myself into the fitting room, and exited without anyone saying a single word to me. I know they saw me because I made eye contact with one of the associates when I came through the door. I also recognize this may not be representative of the store as a whole, and perhaps I just visited during an off shift. Even so, every customer deserves to be acknowledged. My hope is that management shares this feedback with the team, not because I expect over-the-top service, but because I feel as though these associates failed to meet the bare minimum. For many plus-size shoppers, stores like Lane Bryant are among the few places where we can still shop in person. I think it's important that people recognize the impact of making plus size customers feel invisible in a space that is explicitly for them, that exist in a landscape (retail or otherwise) where plus size people are already preferred to be invisible.

Throughout that time, I participated in their rewards program with the understanding that my purchases would allow me to earn points that could later be redeemed for rewards. For several months, I repeatedly checked the rewards section to use the points I had earned, but there were never any meaningful rewards available. I have screenshots documenting that I consistently checked and found no available options. When I contacted customer service, I explained that my concern was not about receiving a discount or a special offer. The issue is that these were rewards I earned through my own purchases and loyalty to the company. I was not asking for a favor or compensation -- I was asking for access to the benefits I earned. Unfortunately, my experience with customer service was extremely disappointing. Instead of addressing the lack of availability and the customer experience issue, I repeatedly received responses referring to terms and conditions and was offered a discount code. A 10% discount does not reflect the value of the purchases and loyalty I have provided over the years, nor does it resolve the issue. I believe customers should be able to trust that loyalty programs provide real and accessible benefits. My concern is the lack of transparency and the feeling that the rewards program was promoted without a realistic opportunity for customers to use the points they earned. After this experience, I no longer feel comfortable supporting the brand. I am sharing my experience so other customers can be aware of what happened and make informed decisions.
